Is Loading Sceen In Video Games Made in Applications Like Photoshop?

Is Loading Sceen In Video Games Made in Applications Like Photoshop? Isn't photoshop only being able to make photos? If they made the loading screen, do they have to make like 100 copies (1%~100%)? Or did they made it on other softwares like 3ds Max or something?

i have a bluetooth mighty mouse and ive noticed it will lag ever so often. Mine gets cured when i swap out the batteries though. I use rechargeable so that way I can keep a fresh supply of power.
it shouldn't be like that every few seconds.
I recommend using a good quality rechargeable battery and try adjusting your mouse settings to make it more responsive.

  • Why do firefox pages load faster if I switch to different application on the taskbar?

    Using XP sp3, Firefox 27.0.1. Firefox spikes resources usage. I've tried resetting firefox. Granted, my pc is older, and only has 2.25 gig of ram, but until recently the loading time was acceptable. Now it's not. This seems to happen occasionally after firefox is updated.
    Pages are loading much more slowly recently, maybe since security update on 2/14? The odd thing is, if, while the page is loading, I click on another non-firefox application, like the task manager, in the taskbar, the firefox page seems to load faster. Is this possible? The delay seems to be when the spinning circle (I don't know what it's called - favicon?) with the ball has turned green and is rotating to the right. I'm not talking just a few seconds of difference. It could be a minute's difference.
    Thanks for any help you can give.

    Ok, so I installed a program called Process Explorer, which is like Windows Task Manager, but with a bit more information. When Firefox is loading a new page, and is the current window, the page is slow to load and firefox takes between 65-80% of the cpu. If I click off firefox, it can take as much as 97% of the cpu, giving some up to AVG's avgrsx.exe, vprot.exe and sometimes plugin-container.exe, but loads the page faster.
    Your instructions:
    "let your firewall ask again for permission to get full, unrestricted, access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process. "
    I'm not sure what you mean - should I see this happening (as in it asking permission from me to grant access)? Because I don't.
    I've attached a screenshot of Process explorer top cpu processes while the page is loading.

  • Do Video Game Install Discs Work?

    Before i start using Boot Camp and begin a Windows partion, i had a question.
    The main reason why i was going to use Boot Camp to run Windows was so that i could use games such as Call of Duty 4. Since there are not versions made for Mac, would they install on the Mac through Windows? I guess my main concern is that i know Mac software runs as MacDVD install discs, and Windows use CD-ROM discs. So i didnt know if the cd drive would load a game such as Call of Duty 4 since im using a Mac. My questions are:
    Will the CD-ROM video game install discs load onto Boot Camp?
    Will I be able to play Windows games that are installed through a CD work?

    Hi.
    Yes - you will be able to play all windows games. Boot Camp is not an emulator: After the windows installation you have a 100% PC.
    Btw.: If you have an iMac, you might consider getting the current driver from ATI: http://ati.amd.com/support/driver.html (choose the Apple Boot Camp driver from the menu)

  • Can't type anything if i'm in a video game

    Hello, since yesterday I have a really big issue, when I try to type something on skype while a video game is running in the background, it just doesnt work. There's a sort of huge latency that happens only on skype, others softwares such as firefox or steam aren't affected and work well.
    Skype works perfectly when no game is running, same when I'm running little games such as counter strike source or Minecraft. It starts bugging when I play games with huge graphics (heroes of the storm or marvel heroes).
    I really have no idea what to do about it, this problem is really weird because it happened for no reason (I didnt download anything), the games works extremly smoothly so there's no reason for skype to slow down (only 3,5go out of my 8go of ram is used and only 30% of the CPU is used when I play so it's not struggling). And i've tried everything, cleaning the hard disk, reinstal windows... But nothing works :/
    So basically, I can't type messages when I'm playing video games because skype decides to slow down for a really unknow reason... If any of you had the same trouble, could you tell me what's going on, please
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Hi there, im also having this problem, i tried running most of the games on my system, and some that are considered "high end" games, are giving me the exact same problem, but other games are running and im able to message fine, i also got some friends to send me messages, and i can recieve messages perfectly, also i noticed moving the actual window around on the screen or just closing down skype also lags. I have 16GB of ram and 4.4Ghz Octa-Core CPU, i checked my load while on the high end games and it there was more than enough hardware usage left like normal for skype to run, and skype wasnt taking any extra up than before. I also checked by bandwidth and i was having no problems with that as skype would lag even on offline games.
    I have tried re-installing under a different directory and still the same problem persists, this has only been a problem within the last 24hrs and i haven't installed any other programs that could affect this at the moment.
    *UPDATE* I tried downgrading to an older version of skype, 6.3.0.107. Problem Still persists

  • Upgraded Computer Routinely Crashes when playing Video games

    I had an "HP Pavilion HPE-150f Desktop PC" for a few years, but about a year and a half ago, I upgraded the graphics card and the power supply. My new power supply was a Corsair TX 650, and my new graphics card was an
    ATI Radeon HD6970 Sapphire. Everything went fine until about a month ago (so I had about a year of smooth sailing with this setup).
    Usually after 5-10 mins of playing any video game, my computer starts getting hic-hupc (visual and audio lag, as well as input lag), and crashes soon after.
    This problem tends to happen most when playing video games, but it also happens at random times when I am not doing anything demanding on my computer.
    I get short bits of lag (visual, and sound lag). It starts up at distanced intrevals, but slowly gets more frequent. Eventually, the computer either freezes, or I get a blue screen.
    I have cleaned up the dust in my computer numerous times. It didn't really help.
    I have updated drivers after doing a full system restore on my computer (along with updating other windows related things), that did not help either.
    I thought getting the drivers updated had solved my problem, but when I was playing a video game today I ran into the same issue. Which video game it is is not really a detail, since this happens with almost all games.
    I had originally thought this was related to CPU temperatures, but I installed a program that monitors that and everything was within the 40-50 degree range. I'm told this is normal from my friends who get higher temperatures and yet do not run into this problem.
    I'm on windows 7.
    I will provide more info if needed. This problem has been ongoing for a few months now.
    TL;DR:
    Computer randomly starts lagging-up/freezing. I sometimes get a blue screen and I sometimes don't (meaning I have to restart the machine myself).
    Problem happens more often when I am gaming, but it can also happen randomly at any given time.
    Thanks in advance to any who can help.
    In the next post I will give some info about my machine.

    Here is the info of what I have:
    1. Intel Core I7 (It also says: "860 @2.80GHz 2.80Hz" in the ControlPanel->System and Security -> System tab)
    2. ATI Radeon HD6970 Sapphire
    3. Win7 64bit
    4. Driver for Catalyst: Version 12.104.0.0 (for the GPU)
    5. Corsair TX 650
    6. 8.00 GB of RAM
    7. i) The computer did come with the OS (win7 64bit), but it wasn't updated. To update it, I went to the search bar in the START menu and typed something along the lines of "Windows update", which took me to a seperate window, where I could let the computer update itself.
       ii) The original product did not have the Power Supply it currently has, or The graphics card it currently has. I bought those two myself to modify the machine.
    The original product was a "HP Pavilion HPE-150f Desktop PC". I believe that is the name for it. The System tab in control panel simply says "HPE-150f"
    8. Monitor resolution 1920x1080, connected by DVI connector.
    Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.
    I also used a program called Speccy, which gives you info about your computer.
    About my BIOS, Speccy said:
    Brand:    American Megatrends Inc.
    Version: 5.15
    Date:     25/06/2010
    So I went to the following site and updated my BIOS:
    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?cc=ca&dlc=en&lc=en&os=4063&product=4120554&softw...
    It didn't help anything, I still get the exact same crashing.
    Lastly, here is an image of the blue screen I am getting:
    I also made a thread on the AMD support forums for my GPU's manufacturer, That thread can be found here:
    http://forums.amd.com/game/messageview.cfm?catid=443&threadid=167863&enterthread=y
    Thanks in advance to any who can help. I can provide more info if needed.

  • Is this macbook good for video games

    what is the best mac for video games?

    MacBook Pro has two graphics processors, the AMD comes in when the graphics load is high.
    The iMac has a much better graphics processor and can handle much more memory and faster cpu for better response.
    The Mac Pro has an even higher level graphics processor, memory, cpu, plus can take very large cinema displays and handles dual displays very well.
    Take you pick depending on just what you want in the way of gaming capability.  How much do you need, 3-D?  Go to the Mac Pro for that level.

  • When were the video game trade-in program terms and conditions changed?

    I ask because the T&C on this page( http://www.bestbuy.com/site/null/null/pcmcat257100050022.c?id=pcmcat257100050022#howitworks&h=488 ) now say that the trade-in program is limited to one copy of a particular title per person per year. It WAS three per title per system per person per year.
    But I know that some stores made up their own limits as allowed by corporate and already had the 1 per title per platform. Yet now it is listed as one copy of a title within a year. I guess corporate doesn't think that people may own multiple systems and have the same games across those systems.
    Not only that but the new(to me anyway) T&C say that people are limited to 50 games in a year. Honestly, some of us go through multiple games just in a single month. Not only that but some people may now be trying to purge their PS3/360/Wii collections in order to grab a PS4/Xbox One/Wii U and may easily go over that 50 title limit.
    One thing I want to know. Is the system set up to alert the cashier doing the trade-ins that a user has previously traded in their limit of a title or will something pop up to alert the cashier doing the trade-in transaction that there is a hard and fast limit of 50 per year now? Or are we required to keep a spreadsheet of everything we own and everything we've traded in prior and/or may trade in in the future?
    it just seems like corporate is desperately trying to kill off the gaming and game trade-in portions of the business as fast as they can. Between jacking up the Gamer's Club Unlocked to $60 a year and REQUIRING people to buy in for TWO years to now this change in limits to the trade-in portion of the program.
    For those who are like me and do trade-in games fairly often to Best Buy and may have not read it as of yet, here's the revised T&C(item 12 on the FAQ page, which looks like it was a hastily added item since #13 isn't even in the right location on the page):
    Best Buy T&C:
    Can I trade-in more than one item at a time? Are there any limits?For Video Games, you are limited to no more than one copy of a title within a year, or more than 50 games total in a year. If you have more you are considered a Volume Seller and the prices offered on the website, as well as any bonuses or promotions, may not apply. Contact trade-in customer service for a custom quote (1-888-602-6963).Persons or companies intending to trade-in six or more items of substantially similar products (like mobile phones, or laptops) are considered Volume Sellers and the prices offered on the website or in store, as well as any bonuses or promotions, may not apply. Contact trade-in customer service for a custom quote (1-888-602-6963). Do not bring your products to a Best Buy store as our stores are setup to only handle individual consumer transactions.

    Hello CheapestGamer,
    This change is new information to me as well.  While I am not aware of the date the change was established, you can expect to have your game limits based on a 365 day rolling calendar.  If you were to trade in 20 games by the 15th of this month, you would be able to trade in another 30 until January 15, 2015.  The same goes for individual title rule.
    While the system may recognize if an item has already been traded in prior to a current trade-in attempt, it is still possible that the transaction will go through.  Violating the trade-in restrictions, even if the system does not catch it at the time, can result in trade-in bans.
    I will try to find out if any trades done prior to the change are not currently counted toward your yearly trade limits, but unless anything different is said you should expect that current rules apply and if 27 trades were completed at the end of December,  then 23 are remaining until the end of this next December.
    Thank you for participating in Best Buy's trade in program.  I trust that the program can continue to help you keep your game library fresh as new games are released.

  • Are iMacs good for playing video games like Skyrim?

    I'm most likely to be getting a baseline iMac and I wanted to know if these computers are good for playing video games such as Skyrim before I get rid of my current PC. Also, are these games even compatable with a Mac. I've heard rumors that you can't play these kind of games on a Mac.

    SladeSS wrote:
    So, I can interchange between the Mac OS and Windows at any time I want or did I understand that wrong? Is it a one or the other kind of deal?
    Yes, please read the Boot Camp FAQ for additional information.  You will need to buy a license of Windows 7 and once your get the iMac run an App called Boot Camp Assistant and follow the on-screen instructions to install Windows. Once you have you completed you will have both OS X and Windows 7 installed. BTW there is a Boot Camp forum if you have more detailed questions, that is where the Boot Camp and Windows guys hang out.
    Note: Whenever you load MS Windows on your Mac it then becomes a  native Windows machine when running Windows. This means like any Windows box it is susceptible to ALL the other issues Windows users have to put up with including viruses and other malware. The good news is even if your Windows partition becomes totally diseased that in no way affects the OS X partition or OS X.

  • Download offline tracks or make the Music library more video game OST friendly

     Hello Spotify, I am a gamer, and have bought tons of different video game OSTs, and I have made playlists of 333 songs just out of music from these. And I can only listen to them on my phone, or the PC where the files are stored. This is a massive inconvenience, because I really really like these playlists, an I know a bunch of people who would love to listen to my collections. Please, add the functionality to let us make these playlists public, it isn't like we are trying to claim them or copyright them, especially since there is no profit in having a playlist, so why is this functionality non existent? Why is it that every place I go to upload these get on my case about copy right or etc, I am not getting any money out of it, I am not asking for payment in any shape or form, I just want to listen to my music, and be able to share it with friends, or all who wish to listen. We pay monthly for this service, so please be worth our money..

    Hi Oyakata. The issue here isn't wether or not you make a profit off the playlists, but the fact that:
    1) Spotify is making a profit off of these playlists. Either from free users who would listen to those playlists and bring in ad revenue, or people who pay for premium and then listen to those playlists.
    2) If the tracks aren't in Spotify's library, then they don't have the rights to stream the content, which them means they can't make money off of those tracks. If you own the music and listen to it, that's one thing, but if the music you own is streamed over Spotify's service, and then they make money off of it, that's a big no-no (it would still be an issue even if they didn't make any money because of rights to the content).
    The only solution to this issue is to suggest the content to Spotify and hopefully they can work out an agreement. For information on how to do that, check here. Cheers!

  • Slow Framerate video games on Bootcamp XP

    Lately I have been running some video games on the XP side of my Partitioned Hard Drive. I was playing one game when my Screen flickered then changed to a new colored resolution sort of thing. After the game crashed I reloaded the game and could not run the game at the quality I was running it at. Perhaps It is a Graphics card issue? None of my other games run well either. Help, Please?

    I had no problems running Win XP Pro with Boot camp beta. I played BF2 and COD4 online using only medium settings. I'm upgrading from Safari to Leopard as soon as I get a chance and I'm going to repeat everything again. I managed to keep 17 processes including the game and teamspeak.
    I used a Zboard, Logitech G5 mouse, Logitech 3D joystick. Only reason I had to ditch the XP partition was to free up more space for film editing. Otherwise everything ran smoothly with minor tweaks here and there for online game performance, but thats just personal taste. Battlefield 2 16 man, 32 man, and 64 man servers either in a helo or jet made no difference even comparing to my alienware laptop. The x1600 card blew away my nvidia geforce 6800 go 256Mb on graphics.
    The system I ran this with was a 20" 2.0 intel core duo, 2G RAM, x1600 Vid as mentioned above and PC peripherals. Got my Mac spring of '06. All gone off without a hitch. So i'd go with Win XP Pro. I want the new iMac with the nvidia for DX 10 for Crysis.

  • Loading something into a game.

    Hey everybody. Ive been trying to load something into my game so that when i reach, lets say 1000 points another powerup comes into the game.
    I tried doing the opposite of Unloading something into the game which's actionscript is
    onClipEvent{
         if(_root.char.hitTest(this)){
         _root.char.speed=10;
         unloadMovie(this)
    Saying that when the char hits this, its speed increases then the powerup goes away. so it worked fine but i wanted to do something that made the powerup come into the game. The actionscript i tried is.
    onClipEvent{
         if(_root.score<=1000){
         loadMovie(this)
    i didnt give it anything specific to do once it was loaded. but i tried that and it said that it didnt work. i guess load movies and unload movies are totally different. But if anybody could please help me, it would be much appreciated. Thanks =).

    ok.  so, if you have:
    onClipEvent(enterFrame){
         if(_root.score<=1000){
         loadMovie(this)
    it doesn't make sense to use loadMovie(this).
    you could use something like:
    onClipEvent(enterFrame){
         if(_root.score<=1000&&!_parent.loadStarted){
    _parent.loadStarted=true;
         this.loadMovie("somefileyouwantoload.xxx")
    but that's really poor coding.  it would far better to use a loop that would and, you could, terminate:
    yourMC.onEnterFrame=function(){
    if(_root.score<=1000){
    this.loadMovie("somefileyouwanttoload.xxx");
