Is Java Compatible with Pocket PC 2003

Hello!
Can anyone answer this Question?
Can I run Java code(Servlets, JSP) in the Microsoft Pocket PC 2003 OS.

dear,
Java is not only Servlets and JSPs. I wonder why some one will need to use pocketpc as web server.???
As far as the question of java compatibility with PPC is concerned, You know java is hardware and plateform independent, you need a virtual machine that can translate byte code into plateform specific executeable.
...So is the case with PocketPC 2003 as well.

  • Is J2EE compatible with Windows server 2003?

Is J2EE compatible with Windows server 2003? Whenever I try to install it says its not compatible, and the sun site only mention XP and 2000 Advanced Server.
Does anyone use J2EE on win2k3server? Which version do you use?

Which J2EE version are you trying to install and where did you download it from? J2EE 1.4 SDK should install and run on Windows 2003. At what point in installation exactly are you getting this message?

  • How do I run a Java Application on Pocket PC 2003 (iPAQ 2210)

I am writing an application for the iPAQ 2210. It will need to commuunicate over GPRS sending POST requests to a server (I think I will be using the Java.net package) the user interface will be very simple (a few buttons and text boxes) and will capture the data entered and send it back to the server (via the POST HTTP request) and read the response from the POST.
I believe I need to use the Personal Profile version of J2ME and I am only using the classes that it says are supported. How do I run the App on the Pocket PC. Having spoken to HP they have said I shouldn't need a virtual machine and that pocket pc 2003 has one built in! Is this so or should I get myself the Jeode Virtual machine?
Is the Jeode machine the best one?
Sorry to ask so many questions in one go, I'm a little lost at the moment!!
    Jon

    Hello Jon,
I will suggest you using IBM WSDD. Although it uses its own version of JVM(J9), but it suits to your needs well.
I think you should base your project on foundation profile(as you need some gui as well as java.net).

  • Problems executing own java code on Pocket Pc 2003 SE

I've installed creme 4.0 beta on my HPx4700 running Windows Mobile 2003 SE (Second edition).
But creme fails executing my javacode when executing it with jrun:
The error says, that creme cannot find the class. I have tried putting the .class file in the bin.directory where creme.exe is located, aswell as putting it in the lib directory where the java libraries are located. Nohing seems to work. (BTW have tried superwaba jvm, same error). Wondering if it migh be a missing configuration of the OS?
Although i must add that some applets can actually load in the browser. Which means the java plugin is registered and working.
    Any one capable of helping?
    /SBM

well try to package your classes into a jar file then copy it to ur PDA. u can eecute the jar file directly by double clicking on it. otherwise u need to place everything in the root folder of ur device..

  • If posible tu use more panel in Labview such as LOOKOUT, with Pocket PC 2003. My applications need more panel.

My aplications for labview pda , Pocet PC 2003 need more panels. All the panels must execute in the same time such a multitasking. Lookout have this functions.
It is posible to make this?

LabVIEW PDA does not support having multiple panels (VIs) to be visible at the same time. You can have multiple VIs running at the same time, but only one front panel can be visible at a time. In your application you can control what is visible on the PDA at any given point in time.
    From the manual:
PDA VIs display only one front panel at a time. Calling a subVI that shows its front panel when called causes the subVI front panel to obscure the front panel of the calling VI.

  • Is there a way to connect a java system with MS Project 2003?

Hi, i am not very sure that this is the correct place to put my question, i will be grateful if some one could guide me about this.
Well, the subject of this topic is basically what i am asking to. I am developing a system in jdeveloper in my work and i want to put the assignments that the people have in MS Project too.
Any information will be great because i am very lost.
    Thank you very much.

Question is unclear to start with.
There is a MS Project file somewhere. You either want to get data from it, put data in it or both.
Or you want MS Project to put/get data from something (I am not sure what.)
Then there is jdeveloper which is a development tool. Which perhaps has a task based system?
If the following is true that you want tasks in jdeveloper and you do NOT want to write software then it would a a question for a jdeveloper forum. If you want to write software and you already know that jdeveloper doesn't have this functionality then your first step would be to learn how tasks work in jdeveloper and how to integrate new functionality into jdeveloper. Again all of that would be addressed on a jdeveloper forum.

  • Is WebI 2.7.5 compatible with Windows 2003 Server?

Currently have WebI 2.7.5 installed on a Windows 2000 Server and working fine.
Is WebI 2.7.5 compatible with a Windows 2003 Server?
    Thank you.

    Hi Craig,
    - Not supported means that particular version of Operating System is officially not tested (Product Group has not tested any report with that version) i.e. it may or may not work at users end.
    - If it woks at your end and you will get some issues (like error message or other server related issues) then BO support will not able to assist you as the version of OS which you are using is not officially tested at BOu2019s end.

I bought a new imac running Loin with Office 2011. I am the only mac in the office and the Server we use to access emails runs exchange 2003 and my IT person says the imac is not compatible with the server. The server does not want to let me access using any email software other than webmail access through our website. It looks as though 2011 is not compatible with 2003 per some searches online, but what are some options I have to gain full access again? I purchased parallels in hopes that this my help and I am able to use remote desktop connection to log on to server but can not drag and drop files I need. There is a shared drive on that Server we all use to exchange files.
The two main issues are gaining access to my email again and ability to drag and drop files from mac to pc. I hope this is enough info to get some solutions.
PS - IT person says my iMac's IP is what his server does not understand so that is why I can not login.

Office 2011 is not compatbile with Exchange 2003.
I suggest you post further Office related questions on Microsoft's own forums for their Mac software:

  • Java, Adobe Acrobat, HP Web Printing, Adobe Contribute, all of which people use world round no longer compatible with Firefox? Maybe it's time to go back to IE.

Firefox used to be the best, now its working against every piece of software i use in the publishing industry. Java is important, so is Adobe Acrobat, and Adobe contribute.
Maybe it is time to kick Firefox to the curb. Firefox is not getting better, it's getting worse. It freezes, it crashes, it's no longer compatible with major programs in the publishing industry.
AND, you guys never answer any of your users. I'm tired of Firefox freezing up. read your freaking forums. Your not making the internet better, I used to have such faith you.

  • Is PDFMaker compatible with Win7 *and* MSWord 2003?

This is a follow-on question to my earlier question of Sept 6 "Is Acrobat Pro V9.4.4 compatible with Win7" answered by CtDave.
My co-worker uses XP, MS Word 2003 and Acrobat Pro V9.4.4. Before his last day, his license is to be transferred to my computer (MS Word 2003 and Win 7). Will his version of Acrobat Pro V9.4.4. work okay for 508 compliance purposes since I have both 2003 and Win7?
Just doublechecking with that additional information...
    Thanks,

Win 7, Office 2003 is bit of an awkward combination.
Best practice would be to update to the Office suite intended for the new OS.
MS Office 2003 applications are compatible with Acrobat 9.x PDFMaker.
So, configure Acrobat's PDFMaker to Enable Accessibility and Reflow with tagged Adobe PDF.
Master a test file in Word and give use of PDFMaker to output PDF a try.
If you get the PDF walk the structure tree (in the Tags Panel).
Is all proper there? If yes, then you've a workable OS / Office / Acrobat combo.
    What is proper?
View this video from the PDF Association's PDF/UA Competency Center:
    http://www.pdfa.org/video/duff-johnson-what-a-pdf-developer-needs-to-know-to-implement-pdf ua-well/
Don't be dissuaded by "implementer" (aka developer).
Fact is that for a while yet it is the "in the trenches" end-users who have to use what is at hand to author and post-process the PDF.
The principles discussed in the video provide the punch list of what needs to be present.
    Be well...
