Is Lightroom 5 Student and Teacher suitable for upgrading?

I am using the Lightroom 5 Student and Teacher version.
Now I am asking myself, how I could upgrade to Lightroom 6. According to Adobe, there does not exist a Lightroom 6 Student and Teacher version.
Therefore, could I upgrade the Lightroom 5 Student and Teacher version to Lightroom 6?
Is Lightroom 5 Student and Teacher suitable for upgrading?

Does it mean that i need more than my last school certifiate? Cause i do not own a academic mail adress.

And another question: If Adobe does not accept my student identification, can i reuse the Key from the Box, to sell it again or to use for a relative of mine who is studying? Cause in case Adobe does not accept my student identification, i have purchased a box of paper with a useless CD.

Why is the download "Not applicable" for my online purchase of Adobe Captivate 8 Student and Teacher Edition for Mac?

I purchased “Adobe Captivate 8 Student and Teacher Edition” for Mac on 7/31/14 and it is now 12/17/14 (only 5 months later) but it is showing as “Not applicable” when I go to download (maybe re-download) the program. I understood that I would be able to use the application on 2 computers, one at home and one at work. I think I’ve downloaded the program at home one time but have yet to install and activate it. I now have a new computer at work that can support that program and want to install the program on my office computer, but cannot download it again. Please advise.

It seems like that you have purchased a subscription for Captivate 8. In subscription you do not require any serial number. Subscriptions are activated on the basis of your Adobe Id. When user will install Captivate he has to sign in with the same Adobe Id under which they bought subscription. It will get activated after successful sign in during the installation.
As far as the installer is concern there is no difference in the trial version installer or purchased version installer. The installer is same for trial and purchased copy. All user needs to do is sign in during the installation if it is a subscription or use his serial number if it is a perpetual license or volume license.
You may download the trial version from the link mentioned above and then use your Adobe Id to activate the subscription.

How can I find out if he registered this software without opening it? Problems getting serial number for Lightroom Student and Teacher Edition

Hello. I recieved Lightroom 4 Student Edition from a relative last year. I was in high school at the time, and therefore used my school email address to register the product. Over the summer the company server went down that maintained the website, so I lost access to all of my emails as well as the ability to access any emails sent since then. I have since switched computers, and do not have the serial number to access the software. I had already deactivated Lightroom on my previous computer because my new one was saying it had already been activated twice (it hadn't been though), so I cannot get it that way. Because I can't access the old email address I also cannot get it through the Check Status option under eligibility verification. Any other ideas on how I can get the serial number?
P.S. I am in college now so I have all the information needed to re-verify my student status.

I got an Code to register at the homepage at adobe and after a long search (this side etc is really user unfriendly) I found the possibility to use this code and to send a student eligibility but, and thats totaly stupid, you have to follow a link to a support page of adobe which is actually dead or so. It's called page for customers support (in German: Portal für Kunden Support von Adobe) and you you should go there to fill in stuff with your students informations and the activation key. You follow the link, you come to a page with a big header

and a lot of informations that the support is offline from Oktober 9th to Oktober 15th.
Anyone know how to activate a student version with this damn key?

In the Student and Teacher plan for $19.99 monthly, does it automatically update the programs when need to be?

I currently have the cloud but the previous plan I purchased does not allow automatic updates, therefore I still have CS6, I am hoping with purchasing a new plan it will automatically be able to update the programs when they need to be updated.

There are updates and upgrades.
The Cloud app will automatically apply minor updates.
Upgrades e.g. CC to CC 2014 have to be separately installed by the user whenever you are ready to install the major version upgrade.

Where's The CS6 Complimentary Upgrade for The Student and Teacher Editions?

I bought the student and teacher edition of CS5.5 Design Premium a couple of weeks ago and got the email telling me how to get my complimentary upgrade to cs6 a few days ago. When I went on to adobe.com to look up the pricing for the student and teacher editions of the cs6 programs, there is no upgrade option (the only price shown says "Full from 449.00"). When I looked up pricing for the non-student and teacher editions, the upgrade option is there.
Are the upgrades for Student and Teacher Editions not available yet? Is there anybody else who bought the Student and Teacher Editions having this issue, or is it just me?

I talked with someone from Adobe earlier and they told me that I cant upgrade to another student and teacher edition but I can upgrade to a retail version still at no cost. The email didnt include a coupon code, and I followed the steps but the price remains at the regular upgrade price. I read on the "how to claim" page the associate showed me that I would be getting a code no later than May 31st. Do you think this email was maybe informing me that I am eligible for an upgrade and that they would send me a coupon code at a later date?

Master Collection Student and Teacher Licensing Commercial Use?

I purchased the CS5 Master Collection from my college under this program.
I know it's a perpetual license and that I can upgrade to a commercial version of CS6.
I live in North America and purchased CS5 in North America as well, so I think it's permitted to use this for commercial work. Does anyone know for certain?
EDIT: After a lot of reading through the forums and contacting Adobe helpdesk, it appears that I can use the CS5 Student and Teacher Licensing for commercial work now that I've graduated.

Contact support directly by phone or web chat. Nobody here can straighten out serial number issues. If you have older versions of Acrobat installed, uninstalling them or running the Creative Suite Cleaner Tool and Acrobat Cleaner Tool may resolve any potential conflicts.

"Student and Teacher Edition" vs. "Student and Teacher Licensing"?

My university participates in the "Student and Teacher Licensing" program, where the university gets volume discounts on Adobe products and the students are able to pick up software for below the standard "Student and Teacher Edition" prices. The university sells both versions. I was hoping someone could help clarify two things:
1) Is there any difference, to the end user, between these two versions of the same software? From what I have read on the Adobe website, they should be identical, aside from how the end-user authenticates/activates the software.
2) My primary concern is whether I can use the "Student and Teacher Licensing" version for commercial use (I don't want to be restricted regarding being able to sell my photos processed in Photoshop). It is stated in the "Student and Teacher Edition" FAQ that you *can* use that version for commercial purposes (FAQ here), however the documentation for the "Licensing" option is not as clear on this issue (PDF here, page 5 for FAQ).
Can anyone clarify for me if there actually is any distinction between these two licensing methods, or if they actually are identical to the end-user aside from activation method and cost?

You can use student and teacher edition for profit it is licensed just the same as commercial. I can't find a link for the student version eula anywhere but I know I've read before from adobe that you can.

No, that just means you can't install it on organization, educational , commercial or government computers. only your personal computer.

Are there license limitations on Student and Teacher edition?

I am a student in the UK and have been hoping to purchase Flash CS5.5 Student and teacher edition. However, I have been trying for some time to find out if I would be legally allowed to use the software for commercial use, and have never been able to find a certain answer. I have read through various forums and sites, and most seem to suggest that I can, however I haven't been able to find any information on the official adobe site, even in the Flash Professional license PDF. I'd really appreciate it if someone could give me a certain answer (with source) or point me to where I would definitely be able to get an answer.
