Is MI WebConsole and NetWeaver Administrator- Mobile Administrator SAME ?

I am trying to access MI - WebConsole but could not make it.
I have SAP Web AS 7.0 with MI 2.5 installed with latest service packs. After all configuration (SAP MI 2.5 SP17 Standard install/config guide), I could not get SAP MI WebConsole. Getting 404 error.
After reading few documents I have an assumption/suspection that
MI WebConsole is for SAP Web AS 6.4 and
NetWeaver Administrator -> Mobile Administrator for SAP Web AS 7.0
to do the same functionality.
So the question is...
is MI WebConsole (http://<server:port>/me/WebConsole/login
will not work in SAP Web AS 7.0 as it has been replaced by NetWeaver Administrator -> Mobile Administration ?

If not, do we still need MI WebConsole inorder to make communication between R/3 (ABAP stack) and MI 2.5 Client(laptop)
Even http://<server>:50100/me is not working. Always getting 404 Error.
I have http and https configured successfully.
Please advice.
Here is my system landscape for the reference:
SAP MI 2.5 (middleware) -> installed in a separate server with ABAB+JAVA stack and SAP Web AS 7.0.
SAP ERP 2005 (backend) -> installed in a separate server with ABAB stack only and SAP Web AS 6.40
SAP MI 2.5 (client) -> installed in a laptop with Windows XP Pro.

for awhile when the Mobile NWA gets matured...
MI WebConsole is only an administration tool, the MI Sync
Servlet is the one responsible for data transfers from
your MI client to MW. In 7.0, the Mobile NWA will become
the primary tool instead of the MI WebConsole and java
sync servlet will also be substituted by the ABAP sync
service. you can easily configure you MI using templates.
your errors might be some configuration problems.
try tracing for exceptions in your J2EE visual admin.

I want to log in into the SAP NetWeaver Mobile Administrator in 7.1.
In the help of sap, it says:
You can access the SAP NetWeaver Mobile Administrator through the DOE. To do this, you must log on to the DOE and choose Data Orchestration Engine > Data Orchestration Admin and Monitoring Portal.
But there is no such link in my SAP screen.
What are the various ways to access SAP NetWeaver Mobile Administrator in 7.1?

you can also directly navigate to the mobile administrator using the web browser. The url is as follows:
http://host:port/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/sdoe_administration?sap-language=EN
Host and port you have to adjust to your settings. These are the same settings you are using during synchronization on a client device.

Problem in MI 7.0 Mobile Administrator

Hi,
I was configuring MI 7.0 in NW 7.0 SP09. But the Mobile Administrator application is not at all running. It is showing error message "Connection can not be recreated". I navigated to the Web Dynpro Content Administrator and found that all the applications under sap.com/tcmobileadmin~ui
referencing to sap.com/tcmobileadminea which having status RED. But sap.com/tcmobileadminea in Visual Administrator is running.
Other links in Mobile Administrator showing error "Can not start plug in" .
Can anyone suggest me what may be the problem?

Dear Subhayu,
This post is common to both of your related threads.
First of all, you have not answered my question of not having a server with latest patches. If it was a new server, you could have started off with NW 7.0 SR3 setup (which gives you SP 14 by default) and then apply the rest of the packages.
Find below my answers to your questions:
1. If I follow the template based configuration then the JCO-RFC provider name differs with the document.
A: Yes they might differ. Configuration, if done the manual way, does not need the use of template, but initially if chose, the template would have saved a lot of your time.
2. The document suggests that the JCO Destinations should be created using the MI Admin Service user. But that user is not allowd to create JCO Destination. It is having access problem.
A: Generally, I give the j2ee_admin (ABAP) role to the MI admin and the mobile super admin, additional admin roles similar to j2ee_admin (UME) to the MI admin, since generally, the MI admin is the j2ee admin too.
3. The document suggests to use MI Admin Service user in CIM Client Generation is SLD Supplier service in VA. But this user is not allowed to be used as SLD Service provider.
A: I have used the user j2ee_admin for the same in all my MI installations
4. The template based MI configuration can not register RFC destination. By default it takes the DDIC user for the it but DDIC does not have access to maintain the MEMGMT_J2EE_DEST table.
A: Use manual/template based, dont use both. As a note, the template configs will supersede the manual configs. You can use an admin user, who is having the ABAP roles SAP_MI_ADMIN and J2EE_ADMIN

below is the procedure as per document
Procedure
1. Start the deploy tool (see Getting Started [External]).
2. Create a new project and name it.
3. Switch to the Deployer tab page.
4. Choose Deploy → EAR → Load Module.
5. Navigate to the file sapjra.rar in the directory \usr\sap\<SID>\SYS\global\ra,
select it, and confirm with OK.
But when i press OK it is not able to proceed further.
what could be the reason ??

In BO 4.0 SP 9 when a administrator tries to schedule a report via CMC there is no error
But when a user schedules a report and the destination is FTP location -> Use default settings he gets following error

There is only one Job Server and the destinations are enabled in it
There is no Job server for Crystal Reports Job Server
Do i need to create it and how.

Please check if you have proper rights to schedule to FTP. You can create a new job server, whenever you schedule it, there are multiple job servers, it will handle based on the load. But it is not mandatory, depends on the load.

I am suddenly getting this message when I try to copy a file from my new Macbookpro to my Powerbook running 10.4.9.
"You may need to enter the name and password for an administrator on this computer to change the item named "file i am trying to transfer". stop continue
I hit continue and get the error message: "The item "that I am transferring" contains one or more items you do not have permission to read. Do you want to copy the items you are allowed to read?
I say continue and get the error: "The operation cannot be completed because you do not have sufficient priveleges for some of the items."
My network was working fine until today. I can copy fine to all other computers on my network. But not this one.
If I initiate a transfer from the Powerbook, everything works fine.
Ideas?

I experience the exact issue between a macbook pro and an iMac.
I can access the files locally on my macbook, copy them on usb-stick, etc.
but ... when I try to copy the files to my iMac ... it fails with the sequence of questions you mentioned.
However!
I can copy whatever I like from my macbook if I use my wifes account.
So...
Imho there is a problem when the SAME account is used on both systems.
In my case, I copied my account from the macbook to the (new) iMac.
Mac OS X seems to be confused when the same accounts are used.
Does this makes sense?

When the computer was first set up you created an account and assigned a password to it. That first account is your admin account.

Thanks. Where could I possibly look for a firewall rule. I knowingly did not creat any. My system has internet coming to a Modem which then is connected to a wireless router. I have computers connecting to the router through cable as well as wireless. One of these computers has been our mailserver using Mercury and Pegasus and that computer has a static IP address. The Mac Mini also has been assigned a different srtatic IP address. I have only set up user account, none of them an email account as I initially expect them to receive only internal mails. Is it necessary that I must set up an email id for each user while setting up the user account. My server id is server.local. So would the email id for local users be [email protected]?

This worked for me on a MacBook from late 2008
1. boot computer and hold the "apple" key and the "s" key.
2. wait for terminal show
3. release keys
4. type without the quotes: "/sbin/mount -uaw"
5. press enter
6. type without the quotes: "rm /var/db/.applesetupdone
7. press enter
8. type without the quotes: "reboot"
9. press enter
This will let you create a new admin account when you reboot your computer.

adobe forums, only to discover Adobe doesn't allow a primary admin to ever leave. This is rather silly as people leave workplaces, they don't stay for life. An answer in a different forum on this site said one must cancel their adobe account, then start a new one. Though... Adobe doesn't allow a person to cancel their adobe account. It all must be done via Adobe customer service, which has proved non existent. There is no email address to email a request, there is a chat option which claims 24/7 chat however this functionality doesn't seem to work on my new Lenovo computer, current IE explorer running Windows 8.
Adobe - you really need to sort this out. I have left the work place where I was the Team Administrator some months ago now and now I need to be removed from that workplace account completely. Currently, I still have full access to it, which is not good from a security point of view because if I were a disgruntled ex-employee I could play havoc with my workplaces subscription and access their confidential files stored in the cloud.
Looking through the Forum, there is a great deal of conversation on this exact point. I'd suggest you answer this one, then create a sticky so people don't keep creating new threads and then see about resolving the issue so that Primary Admins can change in future, and be removed when they leave the workplace.
