Is Limewire Legal and Safe to U

All my friends use it and I was wondering if the freeware copy is legal and safe to use. Thanks for your time!

you dont need itunes, nor do you need limewire. pay-per-month is acceptable for alot less. and its legall. (if you ask me, itunes music store should burn like tobaco companies)
but the kind gentlemen asked if limewire is legal and safe, both is yes. he didnt want to hear the persone's opinion about why he hates it that posted above me. thats a waste of space we didnt wanna hear. limewire copyright music is illegal, but you choose what your gonna do. chances are, your already using limewire, arent you? so only the individual know whats right and what they are responcible for doing, the li'ves their affecting.
but entertainment itself is an evil buisseness to me since i think music should be enjoyed by the poor and rich. there shouldn't be a price on it, and i dont think god will smite you for it, only money dri'ven police. i say ok, some say no way.

  • OEM Hard Drive Ok and Safe to Buy?

    Greetings from Arizona, USA:
I'm going to buy a new hard drive for an older notebook -- HP Pavilion zv6000.  The drive I'd like to buy online from Walmart is described as follows by the site:
Western Digital Scorpio Blue 120GB Notebook Internal Hard Drive, 5400RPM EIDE 8MB Cache 100Mb/s 2.5" WD1200BEVE - OEM
    http://www.walmart.com/ip/Western-Digital-WD1200BEVE-Scorpio-Hard-Drive/13050586
I am a little uneasy with that last part -- "OEM."  When I think of OEM software, I think of software meant to be shipped with a specific machine.  If you buy such software idependent of that machine you are likely buying it illegally and it can't be upgraded.
A customer service person at Western Digital said he didn't recommend buying OEM hardware because it's not supported by the company BUT it is legal to buy it.
If you wouldn't mind reassuring me that all is well, I would appreciate it.
Is buying an OEM hard drive legal?  Is it safe?
    Thank you for you time.

    Hi,
Yes, it's perfectly legal and safe to use OEM Hard Drives, the computer I'm using at the moment has Two of them

    1. You have a pre-release Beta 1 version of what will become Firefox 4 in like 5 or 6 months. Unless you are intending to test it for flaws and report those flaws to help in the development process, don't use it.
    2. Did you create a new Profile for 4.0b1, and are you using that Profile with it? ''That isn't done automatically when you install 4.0b1, and those of us who have been doing the "testing" for many years consider a new Profile as the basis of doing out testing.''
IMO, Mozilla is making a huge mistake by directly offering these beta versions to the general public.
Also IMO. if you want to play with 4.0b1, use the Portable Firefox 4.0beta version to minimize any conflicts with a currently installed version of Firefox, and to eliminate the need for creating a new Profile for 4.0 Beta #:
Download Firefox Portable Test to your hard drive and double click the '''FirefoxPortableTest_4.0_Beta_#_English.paf.exe''' file. The entire installation (including a new Profile for "Portable") will be self-contained in the \Program Files\FirefoxPortableTest\ folder and won't interfere with an "official" version that you already have installed. Your Profile will be in the \Program Files\FirefoxPortableTest\Data\profile\ folder.
The "down side" is that Firefox Portable won't launch if any other version of Firefox is already running.

  • Firefox 18.0.1 consuming excessive CPU--both in Standard and Safe Mode--when accessing Gmail

Firefox 18.0.1 consumes excessive CPU--both in Standard and Safe Modes--when accessing Gmail (in Standard Mode). CPU consumption averages around 56% on my dual-CPU, Windows 7 desktop.
The only way to stop this from happening it to open Gmail in "HTML" mode. When I open Gmail in Standard mode, a "Loading..." status shows at the top of the page. After about 30 seconds, a error window pops-up within the Gmail page saying that there is a performance problem and provides the option to load Gmail in a limited, "HTML" mode. Clicking the HTML Mode link solves the issue. I've been using Firefox for years and have never seen this issue until now.

at odd times I will get a second instance of Firefox startup. I have run avast av, spybot, malwarebytes, both in normal and safe mode and nothing has been found, any ideas?

That second one sounds like malware.
Do a malware check with some malware scanning programs on the Windows computer.<br />
You need to scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.<br />
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.<br /><br />

#Press the following shortcut to get a Run window: [Windows] + [R]. This should bring up a window that contains a text field.
#In that text field, enter %APPDATA% and press Enter. An explorer window should open.
#From that explorer window, double-click on the ''Mozilla'' folder, then double-click on ''Firefox'' and then on ''Crash reports''. Double-click on ''submitted''.
#Now, you should see a list of files that contain reports. Go to ''View'' > ''Arrange Icons by'' > ''Modified'' to get the most recent files at the top of the window.

  • How can I print BOTH legal and letter on my duel tray printer????

How can I print BOTH legal and letter on my duel tray printer from my mac? on a pc you can choose "print according to pdf size" and the mixed document will print in both legal and letter auto-selecting the printer tray.

    Hello CKAY,
My old printer does not show 8x10 either.
In the printing preferences under the Paper/Quality tab, do you see a "Custom" option or button? There should be one in there somewhere in your preferences.
Click on that and create a custom size of 8 in for the width and 10 in for the length. Be sure to "Name" it 8x10 Photo and click ok.
Now give it whatever attributes you want under the other tabs and click Apply and OK (or just OK).
Close out the printer and open it again and the new size you created should show in the list.

  • How can I delete the update installation files? Or which files are useless and safe to delete?

ThinkVantage System Update application will find the appropriate updates, download them and install them. This is convenient. But when it finishes the updates, it will not clean the installation files it has downloaded, which I think are not useful any more since the update installation is completed, right?
I think the update appliction stores the downloaded files in the folder: C:\Program Files\Lenovo\System Update\ ,   this folder of mine is over 1.32GB big now. But I just don't know which files and subfolders in it are safe to delete.
Or rather, the preload system occupies a large space on the disk. Which files are no longer used and safe to delete?
Would any experts help with this? Thank you very much!
    Norm

I've been experimenting. Now I figure it out. Automatic System Update downloads and stores files in C:\Program Files\Lenovo\System Update\ Sessions\, and in Sessions' subfolders, all files are not used once update is completed except those ending with .xml. Thus those unnacessary files are safe to delete.
This is what I find out so far.
    Continuing to experiment.

  • I have downloaded a concert quite legally and can see it in downloads folder but how do I get to play the concert?

I have downloaded a concert quite legally and can see it in downloads folder but how do I get to play the concert?
    Thanks
    John

Double clicking on it should unzip the file, often resulting in a file in a folder or a file alone.  If the file was purchased as FLAC then the file should end in .flac  (if you have display extensions turned on).  FLAC is a common format but it is poorly implemented on Macs, and Apple is obstinate about supporting it, preferring their own Apple Lossless format.  iTunes won't play it and I don't think Quicktime will either.  Many other applications will but it is inconvenient for everyday use.  The easiest thing to do is to use a converter such as Max or XLD (both free) to convert the file to Apple Lossless (if you desire full-quality comparable to the FLAC format), or to AAC (typical of a file purchased from the iTunes Store).  Both can be readily played in iTunes.

  • How to print legal and letter pages from one pdf on a dual paper printer?

    Hello,
How do I print one pdf which includes both legal and letter sized pages on the respective sized paper?
I purchased Brothers' HL-5470DWT dual paper printer for this specific task. The printer is configured to recognize the second tray (although the paper size is undetermined...) and the print setting includes setting the "Scaling" to "Fit to Paper Size".
Of course, the box is checked for "Choose paper source for pdf page size".
I should be able to configure my print settings and the printer should determine whether to print on legal or letter sized paper. I am using Windows XP sp3 and Adobe Reader 9.5 because I learned that Adobe Reader X was not compatible with dual paper printers. Brother's help desk referred me to Adobe...  Any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Have you attempted without including the option "Fit to Paper Size"; set scaling to None.

  • Difference between Legal and Managerial consolidation?

    Hi,
Can you guys please share your knowledge for this question
Difference between Legal and Managerial consolidation?
    Thanks,
    Charly

This is quite a general question and should not be answered only in context of BPC.
Paraphrasing your question is not really a help.
In general a Legal Consolidation is one whose purpose is to meet statutory requirements [whereever/whatever they are].
For example generating data for Shareholders on an annual basis in Glossy Annual reports.
A managerial consolidation may be similiar in several ways, but focuses on internal factors and may have a different entity structure than that of the Legal structure. Management reports are typically used at the end of any given reporting cycle (actual/budget/forecast etc) and allow 'management' to guage the performance/review the data of their business.
I suggest looking this up on the various financial websites, where you will get better definitions.
Of course in BPC it is possible to do Legal consolidations without 'legal ownership cubes' and this is what many 4.2 customers have done.
In modern BPC i would check the scope of the consolidaton requirements before choosing any 'bpc consolidation methodology'
Raghu's links are also useful in context of BPC.

  • Re: BPC; Legal and Management Consolidation

    Hello,
Would it be possible to have both legal and management consolidation with one Appset and two different Applications? One Application for legal consolidation and another for Management consolidation?
    Please share your inputs.
    Kind regards,
    RJ

    Hi Niranjan,
Can we have both legal and management consolidation in one application ? If there are 2 applications, the processes and reports need to be maintained in 2 different applications.
Is there a way to maintain in one application knowing the complexity involved in intercompany eliminations.
    Thank you,
    Mohan

  • Legal and management consolidation

    Hi experts,
Anybody can specify what are all the differences between legal and management consolidation?
What are the tasks that differentiate each one from the other?
    Regards.

    Hi,
Technically, you can do both in same application. However, it would be advisable to have separate applications. You will need to do lot of intercompany bookings, eliminations. This may increase the amount of data in a single application.
    Hope this helps.
