Hello, i'm using same version of iphoto as you unless you have upgraded.  i am looking to do the same with printing my photo cards to sell at an art tour.  i have made photo cards by using an 8 1/2 by 11 glossy photo paper or matte photo paper.  printing each side separately.  then folding it either horizontally or vertically depending on how  i have designed the card...i'm looking to do a better job and am looking for it to look more professional.  is there special blank card paper to make it look more professional.  many thanks for your reply.

  • Is MacKeeper a good system to use?

Is the Mac Keeper a good system to use? I have had Panda in the past.
Does the new Safari browser provide adequate protection against viruses and malware?

    I totally concur with Niel.
MacKeeper is crapware. It promises the world and delivers nothing. The little it can do, can be done for free with OS X.
It is to be avoided at all costs.

  • One Apple ID that the whole family uses it, is ther a better way to use family sharing?

My wife and I share the same apple ID on all of our apple devices (Mac-running Yosemite, Iphone 4s, Ipad), and my sons no have their own ipods and I want them to use the ID as well, but I am having trouble because I am getting txts and other messages when my sons send message to their friends.
My sons are 9 & 6 so getting them and Apple Id is not appropriate at this time (or allowed).  Is there a way that I can set up a child account under our Apple ID?

    Hi Mdbarnharts,
Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.
It sounds like your family members are using the same Apple ID to share purchases, and now you're receiving messages sent and received by your kids.
You can set up and manage Apple IDs for your children through the Family Sharing feature.
You can find more information about Family Sharing and setting up an Apple ID for your kids at these resources:
Start or join a family group using Family Sharing - Apple Support

  • I am going oversea to Rome Italy in a few months.  If I take my iPad2 with me will I be able to use it there for skyping and Internet use?  Is there something special that I have to purchase or install to get it to work properly over there

I would like to know if my iPad2 will work in Rome Italy using the Internet or wifi and will I be able to Skype with it there?   Will I need to buy and/or install something on it together it to work?

All iPads are Wifi, so it will work fine when you have a wifi connection.  If you have a 3G iPad and it is AT&T, requiring a microsim, you can purchase prepaid sim cards from a carrier in Italy.  If you have a Verizon iPad 2, it uses CDMA, which is very unlikely supported in Italy, whereas AT&T is GSM, which is widely supported around the world.

  • Is that a good practice to use syncronize methods for application scope cls

Is that a good practice to use synchronize method in a application scope class, so I have a doubt, there a is class A, it has application scope and it contains a synchronized method add, so because of some network traffic or any unexpected exception client1 got stuck in the method, will that add method available for any other client...?

If it needs synchronization, then it probably doesn't belong in the application scope. Either keep it as is, or reconsider the scope, or make it static.

  • How to get patent of an application which uses opensource technology or platform.

    Hi MSDN,
First of all I want to accept that this question is not directly related to the subject line of this forum But since I am an MSDN admirer so I am posting this here.
actually I have created a webapp which uses WEBRTC technology and also some android technology concepts . What I want is to initiate Patent process for my web application. I heard that webRTC and android both are opensource technologies and I can not get
patent by using them (as per my findings ).
So here I need your expert advice for approaching to get my Web application Patent. If you people know about anything related to it or any case study or any such related or nearly related information about getting patent of an application which uses opensource
technology , please share with me . I am hopeful that I will definitely get some good piece of information from you guys which will help me so please reply.
    Thanks

    Hello,
First, you do not patent an "application", but an idea or a process. So, if there is an idea or a process which is inovative in your application, THAT is what you are going to patent.
The open source nature of some of the item used by your application has nothing to do with the patent application as your application is just ONE example of embodiment (literally put into a body, of physical form) of your invention.
Your application is also covered by COPYRIGHT. the copyright protects the SOURCE code, as it is written. If you are using existing source code in your application, THEY are also covered by copyright and the license associated with them might force you to
accept some conditions/setup some parameters to the license that you associate to your application. But this is separated from the patent issue.

Hello, I synchronized my iPhones with iTunes, having a new laptop, I had to do this step. But instead of helping it, I lost many applications. All my good applications disappeared. How do I get them back? What I have to do? I bought those app!!!
How is this possible? How can the iTunes eat what I bought and what for? To buy the applications again?! Geez!
Tell me the solution. It must exist one!

You can redownload you previously purchased apps for free as long as they are still available in the app store.  Be sure you are logged into the Apple ID in iTunes used to purchase them, then follow this guide: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519.

  • Problem with CORBA application deployed using Java Web Start 1_6_0.

Java Web Start fans and experts:
We have been using Java Web Start to deploy the client side of a CORBA-based application since the inception of Java Web Start ... including Java Web Start 1.0 right up through the present.
With Java Web Start 1_6_0, we see evidence that Web Start is "tinkering with" the IOR that CORBA uses to communicate. In all previous versions of Java Web Start, independent of the JRE which the application uses, the stringified IOR have been the same size regardless of whether the application is deployed locally or via Java Web Start. With Java Web Start 1_6_0, the stringified IOR is much longer than the "real" IOR (again, regardless of the JRE used by the application itself). To me this smells like a bug in Java Web Start 1_6_0. Has anyone else observed this behavior?
Here are some specifics .... I've run the same client application with various JREs both with and without Java Web Start as the deployment mechanism. The application was compiled and runs against servers that are running JDK 1_5_0_09.
Here is the summary of my results from a Linux box running various JREs, various versions of Java Web Start, and also running as a non-JWS deployed application. I've listed the length of the stringified IOR in each case.
    JRE 1.5.0 non-JWS client: stringified IOR length = 344
JRE 1.6.0 non-JWS client: stringified IOR length = 344 ... this, I think, excludes the JRE as the cause of these problems.
Java WS 1.5.0, JRE 1.5.0 JWS client: stringified IOR length = 344
Java WS 1.5.0, JRE 1.6.0 JWS client: stringified IOR length = 344
Java WS 1.6.0, JRE 1.6.0 JWS client: stringified IOR length = 1568
Java WS 1.6.0, JRE 1.5.0 JWS cleint: stringified IOR length = 1568
In all cases, the stringified IOR length is determined by the service receiving the message and is always running JRE 1_5_9_09 and is
always the same 344 characters in length UNLESS it was deployed
using Java Web Start 1_6_0, in which case it in nearly 5 times as big!
To me, it sure looks as if there is a problem with Java Web Start 1_6_0 to be adding so much to the stringified IOR. Note: it's hard to tell how different the underlying IOR is in the JWS 1_6_0 case because, unlike most other ORBs, the Sun ORB doesn't have a tool to extract the IOR into a human readable structure. However, I can think of no good reason why the identical application deployed using Java Web Start 1_6_0 should have a stringified IOR length that is different than that of the same application deployed in non-JWS form or should differ from the behavior seen in all previous releases of Java Web Start.
Any clues or suggestions? Has anyone else observed this behavior?
    Thanks,
    John

    Hi.
I got a different problem. My Corba application works in JRE 1.6, but doesn't works in JRE 1.5.X. I got an unexpected error and my console shows:
    getSubjectX500Principal NoSuchMethodError: java.lang NoSuchMethodError
    #### Java Web Start Error:

  • Open the good application, is it possible?

    Hi everybody,
I have a java class which can insert a BLOB into DB2 mainframe and a java class which can select a BLOB from DB2 mainframe. When I select my BLOB, I write it into a file.
I would like after write my file, open it with the good application, my BLOB(file) can be jpg, doc, xls, ...
Is it possible open the good application from my java application?
    Thanks

not particuarly elegant but you could use a switch on the substring'ed extension and Runtime.getRuntime().exec(appropriate application filepath)

  • How to know what reports are running by looking at SSReproting Services to see what reports are running and also any clue of which application is using the reporting services?

How to know what reports are running by looking at SSReproting Services to see what reports are running and also any clue of which application is using the reporting services?

To see what reports are running, take a look at the execution log views that are available in the database.  Which views that are available are dependent on your version of SSRS.
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms159110.aspx
To see which application is using SSRS is a little more difficult.  You can turn HTTP logging on, which will give you an idea of where connections are coming from, so you can see IP addresses.  You can also look at the execution log view to see
user accounts.  So, depending on your environment and use of service accounts, this could be easy, or difficult.
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb630443.aspx
If all else fails you can look for clues in the SSRS logs.  Good luck...

  • Enhancing standard BSP application by using WebDynpro components

    Hi all,
We have standard BSP application delivered by SAP; we need to enhance the functionality and some new views to meet our requirement. We have planned to develop new things in WebDynpro ABAP and attach those to BSP.
Is it good practice to use WebDynpro component instead customizing BSP application?
If any body has fair knowledge on BSP and WDA, please let me know.
    Regards,
    Rajesh

    hi
    good
    BSP->
It is a set of pages that represent a user interface (layout and page flow definition). The layout part of a page normally contains ABAP or JavaScript code which is inserted into the HTML structure. They can contain server-side scripting code in either JavaScript or ABAP. BSP applications use all the conventional ABAP technologies, such as Open SQL and internal tables, allowing developers to create Web pages quickly. This enables existing SAP logic, data structures, and interfaces to be directly used in Web applications.
    http://www.thespot4sap.com/Articles/SAP_WAS_BSP_Apps.asp
    WDA->
Web Dynpro for ABAP or Web Dynpro for ABAP (WD4A, WDA) is the SAP standard UI technology for developing Web applications in the ABAP environment. It consists of a runtime environment and a graphical development environment with special Web Dynpro tools that are integrated in the ABAP Workbench (SE80).
Web Dynpro offers the following advantages for application developers:
    ●      The use of declarative and graphical tools significantly reduces the implementation effort
    ●      Web Dynpro supports a structured design process
    ●      Strict separation between layout and business data
    ●      Reuse and better maintainability by using components
    ●      The layout and navigation is easily changed using the Web Dynpro tools
    ●      Stateful applications are supported – that is, if the page is changed and the required data remains intact so that you can access it at any time throughout the entire application context.
Note that stateless applications are not possible.
    ●      Automatic data transport using data binding
    ●      Automatic input check
    ●      Automatic operation of the Web Dynpro application using the keyboard
    ●      User interface accessibility is supported
    ●      Full integration in the reliable ABAP development environment
