No problems with either, and I had them with Mt. Lion.

This is a bit obscure, and even biased, if you will. As of right now, there really is no one Apple laptop that works best with Photoshop and Flash. The previous 17" Powerbook G4 would have been a worthy investment, but Apple just recently replaced that with the 17" MacBook Pro. Any PowerPC processor (right now) will probably run Photoshop and Flash more smoothly, and efficiently, than any of the new Macs (Intel based), only because no current Adobe software is Universal, in which case, will have to run under Rosetta. Now, Rosetta is relatively decent, and bearable, but almost requires one to max out their RAM (when buying an Intel based Mac). As of right now, you're best bet is probably the MacBook Pro, with a 2.16GHz processor, and 2GB of RAM. It will be costly, but almost necessary if you're constantly working with Photoshop/Flash. Some time (probably around spring of) next year, Adobe will release CS3, which will be Universal, in which case the MBP would maintain it's value, and the Mac community will once again reach maximum production availability. Basically, I suggest you go with the maxed out MBP, but lay low, and deal with Rosetta, because in about a year, it will all be very much worth it.

This has nothing to do with your pictures. As long as LR works, nothing happens. The CC app merely has lost an entry in the installer database. Would a reinstall fix it? Sure. Is it necessary? Not really (until the next version or update). So unless you have too much time to spend or something isn't working, I'm sure you can find more interesting things to do with your tiem. Otherwise use the cleaner tool and get to it:

This is a user to user Forum, so you are not really addressing Adobe here, even though some Adobe employees thankfully have been dropping by.

Concluding something does not work because you fail at using it is not necessarily always justified.
The Quick Selection Tool certainly has limitations, but your post seems to be more about venting than trouble-shooting – otherwise you might have posted an image where you failed to get an expected result.

Thank you for your interest. I use apple mail to access my two accounts -I guess they are 3rd party accounts. One is a gmail acount and the other is a bigpond account. I admit to a lack of a high level of literacy when it comes to the language around all of this. For example, I am aware that I have an iCloud email account as I managed to set it up, but don't really understand the purpose of it as the last thing I need is yet another email account to oversee.

Mac don't come with iWork installed unless you configure it while buying your Mac online.
However, iWork can be purchased at the App Store. You can buy the apps individualy (Pages, Numbers and Keynote) too.

It depends. If it's a CS6 suite you can apply for a platform change to Windows free of charge, but you terminate your Mac license.
CS5, you would pay an upgrade fee and be able to change the license.
CS4 and below... you have no options other than buying a Full Windows version of CS6.

Photoshop CC2014.2, Mac OS X: Bug with eyedropper and adjustment layer?

Hi,
I am constantly running into a weird behavior that I have a hard time not to classify as a bug.
Can someone please verify this and instruct me where to place a proper bug report?
How to repeat:
- Create a new document (RGB, white background)
- Use the brush and paint a desaturated colored area
- add a levels adjustment layer to make it lighter or add contrast
- go back to the paint layer
- set the eyedropper to only sample the active layer
- Use the eyedropper to sample the color
- Paint a new area
= The sampled color gets modified by the adjustment layer
- Turn off the adjustment layer
- redo sample and paint
= The adjustment layer will still affect the eyedropper tool
- Delete the adjustment layer
- redo sample and paint
= The adjustment layer will still affect the eyedropper tool even if it's removed!
- Restart photoshop and load the document
- redo sample and paint
= Now it works normally again.
There is one other way to get it back to normal and that is to reset the adjustment layer before deleting or turning it off.

Projects opening with Photoshop and Not Premiere?

When I get done with a file and try to go back to it it opens with Photoshop cs5 instead of Premiere Pro Cs5
Here are things I have tried to do to fix it
Right clicked it and tried to OPEN with Adobe Premeiere from the Programs menu Wouldn't work, Unclicked Always use Selected Program, But Still it didnt show up under the recommended programs...
Ive run Sypybot and Malware Programs No viruses or anything on it
tried System Restore It Didnt help Either
My Problem seems to be all of My Premiere pro Files are all associated with Photoshop it wasn't like this when I first installed it.
I went in and did a repair that didnt work either Ive been struggling with this problem for months
I then tried several Programs that was suppose to remove association type but it still has the Photoshop icon and still opens with photoshop
I don't want to run a clean install because It takes way to long so what can I do?

Save the file, and then simply double-click it. A dialog will appear asking if you want to add this information to the registry--click Yes if you do (which I assume is why you're asking). This will reassign the extension to the shell command to open a .prproj file to Premiere Pro CS5--nothing more.
Again, I accept no responsibility for this if it melts your hard drive, calls you names, and kicks you in the shin. Registry hackery is not for the faint-of-heart, but in terms of potential for mishap, this rates about a 1.2 on a scale of 10.
Thanks For the Info I Tried that before and It still didn't help But I finally figured it out with another program and It seemed to clear everything up
