Is my iPhone hacked?

Hi guys. Im sorry this is so long but please read! this is getting quite frustrating but my phone is out of space capacity. HOWEVER, it has been like this for the last 2 months and it still has worked fine, and i am able to save pictures by taking them in an app called snapchat and saving them to camera roll. For some reason this works, and I just continued doing this for the last 2 months or so. However, today, i was saving multiple pictures, and my snapchat froze completely. I checked my camera roll and saw a bunch of greyed out pictures as awell as a white picture with the words jpeg. in it. I also saw it said Restoring... at the bottom of my camera roll. I reset my phone and tried to delete a few pictures and it seemed to stop. Then, problems started happening with imsg. Its weird. sometimes my msgs will go through, sometimes they wont. It'll say sending 1 of 2 and when i close the app because it wont send, my msg will vanish and itll return the to last convo i had. Also, when i reset my phone at this time, it deleted all my msgs and randomly on the screen a bunch of notifications came up from 8 hours ago, and all my recent msgs were deleted. Basically imsg is barely working and sending. Then, while on safari I was searching if my phone was hacked and if my snapchat was hacked or what not, and it would suddenly close. When going to websites not regarding hacking it didnt close, and whenever i searched for a particular issue it closed on me. I found this really strange. Also randomly the apple symbol came up and my phone did a quick like 5 second reset, which was really strange. Finally, my mail just simply DOES not work AT all right now. when i click on the icon it crashes completely. and before it started crashing my mail kept getting notifications from like a few days ago and it kept coming in one after another. Now my mail is completely wiped but before it got wiped a huge amount of mail came in from "No sender" and dating back from 2000. Also I sometimes get random vibration sounds on my phone just randomly vibrates and buzzes. This all happened today. Im sorry if its so long, and if you guys have any other questions about what happened I'll answer. Im just worried is it hacked?

Ok. what i think im going to do is clear my camera roll which contains about 6gb, and transfer it on my computer. Then I'll do a restore. Thanks for your help though, and one last question though! Is there any possibility that it could be a remote hack? AND, lets just say the guy did hack my phone, remotely, or through my snapchat account/password, could that person increase the amount of radiation emitted from the phone to potentially harm me, OR could he track and look at my snapchats and pictures? i heard that both these things are possible from a few people. And thank you again, for your assistance!

  • Is my iphone hacked/infected?

Connected the iphone4 to the laptop, opened the internal storage to copy my images, and found - for the first time - 2 files named "Local Disk" 323bytes and 1.24kb with the drive icon, can't open them and it seems like a virus. is my iphone infected? hacked? or is it my laptop? and if it's my laptop would it affect my iphone? cause those 2 files are on the internal storage of the iphone.

Why does it "seem like a virus"?
Not every unexplained thing in technology is automatically a virus.
These files are normal and nothing to worry about. They will disappear when you remove the images from the phone. Do not attempt to delete things you don't understand the purpose of.

  • Is my iCloud/ iPhone hacked?

I suspect that my icloud account has been hacked on my iphone. I have reset my iphone to factory settings and deleted my old iCloud account and created a new one, but the phone still behaves oddly. Internet/WiFi isn't working as it should, apps that I never use like "the stock", "itunes store", and several other pops up when I double-click the home button to see wich programs iv'e used. Common programs that pictures and videos behave differently, it feels like the iphone is hacked somehow. What can I do to fix this?

I would contact Apple ID account support:  Apple ID: Contacting Apple for help with Apple ID account security

  • HT1212 Possible iPhone Hack.

Hello, my sister thinks her black iPhone 4S has been hacked. She origianlly had a 7 digit passcode on the lock screen, and while it was in her hand the phone went black and automatically turned into a 4 digit passcode for the lock screen. She is quite worried. We would like to know how to get into the iPhone without having to wipe the entire phone blank. Please get back to us as soon as possible. Thank you.
P.S. The iPhone is also with Virgin mobile.

READ the article from which the question was posted.  It clearly details how to deal with the situation.
    Passcodes do not magically change.
Unless the iPhone has been jailbroken it cannot be hacked.

  • Iphone hacked?  Please help on how to detect and remove  possible malicious software/apps

    Hi,
I have an iphone 4s.  I've installed iOS 7.   Some one has been harrasing me and seems to have access to my info on the phone.  I use icloud and the phone apps for calendar and they seem to know detail that are only in my calendar on my phone.
I have changed the password for icloud from a safe computer many times and have re-installed the OS on the phone  and have gone through all the apps and removed any that I don't absolutely trust.
Is there any way to see if there is an app on the phone that enables hacking/sharing of the info. on that phone?
Any advice on what to do?  It's not that information about my calendar is all that important but it just creepy that someone would be so evil to do so and it creeps me out-I want to make sure my phone is private and only I have access to my own information.
Any help and advice is much appreciated.
    Thanks.

Unless your iPhone has been jailbroken it cannot be hacked.
The person is obtaining the information form somewhere else.
Do they have access to your email account like Google? or Hotmail?  If your Calendar is linked to those and they have access they would be able to see your calendar.
As was suggested above, change your Email account passwords.

  • HT4528 Iphone hacked and remotely controlled on yahoo mobile site

I went to the yahoo mobile site on my iphone 4S through safari and someone took over the key board and started typing into the yahoo search field a message really fast.  My i phone is not jail broken that I know of.  I have not seen any sms with square text.
    What can I do?

    Thanks KiltedTim,
I shut off my phone before I saw the end of the ad.  I am glad you responded because I would not have turned on my phone and gone back to yahoo's mobile site.
My first reaction to seeing someone take over my phone was hacker,,, not ghost.
It seems obvious to me that many others will react the same way to that ad.  Unfortunatly, others might jump to the conclusion they need to protect their identities and take drastic and damaging actions like clearing their phones, and changing credit information bacause of an ad that (in my opinion) was not thought out very well.
This seems like something bound to end up in a lawsuit.

  • Another iphone hack question

after my recent paranoia of someone having personal photos of mine because I think they have hacked into my phone, I was reading an article that was card 2011 and it was for this spy software that you don't need to have access to the phone to hack it that the hacker installs it their phone and they call the phone number they want to hack and bam bam it's done. Is this true or had the recent iOS updates dating back two years ago to now have fixed this?

No, that cannot be done unless your iPhone is hacked/jailbroken.

  • IPhone hacked or virus!  Text messages gone and phone freezing!

CALL APPLE SUPPORT ASAP IF YOU HAVE THIS ISSUE!!!!  They don't respond to these discussions!
    (800) MY-IPHONE (800-694-7466)
My wife and I woke up this morning with a text message on both our iPhone 5 and 4s (running on Sprint) for $10 for Microsoft Office.  We did not click on the text, but our text message app crashed.  Then our texts disappeared and reappeared after rebooting, and we deleted the suspicious text but could not access any of our other texts.
It has been hours later and we can't text and our messages are there and then gone, our phone keeps on freezing on other apps, and my iPhone 5 screen is flickering.  We both received another $10 Microsoft Office text and were able to delete it again.
We have rebooted, turned off, let the phone rest 30 minutes off, etc. and our phones are still worthless.  They appear to work for a while and then start acting up again.
I called Apple  (800) MY-IPHONE (800-694-7466) and spoke to a senior customer assistant, Brittney, who said I was the only person reporting this problem.  I told her there were threads here with the exact same issues and she told me they don't respond to problems reported here since it is just a discussion board and only do something if you call them. She suggested for me to do a full restore to factory setting on my phone but showed no real concern why this happened to our phones...
Our phones either have been hacked or have a virus and this is a huge issue!  If you have this problem, please call Apple ASAP.

Virus contamination of a non-jailbroken iPhone hasn't been documented yet- that doesn't guarantee impossibility.
No, it doesn't. But it's highly unlikely that is what happened.
A single text message should not result in a crashing of the Messaging app, nor freezing of the entire phone, nor automatic shutdown as it's resulted in at least seven people within the forum today.
There are/were several documented bugs that could cause EXACTLY that behavior when receiving a malformed text message.
Note that none of this constitutes "infection" of the phone, or "hacking" as in unauthorized accessing of information by a third party.

  • Apple finally weighs in on iPhone hacks, unlocking... READ UP!

Merely three days after hearing of one user's run-in with Apple over his unlocked iPhone, the company has released an official statement warning users that "unauthorized iPhone unlocking programs" could cause "irreparable damage to the iPhone's software." Furthermore, the firm stated that these apps could result in the handset becoming "permanently inoperable when a future Apple-supplied iPhone software update is installed" -- you know, like the one coming "later this week" that includes the iTunes WiFi Music Store. As if that wasn't bad enough, the release also notes that "unauthorized modifications to the iPhone's software" violates the iPhone software license agreement and "voids the warranty." Ouch.

    We already had this threat.

  • How to prevent iphone hacks

What are the best applications for protecting my iphone from hacking?

    You need none.
The only way your iphone would get hacked is if you hack it or give it to someone who hacks it.

  • IPhone hacking

Is there a way to know if my iPhone has been hacked?  I discovered that in my Notes application, a list of my email account and corresponding passwords were deleted.  It was only that that was deleted, not the rest of the Notes.  It also set back the last Save date at least 3 months.  Someone in computer forensics told me that this could happen if someone got into my iCloud account.  If this is indeed what happened, would upgrading to a new phone get rid of the hack activity?

Your iphone has not been hacked.
Your account may have been.  Change your password.
This has nothing at all to do with the iphone.

  • Flash SMS?! iPhone hacked???

    Dear Apple Community,
I just received something called "Flash SMS" with a weird text in it. Something like "We r u now? m"
I googled this and found out that this was, as I called it before, a flash SMS. Will this mean my iPhone is hacked? It's a totally NOT jailbroken iPhone 4S with iOS 6.0.1.
What I have to do now? Backup, Reset everything and restore from backup?
I'm actually a bit worry about this... :/
It looked like this: (THIS IS A GOOGLE PIC, not my case. I forgot to made a screenshot, I was too worried.)

Omg thanks guys! I thought my iPhone was hacked or something, because some minutes ago a strange person (dialed the wrong number, he told me that) called me. (With a normal phonenumber for my country.) So everthing is fine?

  • Iphone hacked thru yahoo mail?

I keep receiving a request to enter my yahoo mail password at anytime I start my iphone g3. I now click "cancel" but it's too late. My iphone icloud mail keeps getting junk mail I don't dare to click on it since I suspect I have been hacked. The interesting thing is that it does not download to my home icloud mail...thank god!. The problem I see with icloud in Iphone and also in my laptop is that the program does not allow me to select a number of unopened mail and delete before it opens the message, as with yahoo and gmail. Can someone shed some light on how to go about this?, short of calling Apple and get support, which I may have to do after the holidays. Thanks.

what is more, i have sent an email successfully from another yahoo email on the phone and that worked but not the primary account in question?
