Is nvidia geforce gtx 675mx card compatible with fcpx

Is the Nvidia geforce gtx 675mx comes with the new iMac 27" compatible with fcpx?
I could not find it on Apple's list of cards required or fcpx

It should be.
I have only heard about issues with the 640mx card..
But FCPX uses OpebCL and other system API's to use the GPU, so if someting is not working, it should be the OS having issues..

  • Does the NVIDIA GeForce GTX Titan X work with the newest AE CC version?

    Hello
I would like to know if I can use the GeForce GTX Titan X for the newest AE CC version? On the system requirements Page (2014) for ray-traced 3D renderer, the GTX Titan is mentioned, but not the Titan X. Is the Titan X also working? Who can help me.
I would like to run it on a HP z640 (Windows) Computer.
    THX for all the help.
    Tom

Sorry for my earlier typo. I meant the Porsche 918 Spyder.
To determine when to use the Titan X, use a rough rule of thumb like this formula:
    MIN (N, 1.5) x (physical cores/CPU) x (clock speed), where N is the number of CPU's.
    Your example with dual E5-2643v3 results in: 1.5 x 6 x 3.4 = 30.6
    With dual E5-2697v3, the result is: 1.5 x 14 x 2.6 = 54.6
    WIth a single i7-5960, overclocked to 4.5, the result is: 1 x 8 x 4.5 = 36
When the result is < 40, it is highly doubtful the Titan X can be used to full potential, when the result is between 40 - 50, it may occasionally be used to full potential, when the result is > 50, it is very likely to be a very good choice.
This statement assumes that memory is at least 64 GB and the disk setup is very fast on all volumes with transfer rates in excess of 800 MB/s.

  • The video card Asus GeForce GTX 650 and GeForce GTX 750 are compatible with After Effects CC? An apology for my English.

I will buy one of the two, but I urge confirm if any of them will help me with Newest After Effects CC. Thank you very much.

This page lists the technical specifications for After Effects.
After Effects doesn't really use the GPU for much besides the obsolete ray-traced renderer (see here), so either one should be fine. Some third-party effects, such as Element 3d from VideoCopilot, make use of the GPU, but their requirements are different from AE's and if you plan to use them, you should check their requirements before you purchase.

  • Installed Nvidia GeForce GTX 285 card and am unable to open PSCS5.

After install with current drives for card PS will not open. I cannot get to preferences to chg. GTU which is checked to unchecked to see if this is the prob. Have ??? Nvidia - no help there as they refer back to Adobe. Checked Adobe Support but no help there that I could find. The Raedon card that I ordered with the MacPro worked fine but needed additional speed in rendering as I work on very lg files. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Let me know what additional info from me is needed. (All Master Suite apps open except PS and InDesign.) Thank you.

PS stopped at the very beginning of opening- no pref.,etc were read and the spinning ball continued until I force quit PS. After reading another discussion- "Photoshop Crashes" the response from c.pfaffenbichler held the key to getting PS to open. For now all is as it should be. I reset some of the pref. and have not run into any problems. I have not worked on the InDesign prob. but if cannot get it resolved will go to the correct forum for help. Thank you.

  • Gt70 - Nvidia GeForce GTX 675MX - not in device manager?

My Nvidia gfx card seems to be gone entirely. I did uninstall the nvidia drivers at some point, but now it's gone from the device manager as well (see image)? Because of that I can't install the NVidia drivers (let alone the nvidia control panel)
I'm kind of in the dark here? Is it windows 8.1 misbehaving? Is it a faulty gfx card? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I had this issue back in February where it started out with a VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE blue screen then when I restarted my video card was gone from my device manager followed by loud noises coming from where the video card was, like almost as if my fans were going full blast. I have the same model as you, after 24 hours of having the laptop completely off because I was scared of the fans overheating. I turned it back on and the video card magically re-appeared again. But when I tried to play a game it would crash giving me a strange error.
I seriously think Windows 8.1 is misbehaving cause a lot of people who have this same model and video card are getting blue screens like crazy. I got so tired of Windows 8.1 that I down graded to Windows 7, I hope to God that it fixed my issue.

  • Nvidia GeForce GTX 970 with The Witcher 3 & Batman Arkham Knight

I just bought the reference card Nvidia GeForce GTX 970 card in store a couple of hours ago and I only received Batman steam code as part of the bundle. I was under the impression that I received a gog.com code for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt as part of the promotion that is going on for the month of March? If Best Buy is only including Batman I'll probably just return it and buy somewhere else.

    Hello Timdb89,
The GeForce GTX 970 is a great graphics card!  It will be really nice to play Batman: Arkham Knight (Amped about its release).
These are two separate promotions.  The Witcher: Wild Hunt promotion ended on 05/02/2015 and the Batman: Arkham Knight started on 05/10/2015.  If you purchased the card yesterday (05/14/2015), then you'd only receive Batman: Arkham Knight.
I’m really hoping that you don't return the item.  We truly do value your purchase.

  • AME CS5.5 Hanging at 75% & Drive Update for NVIDIA GeForce GTX-470

    Hello,
I am having problems with AME CS5.5 hanging as well.  I was wondering if somone from Adobe can tell me if the latest Driver upgrade for my NVIDIA GeForce GTX 470 card of 285.62 is safe/recomended for Adobe CS5.5 Premiere/AME/Encore/After Effects programs.  I do not want to cause any additional issues with my Adobe related issues.  My present driver is 280.26...Thanks, Steve

I installed the update after creating a restore point.
I guess it's safe, but the behavior is the same.  I still have the hanging issue.
I hope that this bug gets fixed soon.,

Will  card nVidia geforce GTx 760 work with premiere pro?

Yes, the GTX 760 will work nicely with Premiere on the PC. What version? With CS6, you may need to delete the "cuda_supported_cards.txt" file from the Adobe folder.

  • Is NVIDIA GeForce 6600 card compatible with OpenGL 2.0?

    Hi there -
Is my GeForce 6600 card compatible with openGL 2.0?
I have some software that tells me it is not and I've just spent lots of money buying it - I did make a quick check on-line before making my software purchase and found out that the whole 6000 series was compatible.
Reading again it says it has been OK for 2.1 from June 2006 onwards. I bought my Mac in May 2006
Can I install a new driver or something (almost sounds like I know what I'm talking about)?
If so is this something I can do or do I have to take my whole machine to the hospital?
I'm not that confident messing with too much technical stuff so treat me like an idiot ... please!
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Regards - Deano

    Hi-
    Back from work......
BD has you going the right direction on RAM.
CS4 needs as much RAM as you can throw at it.
Buy only guaranteed Mac compatible RAM.
As for hard drive, getting a TB or so for storage is great, but you also need a fast scratch drive, separate from the system drive.
Improvements to hard drive technology have been made since the G5 was released, so replacing the system drive with a new one is a good idea.
For the fastest system drive, which helps overall performance, the Western Digital Velociraptor 300GB is an ideal candidate.
For more of a budget drive, but still fast, a WD6400AAKS 640GB drive is an overall winner, with fast read and write times, and all that capacity confined to two platters in the drive.
This is one of the keys to the drives performance prowess.
For scratch, you will have large files that are written, changed, erased, as filters, etc. are applied.
PS gobbles drive space even more than it eats RAM.
Again, the WD6400AAKS, or a WD1001FALS 1TB drive is what you should look at.
And when we talk scratch drives, I mean that it does nothing else.
    Not for file storage, etc.
File storage needs to be relegated to a third drive for system optimization.
To recap, a fast boot drive (OS and applications only), a scratch drive, and as many file storage drives as you need for multiple copies (min 2) of all work.
As for graphics card, yes there is improvement to be had, especially with regard to OpenGL support in CS4.
PS also leverages the GPU of the graphics card, so power is desired.
A Mac 7800GT, Radeon X1900 G5 Edition, or a flashed Geforce 7800GTX are the three top performing cards.
A Geforce FX4500 is also a possible candidate if your pockets are very deep.

Of the three cards, the 7800GTX is the top card, and is relatively easy to find. The 512MB version is the most desirable.
You will be looking on eBay for Mac compatible PCIe graphics cards in one of the flavors that I have named.

  • Is GeForce GTX 675MX compatible to MSI GT-70?

    Hello folks,
Last year I bought my son a MSI GT70 when we traveled to Canada.
Unfortunately, duo to a lightning bolt issue his computer is not working anymore. We went to the technnical assistance here in Brazil and they told us that the video card was burned out and needs to be replaced.
It's been very hard to find the exactly same model (GeForce GTX 675M) so I found a very similar one (GeForce GTX 675MX).
Is GeForce GTX 675MX compatible with his computer?
Do you folks suggest any other video card?
ps: I do not know what motherbord he has so i took a picture of his computer and I hope it helps.

    Thank you all.

I'm a bit worried that even if you get a new gpu for the thing it still wont work. If the GPU died from a lightning bolt it's very likely that other components died too. Not to discredit the tech who actually looked at the device though. Now I don't have a lot of experience with laptops, but the 670m that comes with that laptop is PCIe 2.0 and so is the 675m. Again though, I don't have much experience with laptops so I don't know if both using the same bus means they will both work in the laptop. I don't know if the PCIe 2.0 bus support means they share a mobile PCIe connector or if it's just a way to compare the bus speeds with desktop computers. Calling MSI support or going to the above forum are your best choices.
*EDIT* Though I will mention that the first image you posted has a sticker that says gtx 675m so I'm assuming it is compatible.

  • Reg: Upgrading my graphics card to NVIDIA geforce GTX 760/780

    Hi,
I am working with a Dell Precision work station 690 which currently uses a NVIDIA QUADRO FX 3450.. I want to upgrade this to a high end graphics card mostly NVIDIA Geforce GTX 760/780.. However , when I read the Specs for Dell Precision work station 690, it is mentioned that is support memory only till 512.. Are high end graphics card compatible with my PC? Will there be any power issues? I have an extra 6 pin cord from PSU on my PC.
    --Thanks ,
    Rama

Check if your chosen video card requires UEFI.
The GeForce GTX 960 failed in my Precision 690.
Windows 8.1 Pro 64 bit would not boot with this card.
I believe the issue is that this card requires a motherboard with UEFI which the 690 does not have.
Other posts report that the GeForce 750 Ti fails also because of lack of UEFI.
I found this site on Dell which says that the Radeon R9 280X will work in a 690:
     http://accessories.dell.com/sna/productdetail.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=gen&sku=a7272920
Note in the above URL  the requirement for a 1000W power supply. Some video cards require two (2) 6-pin or one (1) 6-pin and one (1) 8-pin connector from the power supply.
    Hope this helps.
