Is OMF now fixed in 7.1.1?

This new update, has anyone had a chance to test it with OMF files? I see in the fix list that OMF import has been improved. My PowerBook is in for repair (faulty screen), so I can't test this myself. The problem I was having, and maybe it is completely unrelated, was that the in/out points of the OMF file I tried to import from Avid would be wrong. The clips were correct, but not the in/out points. The file was around 15 minutes long.

OMF has been working in 7.1, but since logic implemented it, you need to make sure that start of the song corresponded in TC with the start of the project it was exported from. ie song start has to be 10:00:00:00.

Hello - can someone help me please - I am not really well versed in modern electronics
So, as I mentioned in my heading which is rather long (sorry lol) I have had a bad computer virus, now fixed, which has lost me a lot of information. This includes the content of ,my iTunes Library and my ability to access it.
So, can someone help me by telling me how I can gethte music currently in my iPhone back in to the Music Library in my new version of iTunes. Aslo hiow do I now get Album Artwork in to iTunes as well - iI recall that it was really easy when I set it up but this new version is causing me all sorts of heartache when I tried just now - hence my plea for help.

iDevices are not backup devices.
Use the backup of the computer to put the content back on the computer.
If not backup exists and the content was purchased via iTunes, connect the device and select File > Transfer purchases. This will not restore playlists, playcounts or any other library specific data.
If the media was not purchased via iTunes, search google for ways to extract it from the iPhone.
Whatever you do, going forward make sure you back up your media and other important files regularly.

My understanding of the relationship between Firefox and the plug-ins / add-ons in minimal so I don't know where the problem lies.

I wanted to start a new thread to clarify the fix to Compilations included with Firmware 1.0.2.
So, is it agreed that the Compilations sorting problem is now fixed with the new Firmware 1.0.2 if you go into Settings>Music Menu and then check the "Compilations" item? Or do you have to go into Settings>Main Menu and check "Compilations?" Or does it not matter which one you check on?
Please list your experiences with Compilations after selecting "Compilations" to be checked in the settings menus, and where exactly you have to check it on.

Compilations work if you enable the Compilations item on either menu.
It doesn't have to be both or one over the other.

IOS 6 upgrade now fixed

My problems with upgrading to ios 6 now fixed. I had to restore to original specs 4 times, it worked in the end, all previous apps/ media returned, thank god.

Media Center/Catalog/Get It Now fixed?

In the "Error Cannot retrieve catalog..." thread, MikeS1_VZW wrote that this has been fixed. I sent him a PM a few days ago asking about this because our local corporate Verizon store didn't know anything about it (no response as yet). Actually, had there been a technician there (as I thought there always was), that might have helped, but they seemed to be short-handed on technicians.
So, if this is in fact fixed, would someone mind publishing here the steps that your Corporate stores need to know so that I can bring them with me when I go in case there isn't a technician available again. Or does a technician have to be involved?

I didn't get your PM, but I replied with this response on the other thread to help talk to the representatives at the store.
I’m very sorry if some stores were unable to help with restoring the Get It Now access. This is a very new process, and hasn’t been done before. That being said, there is a specific file path to instructions on how to do this. I cannot post the steps themselves because they are confidential, but I can describe how to view them. Make sure this is being done by a technician in the store or someone who is able to flash phones. This must be done in a Corporate Store.
Here’s the file path:
Infomanager> Products/Svcs> Get It Now>MediaCenter(Formerly Get It Now)> In the processes section click “Restoring Access to the Media Store.” Once here, under option 3, choose Instructions for Recovery. This will open up a PDF file with screenshots and instructions.
Additional path: Type “Restoring Access to the Media Store” in the Infomanager search box. It’s the first article result. Once here, under option 3, choose Instructions for Recovery. This will open up a PDF file with screenshots and instructions.
Note: In the Restoring Access to the Media Store article there is a hyperlink (like a hyperlink to the instructions) at the top that says "certain Brew devices" that will show the list of devices that this will work on. Hey... I hope Jim Bailey sees this post because I sure would like to know how you're getting your printer and Dayna to work. I have almost the identicle set up: LaserWriter Select 360f with the mini Dayna and I can't get ANY of my OS X Macs to see the printer... wireless OR wired!
I'm trouble shooting from one of my work horses, an upgraded B&W/G4 right now running OS X.4.6 and I can't for the life of me get it to see the LaserWriter. I've also tried an AsanteTalk device (localtalk -->ethernet) device and that came up NADA, too!
Since I'm trying to work via wired ethernet right now - I don't think the issue is with the firmware version of the card. HEY JIM - any ideas? How did you get yours to work???

Daylight savings time and iPhone 4 alarm bug NOW FIXED???

OK this morning i turned on my alarm and put it 1h ahead (the alarm is on repeat for the rest of the week) so the alarm goes off at the right time cos of the alarm bug.
but this morning my alarm was set at 6:45am and went off at 6:45am rather then 7:45am (if the bug was still present)
i have not changed my alarm and they are all repeat alarms. last week i fixed this problem by making my repeat alarm 1h ahead then normal.
i am now confused if this issue has been fixed.
Has this happened to anyone els?

I had been keeping an eye on this alarm bug but did not no thing changed on the 7th, guess i did not look hard enough.
would be nice is apple had a mailing list for these kinda things. so they can inform you of an error like this
well i am not in a rush for the 4.2 patch now sis the alarm is now working. they have now got like 5 odd months to fix this.

That did the trick for the carrier. Yesterday probably for the 1000 time I try to activate FACETIME @ arround 3:30 PM PST and it worked. I was more than happy.
I bought the iPhone 4 because I'm going to be a grandfather for the first time and my daughter lives in Sonoma County, CA. She has an AT&T iPhone 4 too, that is why I purchased mine in order for her Mom and Myself follow her pregnancy.
Yesterday the first thing I did was to FACETIME her from my Mexican TELCEL iPhone and it worked great.
I was very disappointed with the carrier, almost return the iPhone. But now, what can I say, I happy so I will be able to see my kid daughter full filling her dream.

MacBook Air blank screen, no start-up and three beeps - but now fixed?

Hi - My MacBook Air 2011 11in 64GB wouldn't start up for the last three days. It was working fine, then the screen went bonkers and I turned it off by holding down the power button. When I hit the power button again, there was no start-up, the screen stayed black and there were three beeps, short delay, three beeps again. I Googled and it seemed that it was a RAM problem, so I was planning this morning to take the machine to Dr Apple. But just to be sure there was still a problem, I tried starting it one last time and it started up as normal and seems to be working fine now.
Should I still get it checked out? I had been travelling and using it in some pretty hot temperatures when it died, and it's now back at home where it's cooler - could the problem have been something to do with the heat, do you think?
Don't want to use it if I'm making a problem that's there any worse. Much appreciate any advice. Thanks.

Before taking it, run Apple Hardware Test. If your Mac came with an USB drive, insert it and press D key while your Mac is starting. Then, run an extended test and check if it shows a problem.
If your Mac didn't come with an USB drive, press Option and D keys while your Mac is starting and run an extended test. If you see an error message, copy it here

I have had several iisues with my Apple ID accounts and spent many hours at the APPLE store in Richmond Va. getting them fixed. The technician was wonderful, patient and very knowlegeable, however he was not able to complete the task and said I needed to contact Apple support for the final step. During the process of fixing things I ended up with two APPLE ID accounts. my main accout is suelefriends (at) gmail (dot) com and the second account is "pra1949 (at) me (dot) com" I have most of my apps tied to the main account with only a few to the pra1949 account. I also have $25 worth of credit on the pra1949 account. Because of the two accounts it still makes updating apps very confusing and very cumbersome. I would like to have the two accounts merged so I end up with one account with all the money and APPS tied to it, that way I only need one password to update. I hope this is possible.

These are user-to-user forums, you are not talking to Apple here and they don't monitor these forums - I've asked the hosts to remove yout account ids from your post.
In terms of combining accounts it's not currently possible to do so, nor to copy/transfer content from account to another.

Same circuit design-different versions of multisim now fixed

remade circuit model 74LS244N, now pattern16t file works in different versions of multisim.
how much do you think pattern16t cicuit could be worth.
this circuit interfaces with gpib, scsi, usb computer interface circuits.
this is just the hardware. software still would have to be made for each computer.
basicly there are the computers with a different interface.

Hi there,
The application sounds interesting for interfacing instruments or devices with these buses. Of course, you have to take into consideration that there are off-the-shelf products that come with drivers, etc.
By the way, I really liked how you organized the schematic in Multisim with buses, etc.

Is the slow sync to iTunes problem now fixed (iTunes 9.2.x and iOS4x)?

Several people have commented running into a problem where they found syncing their iPhone to iTunes took a very, very long time (i.e. HOURS). This happened to me as well, and thankfully I found a solution online, though painful, which did fix the problem. Essentially, one had to delete all of the 3rd-party apps off their iPhone (thus losing all data associated with those apps), do a sync, and then add them back. Some people reported the need to add the apps back one at a time, where others indicated success adding them all back at once, but still they had to add the apps -- not merely do a restore -- else the problem would return. Of course, this also meant, depending on the app, having to manually re-add all the data where possible (i.e. you lose all your high games scores, etc.). This cured the problem for me. Some people speculated that this problem is created when one purchases some apps on their computer using iTunes (then syncs them to the iPhone) AND purchases other apps directly via their iPhone. I believe I also saw someone wonder if the problem arose when one purchases apps on the computer using iTunes, but then updates them to the latest versions directly on the iPhone. Regardless, does anyone have any update on this problem? Has it "gone away" entirely with the latest iTunes and iOS? Sometimes I'm away from my computer and I see an app I'd like to buy directly from my iPhone (or update an existing one), but I'm too paranoid to do so for fear of incurring that nasty problem again.
