Is p03 smtp the correct and current iCloud server with osx 10.9.2 ? having problems and seems very slow
I have only seen it inrelation to a pc....I dont have outlook or a pc and this is the only connection my mac found for icloud that finally did work, if slow....but is it right? all my mail is landing in my archive folder . I cant figure out how on earth that happened. Any helpful insights from you "Wise" guys or girls ? I need some!

I think I had it on the iCloud, I just changed computers and had part of my old computer backed up, where are the default iTunes info saved like the pictures and I know my contacts were backed up cuz I kept getting updated stuff that I wasn't sure about, but it was contacts where some belonged to my wife's contacts....but anyway, if the cloud backed up contacts, it should have grabbed pictures too? Like I asked before, if they were backed up to the computer, is there a default iTunes folder they are saved to? I had a crap load of pictures on there that I usually could really access if I was connected to wi-fi. I turned off my data stuff as I only have 4GB and between me and my 2 kids, we seemed to use up a lot of it. My son would play music from Pandora during work, and use up all our data til I limited him to only 3GB, my daughter and I barely used 1GB. Anyway, thanks to everybody that is answering. I thought I might have done good finding the dang sim card, but pointless I guess.

Sorry guys, I don't know a **** of a lot about cell phones, but I do know about memory cards, but not sim cards that act like memory cards or look like them anyway. Browser is so slow and in looking at 3 different iPhones I have noticed there is a serious wait for any simple page to come up like MSN maybe its the iOS maybe Safari maybe should reset daily. Truly not impressed Apple can you here us now? Probably not... to busy restarting or resetting.

If you have CC you can go to preferences>Experimental features and select scale UI 200%. Otherwise you're out of luck.

3 year old iMac 24 running OS 10.7.4. After it has been on for a day or so, it stops going to sleep and becomes very slow. This only happens when Safari is running. Quitting Safari solves the problem. Has anyone else have the same problem? Does not happen on MacBookpro only on iMac.

Open Activity Monitor in Applications>Utilities, select All Processes & sort on CPU%, any indications there?
How much RAM & free space do you have also, click on the Memory & Disk Usage Tabs.
Open Console in Utilities & see if there are any clues or repeating messages when this happens.
In the Memory tab, are there a lot of Pageouts? -
The program vectorworks 2008 (not 2009) does not work with the new operating system Mavericks, which is a disaster because it forces us to change the program, and is very expensive. Apple should fix this problem
Why should Apple fix the problem? Maybe you should consider NOT upgrading if an expensive piece of (obsolete) software you're running won't work with it...

Have numerous (Avery A4 page format) pages of labels with designed borders as background to add name/ subject (English - Mathematics etc)
"New" Pages only loads the names and seems to destroy all background border designs when page is opened.
The borders of each label show in thumbprint but when opened the border has gone. When the page is closed the borders no longer show in the thumbpint.
When earlier version of Pages is selected to open the labels it says latest version of Pages is needed!
What a mess up, it seems to be all too clever!!
Not happy!That is what the App Store reviews and ratings are for.
Let other potential "upgraders" know.
Meanwhile use Pages '09 which should still be in your Applications/iWork folder.

My ipad3 seems to have connection issues. It is wifi only but keeps losing the connection and is really slow in loading pages - a bit like dial-up speed! My iPhone 4s and daughters' ipad2 have no problems at all. Any ideas anyone?

Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

I get home after buying my ipad mini play with it for a bit then try to sync my songs, movies and photos on and it syncs fine. I then look back at the ipad and seem to find on the top right saying " not charging ". I read other forms and people also struggeling with the same problem. My computer dose'nt have enough power. There must be another way for me to get to charge my ipad mini from my computer. It works fine charging it in an outlet. any ideas??!
The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.

I bought this MAC from a family member. Did everything need to change items to my apple id. Today I did the update for IOS Yosemite now the app store is auto filling with someone else id?? But they seem to be my apps??
If you didn’t erase the drive and install using you AppleID, then the OS and the purchased apps are still registered to the other AppleID. You cannot change that by logging into iCloud. Apps are forever tied to the AppleID used to purchase/download them.
You have to erase the drive and download/install the Apps using your AppleID. -

Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Then click anywhere in the Terminal window and paste (command-V). The text you pasted should vanish immediately. If it doesn't, press the return key.
If you're logged in as an administrator, you'll be prompted for your login password. Nothing will be displayed when you type it. You will not see the usual dots in place of typed characters. Did you do a clean reinstall and deleted the Firefox program folder?

Try to boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test to see if that helps.
Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.
