Is Lian Li PC-A70F a good NLE case?

I'm still designing my new computer, but thinking about going ahead and ordering the Lian Li PC-A70F while newegg has it for 15% off (ends today 7/25). It's supposed to have 10 3.5" bays and 5 5.25" bays. I was just wondering if anyone had anything good or bad to say about this case for an editing system?

Lian-Li in general make very good cases. 5 external bays will provide you with space for multiple burners, and/or HD caddies, and/or a media card reader. And with 10 internal 3.5" HD spaces, that is great for future expansion. If you plan on having a few SSDs, you can also get the 2 in 1 adapter to pack even more in the case. But it's a bit of problem for cooling (2x 120mm intake fans, 1x 140mm exhaust fan)
I personally like, for the solid look, the PC-Z70. It has a bit less drive space (3x 5.25" external bays, 9x 3.5" internal, but 2x 2.5"). But it is designed for hotswap of drives. Another plus, it's the 2 top fans to cool it down further (3x 120mm intake, 2x140mm + 1x 120mm exhaust). Something the PC-A70F does not have. Food for thought! ;-)
It's good to create a bit of a positive pressure in the case, but not so much as to create a "convection oven" effect. ;-)

Looking for a good folio case for the iPad mini... any suggestions?

I'm interested in a good folio case that includes the smart cover feature. I'm particularly interested in a case that has durability (most of the inexpensive ones on Amazon seem to fall apart over time).

If you enable your iPod for disk use, you should be able to do this without utilities (unless iTunes checks for this kind of thing). See, all of your music is stored (with garbled filenames) under <D:/iPod_Control/Music/> (where "D" is your iPod). So if you use iTunes's "Add Folder to Library" on the "iPod_Control/Music" folder, it should import your iPod files.
So do this,
1. Set Windows to show hidden files and folders, if it isn't already. There are plenty of guides for this on Google.
2. Open iTunes.
3. Enable disk use on your iPod, if you haven't already.
4. Go to File > Add Folder to Library....
5. In the Open Folder dialog box, navigate to your iPod.
6. Go into the iPod_Control folder.
7. Select the Music folder. Click OK.
Note that on Windows, the iPod_Control folder (and its contents) are hidden, so you need to set Windows to show hidden files and folders.

The Griffin Survivor is a military-grade case that I use. It's $40 and I purchased it at Best Buy. It has a rubber piece that covers the charging port, but can be easily removed for charging while still in the case. The only downside of the case is because of the added girth, it makes the iPod unusable with iHomes or other docks unless you take it out of the case.

What is a good nano case with a lanyard?

I received a 4G iPod nano for Christmas, I love it. I also want to protect it, so I want a case/protective cover. However I want one with a lanyard or some sort of clip that I can attach to a neck strap. I would very much appreciate recommendations. What do you like or dislike? Thanks in advance.

Thank you all so much for your replies. I spent a lot of time checking reviews in iLounge and other places, and found it hard to choose. Unable to decide, I happened to be in Wal-Mart yesterday and came across the Belkin flip case. The price was good(< $20), the color nice, and it seems to offer a lot of protection. I worry most about dropping my nano. While the Belkin case is bulkier than I wish, it has a belt holder to which I was able to attach a cord to use as a lanyard rather like the difusi valet case, which looked really nice. iSkin duo was tempting, but I could not figure out from the pictures on the internet if I could somehow attach a cord. At any rate, I am going to use this case for a while, until or unless I see something that is exactly what I am looking for.

Need a good external case

Hello there. Does anyone know of a good external firewire & USB 2.0 case for a DVD burner? I also need it to work with Mac & PC. Any ideas?

I'm very happy with the external cases by http://www.granitedigital.com/ (also known as Relax Technologies). I haven't used one that has USB 2, but there 1170 case is very good for hard drives. Not sure though how well it will work with a DVD burner. Might want to check http://www.xlr8yourmac.com/ to see if there are any issues with specific cases on DVD burners.

I see nothing that looks good at all in this app its like bumper or cheap crap...

I am very dissapointed that Apple is only offering the black bumper!!! What a cheap-scape solution!!! I wish I had bought a bumper before this lame solution so I would have the color I wanted then get a refund for it. Oh, wait, I couldn't buy the bumper when I got the phone because they were never stocked at the store in my city.

Good macbook case for college

I know that this is a little off topic but i know that my fellow macbook owners can help me. I am going to college and I want a nice over-the-shoulder back pack that not only has a spot for my macbook but for books 2. some padding for the macbook would be appreciated too. any extra room for an ipod or any extra compartments would be nice 2. thanx guys!

well I know what you mean as far as needing a good pack (even though im only a junior in high school)
but what I did was go to my apple store and try out packs with my macbook there. The best pack that I found was the incase sling pack. It was a little pricey but completely worth it. here is the link for the page

Good slider case for 4S?

I just picked up a slider case (made by Incase) for my 4S. However, I soon discovered it was too tight, and thus it lifts up the screen protector when it's on my phone. I didn't have this problem with the slider case (also made by Incase) on my 3GS. What good 4S slider cases are there that don't nullify the screen protector?

Looking for a good wallet case like Sena Walletskin

Hi all, I realize this is a support forum, but I hope this question won't be too out of place here
I previously used an iPhone, and loved my Sena Walletskin (http://goo.gl/udgMph) case because it allowed me to carry just my phone (no extra wallet or money clip) but I also didn't need to open it to use my phone. All the wallet cases I've found so far for the Z1 actually close over the screen, so I have to open them to use the phone or take photgraphs. I've contacted Sena directly, but they don't plan on making cases for Sony phones anytime soon.
So can anyone suggest an alternative case? Another wrinkle, it would need to be from a web store that will ship outside the US.

Unfortunately, I'm not aware of any similar case to Xperia Z1 and have not seen one either. I suggest that you check with local retailers to see what they have in stock or different web shops.

Any good iPhone cases out there that you can buy online?

I'm looking for quality because I only want to buy a case once. But my two favorites.... incase and otterbox are both way behind, not even having a release date for their iPhone 4 products.

I bought the iFrogz luxe and love it! I actually bought one for my 3GS model about 8 months or so ago. It's felt held up great. I wear cargo pants and slide my phone in and out of the side pocket all day long and the only wear on the case is the bottom corners. My old case (can't remember who made it now) wore out in a month.
First thing I did on the 24th was to go buy me a iFrogz Luxe case for my iPhone 4. Only disappointing part on it was, I couldn't find it in purple! LOL They have them online in purple (now) but I could only get it in blue at Best Buy! Now AT&T's site shows and cool pink and purple one, but it is not showing up as available to buy yet. As soon as it is, I'm getting it too! LOL
As you can tell, I highly recommend the iFroqz Luxe!

Good protective case with neck lanyard recommendations

I just purchased a 2nd Gen Ipod touch for my daughter for Christmas. I am still waiting to have it delivered. I went to the local Apple store and they had a huge selection of overpriced cases. I am hoping to get recommendations on a case that will give decent protection against scratching, and wearable around the neck so she does not accidentally drop it.

We just bought a macally "Bella" model. It is a leather case for the Touch with an aluminum carabiner and nylon lanyard. It does the trick for the past week so far.
We bought it through MacMall, but I imagine an internet search will do wonders as well.
