Is my Satellite L350D-213 supported for TV output?

I'm not sure i'm able to display my laptop screen onto my TV, i'm a bit of a newbie to this sort of stuff :S
My laptop model is Toshiba Satellite L350D-213, if my laptop is not supported for it; is there any other way i could display it?

It seems that your TV supports the s-video socket.
Therefore you could use a cable [VGA to S-Video|http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/61cIaRuNTZL._SL500_AA300_.jpg]
There is also an PC input socket available this means that you can connect the LCD as an external monitor to the notebook.
I think for this connection an VGA cable should be ok.
I would recommend visiting an electronic equipment dealer downtown and to ask for a right cable.

Satellite L350D-213 - Updating drivers on Windows 7

Bought Satellite L350D-213 mid Nov. Pre-loaded with Winodws 7. System auto detect on Tosh site shows that whole batch of new Windows7 drivers issued on 3/12/09. Was wondering whether I need to install all these drivers.
Up to now only prob has been webcam "locked by another application" which hours of web searching showed to be very common prob. Downloaded latest webcam driver issued on 3rd Dec. Cam ok at moment but only time will tell. Is it advisable to go through the whole list of applicable drivers or leave things as they are. Don't want to cause uneccessary probs.
Any advice welcome.

Its nice to read that your webcam works properly now and this would be also my suggestion to update the driver regarding this issue.
However, if your computer runs properly now I dont see any reason to update any drivers. Why you should do this?
I think drivers are only released to solve problems on other notebooks or compatibility issues so if you dont have problems you must update nothing. I can recommend never change a running system! ;)
So have fun with your notebook dont bother about updating drivers.

Recently been having trouble with my Toshiba Laptop Satellite L350D-213, it frquently overheats and turns off, any suggestions as to stop it overheating would be greatly appriciated

There are a lot of advices regarding the overheating issue.
First of all the notebook shuts down automatically in order to prevent the hardware parts from damage the higher temperature could affect the parts and this is the reason why the notebook shuts down.
Why the temperature is too high?
Well, maybe the cooling modules dont run with best performance due to dust and debris inside the modules?
This is mostly the reason why the fans cannot rotate and cannot cool down the notebook.
I recommend checking this and to remove the dust and debris from cooling vents using compressed air spray.
I do this from time to time and it helps to keep the fans clean

Satellite L350D-213 wont boot

I've been through the forum and not found a solution. Having trouble booting the laptop.

Win 7 32 bit
A week ago I started having an intermittent problem where the laptop would not wake up after going to sleep. I could normally resolve this by powering down ands rebooting. However it has now got to the point where I cannot turn it on at all. The laptop starts, the fan starts spinning, the hard drive starts running but it goes no further. There is nothing on the screen at all. I have tried with a monitor and still nothing. If I have a USB mouse plugged in when I switch it on the light on the bottom will flash briefly and then go off
I have tried turning on by holding down the power button, I have tried without battery. I have unplugged battery and power cable and held power button down for a minute. Still have the same problem. This eveningi tookl the laptop apart and attempted to remove the cmos battery. It is stuck hard but I managed to remove it (breaking off one of the metal connectors in the process. It is now taped down.) Regardless, the same povlem happens. Does anyone have any ideas or shall I just buy a new motherboard?

On this virtual way it is not easy to offer exact diagnostic but after reading your first posting Im afraid there is some serious issue with the mainboard. It is pretty old notebook model so warranty is probably expired.
I dont think there is anything you can do about it. Have you already looked around if you can find well working used mainboard for good price?

JavaScript support for HTML Output

Is anyone aware of any document that explains what client side scripting functions are supported when rendering forms as HTML from FormServer?

In the FormServer Documentation, there is a pdf (transformation_reference.pdf) which outlines the objects, properties and methods which you can use from either Server-side scripting or Javascript client in HTML with Form Server.
You can also look it the xfasubset.js file which is included in every HTML page rendered by form server. This basically maps Browser properties to the XFA object model. You can get it by viewing the source of the HTML form, scroll to the bottom and grab the url for the SCRIPT tag and enter it into the browser. This will download the JS file. If you know javascripting and HTML it should not be much of a problem for anyone to understand what is available.

Gcc and g++ support for SSA output

Hey everyone,
I'm trying to compile a C++ file to SSA (single static assignment) and this should be possible with g++ as gcc from 4 onwards includes this facility (http://developer.apple.com/documentation/Darwin/Reference/ManPages/man1/i686-app le-darwin9-g++-4.0.1.1.html) but i have not been able to do it with 4.0.1 or 4.2.1.
Is this a mac issue or a me issue?
i'm compiling with the -fdump-tree-ssa switch.
Any ideas would be great.

Support for lsim, fzero

I am an academic user with a a site license for PDS and a full MATLAB license. I have a control system I'm developing which depends on lsim and fzero. I can see that I can probably port the functioning core of the MATLAB version of the program to Mathscript RT, however, the ultimate goal is to deploy the system as a standalone app. I can live with having to run the prototype on my development system in the short term, but ultimately I need those functions. Is there any hope that standalone version of these functions will appear in Mathscript anytime soon? I'm sure there are sound reasons why something that works in the development system doesn't work in standalone, but perhaps this could be clarified.

I went back and reread the documentation "Control Design MathScript RT Module Functions Not Supported in the LabVIEW Run-Time Engine", and now it makes sense to me. Perhaps "calling the functions without return arguments generates graphical output, which is not supported in standalone applications" would be a better way to describe this.
The Mathematics function minimization routines may work for me, but the attraction of Mathscript RT is greater compatibility between my Matlab codebase and my Labview codebase. There are some routines I'm willing to recode, such as interfaces to monitors and pumps, but my development work on control algorithms will almost certainly going to remain in Matlab. My situation may be unique; I have both Matlab and Labview already, and as long as I'm content to drag my laptop into the OR to test the controller, I'm OK, but the moment I need to compile a standalone version for my eeePC, I have to commit to one platform or the other. Building a box with ARM or Blackfin will require buying new modules for either Matlab or Labview, and finding someone who can handle the implementation (almost certainly there won't be a single individual who will be platform-agnostic). So as I look at the decision as to which platform to choose for my prototype, it becomes important for me to understand a bit more about the roadmap. Perhaps it would help us all if you could answer a few questions:
1) For a Mathscript call that does not draw to the screen, how much work is involved to move it to the standalone version? Is it just pointing at a few different header files and linking to different libraries, or is it some bizarre difference like the development system is in C and the standalone is in Algol?
2) How different is this for embedded targets? Is ARM significantly different than Blackfin?
3) Is all of this simply Mathscript lib_load, and if so, is there an example of a single C file that, with an appropriate #def statement, spits out a development, standalone, ARM, or Blackfin Hello World object?
I understand that you have to prioritize development resources, but some simple statements like "we are committed to supporting all optimization, ode, and integration routines subject to the limitation of no support for screen output in the Spring 2010 release, and will release support for a Mathscript screen control in Fall 2010" or "Significant enhancements to Mathscript RT will not be available in the coming year".

I need some XP drivers for Satellite L350D-110 PSLE8E

Hello there.
I have now my brandnew Toshiba notebook. It comes only with VISTA, a very nice looking system.
But I want to use my notebook in our office too and then I need to install XP Professional.
XP is already installed, but i need some drivers to complete the system installation.
Here is screenshot from my hardware manager (hope it will work in this forum):

For the Satellite L350D and Windows XP there are all drivers available.
I think you forget to install two or more drivers.
Here you can download it:

Search for your model and you will get a list of all drivers. Then you can compare which drivers you didnt install yet.
As Jeffrey said, I should be the AMD Processor Driver, Realtek driver and the card reader.

Satellite L350D Works for a few minutes and then completely stop

Hi all!
I am having a weird problem with my laptop Satellite L350D-216
I've used it for a long time in a row and starts to show some strange vertical lines at the screen and kind of loose focus and then it went completely black
Since then if I switch off and leave for a few hours it switches on normally and work for 5/10 minutes and goes black again.
It happens after I was working on it for about 20 hours straight or so (might be related)
What i did tried:
-Switch on only with the battery
-Switch on only with the AC
-Take all off and hold off key for 1 min and then try again both above
When it does switch on everything seems to be working 100% without problem but doesnt last more then 10 minutes as I said
Any ideas?

First of all thanks for trying to help.
This morning I've open the laptop and clean it the cooler completely (was full of dust) and it is now working full speed.
What I've noticed however is that the problem seems to be worsening. Today, even before the cleaning, when I switch on the computer after a whole night of i got the blank screen straight away. So I couldn't test it at BIOS as you guys ask me too, however yesterday, even before posting here, I've tried something similar and the black screen came after a few minutes as if i was using windows.
You think the GPU is faulty?
And, if the answer is yes, is it worthy/possible to replace? How much it would cost?
Any further test I could do to make sure the problem is at the GPU?

What HDDs are supported for Satellite 5100-201

My disk made some strange noises, maybe it have one foot in the grave...
Have latest bios 1.9. and original disk at 30GB.
Have an Hitachi 40GB I tried with, but notebook did not find it.
So I would like to know what disks and sizes that are supported for that model.

Very strange did you use a compatible 40GB HDD?
In my knowledge the notebook should be able to recognize the 40GB HDD.
As far as I know the 30 GB HDD which was installed is a Toshiba MK3017GAP and the computer supports a 20, 30, 40 or 60 GB HDDs.
I think these HDD should be compatible:
Toshiba HDD2171B 40GB HDD
HITACHI G8BC00009110 40GB HDD
Toshiba HDD2183B 60GB
PS: The strange noise coming from the HDD could be the beginning of the end
So make a data backup.

I have a Toshiba Satellite L350D and I am trying to install the Windows7 again cause the screen went black so I decided to format and install everything again but when its finishing the installation the laptop reboots but the screen continues black :(
Any clews?
Can I do a BIOS update without having Windows working and should this sort it out my problem?

If you have recovery disc you can install original image later. Now is important to have well working OS. For this purposes you can use Microsoft installation disc and later install all necessary drivers, tools and utilities from Toshiba support page. I have done this several times on different Toshiba notebooks and every time everything went well.
Back to your original question: it is not easy to say why the screen stays black. You know that after OS installation notebook may restart several times to finish OS installation and prepare desktop for the first use.
Maybe is some external device connected to your notebook? Please disconnect all connected stuff and try installation again.
Before you start it set BIOS to default settings. It must work somehow.

Satellite X200-213 doesnt't start up

Hello, since this morning my Satellite X200-213 doesn't start up : the screen stay black, the Hard drive seems to work (HDD led is blinking and I can hear it).
Anybody have an idea about the problem?

Thanks for your help. I haven't used an external display with this notebook, but I have tried with an lcd monitor today and it works, but I have many blue screen and Vista can't start. If I unplug the lcd monitor, and use FN+F5 key, the notebook LCD stay always black. May I contact support ?

Satellite L350D - hotkeys dont work

I have a problem with program Toshiba Utiliities V1.00.06 (same problem with with v1.00.01). When trying to install there's a communicate coming up. It says: "TOSHIBA Common Module not found! This setup will terminate."
Its some situation with wireless,I have all installed,I see networks and I cant loggin bcs dont works Fn+F8 :(.
What is that and why does it occur? Problem this occurs on Windows XP Service Pack 3 it's just after beeing installed.Orriginaly there was Windows Vista SP 1.

As I can see on Toshiba download page your notebook model is not supported for WXP and Toshiba doesnt offer any driver, tool or utility. So I am asking myself what are you doing exactly and which Toshiba Utilities you try to install.
Can you please tell us where you found WXP Toshiba Utilities for Satellite L350D PSLE0E?
BTW: I just hope you have created Vista recovery DVD before you started installing WXP.

First let me make it clear my iMac is running native OS X 10.8.5 and all Adobe Creative Cloud Apps are install on the iMac running natively in the OS X system environment. I only have Parallels Desktop 8 for Mac installed to run Microsoft Office software in Windows 7 when needed (because PowerPoint for Mac sucks big time compared to the PC version)… absolutely no Adobe CC Apps have been installed on the Parallels virtual PC environment.
I have been having problems with Creative Cloud Desktop not updating so I uninstalled it and tried to install the latest version from Adobe. I then get the following error:

This has happened all last week. Because we have been so busy at work I waited until the weekend to contact the 24/7 chat support.
This was going well. I was sharing my desktop with the agent who was adjusting the permissions of some folder. The problem came when he launched chrome on Parallels and not on the MAC and tried to install the PC EXE version of CC desktop. When I pointed this out to the Agent he instantly stop the screen share and stated in the chat box that virtual computers are not supported and I must find my own solution without giving me an opportunity to explain.
Every time I tried to start the chat again I was cut-off while trying to explain that Adobe CC was running natively under a native OS X and the Virtual PC was a separate to this
Only after my 4th attempt (having per cut an pasted my arguement into the chat box) did a get any further. The Agent refused to continue to try and fix my problem but did say the Adobe engineers are aware of the "204" error
Has anyone else had this "204" error installing Creative Cloud Desktop or can direct me to a solution it would be much appreciated

Unfortunately I am still getting the 204 error
I download the Creative Cloud Desktop App at home and brought it into work to install — which failed
I then tried to install the same file on the only Mac in the office not on Creative Cloud and it installed with out any problems
I then tried plugging my iMac into the same ethernet socket incase it was a problem with the ethernet socket. No luck it still had the 204 error
