Is MGHY2 a genuine Ipad Air 2 64GB model No?

Other websites are selling iPad air 2 cheaper. They claim MCHY2 is a model number and MGKL2B/A. Apple support says those aren't UK model numbers and very helpfully don't know what then mean.
What is MGKL2B/A and MGHY2???

If I go to the Apple UK online store and add an iPad Air 2 64 gig space grey model then MGKL2B/A is the model number that ends up in my basket : http://store.apple.com/uk/buy-ipad/ipad-air-2/64gb-space-grey-wifi
e.g. (the model number is bottom right)
The iPad Air 2 cellular model (silver 64 gig) that is available on the Apple UK site is MH2M2B/A - MGCHY2B/A looks like it might be the model number for Malta (a search for that model returns a number of Maltese sites).

  • Executive Team / Customer Relations concerning the purchase of an iPad Air 2 64gb Silver...

Has anyone else out there had difficulty obtaining the iPad Air 2 64gb Silver from Verizon Wireless? They were running a promotion in December for $200 off but were out of stock on this model.
After a bit of arm twisting Verizon Wireless agreed to honor the discount once the model became available, but since then has all but ceased communicating with me. I have emailed, called and otherwise reached out the Verizon Wireless Executive Office numerous times and have reached pretty far up the corporate ladder in doing so. I finally received a telephone call late last week offering once again to resolve this matter. But since I was driving, and on my way out of town for the weekend it was agreed that the representative would email me the offer and follow up with me Monday or Tuesday of this week. She did, in fact, email me the offer once again - but still has not followed up with me via telephone so we can complete the purchase.
The telesales department has no knowlege of this offer, and the retail stores are not set up to accomodate such a discount.
Does anyone out there in the wide world of Verizon Wireless have any idea how to force this issue and get it wrapped up?

    Hey Keen,
Sorry for the disappointing experience, and you should have been given a definitive reason if this price match request was rejected by one of our stores. I’m not sure if these coupons can be combined or not, but it is correct that price match requests are not valid on free gift card offers.
I would like to see if there is any action I can take to resolve this for you, and am sending you a private message. To check your messages you should log into the forum, and then click on the letter icon in the upper right-hand corner of the page.

  • IPad Air 32GB Wifi model, won't turn on, recover, restore, with error 4005 after trying to use facetime, switched off. :( HELP!

bought my mom a new iPad Air 32GB WiFi model via eBay and got it yesterday. It worked all fine and I even updated it to the latest iOS version. It worked all fine for the next few hours until I tried to have a facetime call using my iPad Air. Somehow within few seconds after the call being initialized, my moms iPad got switched off. I tried almost all the solutions I found via Apple community, google and other sites. None of them worked. ( Restore, Recovery, DFU Mode, Pressing Home and ON/OFF switch etc ) Somehow I managed to connect the iPad to itunes and when i press the restore button, I get error 4005 after 5 - 10 mins appearing 'waiting for iPad' message. I am in Sri Lanka and I have no Apple Stores here, or authorized service providers. since this isn't a fault of the ebay seller, cannot return it too. Please help me!

    Hi Tom,
Thank you very much for your time and trying to help me on this issue. I really appreciate it.
I went through those steps more than few time since yesterday ( saw you had posted this solution on a similar issue by another user )
still no luck. Now I cannot exit from DFU mode, or either restore it due to 4005 error. ( since its a new iPad, i only had few apps installed. so not going to loose much data as well ). I also try to exit DFU mode by using few third party apps such as Wondershare Dr.Fone, Phone Rescue, ReiBoot, RecBoot. Only wondershare Dr.Fone app showed me a screen with a message saying the iOS device is 'not in normale mode, press home + off/on button to switch to normal mode, which never worked either.
Really appreciate your help but I am open for more solutions other than Restore, Recovery Mode, DFU mode or any method to overcome error 4005. I would also like to know are there any softwares to diagnose the iPad Air to detect whats wrong with it. so that I can be sure if it is a hardware failure or firmware issue.
    Thanks in advance,
    Nimasha

  • How do I transfer all my data from an iPad Air wifi 32 GB to a brand new iPad Air 2 64GB?

I received right now a brand new iPad Air2 wifi 64 GB. How do I transfer ALL MY DATA from another iPad Air wifi 32 GB ?

Back up your old one. I use and prefer iTunes, but back up all the data, etc.
Then unplug it. Plug your new one in and go through the setup steps. When you see the option to set up as new or restore from the backup you just made, choose that and your new iPad will be a near clone of the old one.

  • IPhone 6 16gb or 64gb? I have iPad air 2 64gb

PErsonally I rarely take photos or videos, im not a hardcore gamer, i listen music through spotify, and i store my videos on ipad and HDD.
should i go for the 16gb?

I can't provide an unbiased opinion on that.  I'm not one that would ever own an Android device for any reason.  I might use one to call 911 but thats about it   So maybe someone else could be more unbiased.
You iPhone and ipad will work well together though.  Compared to Android, I couldn't tell you.

  • Safari on iPad Air 2 flashes random pages from history

    iPad Air 2 64GB WiFi running 8.1.3
When I open Safari, a random page from my history (usually from days or weeks ago) flashes on the screen for 1/2 second and then shows the current webpage.
I've cleared History and Website Data in Settings>Safari. Still does it. Safari even flashes pages that should have been cleared In that process!
I then restored the iPad as a new device through iTunes. Still does it.
I've had the iPad since November. It never did this until January. Hopefully the next iOS update will take care of it. Very annoying.

Forgot to mention- this happens upon launching Safrari from either a "quit" state or "background" state.

  • IPad Air 2 not recognized by iTunes

    Hi guys.
I bought an iPad Air 2 64GB WiFi+Cellular the day before yesterday. So far, I haven't been able to get it to show up in iTunes. Neither on my laptop (Sony Vaio S, 2011) nor on my workstation (custom built, brand new). Both machines run Windows 7 Home 64 bit. iTunes was not installed on my workstation until yesterday, so it's the latest version. I also updated it on the laptop, and later uninstalled every bit of Apple software and did a clean re-install.
The iPad shows both under "Devices and Printers" and the "Device Manager" as "Apple Mobile Device USB Driver". When I connect it, I get the "Trust this Computer" message - every time. I hit "Trust", the prompt disappears, and nothing else happens. Next time I plug it in, the prompt reappears. Whatever I do, the device doesn't show in iTunes, the diagnostics say "No iPhone, iPod or iPad found". (Sorry for the screenshots all being in German, but you'll be able to understand them, I think ;-) )
I re-installed the drivers repeatedly. I "untrusted" all computers by resetting the security settings on the iPad. None of the official support threads seem to apply, because they all seem to be dealing with the device not being recognized by Windows itself, or a faulty drivers installation, none of which is (or seems to be) the case here. I restarted the tablet while it was connected to the PC. I tried every single USB port I was able to find. :-) This is my first Apple device (not counting a 2nd gen iPod nano, which connects fine, by the way) and it's not off to a good start, I'm afraid.
    Any ideas? Thanks.
    Jules

Usually, with a window's computer, all you need to do is uninstall iTunes, Apple Mobile device service, Apple Application support then restart your computer and reinstall iTunes and plug your device in and it updates the drivers and works.
But it sounds like you've done that.
You could try to poke around in your firewall or antivirus settings, see if that software is blocking the iPad. The only other thing I can think of is to try another cable. I don't think you've done that.
When you uninstall, how do you do it? I suggest that people go in through the control panel and uninstall there via the add/remove program interface.

  • IPad air 2 won't play videos

I bought an iPad air 2 64gb (which is my first iPad/tablet) and for some reason it doesn't play any videos in any app. It is not a bandwidth problem, as my laptop will play youtube videos without any issues on the same wifi network. I already already did a full system restore (because I was having some additional issues which are now fine), resetting all settings and restarting, but the video issue continues. On the youtube app for example, whenever I try to watch a video all I see is the buffering circle spinning around and nothing happens. On a couple of occasions it started playing the video with horrible quality for just a second or two, and back to infinitely buffering, or sometimes showing a "Playback Error". I can watch 720p videos perfectly on my laptop and even my smartphone, so again, this is not a bandwidth issue. I am using the latest iOS version.
Does someone else have this issue? I find it very strange/frustrating. I tried pretty much everything I can think of...

    Hi shambalough,
Thanks for the question. Based on what you stated, it seems like you have no sound from the iPad. I would recommend that you read this article, it may be able to help you isolate or resolve the issue.

    Hello Phonon,
I appreciate you joining us on the forums and getting involved in the conversation! I would be happy to try and clear this up for you.
While the Movers Coupon does exclude UMRP products and some specific brands, the iPad Air 2 64GB is not a UMRP product. The stores should have the appropriate resources to check this information if in question. However, in an effort to assist you in receiving this promotion, I have reached out to the leadership at the Champaign, IL (store 46) to provide them with the necessary information around your situation. I recommend making another visit to that store and speak with a manager if you experience any other issues using your Movers Coupon toward your purchase.
Please let me know if you have any further questions. Thank you for your interest in shopping with us!
    Have a great day,
    Hello:
I have the exact same issue with the South Hills store located at 5000 Alicia Drive, Bethel Park, PA  15201.  B&H photo is currently setting the iPad Air 2 64GB for $549.99.  I tried to price match to B&H and use my 10% off movers coupon, but was told that the coupon would not apply because iPads are UMRP products.  It appears from this thread that iPads are NOT UMRP products, and the coupon should apply.  Would you please clairfy?  I was transferred to three different people when I called the 800 number and ultimatley hung-up on, and calling the store wasnt' helpful either.
    Thanks.

    Hello eddiemetron,
I’m all for getting the best price possible for my purchases, and I’m constantly looking for ways to save where I can. Using coupons is just one of the many ways to do that, but I’m disappointed to hear we failed to properly explain why your request to use your Mover’s coupon was denied.  I’m sorry for any frustration you may have endured while trying to resolve this on your own.
While you are correct in mentioning JD-BBY’s previous post in that an iPad Air 2 is not a UMRP item, we’d be unable to apply your mover’s coupon towards its purchase if you are requesting a price match. Not only does our Price Match Guarantee exclude clearance items (whether it's listed as clearance with us or a competitor), but it also states coupons cannot be used in conjunction with a price match request. This could explain why our store associates were unable to honor your request.
If you have any further questions for me though, please feel free to let me know. I’ll be glad to help.
    Best wishes,

  • IPad Air 2 Charger

I just purchases an iPad Air 2 64GB.  I was surprised during unboxing that the charger it comes with is 10 watts when the iPad 4th generation and first iPad Air came with a 12 watt charger.  Does anyone know why Apple reverted to the weaker charger?  Why wouldn't one want to charge their device in a shorter amount of time?  I was dissapointed.

No one knows why they did it. Apple does what Apple does.

  • Processor or cpu noise? (iPad Air 2)

    Hi,
I recently bought an iPad Air 2 (64gb, wifi) and i'm really happy with it. Even with the pop noise and vibration sound.
But, i've recently noticed something that intrigue me. When i'm starting using the device as usual i can hear at the bottom, near the speakers, a low noise like if it was a very little cpu running or processor working. Also when i start apps or change from one to other can hear how the noise increases a bit and ends when the app stabilizes.
And if i run powerful apps like Maps or Hearthstone this noise is going constantly and it varies depending on the effort prompted in that moment.
Need to say that you have to be very close to the device, with your ear really near the speaker or where the processor is.
It's my first tablet and my first device from Apple since iPhone 3gs. My sister has a MacBook Pro and my father an iPad Air and i hadn't noticed a sound like that in anyone. I know that when you focus in a problem or issue you're bound to notice it until end of the world, but... i'm really intrigued and i need someone explain me if it is normal.
Repeating, you have to be very close to listen it and with sound turned down.
At last, sorry for my english. Sure that all of you noticed that i'm not good english speaker.
    Regards,
    Sergio Villa

Just fyi, went yesterday to apple store and had my iPad Air 2 replaced because costumer said that this noise seemed normal to her. After 2 more iPad in same place due to dead pixels in both iPads had last one Ok but had same processor or cpu fan noise. So i guess it is normal for iPads.
Today have a date with Genius to explain that and tomorrow i will post answer to that.
    Regards,

  • Ipad air 2 64 GB

i have ipad air 2 64Gb and since i brought it .. when i go to setting or play and close the screen or get into setting the screen  dont move or anything just go to the home button .. and i reset to fix , i do that every time .. iam on 8.1 btw .. plz i need help with that ... thanx

Your signature says iOS 8.1. An update was recently released to iOS 8.1.1. This may solve your problems. I suggest you update to iOS 8.1.1 then test your iPad again. If it still has problems make an appointment at an Apple Store to have your device examined by a technician. Or contact Apple Support.

  • IPad Air Playing Find My iPad Sound Quietly

I just brought an iPad air grey 64GB and I lost it. I know its in my room somewhere and i can hear the sound playing. but very quietly. aIt is still in the box an in its cellophane it came in. But i set it up. prolem is its playing so quiet and when im on one side of my room, the sound seems to be coming from the other side of the room. when i go to that side of the room, it seemslike the soud is now on the other side of the room. i'm never going to find my new ipad like this.
I'm not sure if its on low volume, or full volume but maybe the cellophane and the box are making it more quite when the sound passes through it.
Dos anyone know how to make the sound full volume if it isnt alrety? and does ayone know how i can find my ipad?
    Cheers,

I think you have been misunderstanding my question, or I didn't make it clear enouth .
Anyway - I'm not interrested in tranfering files over bluetooth between the two devices, so that I can share my network on Iphone and use it on my Ipad.
All I want is for the two devices to connect to eatch other through Bluetooth - But they seem not to be able to find eathc other.
on both devices, they just keep search for devices, without finding any.

  • Ipad air 2 8.1.2 not connecting to wi-fi; incorrect password

Bought this iPad on thanksgiving 2014. Worked great until today when it would not stay connected to my home wi-fi. Kept disconnecting every minute. Upon researching this online, I reset my Network Settings and now it won't connect to the network at all saying the password is incorrect. Of course it is the right password because every other device in the house is connected and online just fine. Any ideas Apple fans?

It is the latest iPad Air 2 64GB wifi only model from 2014.

  • IPad Air 2 won't connect to exchange emails

Hello, I've recently purchased an iPad Air 2 WiFi model. Everything transferred from my iCloud backup from my iPad mini except for 2 of my exchange email addresses I use for work. The emails work everywhere, in my iMac and iPhone 6. I've tried deleted the accounts and setup from scratch, and it looks like it sets up successfully but when I go to the mail app, it shows the inbox but nothing else comes in.
Is anyone else experiencing this issue?

    Hi Ya'll,
I finally worked out why we don't receive Webmail.
Webmail is restricted to a maximun of 10 partnerships with mobile appliances. Hence, just because you change iPads/iPhones etc., it does not automatically delete these on its server. So if you upgrade  from an iPhone 5s to a iPhone6 or an Air 1 to an Air 2, that does not automatically delete the old appliance.
So here is the message that I got from Webmail:
You have 10 phone partnerships out of the maximum allowed 10 partnerships. After you reach the maximum, you can't create additional partnerships until you delete existing ones from your account. To do so, sign in to Outlook Web App, click Options > Phone > Mobile Phones, and delete any unused partnerships.
If you follow these steps, it should all work just fine.
    thanks,
    Gunaroo
