Is my Apple ID messed up or hacked?

I preordered an album not too long ago that has since been made available. The charge never went through to my card but it says purchased in iTunes. I can't download it. And now I think it has been causing problems with my Apple ID. I can't download any other apps. The apps that I've purchased charged me but refuse to download. It just says "waiting". And when I go to download a new app it doesn't even ask for my password. It just keeps saying "waiting"

I have noticed that when I am on phone calls with certain people, my phone will emit a loud long beep. I am involved with protecting jobs through a union, and am concerned that the county I work for may have had one of their IT people hack into my phone, etc...

You will need to contact Support in your country to get the security questions reset (these are user-to-user forums) : Apple ID: Contacting Apple for help with Apple ID account security (if your account's password has been changed then they should also be able to reset that for you)
When they've been reset you can then use the steps on this page to change the rescue email address to an account that you have access to, for potential future use : Manage your Apple ID primary, rescue, alternate, and notification email addresses

Which weather widget? Or can Apple's weather widget be hacked?

The default weather widget has stop working since upgrading to Snow Leopard (because of some plonker's decision to change data providers). Any recommendations for a different weather widget? I'm looking for something as graphically nice as Apple's haven't been able to find one so far.

Depending on how you have your Apple ID set up, reset or security related emails may either be sent to your primary or your rescue email address. Apple TV messed up Macbook Pro, Keyboard volume controls won't work.

I can't get my Keyboard Volume controls to work on my macbook pro, Apple TV messed it up. This isn't an issue with disabling the remote control infrared receiver. When I want to turn my volume up or down, I have to go to system prefrences and change the volume that way. It's annoying and a big waste of time. Please help me before I throw this computer against the wall.

I've got an extremely similar problem. Spillage on the keyboard. Unknown, what it was.
To start with it was dead, no power up.
Then it dried out. There was still a bit of battery power left, and the mouse and track pad worked for a few minutes then it all froze.
So I shut the lid. I left it like that, because I couldnt switch it off.
Much later, opened it up again and all windows opened up, all info was correct,
I was advised to try wireless mouse and keyboard, but you have to get in there before it freezes again.
The battery was charging normally as well.
I made the decision to let the battery die completely and then switch it on again, but sure enough when I did this, it ignored any re-boot command and that's that. Dead as a do-do.
So, without being a computer whizz kid, I presume, it's off to the Apple store for a sizeable bill.
Unless someone else has a cunning plan ????????

The hacker did change my security question and delete my credit card out of my info.
Apple support team told me that they coundn't do anything if I cann't give them the answer of the question. How do I know?? The hacker set if for me!

You should have prepared the iPad for sale by removing it from Find My iPad and removing your account from it. The person you sold it to can not use it until you do.
I would not give my ID and password to a stranger so you should meet with the buyer and do what is needed, or give them their money back and get your iPad back.
Right now it is just a paperweight.

ICloud and Multiple Apple ID Mess

I seem to have made a mess of my iCloud and AppleID accounts. Here's the timeline:
Years ago when I got my first iphone (3G), and being a canadian customer,
1) I signed up for a US appleID with primary emailA so I can access the US iTunes store
2) I signed up for a Canadian appleID with a secondary emailB
I start using my US appleID as my primary account purchasing apps and eventually setting up an iCloud account when it came with my US AppleID
Recently, I decided to switch to my canadian appleID as my primary account. At that point, I didn't know you could change the country of the appleid account so what I did was this:
1) change my US AppleID email to a third emailC
2) change my Canadian AppleID email to my primary emailA
Start using my Canadian AppleID with the new primary emailA with my Apple devices.
I've since run into a few issues:
1) my icloud.com email was automatically reserved for my US appleID account. Is there anyway I can release that so i can register it with my Canadian AppleID?
2) Siri and find my friends, and other icloud related services are all screwy since I updated to iOS 6. Siri can't launch any of my apps (she can't find apps), thinks my home address is somewhere in the US (when I say navigate home), and I constantly have to log back into find my friends and game center when I launch the apps.
I think a bunch of iCloud services are still tied to my US appleID and because I am logged into my canadian appleiD account in itunes/appstore, things go screwy.
Can anyone advise on what I can do to fix all the broken iCloud services?
is there a way to get them tied to my Canadian AppleID.
Can I merge my US appleID account with my Canadian appleID?
Should I switch the emails back and then change the country of my US appleID?

Hmm... sounds like I should undo the email switchroo and revert back to my american appleID as my primary appleID account and then change the country for that account through official itunes/appleID processes.
then I'll have two canadian apple IDs. And unfortunately, I just put money into my original canadian apple ID that i'll no longer be using.. =(
This raises a few related questions:
1) Is there a way to move money between accounts? I assume i could ways just "gift" apps from one account to be owned by the other. Anything cleaner?
2) How tied is Siri to my iCloud account? I have a lot of siri issues since upgrading to 6.1. it can't find apps when I try to launch them, even default apps like clock or calendar. If siri is not tied to icloud at all, then maybe it's not as critical to have access to my icloud account. I don't use it for anything except the todo/reminders app.

Apple id mess (alias as id $ @mac/@me problem)

First of all I want to say that I have read almost everything about apple id, icloud, mobileme, etc. and that I know that I can not merge or delete accounts.
Second, just point out that maybe my English is not clear enough so be patient. Thanks in advance.
My situation right now is:
-Mobileme -> iCloud id. Let's say "[email protected]"
-iTunes Store. Let's say "[email protected]"
I would like to forget about my gmail account so I would like to change that apple id. Because I can not merge and I don't want to lose all my purchased items I think maybe it's possible to use a @me alias as primary email on the itunes account and then select it as apple id.
This alias was created on mobileme (I don't know if this is important). I don't want to mess things more so I want to check if this is possible before try anything. So can I use an alias as primary email and apple id for separate account??
And If this can be done, what I have to do later? I have never change my apple id so I would appreciate the steps to set up everything in my mac, ipad, itunes store, etc.
On the other hand, I detect another problem when I have tried to log in to this forum community: I found that my original username (aka.seim) was linked apparently to a @mac.com account.
It has been imposible to log in to the forum with that user name. After a lot of research I solved a problem with the primary email that was my itunes / gmail account. But after change the primary email to another I have never use on apple the problem didn't solve and the web ask me everytime I try to log in for a new username.
No problem, I have made a new one username for the forum (this one) with my icloud id, but my doubt is: due to the @mac account and my @me account uses the same data ("[email protected]" and "[email protected]") can this produce any conflict??
They have two different password but I'm not really sure because I don't remember if I transfer this @mac account to mobileme (and then to iCloud) or I just create a new mobileme account with the same data.
As I have told, I know I can delete or merge this account to solve my doubts and maybe there is no problem with having both active but I would like to make sure. Thanks.

The apps you downloaded using your old ID will forever remain tied to that ID and when you want to update them, they will ask for the Apple ID you first used to download them.
Try to see if you can remember what the password was or try to reset your password at www.iforgot/appleid.com
If your iPhone 4 is on iOS 7 and you activated it using your old Apple ID, you will still need to enter that old Apple ID to reactivate your iPhone (for example after a restore of the iOS). Therefore, I suggest you try to recover your old Apple ID even if you continue to only use the new one.

Is Apple Just Messing With Us or What??! (Can't change AppleID!)

This is seriously messed up! Not only can I not change the AppleID on an iPod Touch... I cannot even log in... never mind that, I cannot even VIEW messages on this forum any longer!! Not through my Firefox browser, anyway - viewing an old message from this forum in Google takes me to the create account page! There's not even an option to login if you already have an account! Its only possible to access this forum in Safar, even after I changed my UserAgent in FF to Safari/Mac! This is messed up! Anyway... the main problem:
1. I just want to change the AppleID on an iPod Touch (IOS 8.3). This is not an "insanely great" experience.... it's an "insanely bad" one! First off, every IOS8 guide on the net I've been able to find on the subject does not work! They talk about a DELETE button that does not exist! Ok... so its "sign out". Well there is no "sign out" only "sign in". But fine, i created an iCloud account. Except I can't access this account via iCloud on my web browser, says "ICloud Encountered An Error While Trying To Connect To Server". ...Rubbish! It simply won't log me in no matter what! Not even on Safari browser! (I know it's not an Apple-side server problem when another AppleID logs me into iCloud without issue!).
2. There are now TWO places to sign in on the iPod, "iCloud" and "iTunes" -- I tried signing in the new iCloud account in both menus, no go! (In the iTunes menu, it keeps showing the OLD AppleID email address!). The error I get is "Your AppleID Must Be A Full Email Address To Sign Up". ....Rubbish! It's a HOTMAIL email address, how much "fuller" can it get? This insane error points me to the AppleID website to fix the problem, but does not say how the heck you are supposed to fix it once in the site! Well, all I know then is I click "Manage AppleID" button, there is my Hotmail email address, all verified and green check-marked.
Yet the iPod won't accept the account!
I"m more of an Apple expert than anyone I know... are they serious??! Apple really expect regular customers to go through this and understand why its not working? I can't even come close to sorting out this problem!

There is no network problem - this is not a network problem thing. The problem accessing this forum may be restricted to Firefox... but it is still a very weird problem, the likes of which I have never seen. I don't know what is causing this behaviour, but I don't see how Firefox alone would cause the site to redirect to the create account page. Thus I was convinced Apple Discussions was restricting people from viewing solutions and participating here, if they did not use Safari!
Now as for the problem with the iPod... There were no restrictions set. It turns out, the reason I could not log in to the account via the iPod nor via iCloud (on the web), had to do with the account itself! Despite having changed the password to this account, despite the AppleID site telling me the email was verified and green-checked, the Apple ecosystem choked itself on this account! it was a Kafka-esque nightmare trying to use this account; whereby the AppleID site would tell it me it could not find the account (when I entered the name, etc), and then when I tried to create a new account using the information I entered to find the unfindable account, the site would tell me I could not do that because that account was already registered!!
If I did not know any better, I'd have to assume the entire AppleID system was programmed by grade school kids on their lunch break.
The solution to this hours-long nightmare came from simply creating a new account with a new email address. Suddenly, the iPod and everything accepted that information!
With Apple making their customers jump through hoops of fire like this, I'm now starting to understand why so many people are opting for Android devices!

Need info about security, normal Apple events, & indicators of being hacked

I've been trying to learn more about signs of hackage because of odd behavior by my MBP. From what I've read, the consensus seems to be that the problems people experience and fear are hack-symptoms are more likely due to other reasons.
Here's the long story (for the short story, jump to the last paragraph): I've had Apple's on-board Firewall enabled since day one in Stealth Mode and all Sharing settings have always been Off. I recently test-drove a comprehensive 3rd party Firewall also but the log reported no suspicious attempts (aside from the normal amount of people just trying to connect or to piggyback on my bandwidth every .20th of a second that it's active). As the sole authorized user and sole resident in my home, I didn't config the system with myself as a User separate from the Admin account.
But I am having a recurring series of events that seems hack-like -- can anybody help me find the cause and a devise a fix?
Sometimes when I am online I notice a decline in my bandwidth -- based on the quality of my experience, not on a running monitor) for no apparent reason. When this occurs, I have learned to try two things: First, I Speed Test my ISP (sometimes it runs poorly); second, I disconnect and run Disk Utility. If my ISP isn't to blame, my Disk Utility's Permission Repair always reports the following (but, normally, permission repair has either no results or they are different, not security-related):

Maybe I'm being paranoid but the combination of my online-experience declining and the security-related perm reports generally seem to occur after the barrage of connection attempts from a single DNS stop for a longish period of time, as if there's been success at entry. Until this pattern emerged, I didn't feel vulnerable so I haven't kept records of these times/DNS/repair logs. Another puzzle-piece is that it happens when I've been running my computer for several days using only sleep mode, not full shut down; running a browser continuously (both on- and off-line) for most of that time; and especially after been online for a long time without disconnect.
I'm 98% certain that my secure.logs in Console once contained readable data but one recent day, just after I'd rashly renamed my connection node ScrewYouHacker, I disconnected/repaired (with report of same security changes) only to discover they had mysteriously (or totally coincidentally) become empty -- and my main secure.log plus several of the 5 secure.log.X.gz files became unavailable to me, reporting I (the admin account) didn't have permission to read them. I cannot remember if this was the case before or not but I believe at least one of the files contained data I could read.
My Activity Monitor reports:

There's a lot in the Logs I do recognize but lots and lots I'm not familiar with: For example, "nobody" is not the name of any of my drives/accounts/or any Apple event known to me, so causes me concern. I can post more of the stuff that makes me uncomfortable (such as pages being written from external drives during times I was connected but away from my sleeping cpu or when my connection trying to reestablish when I manually disconnect and with no data-seeking sites/apps running on my end) if any of this seems the result of invasion but I'm hoping a simpler explanation will put my mind at rest.
I Clone my entire System quarterly, and did so before I noticed any of this happening, but it was not specially password-protected so is probably just as compromised (or not) as any other available recently-mounted partition on my external drives. I manually back-up only changed files daily so quite likely don't have any retrievable System logs from this period to check or compare against.
To sum my question up in a few words: Does the cycle of bandwidth decline followed by that security-related permissions change imply invasion by hacker? If so, how can I trace what files/apps/devices have been compromised (read or taken)? If not, what does it imply and is a fix crucial (as in, typical Apple self-repair or sign of failing HD drive)? BTW, I'm running a secure wireless Novotel connection card on my MBP with 2gigs RAM.

I don't have a wireless network or a router. I connect via a Novotel Wireless modem/card -- wireless because it enables me to connect to the Sprint/Nextel 3G/4G network on their towers but it is a stand-alone USB device on my end. Multiple conversations with their tech staff assured me that it is not penetrable, in that my "bubble-of-connectivity" cannot be piggybacked upon by others nearby, although no password is used, because there is no network in the traditional sense. When I connect online, it's like making a cell-phone call (which isn't to say it's not hackable just that it's a different set-up). This seems to be supported by the fact that the incoming connection attempts I see on Console trace back to DNS locations all over the world not in my own dense neighborhood. I have no network name and my identity does not show up on the AirPort list with all of my neighbors. The SprintSmartView connection software is completely dumb (at least on the standard interface) because it clears all records upon disconnect (it doesn't even keep a running tally of overall connection time, or in/out loads, only displaying that data while connected during a single-session).
I can't switch to a cable connection because, as noted above, I already employ a hard, direct connection to my modem. For me, "wireless" refers to the provider method not my personal network. I haven't used a network for any service (music, printing, web) during this past year.
I realize you didn't suggest this, Robert, but I just wanted to mention that I have no other connection options -- I've never had cable tv and no longer have a landline so switching from my current method to something else isn't feasible. LittleSnitch probably is a good investment; still, I wish there was a Freeware equivalent.
RE usbmuxd: USB Multiplex Daemon. This bit of software is in charge of talking to your iPhone or iPod Touch over USB and coordinating access to its services by other applications: I do have an iPod but it's not a Touch model; don't have an iPhone -- my Palm mobile is my only non-Apple device, but it has touchscreen technology so that might correlate.
A web search of my Disk Utility Permissions Repair report phrasing didn't uncover enough information for me to determine if the frequent ./private/var/log/secure.log fixes indicate either an invasion or some impending System doom I could at this point prevent.
Here's another set of data that I don't know how to interpret -- but, because I was not using my sleeping but web-connected computer at the time (lid open; display and HD in sleep mode via Energy Saver settings; display calm, not showing any waking/sleeping/waking), the writing of pages/images seems strange (again, I have no automated backup software running):

My MBP has no obvious problems with Sleep or Wake, as seems to be the most common complaints connected to much of this language. This type of cycle reported constantly from the whole 3hour block I was not using the CPU. Since my modem is a USB device, maybe that is keeping things cycling even though the display appears asleep (off, not screen saver mode) and hard disk is definitely asleep (per sound & temperature)? I should add to my previous disclosure that I have a Bluetooth Apple mouse, among other devices, and my BT settings have been on Discoverable, which didn't seem to make me vulnerable but I've since turned that off since all my devices are paired. I assumed for everything that was paired with my MBP, the device name would appear in my Allowable list...
Thanks BDAqua -- just saw your post. That puts my mind at rest. What else, if anything, should I be looking at to confirm integrity? Is Apple's Firewall enough or is a 3rd party package really a necessity?

Please HELPPP! Apple ID messed up

Please Help me...My husband decieded that he wanted to switch his Galaxy for my old Iphone 4s. So we did the switch online...I totally reset the phone to factory settings so he could get it all set up. Once he got his Icould and apple id all set up ALLLLL my other apple devices are messed up...I cant use imessage on my comper ipad phone..I dont know what we did...I even tried putting my old apple id in my old Ipone 4s but now on ALL my devices it is saying my apple id and password are incorrect???? PLEASEE SOMEONE HELPPPPPPP!!!!!!!!!!

Hi, I did sign out of icloud and when I tried to sign back in with the correct ID - it just keeps trying to can't open. Should I try restarting computer and try again?
