Is my temperature monitor working correctly?
i've downloaded the marcel bresink temperature monitor for my macbook.
before the firmware update, it ran at 67 degrees celsius. after the firmware update, it runs at 40's.
when i restarted my computer few hours later, and loaded up the temperature monitor, it gave me a reading of 29 degrees and even with intensive work (where i can feel the heat and the fan working) the temperature monitor still remained at 29 degrees. right now, it seems to be stuck on 25 degrees. i've changed the preferences so that the sensors are updating the temperatures regularly. i've also tried reinstalling it. is there something wrong or am i not noticing something here?
thanks guy!
btw, my new macbook is working great!
It's an Intel processor design fault. I got this info from the Hardware Monitor developer.
Q: I have a Mac with an Intel Core Solo or Core Duo processor.
Sometimes, the temperature readings seems to "hang" and are no longer
being refreshed. Is this a problem with the application?
A: No, this problem is caused by an internal design flaw of current
versions of Intel Core processors. The Digital Thermal Sensors may
stop working when the processor returns from a C3/C4 power saving
state. Intel plans to correct this hardware bug for future steppings
of the CPU.
Intel refers to this hardware problem as Erratum AE18. For detailed
information, please see Intel document 30922204

Panel menus aren't working correctly on dual monitors
Hi,
I posted a question yesterday about this, but no one replied. Maybe my subject didn't describe the problem so I am trying again.
I use DW on a dual monitor Windows XP system. The program is on the main monitor and I move some of the panels/palettes to the secondary monitor which is to the left of the main monitor. The problem is that when I click the little menu icon in the upper right corner of the panels, the context menus open all the way over on the far right side of the main monitor. Please see the attached image to see exactly what is happening.
I have tried everything I can think of to make this work correctly, but no luck. My Photoshop workspace is set up similarly and the PS palette menus open just as they should.
Thank you.
JohnHi John,
let your question there and wait, someone will answer to you. AND try to use Google with your appropriate keywords.

Secondary monitor seems not working correctly. Please help.
I am using a secondary monitor in Lightroom and one feature does not seem to be working correctly. Let say, I want to use the Survey mode on my secondary monitor, I select my images on the first monitor, and on the secondary monitor, I press Shift+N, and all the selected images on the first monitor in the Grid view will be displayed side-by-side on my secondary monitor in the Survey mode. But the problem is when I try to click on one selected image, and try to give it a rating, it does not just rate that individual image only, it rates all of the selected images the same rating. I don't understand! That's how it works if you are using one monitor, why it does not work on the secondary monitor. Will appreciate a fix to this problem with many thanks.
Hope someone will help with many thanks.

Just did security update and restated now monitor is not working correctly
Just did the latest security update (didn't catch the specific number), restarted my 1.83 GHZ macbook white, intel chip. Running 10.4.11.
Monitor from has what appears to be scan lines at the bottom and are slowly creeping up the screen!
Any help would be appreciated, don't know if I can undo the update somehow, or if it is a driver conflict?does an external monitor work(with descrete or optimus only since integrated doesnt drive the panel), if so, then it might be a display issue. if not, then check resolution and refresh rate.
looks kind of like my monitor did when the resolution was wrong(computer tried 1366x768 on an FHD display)

Any Temperature Monitor apps working on MBP yet?
I've got a hot MBP like a lot of people here.
Before I call Apple, I wanted to quantify just "how hot" it is, but Temperature Monitor 3.3 "can't find a sensor" when it launches. Their product page states that they don't "fully support" MBP yet but will soon.
So. Any other way to get the internal temp reading until Temperature Monitor gets updated?
ThanksHardware monitor 3.4 (Marcel Bresnik Software
Systeme) is a Universal Binary. It gives me pretty
accurate temperatures. At the hottest, my MBP
records temperatures at about 117 degree Fahrenheit.
It is pretty hot to the touch, but since I survived
summer temperatures that hot as a kid, it isn't
extreme. Don't know how this compares to a PB; my
other machines are iBooks.
Do you consider this very hot or normal operations. After about 2 hours of continuous use (mostly web surfing) my wife's 12" PB is showing 113degF processor topside and 133degF graphics processor temps. It does not appear to be running any more than normal temps to me. Just trying to get a benchmark for my comtemplated MBP purchase.

Question for anyone who uses temperature monitor
i think my temperature monitor is broken..i had it on my last macbook and it worked fine..but this one says my computer is constantly at 21*Celcius...and i've tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it..what is the best temperature monitor?
None of these these temperature monitors are going to work right with the current Intel Duo Core chips. It's an Intel processor design fault. I got this info from the Hardware Monitor developer.

Print profiles no longer working correctly with CS6 64bit to my Epson R2880
Hi, until recently, my print profiles were working correctly with CS6 64bit (Win 7 ultimate 64) to my Epson R2880, they now print washed out/desaturated but the same profiles still print correctly using Lightroom 4. has there been an update that could have affected things or are there any other suggestion? Thanks, Dave.
Hi,
I hope someone can help!
I recently bought my first Mac, a great MacBook Pro which I love!
I use Lightroom3 and Photoshop CS5 to edit photos and now want to print from my Epson R1800.
I found that the prints initially came off very dark & contrasty, so I calibrated both the MBP screen and my Samsung SuncMaster 245B monitor with my Spyder2 and the Colorvision software.
Even after establishing colour profiles for both screens, the printed image was still far darker and "heavier" than that shown on screen. This was the same whether printing from LR3 or from the Mac Preview app (it was worth trying I thought!).
So searching for help on the web I came across this thread and now wonder whether I should uninstall my driver (6.57) and reinstall the printer with 6.23.
Stephen did you find that this worked - did PS CS5 behave after that?
Of course I'm trying to print some work soon and in desperation could adjust every (edited) image by brightening & reducing contrast, however with dozens to print it seems crazy to do that, not to mention wrong!
Thanks for any help!

Start Routine not working correctly.
Hi gurus,
I'm having a problem with a start routine in an update rule to one of my cubes. I debug it and it seems to work fine. However, it ends the simulation saying in the error message "No active update rules exist for this infosource." However, I think it's something to do with the logic I have in my start routine. Below is the start routine which I am trying to debug. I'm doing a lookup on an ODS and if no match is found on that ODS by Sales Order and Sales Order Item, I do another lookup on an object that has the same information that I'm looking to append to the transaction record. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm thinking the second loop against the internal table might not be working correctly as it seems to just sit on that table.
Thanks in advance,
John

Panorama not working correctly
I have created about 20 panoramas and six of them did not display correctly. I am shooting in camera RAW and downloading dng files t
o my computer. the panoramas created are between three and seven images. Here is the problem:
The process seems to work correctly every time except when the final image is displayed on the monitor. The image displayed is trunc
ated to another line (just like text-wraping in Microsoft Word when you get to the end of a line). The panorama then continues on th
e next line/layer until you get to the end of the panorama. Sometimes it even goes to a third line/layer.
I have tried to expand the canvas but this does not seen to help. Why is this happening and how can I avoid this in the future? Ovbi
ously I am missing something.
The computer is new. I took the series of images a week ago and did three panoramas of three and four images. The panorama that did
not display too good has seven images in it. All images are from my shoot of last week. There have been no software changes since th
e initial software load about six weeks ago.
My last problem was on a previous computer, but ironically the problem occured at about the same way. That is to say I had taken sev
eral panorama series in a photo shoot. downloaded all the images (using bridge) at the same time. I then did two panoramas of four a
nd six images. Both turned out just fine, but when I tried the third panorama the resulting panorama did not display properly. I got
the same image-rapping display problem.
In both instances (on the old computer and on the new computer, once a panorama displays incorrectly redoing the panorama does not r
ectify the problem. The only other thing I can think to tell you is when the panorama displays incorrectly it is always a narrow dis
play (as if the image was being displayed in portrait mode instead of in landscape mode.
By the way. when I switched computers. I did uninstall my version of CS4 on the old computer and then installed it on the new comput
er. In both instances I have installed the adobe updates as they have become available.
I have Windows 7 and Photoshop CS4i don't think that i get all problem, but i use photmerge often. my advice is try to merge step by step images not all at once, sometimes it helps (i build once from 12 - 6x2 pieces, all at one result was very bad so i put them by pairs and then together - much more better result).
and u can try to play with photomerge option Layout. try to use not Auto, thats help sometimes too. don't know acctually why there is many mathematic and on one data with diferent preference it can give out diferent result. -
Hi,
I’m getting the following error message when ever I try to start cs6 and the program gets close.
“Adobe Photoshop CS6 has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available”
Please advise what is the problem? and How to sort this out?

Twist: Can't make two external monitors work
I'm trying to get two external monitors to work with my twist. One is connected via mini-HDMI, the other using a Thunderbolt adapter (I've tried adapters for VGA, DVI and HDMI - same result). Only one external monitor (mini HMDI) works, although Win8 detects both (lists the grayed-out monitor make/model correctly). If I unplug either monitor, the other works fine.
Note that I am using an Apple Thunderbolt adapter, not the Lenovo Mini DisplayPort adapter. I use the Thunderbolt adapter with one monitor all the time.
I have two monitors working at another location; Mini DisplayPort -> VGA and USB -> SVGA.
Is the problem that I'm not using the Lenovo adapter, or is this never going to work? Thanks. The Twist should support internal LCD + one external LCD (or 2 external LCD with displayport splitter) on at the same time.

So far, all other applications I have used are working correctly. Is it ME or MY computer or is Safari 7.0 have a BUG in it? I have not found a way to remove Safari 7.0 and re install it because when I tell it to move to trash, the system reports that it is part of the OS and cannot be removed.
In the interim, I have downloaded and installed FIREFOX and it is working FLAWLESSLY.
Any Comments, suggestions, solutions would be greatly appreciated.
Regards

Since updating my Late 2010 iMac to Moutain Lion the sleep function does not work correctly. They system keep waking up for no reason. The monitor comes comes day or night. I cannot figure out a fix or work around. Any ideas?
Please read this whole message before doing anything. This procedure is a test, not a solution. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it. Step 1 The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is localized to your user account. Enable guest logins* and log in as Guest. For instructions, launch the System Preferences application, select Help from the menu bar, and enter “Set up guest users” (without the quotes) in the search box. Don't use the Safari-only “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac.” While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your personal files or settings. Applications will behave as if you were running them for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin. Test while logged in as Guest. Same problem(s)? After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it. *Note: If you’ve activated “Find My Mac” or FileVault, then you can’t enable the Guest account. The “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac” is not the same. Create a new account in which to test, and delete it, including its home folder, after testing. Step 2 The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login. Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode* and log in to the account with the problem. The instructions provided by Apple are as follows:
Shut down your computer, wait 30 seconds, and then hold down the shift key while pressing the power button.
When you see the gray Apple logo, release the shift key.
If you are prompted to log in, type your password, and then hold down the shift key again as you click Log in.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including wireless networking on certain Macs. The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin. *Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t boot in safe mode. Test while in safe mode. Same problem(s)? After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of steps 1 and 2. -
I'm running Windows 8, Premiere CC 2014 with two monitors. The eye dropper tool (color picker tool) isn't working correctly. It is selecting colors that are not the colors being hovered over. I've reasearched and see solutions to the problem when occurring with Mac, but do not see a solution for Windows. When I disconnect the second monitor, the eye dropper tool works correctly (as described by Mac users). I deleted any profiles for the montors that weren't the same, and still having the issue. I've also tried putting the source monitor on the second monitor, and tried sampling color from there... same result.
Hello All,
Problem solved...I reset all tools in the Tool Preset window. Seems to be working.
Hope this helps someone...
Cheers!
