Is my BEFW11S4 V2 still good?

I have had the BEFW11S4 V2 wireless router for a few years. It has worked pretty well. Most days I don't have a problem, some days I reset it once maybe twice. However in the last week I have had a lot of problems connecting to the internet on all computers in my home. I checked with my neighbor who has the same isp and they have had no problems. I know nothing about this stuff. I just checked some info here and changed the channel, maybe that will help me. Is my router breaking? Or is it just too old today? Do I need to upgrade my firmware? Also if everything is set up perfectly, how often can you expect to have problems connecting to the internet? Never? Weekly? I would appreciate any help.

I would certainly try upgrading to the latest firmware and see if this helps out with the connecting issue. You can go to this link to upgrade the firmware,

Good Luck,

  • My motherboard died but the hardrive is still good. How can I get my old bookmarks and copy them to my new computer?

My old Gateway laptop died (about 2 years old)but the harddrive is still good. I was able to retrieve all my old info EXCEPT I can't figure how to get to my old bookmarks file so I can copy them into my new computer. I believe. I have tried several forums, but the instructions don't give me the results I need. I am running my old drive with a USB adapter so I can see all my files, but can't get to/find the bookmark file.

  • I lost my receipt for my iPod 5 and I cracked the screen, I checked online and it says my warranty is still good but do I need the receipt?

So I checked to see if the warranty is still good online and it is, but if I go to get it fixed will I still need a receipt?

No receipt is required since accidental damage is not covered by the warranty.
Apple will exchange your iPod for a refurbished one for $99 for 16 GB 5G and $149 for the other 5Gs. They do not fix yours.

  • Mac OS 9 still good for the year 2006?

Hi, I was just wondering if Mac OS 9 would be good OS to keep up with today`s computer demands...
I am buying the PowerBook Pismo but I dont think it will run very well on OS X...
does anyone know if Mac OS 9 is still good?

Hi, iBTO. Mac OS 9 still does everything it did in 2000-2001, just as well as it did then. All the software you might have wanted to run in OS 9 back then, you can run in OS 9 now. What you can't do in OS 9 is run software that's been written since then to run in OS X, or view web sites that require support for newer security features, newer multimedia browser plug-ins, or newer browser versions.
The Pismo, especially the 500MHz version, will run Panther (OS X 10.3.x) or Tiger (10.4.x) quite acceptably — much better than your iBook would — if it has at least 512MB of RAM and a big, fast hard drive installed. The original 4200 RPM 6,10, and 12GB hard drives that shipped in most Pismos are too small to be very practical for use with Panther or Tiger; the 6GB drive is really out of the question. The 20GB 4200 RPM drive that some later Pismos shipped with is the minimum adequate drive for Panther or Tiger use by anyone who expects to save any significant amount of digital music, video or photos; most OS X users will soon outgrow a 20GB drive. If the Pismo you're buying has a 6, 10 or 12 GB drive now, and you'd like to be able to use iTunes, iPhoto, iMovie or any combination thereof, get yourself a 5400 RPM 60GB or 80GB hard drive and at least one 512MB RAM module for it, and you'll probably be pretty happy running OS X on it for a year or two, for a comparatively small initial investment. Or for a really minimal investment, you can keep running your five-year-old software indefinitely on it, in OS 9.

  • How good is a powermac G5 1.8ghz Dual???  Still good?

    Hey all,
So my buddy gave me this computer...owed me some money. I have the new MacBook pro and have been using that.
    Here is the G5.
    1.8ghz dual.
    1.5gb ram
    500gb seagate and a 1tb seagate.
stock video card and a 19" samsung display
Overall, I updated it to 10.5.8, loaded my movies and videos on it and have been using it a lot. Honestly, for everyday use it seems as fast if not faster than my 2.66ghz macbook pro with 4gb ram.
The macbook does cover HD content well which I could not play my 1080P stuff on the G5.
How are these machines? Still good.
Is the dual processor better than two on one chip like intel? I remember when they came out they were comparing it to a 3.06ghz intel.
Just thought I would bring it up
It seems like it pulls pretty well especially for how old it is. I do know the programs will be out of date, but really just wondering your thought on ppc and everything.
    Thanks,
    ~Teal

After installing, Reboot holding down CMD+s, (+s), then when the DOS like prompt shows, type in...
    applejack AUTO
Then let it do all 5 of it's things.
The 5 things it does are...
    Correct any Disk problems.
    Repair Permissions.
    Clear out Cache Files.
    Repair/check several plist files.
Dump the VM files for a fresh start.
At least if it doesn't fix it, it'll eliminate a few questions.

  • Is IPNetSentry still good for a Mac in 2012?

Is IPNetSentry still good for a Mac in 2012?

Actually, iMovie/iDVD should create excellent DVDs! They're terrific programs -- and Final Cut Express is also excellent, if a bit hard to learn.
I've been seguing from using Premiere Elements on my PC to using it on my iMac, and I love it on Mac! Premiere Elements 9 runs very well on my computer running Snow Leopard.
I'd definitely recommend downloading the trial and giving it a test drive.

  • Is my old .Mac email still good?

I have an old .Mac and an old .me account. Are either of these still usable? If not, how do I transfer this to, is it iCloud? I guess I'm just confused over how to do this

Both addresses are still good and will remain good. They don't change when you switch to iCloud.
You have time to make the switch, so learn more about iCloud first.

  • HT201342 Is my @me account still good if I activate my iCloud account.

Is my @me account still good if I activate my iCloud account?

Yes, your @me address will continue to work whether or not you choose to use your @icloud address.  If fact, email sent to either address goes to the same inbox.

  • How do I determine whether a serial number is still good?

I have two serial numbers for Final Cut Studio, and one of them has been used. How do I determine which number is still good without installing the software?

You can't. The only way you can tell if a serial number is already used is if you try to launch FCP and another machine on the same network already has FCP open with the same SN.  If the other machine isn't on...or not on the network, then FCP will launch fine. This is how you can install one copy of FCP with one SN onto two machines...a tower and a laptop...but use only one at a time...per the license agreement.

  • I want to be able to sync things from my ipod to itunes.  I had albums get corrupted in itunes but still good on my ipod. Now I want to add to my iphone.  all from CDs, none from itunes.

I want to be able to sync things from my ipod to itunes.  I had albums get corrupted in itunes but still good on my ipod. Now I want to add to my iphone.  all from CDs, none from itunes.

The sync process with iTunes is only one way, which is from iTunes to the iPod.  You'll need another way of copy content from your iPod back to your PC.
See this older post from another forum member Zevoneer covering the different methods and software available to assist you with the task of copying content from your iPod back to your PC and into iTunes.

  • Delivery completed indicator set still goods receipt can be done

    Dear SAPians,
I have created a P.O of say 100 quantity against which i made a goods receipt of 50 quantity.
After this i have set the delivery complited indicator in P.O but still i can make goods receipt.
how do i stop these the GRNs
    Regards
    Sujit

    Dear Sujit,
Just as what Kedar said, Delivery Complete is just an "indicator". It is used for MRP planning purposes and you can still perform receiving even with this indicator checked.
To block receiving there are 3 ways to do it, i would recommend no.1.
    1) Change the quantity according to receipt quantity.
    2) Set the lock button for the particular line item, which is proposed by many in this forum. However i think it is not the right solution because, you will not be able to do Invoice Verification(MIRO) after setting the lock button! It also doesnt look nice.
    3) You can use Final Delivery field (set it to today so no further receiving can be done). But you also need to configure system message M7163 to Error for this to work. SAP default only sets this to Warning, where you can still proceed.
    Hope this helps.

  • Design Recommendations 1941 and 2921 still good?

Hi All,  I've been asked to make some design recommendations.  The 1941 and 2921 would be a good fit for this customer.  Anybody know if there are plans for these routers to go EOL anytime soon?
    Thanks in advance

I'm installing many 19/29xx series routers and haven't heard anything from my rep about EOL. Even if it goes EOL you still have support for many years after that and a solid piece of equipment.

  • Old purchased apps still good on new itouch?

Hi, i am thinking about getting a new 32GB 2G itouch because my 16Gb 2G itouch is filling up fast. If u get a new itouch will my old purchased apps still sync and work fine on my new itouch? Will i have to repurchase them?

No, they will be good for the new one as well. I have a G1 iPod and recently had a G2 on test: the apps went straight on.

  • 1.67 G4, Still good for today?

I am quite new to macs, (well earlier this year I got an intel imac, but the last time i had a mac was in the system 7 days).
I am very happy with the performance of the intel chips (hi def video editing is very fast and smooth), A friend of mine has a dual processor G5 pro and his performance for daily usage is just fine and snappy.
I am looking into getting a G4 powerbook 1.67Ghz with 2GB ram, superdrive 128MB 9700 ATI card etc etc. The prices are good, the computers look nice and I have seen one with a year left on the applecare. This is kinda for me and also for my girlfriend who I am trying to convert (she loves making home DVD's for her friends, she has a Windows Vista based laptop and we have been having so much trouble completing projects on it, ie, having to do the actual DVD creation on my imac using iDVD). (no hi-def stuff, just putting videos together using photos and a sony T7 digicam)
I want to know how well it'll stand up for what I want to use it for, the GPU is adequate I think, about the same as a 9600 on a desktop. But these old G4's, do they still cut it? I don't want a lot of muscle, the most intensive stuff she does is that video editing, the rest is just photos, internet and email. But I just want to be sure that it won't be slow or laggy (need to make her a convert as she is wary of switching to a new OS).
Also, I want to have the OS setup in Japanese OS. when I setup my imac, i had the choice of any language, so assume that if I buy a US used model, I can have it in Japanese also. Keyboard doesn't matter, just the language of the OS. Am I correct that I can buy a US mac and have it in any language?
Oh, and the Mac I am looking at is around $800.
    Thx.

You cannot renew Applecare beyond 3 years, possibly you can find some other service program which covers repairs when Applecare expires. The only time I've heard of Apple providing a new computer under warranty is when they can't repair a significant problem after a number of tries.
I own the next to the last model of PB (before Hi-rez screen and dual layer drive) and it has lots of juice and horsepower to go. You can see the specs below. I do audio and video editing, amongst other things, and have no concerns with it's ability to handle them. It's not a dual processor G5, but it's not a slouch either.
For buying a used Powerbook, I would want to run the Apple hardware test, or one of the TechTool programs, to ensure a clean bill of health, before buying it. The Apple hadware test is on the first OS X disc that comes with the machine (if the system you're looking at doesn't have any discs with it, Apple will sell you a new set for around $50). Since it has Applecare, you can download TechTool Deluxe from Apple for no charge.
And yes, you can choose the language.

  • Refurbished iPods, still good?

So if I buy a refurbished iPod mini, would it still be as good as a brand new one would be?
    iPod mini   Windows XP

I don't see why not. They have brand new cases and serial numbers and everything... and they come with the same warranty the new iPods come with, just in case. You can also purchase Apple Care for it (which I do recommend). I bought a refurbished iPod Color Display, and I've never had a problem with it, other than the fact that it (but this goes for most- almost all- iPods) has problems working with a Toshiba laptop. Which, of course, is the laptop that I own (wasn't my choice). Go figure. But, to answer your question, yes, the refurbished iPods ought to be just as good as the new ones.
