OK. My laptop moves with me. Can it be "sync-ed" with my desktop so that I can access the desktop info on my laptop?

Thank you.So you have business contacts that were lost... do you not have these on a Database in some shape or form? Sounds like you need to invest in a RAID1 backup setup for your computer so you dont have this issue in the future.
As for repairing your problem, sounds like you are going to need to start from scratch at this point or if the data is still on your phone look into a program that can take the information from the phone onto iTunes. -

Thanks for the reply. I already have this info, but have spent several hours trying to cross reference with the product descriptions and the different carriers websites. I was hoping there was an easier way.

i had blackberry desktop manager on my work computer and use to sync with outlook perfectly. 2 weeks ago i did a backup then sync as normal. i lost over half of my 600+ contacts and alot of calander listings on my phone. tried to sync again from computer to phone and lost more contacts and calander listings. so i tried to restore from the backup and lost more data. i reinstalled software from the cd i recieved last year when i purchased the 8530. the desktop software would not find outlook and would not sync. i deleted softwaqre and just downloaded new blackberry desktop software. it still will not find outlook on my computer and will not sync.

First check your default services on the device under Options, Advanced Options, default services.
If the default services are configured correctly I would suggest try creating a new MAPI profile as outlined in this article http://btsc.webapps.blackberry.com/btsc/KB02083 and then reconfigure the Desktop Software as shown here http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB17022

How to setup Mac contacts and iPhone to sync with google?
I have tried and tried, I setup the exchange account with my google info on my iPhone but what do I need to do0 on the Mac? I went to address book preferences and checked sync with google and entered my info I even then hit the sync now button in the toolbar but none of my contacts went to my google contacts.. I then created a test contact on the Mac and hit sync and nothing happened. I created a test contact on the iPhone and it did sync to google contacts on the web but not to my Mac address book? What am I doing wrong?
Ps: I have about 50 contacts on my iPhone and Mac previosly synced with mobile me, I did turn off mobile me before doing this. I do not have any contacts in my google contacts on the web, I never did.Do you use iCloud for Contacts on your Mac and/or iPhone?

Reminders and Calendar not synced with iCloud
At some point, Reminders and Calendar no longer sync with iCloud. They were working fine when I first installed Mountain Lion (a fresh install on a new drive, not an upgrade with preferences from a previous install), but sometime recently they stoppped syncing. This may or may not have occurred when I updated to 10.8.2; I don't regularly use them, but when I do, I need the info synced.
Other programs work fine: Contacts, Notes, and Safari all sync with iCloud. I can create/update items on my iPhone, and it's reflected on my Mac, and vice-versa.
This is frustrating, especially because it was working well at one point. I've tried unchecking/re-checking the "Calendars & Reminders" option in the iCloud system preferences, as well as signing out and back in again. Each time, I've always chosen to delete the data on my Mac.
I'm out of ideas - short of a full reinstall, which isn't feasible. Has anyone else experienced this and solved it?I have developed the same problem. Calendar and Reminders no longer sync, nor can I enter any new items via iCloud.com. My iPhone and BusyCal on my MAC no longer sync. I was tempted to try turning sync off on my MAC but, like you, got the warning that it was deleting all data on my MAC. So I backed off.
Using my MAC, I signed onto my wife's iCloud account and experienced no problem; all works as it should.
I keep sending the error messages to Apple. So far in the last two days they have not responded. -
i purchased two songs on my iphone and it did sync with itunes. Then i put the two new songs in a music folder and it won't sync the songs to the folder on my iphone. same phone same computer never had this problem before.
In iTunes, try signing out of your Apple ID & then back in: click on iTunes Store on the left sidebar of iTunes, click on your Apple ID on the top right, sign out, sign back in. Then try to sync your purchased music to your phone again.

Copy the ENTIRE iTunes folder (and all other desired data) from the old computer to the new computer. -
What's the proper protocol for a reset on my ipod touch 4g? iOS 6 has totally jacked it up and it will no longer do anything but crash, and won't sync with itunes wirelessly or by cable.
It's a 64G ipod touch and was fine till Apple told me to upgrade to ios 6. Now most of my apps crash, my music won't play and I just get a white screen when I hit Music.
When I try to sync to itunes it acts like it's going to sync and appears to recognize the ipod, but it's grayed out and has an update circle by it that spins for a while until itunes eventually freezes alltogether.
