Is Oracle Lite 9i Compatible with Pentium IV?

We developed a product which uses Oracle Lite 9i DB.
We couldn't install the product in Pentium IV Platform.
I would like to know whether Oracle 9i Lite is Compatible with Pentium IV.
Any suggestions/Informations are welcome!

I don't have first hand experience with 9i Lite on a PIV, but it runs fine on my Athlon XP desktop and my PIII laptop. I can't imagine that the PIV is actually the problem - what exactly did you encounter?

  • Is Flash Lite app compatible with MS Marketplace

Now that WM6.5 has been officially released, I am wondering if a Flash Lite app packaged by the Mobile Packager would pass the MS guidelines for applications to be listed on Marketplace. Have anyone tried it out yet?

    Hi,
MS terms for their marketplace are designed to control the use of other web runtimes, including Flash.  They state that only Windows managed code will be accepted, which rules out our binaries.
You may want to look at developer.open-plug.com for their ELIPS tool which produces nice applications using Adobe Flex tools.

  • Latest Oracle db ver. that Oracle Forms ver 9.0.4.0.19 is compatible with.

We are currently using Oracle forms 9i, our Oracle App Server version is 10.1.2.3 and currently our database version is 10.1.04.
We are thinking to upgrade to Oracle database version 11.1.x.x or 11.2.x.x.
So my question is what is the latest Oracle database version that our version of Oracle Forms is compatible with?
Here is the information from forms builder:
Forms [32 Bit] Version 9.0.4.0.19 (Production)
Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.1.0.4.0 - 64bit Production
With the Partitioning, OLAP and Data Mining options
    Oracle Toolkit Version 9.0.4.0.31 (Production)
    PL/SQL Version 9.0.1.5.1 (Production)
Oracle Procedure Builder V9.0.3.5.0 Build #1641 - Production
    PL/SQL Editor (c) WinMain Software (www.winmain.com), v1.0 (Production)
Oracle Query Builder 9.0.4.0.6 - Production
Oracle Virtual Graphics System Version 9.0.1.11.0 (Production)
Oracle Tools GUI Utilities Version 9.0.4.0.11 (Production)
    Oracle Multimedia Version 9.0.4.0.11 (Production)
Oracle Tools Integration Version 9.0.4.0.0 (Production)
Oracle Tools Common Area Version 9.0.2.12.0
    Oracle CORE 9.0.1.5.1 Production
If this is not the correct place to post this question could anyone please redirect me to the correct place?
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Greg.

    Greg,
    There is some confusion here.
Forms and Reports are integrated into Application Server. So if you are running Application Server 10.1.2.3, you are also running Forms 10.1.2.3 (Forms is a sub-component of AS). If you are building your Forms application with an old Builder (e.g. 9.0.x), I would start by saying that this is not recommended. You should upgrade your Builder to the same version as your deployment environment, which you indicated as being 10.1.2.3. There are several reasons for this. In your case, one main reason is that the database versions supported with 9.0.4 are not the same as with 10.1.2. So, something that may fail during testing in your 9.x environment may work correctly in 10.1.2 or visa-versa.
That said, here is some info which may help:
AS (including Forms & Reports) 10.1.2.3 was certified with database versions up to and including 11.x
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/ias/files/as_certification_r2_101202.html
AS (including Forms & Reports) 9.0.4.0 was certified with database versions up to 10.1.x
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/ias/files/as-certification-904.html
Also be aware that the latest Application Server version is "Fusion Middleware 11g" - 11.1.1.2. This, like previous versions includes Forms/Reports of the same version.

  • Is 2nd Gen compatible with Win2000?

Just got a 2nd Gen shuffle as a gift. Before unpacking, noticed the package stated min op system req's is Win XP, and iTunes 7.4 or later. However, the online user manual states Win2000 w/ SP4 and iTunes 7.0.2 min reqt's.
Otehr notes...I am still operating on Win2000 Pro. On the iTunes v7.7 download page, I saw the link for Win2000 users (iTUNEs v7.3.2).
Due to conflict between user manual and the "box / specs", I am not sure if I can use the shuffle, or should I return? If use - do I go with iTunes v7.3.2 or would v7.7 work?

Yes Oracle 8i is compatible with Windows 2000. Please install the Oracle 8i edition for Windows NT on the Windows 2000 machine. It works very well. Also check for installation problems. Check the listener settings as well

    Hi Tim,
    Sorry for my english !
I'm developing a software solution for palmV. I use Oracle lite4.0 plateform with Iconnect Consolidator (Client/Server) architecture for the replication and a Web-to-go listener for the HTTP transport between the Palm and the Database Server Oracle8.1.5. After, i will use Web-to-go for deploying the application for several clients.

  • JDeveloper 10G (BPEL Designer): how to create db connection to Oracle Lite

I want to create a JDeveloper database connection to the Oracle Lite database installed with JDeveloper 10G BPEL Designer, but haven't been able to find any info on the subject.
Can anyone point me to some info or walk me through it?
    Regards

To connect JDeveloper 10g to an Oracle Lite database, you will need to follow this setup.
    1. Create an ODBC entry for the Oracle Lite database. If you have installed Oracle Lite 10g Mobile Development Kit, you should have a copy of POLITE.ODB pre-installed. Check your ODBC.ini, or run Administrative Tools > Data Sources (ODBC), and follow the polite entry pattern. If you create a new Oracle Lite database, you must create a matching enrty in the ODBC configuration file.
    2. In JDeveloper, create a new connection for your Oracle Lite database.
The Connection Name should match your entry in ODBC for ease of reading.
The Connection Type should be Oracle Lite.
    The Username is system.
    The Password is xxx.
The Deploy Password box is checked.
The Datasource Name must match the ODBC entry exactly.
Leave the rest of the fields as is.
    Test your new connection.
    Enjoy.

  • Oracle Lite for Windows CE H/PC

I have one question about Oracle Lite for Windows CE on Handheld/PC.
Which version of Oracle Lite for Windows CE supports Java stored procedures and

Does such version of Oracle Lite for Windows CE which supports JDBC

  • Hibernate and Oracle Lite 10g

Has anyone been able to get Oracle Lite 10g working with Hibernate?

What problems are you having? You are using Webtogo OC4J right?
It has been a while since I worked with Hibernate and in theory, it should work with any relational database. Since Oracle Lite closely resembles Oracle, I can't see an issue with the database, just the container that it is running in.
    <property name="connection.driver_class">oracle.lite.web.WTGJdbcDriver</property>
    <property name="connection.url">jdbc:oracle:webtogo</property>

  • JDeveloper and Oracle Lite

Now that I adjusted the jdeveloper.ini file to include d:\oracle\home0\lite\classes\Olite40.jar after the last entry in IDEClassspath, the error message switched from "can't find oracle.lite.poljdbc.POLJDBCDriver" to "no oljdbc40 in java.library.path". I am using Oracle 8i lite version 4.0.1.0. What am I misssing? Thank you in addvance for the reply.

Try also adding the path to oljdbc40 the SLP and JLP settings in the jdeveloper.ini file.
The following is from the 3.1 Release Notes:
    JDK 1.2/1.3 and Native Code
If you are using the Oracle JDBC/OCI or Oracle Lite JDBC Driver with JDeveloper (JDK 1.2/1.3) add the %ORACLE_HOME%/bin directory to java.library.path and
sun.boot.library.path in bin/jdeveloper.ini. It should look like this:
    [Java_2]
    JDK=java version "JDK1.2.2_JDeveloper"
    Java2VM=OJVM
    JLP=-Djava.library.path=.;%JAVA_ROOT%\bin;%JAVA_ROOT%\jre\bin;C:\ORANT\BIN
    SLP=-Dsun.boot.library.path=.;%JAVA_ROOT%\bin;%JAVA_ROOT%\jre\bin;C:\ORANT\BIN
If you are executing applications which use the JNI to call native libraries (DLL files) under JDeveloper with JDK 1.2/1.3 it is necessary to edit your project properties. Add to the
Java VM Parameters, under the Run/Debug tab the following setting: -Djava.library.path=(Path where DLL files are located)".
