Is not recognized by the server
A lot of my emails are stored in my outbox due to an error message saying "the server does not recognize the name [email protected]"
Even though it's my address and it is the address I'm sending from. It's also happening with other email addresses I send things to everyday and I know the addresses are correct. What gives?

I Am having the same issue with e mails not going and sitting in he out box with the " the server does not recognise the e mail address. I know the e mail address is correct - I have se up the outgoing server info exactly the same as it is on my iphone and it will not send from my IPad tHis is the case om
on either my home or work wifi networks - different providers and when I am using my phone as a mini hot spot when not connected to WIFI. Can any one help me - feeling like I just wasted a load of cash if I can't send e mails from iPadiPad

My messages get lost in an eternal loop in my out box and it says that my iCloud me accounts are not recognized by the server. I can send 1 or 2 out of 10.

I deployed a Mountain Lion Server with the calendar service active. Every time a user tries to share a calendar they have created under thier account to an external person using thier email address, the server gives the following error: "At least one sharee was not recognized by the server. New invitations have not been sent."
Invites to share a calendar to OD accounts on the server seem to work fine.
I have a calendar specific email address for external invites set up. The server seems to send individual event invites to external email addresses just fine, so I am thinking the email is working. Email is not served on the Mountain Lion Server. The account is through Google Apps using IMAP and SMTP.
What's even stranger, is that there doesn't seem to be any message in the Calendar error logs.
I've tried creating a new test account and no luck.
I don't know what else to try.

When I try to send an email with photo attachment on my iPad a screen appears which states " the sender is not recognized by the server" . What do I have to change so I can always send emails fr om my iPad with or without attachments. I am a novice!!!!!!
If you purchased about 2 years ago new I am sure it is a Intel iMac. To find out what type of iMac you have just click on the Apple menu item in the finder and select about this Mac. I would check the ISP mail site and get the correct outgoing mail server info.

I am running Mac 10.6.7 and iCal 4.0.4. I have an 2010 Exchange account configured in iCal ,and Mac Mail, it has been running fine for over a year now. Recently i have been getting an iCal which says
"Calandar entry name" had invitees not recognized by the server.
You entered an invitee that wasn't recognized by the server
Fix later Edit Event
If i click Fix Later the error pops up again in a few minutes.
If i click Edit Event it takes me to a specific week in the past but it doesn't open a calendar entry to be editied
I have Deleted and re-created the iCal account but i still get the error message
I have deleted, through an Outlook calendar, the calendar entry with the correct name in the week that i am taken to but i still get the error message
I get the following error message in Console

This is getting so irratating that i am considering using Mac Office Outlook. Can anyone help please.I am still having this problem even with Mountain Lion. It gets pretty serious because the consequence is that somehow many copies of the same meeting invitation email is generated and stored on the draft folder of my exchange server. Seems it becomes more of a problem when more than one of my Mac's are online and seems to only happen to events that are created by my delegate. The message pops up the moment I click "close" on the reminder of the event and then this crazy message about invitee not recognized by the server pops up (and drafts of the invitation from myself to myself appears in the draft folder).
Someone else out there must be experiencing this as well, anyone know of a solution?

I have setup Sharepoint 2013 standalone on Windows 2012 server. I am developing an app that will make use of social apis of sharepoint 2013. Out of the box installation didnt have Distributed Cache Service running and I am not sure if its needed to be run
in order to make social apis working on the server. Anyhow, since distributed cache service was showing up as Stopped and I could not restart it, I have deleted the distributed cache service and when I retry to re-add it by entering Add-SPDistributedCacheServiceInstance
command on powershell, I get the following error,

UsmanThe issue is because your PowerShell console has not loaded the appropriate SharePoint DLL
in order to call the API. To resolve this, you can open the SharePoint 2010 Management Shell to execute the script or add the assembly manually before running the script.

I bought a new imac running Loin with Office 2011. I am the only mac in the office and the Server we use to access emails runs exchange 2003 and my IT person says the imac is not compatible with the server. The server does not want to let me access using any email software other than webmail access through our website. It looks as though 2011 is not compatible with 2003 per some searches online, but what are some options I have to gain full access again? I purchased parallels in hopes that this my help and I am able to use remote desktop connection to log on to server but can not drag and drop files I need. There is a shared drive on that Server we all use to exchange files.
The two main issues are gaining access to my email again and ability to drag and drop files from mac to pc. I hope this is enough info to get some solutions.
PS - IT person says my iMac's IP is what his server does not understand so that is why I can not login.Office 2011 is not compatbile with Exchange 2003.

If this is happening on an UPSTREAM server it is because you have approved updates that are no longer available from Microsoft. Almost always this involves approvals of *EXPIRED* updates (which have been pulled from the catalog and cannot be downloaded).
If this is happening on a DOWNSTREAM server it's because something/someone deleted the files from the upstream server. It can also happen if the entire upstream ~\WSUSContent folder has gone amuk.
For an upstream server, find the expired updates, remove the approvals, cancel the downloads, and then decline the updates.
For a downstream server, figure out what the affected updates are and fix the upstream server.

After reviewing your post, I have located an article that can help in this situation. It contains a number of troubleshooting steps and helpful advice concerning network issues:
iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
Follow these steps to troubleshoot the above issues:
Be sure you're in range of your Wi-Fi router (access point).
Tap Settings > Wi-Fi and turn Wi-Fi off and on. If your Wi-Fi setting is dimmed, follow these steps.
Confirm that your Wi-Fi router and cable or DSL modem are connected to power, turned on, and connected to the Internet. If not, refer to your network administrator or Internet service provider (ISP) for assistance.
Restart your iOS device.
Tap Settings > Wi-Fi and locate the Wi-Fi network to which you're connected.
Tap and Forget this Network.
Try to connect to your desired Wi-Fi network.
Note: You may need to enter your Wi-Fi password again if your network requires one.
Turn your Wi-Fi router off and on2. If your ISP also provides cable or phone service, check with them before attempting this step to avoid interruption of service.
Update your device to the latest version of software.
Update your Wi-Fi router to the latest firmware2. For AirPort Base Stations, install updates using the AirPort Utility.

Since 29/10/2012 my iphone 4s and more recently my ipad 3 will not connect to the server when trying to access my email account. All I get is an error message saying that 'cannot get mail, connection to the server failed' I hadnt changed any settings it just happened. I have since done a complete re-boot on the ipad but to no avail. Anybody got any suggestions?
No. Everything was working fine and then it wasn't. I hadn't changed any settings or switched either one off. When the phone stopped working properly I ignored it because I always have my ipad with me but that just sopped working properly and now I am stuffed. I have tried most solutions suggested on here even wiping the ipad clean and re-booting. I did this exactly the same way as when I first got it but still no joy. The same with the phone.

I have an Ipad 2 and are having problems sending out emails in one of my email address. This is a POP3 email Account? I always get a message reading that the email was not sent because the server does not allow relaying. I have no such problem with gmail. What could be the problem and how do I resolve this. If you are unable to remember your password, security questions, don’t have access to your rescue address or are unable to reset your password for whatever reason, your only option is to contact Apple ID Support, upon speaking to an operator you should explain that your problem is related to your Apple ID, this way you will not be charged for assistance, even if you don’t have an AppleCare plan.
The operator will take you through some steps you may have already tried, however they need to be sure they have exhausted all usual approaches before trying to reset your account, so you should try to be helpful and show patience with the procedure.
The operator will need to verify they are speaking to the account holder and may ask you some questions that only the account holder could know, and you will need to answer them if the process is to proceed.
Once the operator has verified your identity they will send a message through to your device which contains an alpha numeric code, which you will need to read back to them.
Once this has been completed they will send an email to your iCloud email address after a period of 24 hours, so you should check that mail is enabled in your devices iCloud settings.
Upon receipt of the email, use the reset link provided to reset your password, after which you should be able to make the adjustments to iCloud that you wish to do.
