Not officially. It's not officially compatible with Vista. Best thing to say is to try it. There have been many posts of people getting it to work.

  • Is LabView 5.1 compatible with Windows XP?

Is LabView 5.1 compatible with Windows XP?
I get a popup "Severe....Wrong OS", but Labview continues to try to install even after the OK for the error.
I'm trying to install 5.1 on a new computer bought for the test set.

Although I have not tried it, there are reports that some people are using it.
I think the OS requirement is a minimal requirement, so it should be okay.
However, there are also reports of people having trouble with the installation, as discussed here
Apparently, if you are successful at installing it without the error message, then it is fine, otherwise, you may not be able to install it.
    See this message
Did you complete the installation?  If so, did you reboot and start LV5.1?

Here is a quote from NI rep:
"Unfornutaley, we have made nothing for LabVIEW 5.1 and windows XP. You need test if during the installation do you have message with "Wrong OS", if do you haven't this message you can use it. But all computer with windows XP don't supported LabVIEW 5.1. See my link that we have customer they have try to install LabVIEW 5.1 under Windows XP."

  • HT1363 why exactly isnt  the ipod classic 1st gen compatible with windows7?

when i connect my ipod classic 1st gen to my windows 7 32-bit labtop it says it says one of the usb devices attached to this computer has malfuntioned and wndows dose not reconize it.....i have read that the 1st gen ipod classic isnt compatible with windows 7...but why?

    clarification needed
if it is the iPod 1st Gen (2001-2002), then it run only on Mac OS 9 and 10, will not run on any Windows machine.
If it is a iPod Classic Rev 1 (generally known as 6th Gen, circa 2008), then it runs on both Mac OS X and Windows XP or later  machine.

  • Is itunes 7 compatible with windows7?

I am a representative of the Windows 7 Compatibility Team at Microsoft. As a valued partner, we would like to work with you to ensure your product itunes 7 is accurately represented on the Windows 7 Compatibility Center. Could you please provide me information whether it is compatible with both 32-bit and 64-bit Windows 7 operating system? Thanks in advance.

So older versions of iTunes will not read new iOS updates, but the latest version of iTunes can read lower iOSs.
Thanks for the response Have a great day!

  • Is labview 7.1 compatible with windows 7

Now am using labview 7.1 in windows XP. I plan to buy a new laptop (preferably Dell Inspiron) , and I came to know that all latest editions come with Windows 7. Also it is not possible to make windows XP the OS for the above laptop as the drivers are not available and many features would not work. I am not in a position to buy latest version of Labview also. Is there any problem of compatiblity between Windows 7 and Labview 7.1
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

LabVIEW 2009 and the November 2009 NI Device Drivers DVD officially
support Windows 7.  Official support indicates that we have tested
products and that any bugs will be addressed per our normal support
process, which is documented in The Software Engineering Process for National Instruments Product Development.
National Instruments products released prior to the aforementioned
versions are not officially supported on Windows 7. However, Microsoft
has stated that most applications supported on Windows Vista will run
smoothly on Windows 7 due to the underlying similarity of the two
operating systems as described in How compatible are your applications? Therefore, you may be able to install and use these products on Windows 7 without issues.

  • Is NIMODBUS.LLB Compatible With Windows7

    Good Morning,
I have written code using the nimodbus.llb library using Win2000 and LabVIEW 2009.  Works fine.  I want to install my application on a new laptop with windows 7.  Before I purchase the laptop I'd like to know if it will work.
    Thanks,
    Dave

There is no reason why it shouldn't.  It is all pure LabVIEW code that uses VISA functions to communicate with the serial port.  If your LabVIEW can run on Win7, then so should the modbus llb drivers.

  • Is this software compatible with this operating system?

Is LabView 7.0 compatible with Windows Vista operating system?

    Hi Fester,
Unfortunately, LabVIEW 7.0 is not compatible with Vista.  LabVIEW 8.2.1 is the first version that supports Vista.

  • Digivox micro HD problem with Windows7

    Hi,
After succesefull installation of driver and ArcMedia software I could see atached device, but no available channels it could found. I used coaxial cable (have a Cable TV). Then I've tried with Media Center on my Windows7, and I couldn't configure it properly, because it couldn't download some settings for my zone. After that action my pc doesn't even recognize tv tuner. The first question is do I need Media Center for watching TV if I already have ArcMedia software? And the second one, why my pc doesn't recognize DigiVox tv tuner, and is it compatible with Windows7?
    Best regards, Uros

Yeh I've just tried using a signal booster but still no luck.
Tried moving the aerial around but it still doesn't receive them.
The aerial signal receives a perfect signal for the freeview box so I don't think it is the signal that is at fault.
    Thanks for helping

  • Is cRIO-9073 compatible with LabVIEW 8.5.1?

    I just received a cRIO-9073 and a cRIO-9074.
When I configure them, both of them appear properly in MAX.
When I add them to a LabVIEW project, the cRIO-9073 does not show its FPGA target. The cRIO-9074 does show it.
I am using LabVIEW 8.5.1, is it compatible with the cRIO-9073?
    Thanks for any help.

    Hi Oswald,
Thank you very much for the very prompt response. This should solve my problem.
Also, after I read you message, I finally found the link to the software revision/compatibility file in the CompactRIO cRIO-9072/3/4 Operating Instructions and Specifications on page 3:
"Notes Visit ni.com/info and enter the info code rdsoftwareversion to determine which software you need to use the cRIO-9072/3/4."

  • Is the Intel I340-T4 Ethernet card compatible with LabView 8.6?

We are currently looking in to having our LabView program process the output of two Allied Vision cameras, run through a PCI GigE card.
On our old machine (32-bit Vista), we have a PRO/1000 PT Quad working just fine with the LabView interface - and we want to upgrade to a better PC with 64-bit Win 7.
We are under the impression that PRO/1000 PT is not compatible with Win 7, and were looking into either I340 quad-port adapters:
    http://ark.intel.com/products/49186/Intel-Ethernet-Server-Adapter-I340-T4
Does anyone have any insight as to the compatibilities of the Intel 82580 controllers with LabView 8.6?

    Hi Civa,
Scott here from AVT technical support.   You are correct re. that PT card not being Win7 compatible.  Here's a link to our current recommendations for NICs and switches.
    http://www.alliedvisiontec.com/fileadmin/content/PDF/Support/Application_Notes/Hardware_Selection_fo...
If it's NOT in that list, it doesn't mean it won't work, merely that we haven't tested it and do not know.  We do not attempt to test every 3rd party product on the market.
And our testing is typical with AVT SDKs not with Labview, though there are thousands of joint AVT / NI customers, and we'd have heard by now if there were any conflicts, I am confident.
    Regards,
    Scott

  • Are USB-6008 drivers available that make it compatible with LabVIEW 6.1?

I'm using a USB-6008 Multifunction DAQ, but it is not compatable with teh version of LabVIEW I'm using, 6.1. I may be able to upgrade to LabVIEW 7.1 to solve the problem, but I wanted to know what alternatives I have. Are there any available drivers or patches that allow the USB-6008 to be recognized by LabVIEW 6.1?

Unfortunately, no. The driver for the USB-6008, DAQmx Base 1.5 is only compatible with LabVIEW 7.0 or newer.
