Is latest Java SE 1.4.2_42 available to download? Need Patch!

Dear All,
Because the latest security issue (Feb/2013) also affect 1.4.2, it need to be patched.
And there is also a release note for 1.4.2_42 that fix that security issue.
So anyone know if this release of 1.4.2_42 exist and how can I download it?
Thank you very much!
Handi

I'm not sure this is a matter of sticking with outdated software. This software gets installed as part of the Solaris 10 system and users like myself may not know why. We don't use it directly in our work but does any part of Solaris need it? If I removed it would anything break? If I knew it was safe to remove, i'd remove it. It isn't always clear what dependencies the system may have on outdated software packages such as these.

  • How to Find the Latest Version of Cluster Binary Files available at Microsoft website

How we can find the latest version of Cluster binary files available for download at Microsoft Website and which Cluster Binaries should be update to make the Cluster services stable healthy.

@AnatolySV : I believe you need to put some efforts to understand what he is asking.
You may find the latest version of Cluster Binaries by entering the required keywords for Microsoft Failover Clustering. Some of the main Cluster binaries(Keywords) are:-
Clusres.dll (For Cluster Resources like Disk, Application or Service, Cluster IP)
    Clussvc.exe (Cluster Service)
TCPIP.sys (If the Storage is presented to the cluster Nodes via ISCSI Network).
MPIO.sys / ISCSIprt.sys (If we are using Multipathing for the disks to be presented).
    RHS.exe (Resource Host Subsystem)
So, the Answer to your question is: You need to enter the binary name "Clusres.dll" and mention the Operating System you want to install your binaries to "Windows Server 2008 R2 Sp1" on Bing (Preferred for Microsoft Hotfixes). In Result you will get the
    list of hotfixes for clusres.dll
You need to try this multiple times in order to get the latest version as Microsoft does not have a single Link.
Hope this answers your query. Feel free to leave a message incase you need more help.
    Maybe)
But hey, you`ve got +1 from me for clarification)
Anyway, I still think that the initial question could be more clear and exact.

  • Is a mutli-folio app still available to download after Professional/Enterprise subscription cancellation?

I aim to create an app for iPad and android tablets which would be updated twice yearly with revised content.
I understand that in order to achieve this I would need at least a 'Professional' DPS subscription.
My intentions were to subscribe to 'Professional' in order to publish the app then cancel the subscription once approved and available for download. Then repeat for each update.
As the multi-folio app would be hosted by Adobe, what happens once a subscription is cancelled?
Would the latest version of the app still available for download or would it be removed from the app stores?
Thanks in advance for any advice.

So, the app simply acts as the folder for the content and once unsubscribed this content is pulled from the app? In essence it would then become an empty folder until a subscription was renewed?
My original intent was to create a built-in single issue app but as that is not possible for Android I am obliged to create a multi-folio app, hence requiring an expensive subscription for 'Adobe DPS Professional'. Is there no easier/cost effective solution to be able to cater to both platforms in this case?
Please bear with me as I'm new to DPS and still trying to get my head around it all.

  • Latest Java release (1.6.0_25) crashes systematically on Firefox

The online software developed by my company uses multiple Java applets on the page. When we tested the latest Java update (1.6.0_25) last week, we realized that Java would unexpectedly stop when used with Firefox.
I managed to create a test page to reproduce this issue. In the page, I used applets available from java.com and javatester.org (it's simple applets which test your Java version).
To reproduce it, go to [http://www.aleks.com/multi_applets_crash2] and click on refresh. After few times (usually less than 10 times) Java will stop and the applets won't be displayed. If you had the Java console opened at the same time, you would be able to see it close suddenly. No Java icon is visible in your Windows system tray.
We tested with Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7 and with different versions of Firefox (4.01.1, 3.018, 3.5.10, 3.5.15, 3.6.3, 3.6.13 and 3.6.17). With Java 1.6.0_25, it always crashes.
If you test with Java 1.6.0_24 it does NOT crash.
If you test with other browsers (IE and Chrome) and Java 1.6.0_25, it almost never crashes.
Any help to fix this issue would be greatly appreciated. If you think I should post this somewhere else, please advise (I have also posted this issue on bugzilla.mozilla.org: [https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=654847]).

    Hello,
Just a quick question: can we have an official position from Sun regarding support of earlier releases of Solaris with Java RTS 2.1? Our customer is currently running Solaris 10 Update 3 with current Recommended patches, and the 2.1 beta cyclic driver supported this version of Solaris. However with the official release version of 2.1, support for U3 disappeared (only U4 and U5 are now supported). Aside from "rubber stamping" the Solaris build via /etc/release, is there a technical reason why U3 is no longer supported? As long as our kernel is up to date, can we safely use 2.1? Or is it just a case of being unable to officially support and test so many releases of Solaris?
Is this a general rule-of-thumb we can expect in future: only supporting the last 2 updates of Solaris 10?
    Your advice is appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Dave.

  • Latest Java for OSX -- Up-To-Date? Where's new?

I sure could use answers from you Gurus out there, or pointers to where I can get the straight poop. TIA.
I use a non-Apple produced Chat application (gabbly) that I believe is written in Java. One day last month, this app suddenly lost its graphics. Some buttons became invisible, though their mouseovers were still visible, and if I wait till the mouseover shows up to show me I'm still on the invisible button, "it" will work. Other graphics work wrong, also.
I use adblock in FF, but no joy if I turn it off.
I cleared all FF cookies with "gabbly" in their names; no joy.
In Safari, the app kinda works better -- graphics are there, but some buttons work wrong.
Curiously, another Mac on the same LAN shows the app working fine under FireFox 1. (that rev UTD, OSX UTD) So it's probably some machine-dependent thingie...
    I'm not a developer, just a random end-user...
    MacOS 10.4.9 (Up-To-Date)
    FireFox 2.0.0.4 (UTD)
Safari 2.0.4 (419.3) I believe this is UTD, I install all Apple updates to OSX...
    QuickTime Version 7.1.6
Repair Disk Permissions on my startup disk (where all these apps live -- not done yet, necessitates starting from another disk, which I could do...
The Java test at http://www.java.com/en/download/help/testvm.xml says that I'm "using an older version of Java technology" and that a new one, 1.5.0_07 from Apple, is available.
HOWEVER! Under the Apple Operating System of that same display, is gives my current JRE version is 1.3.1 for OSX 10.2.7.
So, how can it be possible that my 1.5.0_07 is an "older version" of Java, when the lower segment of the same URL's display offers me 1.3.1 ?
And should I downgrade from 1.5.0_07 to 1.3.1 ? To me, it looks like Apple's version of Java is more advanced than the version now on offer from java.com...
Or should I re-install the latest Java from Apple, which another string has pointed at, at http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/java2se50release1.html ? This is all so confusing...

I agree, the Java version numbering could have been better implemented. Supposedly there is something called Java 2, which has been out for awhile that's included in it. Some people here might have a better answer for that:
    http://discussions.apple.com/forum.jspa?forumID=727
I don't understand why the numbering system isn't clearer.
Apple does have this page on Java which may be of some help:
    http://www.apple.com/macosx/features/java/
    And Wikipedia has this page:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Java%28programminglanguage%29
As you can see J2SE is actually numbered 1.1.4 through 1.6.
