Actually in our landscape there is a R/3 system in 4.6 C version and eventually this system will be upgrade to a ECC 6.0 version. My question... Is mandatory to make an upgrade from our integraton plataform (XI 3.0) to a PI 7.0 version? if yes why and if no why to...

Hi Hector,
this is just one of the main reasons for using an integration platform like XI/PI for building a SOA landscape. The systems are connected via release-independent interfaces, so any upgrade shouldnt disturbe running systems. So, if you only want to use new functionality at R/3 - no problem. As well: if you want to upgrade XI to PI - even no problem.

Vista requires AA8.1 at a minimum. I think that a few have gotten AA7 to work, but it is not supported by Adobe on VISTA. I know that is not good news, but it may be that you will be unsuccessful. At the very least, expect to have to print to file and open distiller to complete the conversion. I think that AcroTray is one of the major problems with the use on VISTA.
Hopefully someone might stop by that has successfully gotten over the registration problem you are having, and possibly gotten AA7 to work in some sense on VISTA, but do not be surprised if there are no takers. Good luck.

First check your machine capabilities ...
That it is suitable for Snow Leopard.   It needs to be a Mac computer with a Core 2 Duo Intel processor.   Double check by reading the specs.

If you can run Snow leopard and have sufficient memory installed you can download Mavericks.    But first recheck that your machine meets the required specs for Mavericks.
But, and here is the big but, If you have a number of PPC programs or features that rely on the Rosetta platform, be prepared to lose them.   I understand that none of the OS's above Snow Leopard can work with Rosetta.   That is Lion, Mountain Lion or Mavericks.

Your upgrade failed + replaced my phone = Faulty charger!

   Ever since my Droid Moto Razr phone was replaced with the Droid Moto Razr HD (after the Verizon update destroyed my Wi-Fi connectivity), the new charger that came with the Droid Moto Razr HD has been non-reliable in charging the phone. I got rid of the Droid Moto Razr and the accessories and have been using what you replaced it with...the Droid Moto Razr HD and it's accessories. I often have to prop up the phone to charge with the charger, or use the cable from a friend to charge the phone.
   I would hope that you can replace this and fix this issue, as I thought this phone change nightmare had already been put to rest !!!
Please advise.

   Thanks for your reply.
   Actually, I did try it with my wife's and sister's phones the other
day, however, that's before the black rubber came off the wire nearest
the plug, and exposed copper wire. When my toddler came over to be his
nosy self and wanted to touch the shiny copper, I realized that this is
a safety hazard, as well, so I tossed it ASAP. Now I need to charge it
in the car, and since I cannot leave my son alone in the house, I have
to drag him in and out to charge the phone, check it, and then bring it
back in when charged.
    I had the previous phone and the cable was fine, but after you guys
replaced the phone, the new cable was defective and could have caused
a catastrophe here.
   Everything was fine until you had to replace my phone after a mandatory
upgrade you pushed.
   Please help a long-term customer be able to charge his phone from
inside his home!

Facebook no longer works in Yosemite

I have had a multitude of problems with Facebook after upgrading to Yosemite:
1. Sometimes I have to login again and sometimes I do not, even with the keeped login in checked.
2. I cannot switch pages between Home and Personal.
3. Other functions cease to work until I exit and re-enter Safari.
4. Images don't load.
5. I am told I am not able to enter comments and to try again.
6. It locks up all functions unless I exit.
I seemed to notice this more when I did the mandatory upgrade to iPhoto and after I tried to publish photos to a Facebook Album. It eventually worked but has been balky ever since.

I don't believe Facebook treats the mobile versions of its apps in the same way as 3rd party apps linked to your account. In Settings when logged in to Facebook on your browser select Security from the left hand side, you should see the options for App Passwords and Trusted Browsers, check those settings.
You might consider removing Authorisation for your iPad from the Trusted Browsers list, removing and re-installing the App on your iPad again and see if it lets you set up properly after doing that.

Lack of Migration support for 6.0 & 10g users

Hi,
One of the 1st things we wanted to do with the beta as an existing customer is to validate migrating a project from our existing Production version (6.0) to 11g.
While the import appears to work, opening any imported diagram throws an XML parsing exception.
After raising an SR, it turns out that migrating from previous versions is unsupported until 11gR2.
This puts me in a tricky spot as one of the main business drivers to adopt 11g is product upgrade.
I am very surprised to see existing customers nt being catered for in the new version, as running multiple versions in Prod is not a realistic option for most.
Backwards compatability is therefore very important to the existing user base!
So, questions for Oracle:
1. Can you please reconsider the lack of migration support for R1?
2. if this feature cannot be working for R1, what is the expected release date (even if its just a quarter) for R2?
3. To save my time, is there a list of what other features are not for going to be available in the Beta / R1 release?
As a Beta tester my time is precious, and I need to know what I can expect to work, rather than report issues only to then find out that its not supported...

Hi Ian,
You are right in the sense that upgrade will be supported in BPM 11gR2. More specifically, the upgrade will support OBPM 10gR3 to BPM 11gR2. Customers in older versions of OBPM and ALBPM will need to upgrade to OBPM 10gR3 before attempting the upgrade to BPM 11gR2. To upgrade to OBPM 10gR3, there are a series of pointers in our documentation on how to do this. I can explicitly provide links if you are interested in this mandatory upgrade before moving to BPM 11g.
As per the reason for not being able to support upgrade in this first version of BPM 11g, it simply boils down to time to create the new unified BPM platform which in itself is a major undertake from an Engineering perspective. Once the foundation is complete (this is the objective for BPM 11gR1), we will start working on completing the delta to upgrade OBPM 10gR3 projects to BPM 11gR2 as best as possible. There is a document we have been sharing with customers with Best Practices for implementing OBPM 10gR3 projects with idea of an upgrade to BPM 11g. We do have significant knowledge on some pieces that we will be able to automate from a migration perspective and some others that will be hard to upgrade. If you are interested in this document, we can provide this to you.
If you have any other questions, please let me know. I would be more than happy to assist with migration questions with the most up to date knowledge I have on this front.

What is the excact hardware version # of your router? U can find that underneath the router itself, there's a sticker there & its just right below the Linksys Logo. If its version 5 or 6, u can go to this website: www.linksys.com/connect . Download & save Easylink Firmware Tool & then before u run that file after saving, disable first all your internet security like firewalls & anti- virus coz it will block the connection of this software from running properly. That EFL will automatically upgrade the firmware of your router.

New Task Bar Control for Yahoo! Music Engi

Thought those of you who use Yahoo! Music Engine would like to check out a free task
bar control for the player. I found this buried in the Yahoo Forums from early July.
I was trying to find a remote that wouldn't shut down everytime I clicked my mouse or

This is just an update on the Task Bar Control. Whenever I had shut down my Yahoo! Music Engine,
after installation of the Task Bar Control, two errors would show.
Today, Yahoo announced a new mandatory upgrade on the Yahoo Music Engine. The new upgrade
went smoothly and now shows no errors when I shut down the application.
Life is good again.

PS CS6 Won't open .prel (Premiere Elements) project files

Shouldn't I be able to move video files seamlessly back and forth between PS CS6 and Premiere Elements 11?

Thanks, Curt and Bill, I think I'm beginning to understand.
In the regular workflow of editing my video files in Premiere Elements I've been saving as a .prel file under File>save as.
I've exported a couple of things to YouTube just to figure out how but I haven't finished editing anything major so have not done the big, at the end, it's ready to be written to disc, share type of file.
I've been experimenting with manual camcorder settings, trying to get good lighting. If my skies aren't blown everything else is dark as mud. I tried adjusting the lighting in PreEl, but am not happy with the results.
Then I learned about Adobe's new mandatory upgrade, use it or lose it - policy at the same time I learned PS CS6 could edit video. I'm much more comfortable with Photoshop than Premiere, so I've upgraded... and now all the edits I've already done are useless... (without Bill's work around, for which I thank you, Bill !!!)
I guess I'm really stupid not to have known that already, Millennium, but for years Adobe has been talking about their 'creative suite' and how everything should work seamlessly from program to program.

Suppose I want to adjust lighting, color balance, etc., in Photoshop first and then export to Premiere Elements? Which file type should I save in from Photoshop to go to Pre E?
I'm guessing that Photoshop is going to have better color management and image adjustments while Pre El is going to have a more thorough video editing ability, right?

New Area Needed For Email Migration Questions and ...

Please may we have a new Forum area that is dedicated to the email migration. There are bound to be matters arising - I can think of one straight off - what happens to all those Disposable email addresses we set up in BTYahoo? Will they survive? Will they continue to be forwarded to the account under which they are created?

this is not a mandatory upgrade of email but a total change away from Yahoo with BT setting up their own bt email. there are many posts about it on the forum

Release 4.9 CAM/CAS/Agent Compatibility

Hi All,
I have a NAC platfom with CAM/CAS - 4.7.2 and Agents - Windows - 4.7.2.10 and MAC - 4.7.2.507.
I want to upgrade to NAC 4.9 on the CAM/CAS and but want to know if CAM/CAS 4.9 will be compatible with agents Win/MAC 4.7.2.10/4.7.2.507 pending when I upgrade the agents on the Client machines. For certain reasons we do not want to do the Agent upgrade yet.
I have gone through the NAC 4.9 CAM/CAS/Agent Compatibility Matrix in the NAC 4.9 release notes but I am still not clear on this.
Any answer will be highly appreciated.

Ok the CAM running 4.9 will support the NAC agent 4.7.2 no problem.
What will happen is that the cam will upgrade the agent but what you can do is download the agent from cisco.com
And upload it to the cam by going to Clean access > Clean Access agent distribution and upload the file and then also make sure to uncheck the option that says and current nac agent is a mandatory upgrade.

3000 N200 Bluetooth "unavaillable" under Windows XP SP3.

Yesterday, I ran Windows XP (I normally use Fedora 9 on my laptop) just to use a tool to make an upgrade to my cell phone. The supplied tool needs bluetooth and windows XP to run, so I was obliged. It was month since last boot of XP and bluetooth use.
SO I first upgraded XP to "Mandatory upgrades" and upgraded the virus checker. Took some time.
Then I started the phone app which said that bluetooth was unavailable. The icon shows red in the task bar. I checked all I could in windows and gave up.
Then I restarted the computer and tried to connect to the phone under Linux. Bluetooth was fine and working like a charm on first attempt. So, what should I check/install restart to make bluetooth run on this machine under XP ?

In Safe Mode, the brightness is also adjustable. Tried to run with USB-Flash Disk ubuntu - without installing any additional software or brightness is adjustable. Also, all the shortcuts work on Windows 7 pre-Starter. Only now under Windows XP brightness is not adjustable (plus some more keys). But the other work under Windows XP (volume for example). Также все горячие клавиши работают на предустановленной Windows 7 Starter. Только вот под Windows XP яркость не регулируется (плюс ещё некоторые клавиши). ECC EHP5 upgrade:is i mandatory to upgrade netweaver portal & BI systems

Currently we are having landscape of :
1.SAP ECC6.0 SP stack at 17
2.Netweaver Portal 7.0 SP stack at 17
3.Netweaver BI 7.0 SP stack at 12
Currently, viewing BI reports using Portal.
We are planning to upgrade our ECC 6.0 system only to EHP5
My questions are:
1. Is it mandatory to upgrade netweaver portal and BI systems also.
2. We are very less dependent on BI. So, can we continue with the same old BI system with ECC6.0 upgraded to EHP5?
Please shed some light on this.

SAP will not provide solman key. However it will provide a solution manager free for ERP software. The first system that should be installed is solman in the landscape. By making solman mandatory SAP wants to regulate the irregularities in the annual fees payment by the customers. It want their customers to habituate to this software, so it provided some of the usefull concepts in solman i.e central administration of all systems in the landscape, preparation of implementation projects using ASAP methodology, maintaining service level agreement reports, provides service desk option(ticketing tool), early watch alerts etc.
So upgrade to NW2004s it is mandatory that you have solman installed.
Please correct me if I am wrong.
