Is NIMODBUS.LLB Compatible With Windows7

Good Morning,
I have written code using the nimodbus.llb library using Win2000 and LabVIEW 2009. Works fine. I want to install my application on a new laptop with windows 7. Before I purchase the laptop I'd like to know if it will work.

There is no reason why it shouldn't. It is all pure LabVIEW code that uses VISA functions to communicate with the serial port. If your LabVIEW can run on Win7, then so should the modbus llb drivers.

Not officially. It's not officially compatible with Vista. Best thing to say is to try it. There have been many posts of people getting it to work.

if it is the iPod 1st Gen (2001-2002), then it run only on Mac OS 9 and 10, will not run on any Windows machine.
If it is a iPod Classic Rev 1 (generally known as 6th Gen, circa 2008), then it runs on both Mac OS X and Windows XP or later machine.

So older versions of iTunes will not read new iOS updates, but the latest version of iTunes can read lower iOSs.

Digivox micro HD problem with Windows7

Hi,
After succesefull installation of driver and ArcMedia software I could see atached device, but no available channels it could found. I used coaxial cable (have a Cable TV). Then I've tried with Media Center on my Windows7, and I couldn't configure it properly, because it couldn't download some settings for my zone. After that action my pc doesn't even recognize tv tuner. The first question is do I need Media Center for watching TV if I already have ArcMedia software? And the second one, why my pc doesn't recognize DigiVox tv tuner, and is it compatible with Windows7?

Yeh I've just tried using a signal booster but still no luck.
Tried moving the aerial around but it still doesn't receive them.
The aerial signal receives a perfect signal for the freeview box so I don't think it is the signal that is at fault.

Load airport utility for windows.. which will also load bonjour for windows.
In windows explorer type \\TCname or \\TCipaddress (replacing with the actual values.. names with spaces will give you trouble so change all names in the TC to SMB compatible or actual ip address).

I am developing on 64-bit Windows7 Enterprise using VisualStudio 2013. I created a new Windows desktop VB.net application and just created a release build of the default solution/project targeting "Any CPU". I provided the EXE to a
colleague who is also running 64-bit Windows7 Enterprise but receives the following error...
"The version of this file is not compatible with the version of Windows you're running. Check your computer's system information to see
whether you need an x86 (32-bit) or x64 (64-bit) version of the program, and then contact the software publisher."
I changed the build configuration to create a "x86" build but my colleague received the same error. Any ideas why this would be happening (I checked and my colleague has .Net4 Framework installed as well)? Thank you for your time and

According to your description, you'd like to run the application in your colleague's computer.
I provided the EXE to a colleague who is also running 64-bit Windows7 Enterprise but receives the following error...
If you want to test the application, you could provide the whole Debug folder to colleague instead of the single exe.
"The version of this file is not compatible with the version of Windows you're running. Check your computer's system information to see whether you need an x86 (32-bit) or x64 (64-bit) version of the program, and then contact the software publisher."
Check if the collegue's computer is running 64-bit windows:
Enter Control Panel, click on System and Security.
Under this, you can view the system type. This will describe whether you have 32-bit or 64-bit.
You can also try compatiblity mode.
If the program is not compatible, then you may try to install and run the program in compatibility mode.
Use the following steps:
1)   Right click on the Program
2)   Click on Properties
3)   Click on Compatibility tab
4)   Select Run this program in compatibility mode and select Windows Vista or whatever operating system the program was running successfully.
And if you still have questions, I suggest you deploy the application to the Local Network with clickOnce, then your collegue can install the application from the network.

And also, you could recreate a new small application in your computer in Any CPU, then check if this small new application can work well in your colleague's computer. This can judge if the problem is caused by your application.

For the most part everything should be fine. With that I will warn you against an upgrade installation.
Do a clean install and then reinstall you apps.

My version of Macromedia Flash ActiveX Control isn't compatible with my version of Windows

I am trying to use a new copy of Camtasia Studio 3, and I keep gettiong the error message that my version of Macromedia Flash ActiveX Control isn't compatible with my version of Windows and that I should ocntact Adobe for support. So here I am.
I am running Windows7 64bit, and it's a brand new computer so I know that there aren't tons of legacy installations or Flash players on it. This page http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/find-version-flash-player.html tells me that I have Flash Player version 11.4.31.110 installed but that I should have 11.4.402.287 installed. But I have installed the latest Flash player from the Adobe site (twice!) and it never gives me an option for 11.4.31.110 vs 11.4.402.287.
I am using Chrome and Flash is working fine in my browser: It's only Camtasia that isn't working well.

Hm, I assume you mean Camtasia Studio 8?
Check the chart on the page you linked. You'll see that the version you have installed is in fact the latest version for Chrome. They haven't updated it beyond that. Each browser engine has its own latest version of flash. IE and Mozilla are 11.4.402.287.
Aside that, there's no reason Camtasia should be requiring you to have that version of flash. Make sure when you're publishing your content that you don't check off any options to "require the user to have the latest version of Flash". You should also (if possible in your project) try to target MP4/HTML5. Check any HTML being generated with it (hopefully using SWFObject) and check for the version checking code. There is absolutely nothing Camtasia needs to require the latest version to do. I've been using Camtasia (TechSmith codec mostly) for screen recording since version 2.

Using the new Nikon Transfer and It is not Compatible with PS6

I looking for a plug-in for PS6 specifically compatible with Camera RAW and Vista. I am using the new Nikon Transfer "ViewNX2" and PSC6 will not open camera raw without a plug in. Nikon4 isn't the complete name of the nikon camera model you have, is it?
It would be something like D4 or D40 or......?

Nimodbus.llb vs modbus IO Server in project?

I am plan on creating 20+ Modbus TCP Masters on a CRIO and wanted to know if there is any real benefit to using the nimodbus.llb versus creating a modbus master through the project? I want to poll 20+ devices and consolidate the data on a modbus tcp slave on the CRIO. I plan on polling the devices every 500 or 1000 ms. Will there be noticeable performance boost if I use the nimodbus.llb? I personally would like to create the Modbus masters through the project cause its cleaner and easier but I was not sure if performance would be an issue with that many masters running on a CRIO.

I would use the Modbus I/O server built into DSC. I believe that you will see a noticable performance difference, but the only way to know for sure is to benchmark it. I don't see any issues with having that many modbus master but have not tried it to know for sure. Please post back and let us know how it goes.
