Is my iPad locked

Not sure if I'm in right bit but I got a cellular mini iPad in late December last year from apple store and was told by sale man that it was factory unlocked and would remain unlocked and take any nano sim that I wanted to se and I could change service provider as often as I wanted. I got an O2 nano data sim but have never been able to get it to work although it is showing on my iPad but I was going to change to giffgaff which actually give a better deal but I just got an iPhone 5c from eBay (someone's unwanted upgrade) and was checking IMEI number and thought I would also check iPad both are showing as locked (the phone as said was upgrade the person selling said from care phone warehouse and fully unlocked). Can anyone advise on this I have not tried another sim in my iPad as yet as do not want to mess it up.

I am having an issue where whenever I am at the document list and do edit, to copy or delete a document the iPad locks up. Happens for both pages and numbers. Also happens on my iPhone, but only once in a while. Help.

You can turn Find My iPad 'off' by going to http://icloud.com and logging into your account, select the iPad from the device list in the 'Find My iPhone' section on that site, and 'remove from account'

Have you tried a reset ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider if it appears), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

‘iPad is disabled’ fix without resetting using iTunes
Today I met my match with an iPad that had a passcode entered too many times, resulting in it displaying the message ‘iPad is disabled – Connect to iTunes’. This was a student iPad and since they use Notability for most of their work there was a chance that her files were not all backed up to the cloud. I really wanted to just re-activate the iPad instead of totally resetting it back to our default image.
I reached out to my PLN on Twitter and had some help from a few people through retweets and a couple of clarification tweets. I love that so many are willing to help out so quickly. Through this I also learned that I look like Lt. Riker from Star Trek (thanks @FillineMachine).
Through some trial and error (and a little sheer luck), I was able to reactivate the iPad without loosing any data. Note, this will only work on the computer it last synced with. Here’s how:
1. Configurator is useless in reactivating a locked iPad. You will only be able to completely reformat the iPad using Configurator. If that’s ok with you, go for it – otherwise don’t waste your time trying to figure it out.
2. Open iTunes with the iPad disconnected.
3. Connect the iPad to the computer and wait for it to show up in the devices section in iTunes.
4. Click on the iPad name when it appears and you will be given the option to restore a backup or setup as a new iPad (since it is locked).
5. Click ‘Setup as new iPad’ and then click restore.
6. The iPad will start backing up before it does the full restore and sync. CANCEL THE BACKUP IMMEDIATELY. You do this by clicking the small x in the status window in iTunes.
7. When the backup cancels, it immediately starts syncing – cancel this as well using the same small x in the iTunes status window.
8. The first stage in the restore process unlocks the iPad, you are basically just cancelling out the restore process as soon as it reactivates the iPad.
If done correctly, you will experience no data loss and the result will be a reactivated iPad. I have now tried this with about 5 iPads that were locked identically by students and each time it worked like a charm.

I see discussion on all the safari issues with the new software, but my ipad locks up even when using the email function. For instance I clicked on an email address sent to me in an email and the device locks up.
Is there a way to restore the old OS version (that ran so flawlessly).

If you restored the iPad to factory settings and the camera still locks up, you may have a hardware problem and it may be time to get Apple involved.
If it was just Skyoe, I would suggest deleting the app and reinstalling, but you can't delete FaceTime.
Can you use the camera otherwise - meaning to take photos and videos - front and back facing both work?

Ipad locks while trying to delete aps

I have experienced this problem since the ios 8 update. The most recent update (8.1.2) did not correct the issue.
When I try to delete an app I press and hold until the x appears and all the apps start to wiggle, when I press on the app I wish to delete the ipad locks up, the aps keep wiggling but pressing on the x has no effect. about a third of the wiggling apps blink on and off of the screen and no other functions, buttons or swipes will work while this is happening. I have to reboot the ipad to get it working normally again. No issues otherwise, It is a 3rd generation model A1403, 16gb with cellular.

It sounds like there an issue deleting apps from your iPad which causes it to stop responding and need to be reset. If you haven’t already, try restoring your iPad as described in the article linked below.
