Is Oracle 8i bundled with PTG

Oracle 8i and OAS or Apache JServ are one of the prerequisites for Oracle Portal-to-Go, are these bundled as part of the PTG package or has to be purchased/downloaded independently.

What Modules are bundled with Oracle 11.03 Financials?

I have a client that has 11.0.3 financials installed. They are only using GL, and AP. My question is, what modules were bundled with Oracle Financials in 1999. Do they license to the PO module? I know it was part of the FastForward Financials product. However, I can not find documentation for the standard product. Their license agreement on states Oracle Financials.

I believe that Procurement was not part of Financials, just AR, AR, FA, GL, and I think CE.

Can somebody confirm I do NOT need to apply 10.1.2.1 despite the

Warning</a> on the upgrade page. In other words that the Portal version bundled with ias 10.1.2.0.2 is 10.1.2.0.2 (and that OUI is wrong to claim otherwise).

I've upgraded yesterday night and all went well !
Except that the precheck detected that my repository db's aq_tm_processes was still unset.
I must have changed the current value only at install time (now it's also in the spfile).
 
The good thing is that you can run the upgrade script a second time and that it detects the already successfully executed steps.
So basically found the mrua its shrubbery ;-)

I found out that the db bundled with webcenter sites is HSQL. So, I performed the same steps using hsql jar but getting the below error:

Getting Socket creation error :( Can u pls help in connecting to hsql db? Probably my DB_URL is also wrong, not sure of the correct parameter. I have given :
jdbc:hsqldb:hsql://<host>:<port>
Also, 1 more surprising thing is that even though hsql db is working from webcenter sites explorer, in services, there is no hsql service visibile.

Might I suggest that you bundle (include) the LSI RDAC driver with the CD/DVD/public-yum.oracle.com repo site so as to provide the mpp driver support for those of us Oracle/Sun customers with a Sun 6000 series storage array without "Crystal" version 7.x firmware so that we can connect our Oracle Enterprise Linux system to the now Oracle 6000 Series Storage Arrays in a multipath failover configuration without having to compile them by hand. Additionally have the driver available in the kernel so that when we update the kernel we don't have to re-compile the mpp driver again and install it by hand (or at least provide an option to include the driver upon installation/upgrade).

ODM client not bundled with 11g client install?

All,
Our 10g Oracle Client install includes the Oracle Directory Manager.
We just installed the Administration version of the 11g client and I don't see ODM there.
Can someone verify that ODM is not bundled with the 11g client?
If it is bundled, how do I run it? The 11g Installer did not give me a menu item for it.

All mac's need internet access to send and receive the Apple Push Notifications. Even if the server is on the same network....
For those behind a firewall / proxy and not quite keen on letting clients have full access; all apple servers are on the 17.0.0.0/8 range.

OMW 10g bundled with 10g client

We have been using 9i version of OMW. Now we are trying to install 10g version, but it looks like it is not bundled with 10g. Is every one downloading the 10g version from OTN? or Am I not looking properly on the CD.

Failure Class not bundled with BDK Samples

Hi,
I'm trying to test the sample codes that are bundled with the BDK however jDeveloper shows me that the class Failure (com.oracle.beehive.rest.Failure) is missing.
I understand that these classes where generated by the JAXB script that we executed in the tutorial but it seems like that class is not being generated.
I found a guy with a similar problem: Re: beehive java_bdk examples did not compile so far he didn't got a response either

I currently don't have a 2.0.x environment. I will get back to you on this in the following days (hopefully by the end of the week).

Is the JMX based Application Server Control not bundled with EJB3

I don't see Application Server Control bundled with EJB3? Is it initentionally left out or just missed out. It is a easy way to manage AS through it. The AS is only available from 10.1.3 preview version, can I deploy the ASC onto EJB3 also?
If so, can you refer me to any document pointing to it?

Next week we will publish the next developer preview of OracleAS 10g (10.1.3) that is a full J2EE 1.4 container, EJB 3.0 and that will contains the OracleASC.

Recenly we have upgraded from Peoplesoft 7 to Peoplesoft 8.1.2
Peoplesoft 8.1.2 bundled with Peopletools(Web based front end ) for the first
time and Weblogic 5.1 sp6.
There is performance degradation of the weblogic 5.1 sp 6 (on Windows 2000 ) when
the no of users increases to 80. The Weblogic is becoming 100% CPU bound. Besides
the weblogic wont even shutdown completely when trying to shutdown.
Peoplesoft customer support advised to upgrade to Weblogic 5.1 sp 9 but sp 9 wont
support 128 bit encription which Peoplesoft 8.1.2 application need. Peoplesoft
8.1.3 will be supporting 128 bit encription after some 3 months. We have to get
along with the above mentioned configuration (Peoplesoft 8.1.2 with Weblogic 5.1
sp 9) in the mean time.
Any of you had such an experience ? Please let me know if there is a solution
or workaround.

There shouldn't be any reason that 5.1 SP9 wouldn't support 128 bit
encryption. If that's the issue, you should post in the security

I have tried different ways but didnt solved
In SQL Query, i kept mode as: FixedQueryOutput
Can anyone tell me or send code for calling above store procedure
And onemore thing, While creating store procedure in Oracle for MII. Do we need to Create output parameter as cursor or normal.

Our wrapper was created because we could not modify the procedure we call (it was not returning a cursor).

Calling Oracle Stored procedure with OUT parameter from ODI

Hi,
I called an oracle stored procedure with following anonymous block in the ODI procedure.

I want to capture the OUT parameter STATUS value in a project level variable.
And based on its va;lue I would like to choose between 2 interfaces in my package.
Please help me in doing this.

1) one step with:
create or replace package <%=odiRef.getSchemaName("W")%>.pck_var

2) step

3) then, at an ODI variable, use a refresh like:
select <%=odiRef.getSchemaName("W")%>.pck_var.Status from dual
at same logical shema where the package was created.
