Is my iPhone 5s battery usage time normal?
Hey there, I would like to find out is my iphone 5s battery usage time normal? Last night before i plug it in for charging it was recorded 4 hours and 33 minutes of usage time and 13 hours of standby.
is that normal? The most usage time i have tried before is up to 5 hours.
are you using it on wifi or cellular data? if wifi then it just the same on me. 4-5 hours.

Drastic reduction in battery usage time after OS B...
Drastic reduction in battery usage time after OS Belle update. Without calls or any application use - one day! I am using a Nokia C7-00. Any solution to the problem?
Many folks, including myself have had success with correcting this with a battery cycling...
Basically...drain the battery until iPhone shuts itself off...Then charge using a home power outlet and NOT a Computer USB...
Then allow it to drain again fully until it shuts off...then again Charge fully using Home outlet...
Even though these batteries don't carry memory...this process seems to correct battery issues with the cells themselves just not acting properly... -
What can I do to increase battery usage time to greater than 6 hours?
What can I do to increase battery usage time to greater than 6 hours? I have a New iPad purchased 03/23/2012 64K-WiFi. I recharge it and get another 6 hours usage. I am using it primarily for reading books. Are there any applications I can turn off to get back to 10 hours?
@Ralph9430 The changes you recommended were implemented. This afternoon approximately at the same time and with similar usage all day The New iPad had 36% left on battery. This is a gain of 30% battery life. Thank you. Your suggestions resolved the issues.

My Iphone 4s battery usage log - is it normal?
Hi,
I purchased my Iphone 4s in November. Before the purchase, I had heard about the battery drainage problem reported for Iphone 4s. I had not owned any Iphone before. So I was worried that when I use my Iphone 4s, I would not be able to tell if the battery life is normal or not (since I have no reference level to compare to). So I decided to keep a detailed log on iphone activity and battery percentage.
I am pasting below part of the log below (which covers roughly 2 full cycles). The column for Activity refers to the activity that was carried out on the Iphone since the very last log entry.
(It looks very neat in my WORD, with everything aligned perfectly - but the format was mangled after I pasted it here)
Would someone who is knowledgeable about Iphone battery please take a look and tell me whether my battery life is normal or not? This way I can stop monitoring the battery life, which is getting so tiresome!
As you can see, I probably was not justified in buying an iphone in the first place since it was on standby mode most of the time! However, unconsciously, I have also tried to avoid using the phone since I had to make a log entry each time I use it, which can be so troublesome.
Thanks a lot!

Iphone 6 plus the battery usage times are erased when you turn off and back on iphone
i´m desperate. this has already happened with 4 new different iphone. I have it a week ago and suddenly when i turn it on un the morning i deleted the hours of use and standby battery. I get two hyphens . Reloading up to 100% and the counter is reset. but when you come back off and on again disappears again use times.I restored, reset settings and many other things but can not find the solution. has passed me at least 4 different iphones and the truth is that leads me crazy. someone could help me because in support anyone give me a solution.
many thanks. you are the only option left for me to discover something so rare and unanswered.
PD: so if I have observed is that when new and still has not restored works well. I have been working well so far that restored cleanly to put him last update. iphone latter came with 8.1 installed and use it for a week and did not fail. the problem appeared to restore and put him 8.1.1 . others began to fail after restore and do a clean install because it came with the iOS 8 and your so cleanly actualizer 8.1i have an iphone 6 plus and i just powered it off and and back on (by using the sleep/wake button) and the slide to power off - usage time/stand by time was preserved
if you reset and iphone (holding sleep/wake and home buttons until Apple logo appears - you will see those dashes until the next time the iPhone is charged backup to 100% - this has been the behavior with every iPhone i have owned (and Ive owned every one since the original -
IPhone 6 Battery Usage setting not working.
When I go to my setting and check my Battery Usage setting it states: "Battery information will be available after using iPhone for a few minutes". I've been using it for hours and I get the same response when I go to the setting. I've turned off my phone multiple times to see if that would resolve it, but it hasn't. Is anyone else experiencing this behavior?
Hello.
I have the same problem. iPhone 5, iOS8.0.2, used for a few days - still no usage statistics, only "Battery information will be available after using iPhone for a few minutes".
I tried restore iPhone (DFU) without restoring backup from iCloud/iTunes, resets, hard-resets, erase all settings, drain battery to 0% and charge to 100% overnight etc. - nothing helps.
I wrote to the Apple about this problem.
Here is the page that you can use to contact with Apple and report a bug - https://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html
Please, give the title of "iOS8 battery usage statistics not working" (or something like that), choose the "Bug report" and describe the problem. Perhaps it will make that Apple will eliminate this problem in the next version of iOS. More report - greater chance.

Apple Watch iPhone app battery usage
Hi Everyone,
Is anyone else finding that the Apple watch companion iPhone app is having a massive drain on their iPhone battery?
Since getting the watch, my iPhone is draining at about 2x the normal rate. When I go into the iPhone and take a look at the battery usage, it's the Apple Watch app that's absolutely creaming the battery.
As a bit of background, I expected this to be the case on the day I got the watch, given I was playing with it so much, but today, I've not done anything special on the watch or on the phone because I've had a busy morning. Even so, my iPhone will be drained by mid afternoon at the current burn rate.Having the same issue. Burned through 50% battery without really doing anything. It definitely seems to be tied to how much you use the watch though

IPhone 5 Battery Usage Spiked!
For the past 10 days, battery usage on my iPhone 5 has spiked! I've gone from charging it once a day to needing to charge it three to four times a day. This morning I watched battery life percentage go from 97% to 36% in four hours. I did not make any calls on it during that time. I have tried some experiments to isolate the problem.
The battery seems to deplete at the same rate if I am on my home WiFi or AT&T's LTE but I have been leaving it on cellular a lot lately becaue the LTE service is fast.
I see that using bluetooth to stream music from my iPhone to a speaker drains the battery more quickly but lately it drains at a more rapid rate.
I've turned off a few notifications I don't need with little effect.
I do have a few weather apps that I have been accessing recently (I live in the midwest) but I have done that with other iPhones in the past.
45 days ago I had to restore the iPhone back to factory settings and start over again because I could not join any wifi network the the entire system slowed. Apple thought it was corrupted software so I had to start over. Today I do not seem to have those problems but battery life is signficantly reduced.
Does anyone have advise as to what do to next other than take it in to the local Apple store for tests?
BTW I have plenty of space left on the iPhone and am running IOS 6.1.4. Come to think of it, this issue occurred around the time I installed 6.1.4!
Thanks in advance for your advice.
JayThere can be many reasons, but usually, it's an App issue, not a phone issue. For example, if you have an exchange mail account, it could be constantly trying to push mail. That will certainly drain a bettery fast. If you check you mail account and you see a spinning circle, which doesn't stop, that could be your problem. Often, either rebooting your phone or deleting, then re-entering the mailbox will resolve that. You could also have apps running in the background. Do you routinely fully close apps you are not using. To do so, double tap your home button to bring up the task bar (recently used apps). With your finger, hold it on any of the apps until they jiggle and you an on the upper left side of each app. Touch the to fully close the app.
Finally, during the set up of a phone or the upgrade of iOS, some things don't always port over correctly. Restoring the device and setting it up again, often solves this. -
IPhone 6 Battery Usage function not working
Battery Usage feature continues to read; "Battery information will be available after using iPhone for a few minutes" even though I have now had the phone and used it for one week. Using iPhone 6, 64G, IOS 8.0.0.(no iOS updates have yet been applied)
A few days ago I attempted some suggestions posted by others. One of those was to let the battery drain to zero then fully charge. This had no affect on the Battery Usage feature. Another suggestion that i tried was to close all open apps on phone, then shut down phone and then turn back on. This did not resolve the Battery Usage issue either.
Is apple aware of this issue? Any help would be appreciated.Hello.

Is my iPhone 4S battery usage normal?
I've only had my phone for a week now. Totally loving it but I noticed my battery wasn't lasting as long as I would have liked. So I went through all the steps to optimize my battery life.
Switched location services off, push notifications off, no apps running in the background, everything in iCloud is off except for Find my iPhone, no Siri, bluetooth off and wi-fi I only run as needed. I even once ran the phone down completely and recharged it and also restored the settings like some suggested.
At 11:12 my battery is at 52% and the Time since last full charge are:
USAGE: 2 Hours, 39 Min
STANDBY: 1 Day, 1 Hour
At 11:36 my battery is at 50% and the Time since last full charge are:
USAGE: 2 Hours, 42 Min
STANDBY: 1 Day, 1 Hour
Is my battery consumption now good, average or bad?
Should I worry about the battery or not...?Oops.
I am sorry I did not realize that the format was mangled so bad. I am not sure if you can still read it. -
Is my Iphone 5 battery considered as Normal?
My Iphone battery drop rapidly to me, I don't know if this is normal but it's bother me a lot. It drops from 100% to 20% at a very fast rate, 4 hours of usage and 11 hours of standby! Even though it change very fast, it drops very fast too, I rather my battery take a longer time to change than it dropping so fast. If I go out, I'm always worried if my battery will last until I reach home.
I always set my brightness to around 10%, I don't on push up notification, I don't on Bluetooth and I don't use location services. So is my battery consisderted as draining rapidly? The Iphone has varried battery duration. It depends what is running and what network you are one. Ehile at school I recomend putting the phone on airplaine mode as this will stop the Iphone from searching for networks.Did you do a full charge (100% to 0%)? On my Iphone it depends what I do. If I play games it heats up more causing faster battery drain. I can usually get a full day of usage (6:00 to 10:00) with some gaming but mainly texting and browsing the web. In some of my friends case they have seen better battery when they updated to IOS 6.1. I have seen better battery to. Always be on the current software because almost all updates of IOS help battery life. Hope this helps! Good luck with your new Iphone!

Battery usage time is significantly shortened since 2.0.1 os update
i used to use my iphone daily on a work day and have approx. 1/3 battery capacity left at the end of the day. now i use it in the same work day mode and it's completely depleted by the end of the day. i have a first generation iphone, os update 2.0.1. can you advise if there is anything i can do to lessen this very different energy consumption due to os upgrade? additionally, is there any way to revert to os 1.x? i need wireless access. i have iphone app's but i can easily live without them since i use them only when bored as entertainment. thank you.
ORC Enterprises,
I would recommend trying a restore, not from backup then resyncing your data over from the computer.
If it continues to have issues after the restore, then I would recommend having the iPhone serviced under your warranty.
Hope this helps,

Portege M750 - low battery usage time
Ok, So today when I started my M750 like usual.
I noticed the battery said 4 mins left 84% remaining?
I had the lowest settings on with toshiba power saver but 3 mins?
That is just SAD.
Can Anyone tell me how to fix this? Or should I just get a new battery?
I usually charged my laptop wherever I went, but now I HAVE to.Hi!
Try to new calibrate the battery. This means you should complete discharge the battery until the notebook shut down itself. Then load the battery complete and try it again.
If you have the same problem again, I would go to an ASP.

Is there anyway to reset battery usage statistics?
Just curious to know if you can clear or reset the battery usage percentages associated with apps under the battery usage screen in settings.
Thank youHey there mroniger3,
It sounds like you are wanting to clear out the data you see in Battery Usage. You can reset the battery usage timer by charging your phone back up according to the user guide:
Usage information - iPhone
See Battery Usage, including the elapsed time since iPhone has been charged and usage by app
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
Cheers,
Sterling
