Is my Iphone 4's Battery Normal ?
I Bought a Used iPhone 4 Yesterday. I charged it to 100% by wall charger, and I used it randomly for about 1 hours 31 Minutes ( as shown in stats of my phone ) and kept it on standby for 2 hours 30 mins, and the battery went down to 79%. I did a 10 minutes video call on skype and battery drained 8% ( from 87% to 79 % ) I mean it fell too fast , i am a new apple user, i previously used Nokia x6, which had far better battery life of about 3 days normal use. So if here is any iPhone 4 User, Please guide me if my phone's battery is fine or not.
My settings are:
Brightness 50%
notifications off
Location services off
Push data Off
bluetooth Off
3G Data Off
Ipod EQ Off
No background applications running
Normal Use of texting and calling.

There are too many variables to judge. The battery life using 3G for data or voice is 7 hours. In 1 1/2 hours it should be expected to use 21% of the battery (1.5/7 x 100), so 79 % is exactly where it should be if you were using data most of that time. The life will be shorter if you have a weak signal; the phone must increase its output power (and thus battery drain) if you have less than 5 bars.

Anyone can help me?I suggest you restore the phone immediately. Especially if the area just above the sim card slot gets warm. This happened to me. I ignored it for a while and now I am sufferring from burned out Baseband chip. This happens when the settings get stagnated after an update. Backup the iPhone before you start. And unless you have really pressing data you want back, I recoomend you start a fresh without restoring a backup.
To restore the iPhone, connect to iTunes and click restore. This will wipe out everything on the iPhone. Everything. -
only half of the body just below the camera and steel side of camera side is getting heated up just after 10 , 15 mins of usage i my iphone 4 is it normal...as earlier the body was not heating up even after 2 hours....the problem started after updating to 6.1.2

My 1 year old -- ha! one month out of warranty -- iPhone 4 has been having a nearly identical problem over the past few days.
It started by dying completely so I had the battery replaced, thinking it was simply battery issue.
It then worked again for a moment but started doing exactly what you describe, going through a reset cycle (longer than 30 seconds but who's counting). And it felt quite warm.
Did hard reset, plugged into wall charger and MBP USB but the new battery wouldn't even get a full charge (a whopping 92% after nearly two days). It would even lose battery when plugged in if I opened an app. And all the while plugged in, if I left the phone on, it would cycle through these resets. So I turned it off to try to charge it.
Now suddenly, it's dead again. Totally black, and hard reset does nothing. Up until two days ago there was nothing wrong whatsoever with this phone! And I hadn't even installed a new app that could be the root of the issue. No idea whatsoever what caused this.
Any help would be much appreciated!! -
Iphone 4's battery runs out in 2 hours after connecting to Exchange 2003

Ever since I connected my iphone to Exchange 2003, the battery runs out 3-4 times as fast. It looks like it's constantly polling the server for new mai and also the phones appears to run hotter than before. Is there any parameter I can tweak to fix this?
I'm running IOS 5 on iPhone 4.

I downloaded lAssistant (with an L not an i) and noticed that before i deleted my hotmail account, the activity of the CPU while my iphone 4 was not doing anything, was 35-40% while AFTER i deleted my hotmail account the activity dropped to 4% and the battery returned tom normal drain.
My Iphone 4 returned to normal operation after
1. removing my Hotmail account from settings->mail,contacts->accounts->(choose hotmail account) Delete Account,
2. turning off my iphone 4
3. turning on my iphone 4
4. Re-adding my Hotmail account
The battery has STOPPED draining and getting hot. -
Hello apple community, I am Christian i am just wandering if my iPhone's embedded battery would bubble(get fat thingy) if I left it charging over nightly because last night I accidentally left it charging from 10 pm to 3 am .. A few battery tips...
You can start using it out of the box, or charge it, whatever you like, doesn't matter either way.
You cannot overcharge the device, thus you can leave it plugged in as long as you like.
You can and should charge as often and as long as possible... deep discharges are hard on lithium batteries. Normal mobile use will usually result in the one charge cycle/month that Apple recommends although it's OK to fully discharge and then recharge to 100% every once in a while to recalibrate the battery meter.

I bought my new Iphone 5 from the store and when I got home and opened the box I couldn't turn on the device. I plugged it in the electric and it seemed the battery is totally empty. I fully charged it and the Iphone worked well. However, I feel like the battery is not good, is there any relation?
Is it normal to get new iphone with empty battery??

Battery life seems short

Try turning iPhone off and then on again.
Connect iPhone to iTunes and restore iPhone.
If the screen shows a low-battery image, the battery is low on power and needs to charge for up to ten minutes before you can use it.
When charging iPhone, make sure to leave it charging until it is fully charged. You'll know the battery is fully charged when the battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen looks like this .
Note: When charging using a computer, don't connect iPhone to a keyboard. Also, the computer must be turned on and not in sleep or standby mode. If iPhone is connected to a computer that's not turned on or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPhone battery may drain.

IPhone 4s loses battery while charging?
In the past week or week and a half, I noticed that my iPhone acutally loses battery while charging. I use my phone as an alarm clock so I plug it in overnight to be fully charged by the morning. I noticed it when I plugged it in one night at about 80%, I woke up and it was 20-30%. This has happened consistently every night since it started, not always to 20% but around 60% or slightly higher. I've tried charging to outlet I used, turning off my wifi overnight, taking the case off at night and closing all of my apps so there is nothing running in the background. I even turn my brightness all the way down. I have no idea what's wrong and nothing is able to fix it. My phone isn't new, it's about three years old (I got it a few months after the 4S came out originally). Is the phone just getting old and needs to be replaced or does it need to be sent back to Apple to be looked at or have the battery replaced?
Charging the battery means doing work on the battery and does produce heat. How much heat is the quesion. Is your iPhone to hot to handle or is it just getting warm? Warm is normal, and if you feel the charger it will also be warm while charging.
If the iPhone is too hot to handle, that is not normal and should be checked out by an Apple tech at an Apple store genius bar. -
after upgrading to ios 5.1 on my iphone 3gs, the battery percentage dosent work well, it dosent move. how can i fix the problem?
Have you tried doing turning the battery level display off and then General -> "Reset all settings"? You won't loose any data and that should do the trick.

On my iPhone 5, the battery symbol and percentage won't change, even while charging or during usage throughout the day. The battery is however charging and draining properly from what I can tell.
Has anyone had this issue or know of a fix?

Restart iPhone: Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the home button together until the apple logo appears (ignore the ON/OFF slider) then let both buttons go and wait for phone to restart (no data will be lost).

I have problem with my iphone 4s my battery is not keeping charge. how can I get help with this one? it is less than a year that I purchased this cell.
I would like to know the answer to that one. I realized this was happening just after upgradeing my iOS to 6. Then when I looked up my purchase date, I was about 5 days past my one year warranty. So I'm dead in the water. Apple will replace the battery, but it will be about $80+. I took it to the Apple store, and they checked a bunch of stuff, but said that it seemed ok. I'm debating getting a battery for a more reasonable price off of ebay. But if it's the iOS thats draining the battery, then I'm not going to be able to help it. I wish I knew a better way to tell if its the battery, the phone, or the iOS.

Are there apps on your phone right now?
I think one of your apps is causing this.
The only way to find out is to delete them all and then add them one by one to see what app maybe causing this.
Especially if you've gone thru 3 iphones already.
When you restored as new - did you sync back your stuff - apps/music or did you restore from backup? -
