Is lightroom 4 compatible with elements 9

I am running elements 9 on a PC and I'm thinking about buying lightroom 4 - will they work together or do I need to upgrade to elements 10 first?  If I do have to upgrade elements which do I load on first? PSE or LR?

As dl_palge already said, both PSE 9 and LR 4 can work together on a machine. The reason being, they both are 2 seperate applications and are not dependent on each other.
So, i am sure, you can run them both without issues.
Enjoy!

Is Adobe Lightroom compatible with Mac's Final Cut Pro?
I have 27" Mac Pro and I'm a Fine Art Photographer. I need features similar to LR. But I need to know ~ is it is compatible with my Final Cut Pro & iPhoto?

  • Is HDR express compatible with Elements 9 ?

Is HDR Express compatible with Elements 9?   What is a relatively easy Hdr program to use with elements 9?
Thanks in advance for any help

Elements doesn't support true HDR because the program is not able to. I use picturenaut which is a freebie. I convert my 3 exposures in elements from RAW to TIFF in a special folder. I open the 3 photos in Picturenaut which merges my photos in true HDR. Tonemapping can be done in Picturenaut or Elements I do this in quick edit. Good luck Chuck

  • Is Lightroom 5.6 compatible with Elements 9?

I would like to take NEF files from Lightroom 5.6 into Elements 9 to merge into a Panorama.
But the option Merge to Panorama in Photoshop is not available.  I am using the path:  Photo > Edit in > ....

I think that only works with Full Photoshop. But you can choose Edit In Photoshop Elements Editor (see image below) and LR will render copies. It’s probably best to choose 8 bit PSD rather than tiff as the files will be more efficient in elements. When all the images show up in the elements project bin use:
File >> New >> Photomerge Panorama
Then click the button “Add Open Files”

  • Is the Nikon D3000 compatible with Elements 8

    Hi
This is my first post on here, so please forgive me if it is in the wrong place.  I want to buy elements 8 and before I do I need to know if my new Nikon D3000, with RAW files in a NEF format are compatible? If not, what do I have to do/plug in?
    Thanks
    Rob

Yes, it is with ACR 5.5.  PSE8 probably does not come with the latest version of Adobe Camera Raw, which is 5.5.  You will have to download and manually install it.  Follow the instructions at the download site:

  • Is Lightroom compatible with iCloud drive?

I am trying to use iCloud drive to store my Lightroom catalog. I want to access it from my iMac and my Macbook Pro, using smart previews. I have read about people doing this with dropbox, but iCloud drive is cheaper for 200gb a month. I exported a new catalog of my images to the iCloud drive folder on one computer. When I open the iCloud drive on the other computer the files are there with the download symbol next to them. Does this mean I have to download to my computer to use with Lightroom? And if so, what do I need to do to sync my changes?
Thanks for any help you may have.

For the record do not try and use iCloud drive with lightroom. Every time you tweak a file you need to repload entire catalog.

  • Is Lightroom compatible with Windows Vista?

Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 1.0 will install and run on Windows Vista; however, Adobe cannot guarantee the quality of the software experience until Adobe fully certifies Photoshop Lightroom for use on Windows Vista...

    No.

  • IPhone 2.0 software now compatible with Photoshop Elements 6?

While the current software is compatible with earlier versions of Photoshop Elements, it is not compatible with Elements 6 since Abobe changed their database (nor longer using Access). I notice that the specs on iPhone 3G say compatible with Photoshop Elements.
Can anyone confirm that means Elements 6?

However, to be fair, while there may be savings to be had, your company would have to replace existing phones with iPhones and tie everyone into one carrier (which accross a multi-office environment may not be practical, due to coverage issues). The iPhone does not offer the level of encryption available to a Blackberry/RIM handset, or the ability to enforce security policies on handsets, which may be a concern to your IT and Security people. It also misses some useful features (such as searching email for words/phrases. This is a feature I use regularly on my Blackberry, and I'm disappointed to not find it on my iPhone. ). And there is the whole, One Vendor issue that may worry some (you can connect non-RIM, e.g. Nokia, etc, phones to your BES providing the phone supports the required blackberry software).
I've got to say, as much as I love my iPhone (and I'm personally migrating from my blackberry to it) I don't think I'd recommend it as an enterprise phone.... yet... It's still got a way to go. As a personal+business phone, I'm giving it a shot (as the personal side is quite good). My current employer is a small company, with no BES, so I use my carrier's BIS, and get by with it. As such, the calendar+contacts sync available through mobileMe is a plus . If I was planning IT direction for a larger organisation though, I'd be considering the iPhone (if for no other reason than an excuse to play with one ), but I wouldn't be preparing a migration just yet!

  • How do I configure RAW editing with Elements 11

I have a new camera, Lumix TZ60, I've taken photos and when I tried editing in Elements 11 I had a message '- - - Visit Camera RAW help' does this mean the camera manufacturer or check with Adobe?
    Any help would be appreciated.

Camera Raw plug-in | Supported cameras
    Camera Raw-compatible Adobe applications
The TZ60 was first supported in Adobe Camera Raw 8.4 which is only compatible with Elements 12 and newer.
So you'll never be able to edit Raw files from the TZ60 in Elements 11.
Why doesn’t my version of Photoshop or Lightroom support my camera?
    Options:
    Upgrade to Elements 13
Free option: download the free Adobe DNG converter, convert all TZ60 Raw files to DNG format then edit the DNG files in Elements 11

  • Help with Elements 12 and Print Studio

i have Elements 12 and cant get print studio supplied with my canon pixma pro 100 to install
    can any one help ??

You messaged me (but please reply to the forum as it will help others with the same problem):
"print studio just keeps saying its not compatible with elements 12 or vice versa??".
Go to Canon's web site and download the latest verson and see if that works. It installed for me OK (not that it worked, as I don't have a compatible printer).

  • Canon 450D CR2 Files compatible with Photoshop Elements 7?

I have recently bought a Canon 450D camera and have noticed that the RAW CR2 images produced are not compatible with my Photoshop CS2 version. I'm not sure about upgrading to the latest version of Photoshop since I probably wouldn't use all the features but I would probably upgrade to Elements 7. Is Elements 7 completely compatible with my Canon CR2 files and has anyone else used this combination and been impressed with the results?
    Thanks.

The 450D came out after CS2 was obsolete so you need at least CS3 to read 450D RAW files.
Elements 7, being the current version, would support the 450D RAW files; however, I use CS4 and LR2 with my RAW files so cannot say how good PSE is or isn't.
The other option is to convert the RAW files to DNG with the latest free DNG Converter and then use CS2 with the DNGs.
If you have a dual or quad-core system with at least 2GB of memory, I'd suggest using Lightroom.

  • Print Studio Pro plugin is not compatible with Photoshop Elements 12 Editor for Mac

It appears that the latest version of Print Studio Pro PlugIn is not compatible with the Editor version of Photoshop Elements 12 for Mac as available on the App store.  The install gives an error saying that it did not find a supported version of Photoshop Elements. This error has been reported before for Elements version 12 but was reportedly fixed in the latest version of Print Studio Pro. Now it appears that this version may support Elements 12 for Mac but not the Editor only version from the app store. Any suggestions for work-around on this?

"Any suggestions for work-around on this?"
    No!
Not untill Mac and Adobe and Canon get their collective acts together.  Mac (Apple) has the bad habit of upgrading their stuff and not being forthcoming with the particulars given to 3rd party companies like Canon and Adobe.
Besides the cost difference of Mac's the compatibility issues are it's worst features.

Have you seen this type of problem before? I think it could be a serious issue for anyone in a similar position.
No; but then, I've not had occasion to use TDM. I've been using firerwire drives for over 10 years, both FW400 and FW800, with no issues except a bit of instability using a B&W G3 machine.
TDM should be safe. Using cautious, manual copying of files from the Target machine to the Host machine should not result in unexpected loss of files or damage to the Target drive's directories. It should behave exactly the same as if it were an external (to the Host) firewire drive.
    •  I don't suppose there is anything I can do to 'put back' lost items from a separate Time Machine drive which has an up to date backup on it.
There is probably a way to do that - seems to me that's one of the reasons for a Time Machine volume.
On the other hand, if the Time Machine volume is rigidly linked to the now-absent OS on the original drive, there may be no way to effectively access the files in the TM archive.
I know that using a cloned drive would work well in this instance.
I have no experience with Time Machine, so perhaps someone who has will chime in with suggestions.
With the machine in TDM with the other machine, have you tried running Disk Utility to see if you can effect repairs to the drive?
