Is Itunes store in U.S. temporarily down?

I've done what this one person told me to do with no results of it working.the store screen is still blank except for the side bars of Itunes genius and those things. but other than that. nothing. Is the store down in The U.S.? I 've done what needed to do with winsock and all. My dad has the same issue when I had him do that this past weekend. so it can't just be my computer. if he has the same issue.

I am still waiting to recieve message acknowledging the submission. I hope it comes soon.
A previous submission was approved in 4 days but had to be deleted.
This would be my second submission. I think being able to still subscribe to current submission tells me I am closer to having my podcast in U.S. iTunes.

Anyone know how to fix this? Every reference I have found is old, nothing recent like Lion or newest ver of iTunes.

I'm trying to connect iTunes to the the iTunes Store to update the software and access my library online. I keep getting this error message even though I have full Internet access since I'm online typing this right now and I have email via Mail and Outlook and I can use Safari or FireFox to connect to the Internet just fine.
The message box also includes " Make sure your network connection is active and try again. "
Any suggestions / help would be much appreciated.

Resolved. Found that Little Snitch Firewall was accidentally marked to deny connections to iTunes Store.

I have a power mac and when in Itunes I click on "Store" I get an error message that reads "Itunes could not connect to the Itunes store. The host is down."
Well I know my internet is working because I am writting this message does anyone else ever have this problem.

My iPad won't connect to the iTunes store and the three buttons down the bottom are I'm a different language. I signed out and logged into my own account as I bought it Orr eBay. Logged into the app store and it was perfectly fin. Everything was in English. How do I get my iPad to connect to the iTunes app and change the language? :(

Mac Mini 2010 (0sx 10.7.4) unable to access iTunes Store in three weeks

Hi there,
I have read and tried virtually EVERYTHING I could find via the net including Apple's own problem solving solutions regarding the fact that my Mac Mini (late 2010) running Osx 10.7.4 simply cannot not access the iTunes store... AT ALL "iTunes could not connect to the iTunes Store. The host is down. Make sure your network connecvtion is active and try again" blah blah yes yes). Every other use of the internet works brilliantly on it.
It has now been THREE WEEKS... waiting and trying a myriad of solutions proposed by discussion groups and professionals (incl Apple), HOWEVER... as it stands, I have use an old G5 PowerPC Tower when I need to do anything invloving the iTunes Store, which is sad as I really would like to pass it on as a gift. SO, I have a brand new OS that is pretty much useless for Apple's own products (do you want our $$ spent in your store or not) and the two iPhones, the old G5, the old PowerMac Lappy and an even older Mac Lappy all happily connect to iTunes BUT it seems this new OS "Lion" (like the Wizard of OZ character... lacks the "courage" to actually do it's job.
I have rebuilt networks, prefs, used terminal, deleted prefs, changed Apple Id, password, ports, etc etc etc etc... I don't think there is one solution I haven't tried ALL I can say is... ***??? Thank god I do know enough about Mac systems to get around, I would hate to be my mother or grandparents or a newbie. As it is iTunes is useless (now just a fancy MP3 player. Does ANYONE know something I haven't tried? Or is this mac mini... simply a fancy apple tv that can't actually access anything Apple...) Cheers

scroll down to the bottom of the front page of your iTunes Store. do you see a little thing saying "Mein Store: Deutschland"?
if so, click on that and select "United Kingdom". are you back seeing English headers again?

Computer-specific loss of access to iTunes Store

For the past week or so any attempt to access the iTunes store from my G4 desktop Mac brings up the message
"iTunes could not connect to the iTunes Store. The host is down. Make sure your network connection is active and try again."
My connection is OK and all other Internet services are functioning properly. I have no trouble connecting to the Store via the same ISP from my PowerBook G4. Trashing the preferences and/or downloading and installing the latest version of iTunes on the desktop G4 did not help. I checked the keychain for problems as suggested on the Apple iTunes trouble-shooting site but all was well there. I am not using a proxy connection.
Some time before I noticed this problem I had a system malfunction which necessitated erasing the HD on the desktop G4 and reinstalling all software via an external bootable backup using Synchronize! Pro X. I am wondering if this could have any influence on my iTunes issue?

Problem solved - there was a blocking rule in Little Snitch. I must have hit the 'Deny access' button by mistake.

Is Music Removed From The Itunes Store?

Hi Guys,
I was browsing around in itunes yesterday for some music I heard on a radio station. I found that itunes had several of the artists I was looking for, and I decided to return to the store today to buy them. However, when I went back on the itunes store, I tried using power search to pull the songs I wanted to buy up again, only to find that the songs weren't there (I just got the "Your search did not match any results." message)
The thing is, I KNOW that these exact same songs were on the power search just yesterday evening. Does Apple remove songs from the itunes store if they are not as popular as others, or is it just my itunes program acting up? (the songs I was looking at I found by digging way down deep in the Electronic section).
I would appreciate anybody's answers to this problem.

P.S. Here is a couple of songs I wanted to buy that have apparently "disappeared" from the itunes store. Mabey one of you guys could plug these into the power seach and see if they come up on your itunes program:

It is possible that you may be looking at the iTune Store for a different country.
Click on the Home icon at the top of the iTunes Store window, and the scroll down to the bottom of the page.
Make sure the country pull down is correct, and then try your search again.

I have been having problems downloading the new episode of the Legend of Korra! Is anyone else having this problem? It keeps saying that the itunes store is down, if so when is it going to be back up?

I know I was told it would be back up in a week or two when I called back in November, but I just checked today and I'm still getting the 'iTunes Store is temporarily unavailable' message. I am having the same issue. I thought it was because I just updated my itunes so I went back and reinstalled it. No luck fixing the issue. I called apple support and they said that itunes was NOT down. Not sure what the problem is but would sure love someone to point me in the right direction!!!

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
This works for some users. Not sure why.
Go to Settings>General>Date and Time> Set Automatically>Off. Set the date ahead by about a year.Then see if you can connect to the store.
