Is Muse robust enough to handle a 200-300 page site?

The majority of the 200-300 pages will be single image (think ad) pngs or jpgs - easy enough to move. Some will feature the included Muse
interactivity - linkage about as expexted for a site like this. Many of the pages will be updated often (monthly). My concern is more about the ability of
Muse to navigate quickly and smoothly. Any thoughts?

Is Windows 7 robust enough for hosting a RH Server 9?

Hi all. Can anyone comment as to whether or not a Windows 7 system would be robust enough to host customer-facing documentation (with var. access rules incorporated)? Or, is a Windows server worth the extra $.
We have about 220 customers who'll be making occasional access to the docs. (Hard to know how many would be concurrent at heaviest use.)

I have not tried this, but the System Requirements apparently support using Windows 7. I think the database used is the critical piece in terms of handling connections and "traffic". The default Access database is really for testing and configuration (although some have found it OK for low traffic). For production, a "real" DB is recommended (MS SQL, Oracle, etc.) That said, a test environment could be set up fairly easily so you could try it out.
Be sure to look at this doc carefully when configuring the DB and the "64 vs. 32-bitness" of the OS and DB combinations.

IMHO, because you are setting this up for customer-facing, I would go with a more robust environment.

MacBook Pro Enough to Handle Battlefield 2142?

This game is confirmed for the Mac and is coming on Tuesday. Is my MacBook Pro machine enough to handle the game?

Found a listing on the Apple product page. Looks like the graphics card in the MacBook Pro is the minimum requirement for running the game. Since my MBP is my only Intel machine, looks like it will do the job, but I fear not in the most spectacular looking way. I've been a console gamer my whole life, so coming to the computer side of things is a change for me.

Dual G4 - adding 200-300 Gb hard drive

I have the original IBM 115Gb hard drive in my dual G4 1.25 GHz MDD on one ATA bus, along with two Pioneer DVD-ROM writer/drives daisy-chained on the other ATA-bus.
Can I use a Serial ATA drive in my existing system without buying PCI cards etc?

Yes, there is. The ribbon cable is typically stuffed under the drive bay and the logicboard end of the cable is not connected but retained by a clip on the bottom edge of the board. The cable end is blue and plugs into the receptacle that is just up from the edge of the board where the cable is retained. (I recall it being labeled "ATA66" on the logicboard.)
The front drive bay uses a carriage similar to the rear bay - it holds two drives, is retained by one Phillips-head screw to the chassis and uses a release mechanism on the bottom to remove it from the chassis. I believe that Apple was even kind enough to include extra mounting screws that are on the carrier. Set the jumpers on the drive to Cable Select and connect it to the black end of the ribbon cable, making it Master on the bus.

I have a couple of Deskstars in various machines and they seem to be good drives. Should serve you well for general storage needs.

I'd keep trying the other way. You may have hit it when BC was doing an update or something. If it works one way it should work the other way. But sometimes BC can be kind of temperamental and you have to do a little dance or something to get it to work. But it generally comes around and fixes itself in short time.

Hi Jaap,
Are you sure about your FTP credentials (FTP folder and site URL) that you are using for the upload? Are you able to see the updated files in the remote directory of the FTP server, after you finish uploading the muse file, using an external FTP client like FileZilla?

However, this does work with Bounded Task-Flow without page fragments , view1.jspx contains one button, calling one method which throws an Exception,
view2.jspx is an Exception Handler, and in this case it redirects to the view2.jspx [error page]

Pretty much. However, you got the event part wrong, which is mostly my fault here. First, let put down some general JSF facts about event handling.
1. http://java.sun.com/javaee/5/docs/api/javax/faces/component/UIComponent.html#queueEvent(javax.faces.event.FacesEvent)
2. So, basically, queuing an event on a component means queuing it on its parent until you reach the UIViewRoot that will really actually queue it. That strategy allows iterating components to intercept event queued on their children to record the row index as well so that the data model can be synchronized correctly during the broadcast phase (see http://java.sun.com/javaee/5/docs/api/javax/faces/component/UIData.html#queueEvent(javax.faces.event.FacesEvent) and http://java.sun.com/javaee/5/docs/api/javax/faces/component/UIData.html#broadcast(javax.faces.event.FacesEvent))
3. Exceptions that aren't handled by the exception handler are thrown during broadcast or various process* methods.
So, the catch component must leverage these facts to intercept events queued on its children (by overriding queueEvent method) wrapping the original event in a custom on that flag the catch component itself as the source of the event. The result will be that the broadcast method of the catch component will be called to handle the event. The broadcast method must then unwrap the event (to get the original event), gets the original source, then call originalSource.broadcast(originalEvent) within a try-catch block.
Does it make any more sense put that way? Note that it's an obscure part of JSF so I cannot make it incredibly simple either.

MPLS Handling of Aggregated ADSL-connected sites

I'm familiar with serially-connected sites entering an MPLS core, where there is a physical connection associated with each site, and so the site is simply identifiable to the MPLS PE by virtue of a physical port. However, I'm trying to get my head round how to handle ADSL connections, where many sites' traffic is aggregated into one bearer. How does the MPLS network associate the right traffic with the right site under these conditions? Sorry if this is a bit of a "dumb newbie" question, but I've googled extensively, and just haven't got to the stage where I feel confident in my understanding.

Hi Jim,
When using DSL most architectures use PPPoA/PPPoE (you could just bridge at the dslam and use no PPP but that would result in a subinterface a VRF could be configured on).
PPP will create a virtual-access interface per PPP authentication (username).
When the virtual interface is being created the provider router (LNS) will ask a radius server if the user can be granted access. If yes, the radius can also give the router configuration information which can include IP address and VRF.
Ultimately the traffic is kept separate because point to point logical sessions can be built on top of a multi access network (PPPoE).

What is the event to handle before leaving the page?

I am using splitApp. I have a scenario where user can edit few fields in one of the "Detail" page. When user clicks some item in master page, before changing the detail page I want to show a popup to user if changes should be saved.
Is there an event where I get to know any detail page navigation? or some event to handle before leaving the page.

Hi Rashmi,
It depends on which element you are using.
Suppose you are using sap.ui.commons.TextField where you are editing your data(In Detail View) then change event is triggered whenever the text in the field has changed AND the focus leaves the TextField or the Enter key is pressed and you can use this event in your code according to your need.
Here you may set some global variable and check that value if it is set or not.

Core roles installed on one virtual server for roughly 200-300 mailboxes using Exchange 2010?

For a customer who is looking at keeping costs down, they are wondering whether setting up a virtualized Exchange 2010 server with all the core roles installed would be possible. So the mailbox, CAS and hub all on one virtual slice.
The customer has around 200-300 mailboxes.
I know that its hard to give a guess for sizing, but I was wondering if a 4 core, 16 GB RAM build on Server 2012 would be sufficient, with the storage obvioulsy being SAN. I know this is dependant upon mailbox size and usage, but I don't have those
numbers unfortunately. Would the 4/16 build be sufficient? Too much?

IMovie using 200-300% CPU when editing video. Why?

As the title says, I am experiencing iMovie using 200-300% of my Macbook Air's CPU. This occurs when I am editing the video, taking parts out and making sure everything look and sounds good.
Does anyone know of a way to stop iMovie from using this much CPU?

Muse puts all the CSS that's common across all the pages of your site in one .css file and all the CSS that's unique to a given page into a separate .css file for that page.
At this time Muse does not special case the single page site situation and there's no option to merge the two CSS files or inline the CSS into the .html file.
I am curious what your primary concern(s) is regarding having two .css files?
