Is Palm Desktop 6.2 compatible with 64-bit Windows 7 ?

Windows 7 has already been released.
Is the software Palm Desktop compatible with Windows 7?
If it isn't,will a new upgrade software be released to make it do so?
Thanks.
Post relates to: Palm TX

Hello leechiu2, Welcome to the Palm Support Community.
Palm has made no mention of suport for Windows 7 with it's legacy software.  We have heard from many users here that the 32bit version seems to work correctly with 6.2.2, and the 64bit version works similarly to Vista64 - only way to sync is via a wireless connection (BlueTooth or Wifi).
Palm does not release future upgrade plans, but it would be my guess that there will not be any upgrades for Win7...

  • Is RoboHelp compatible with 64-bit Windows 7?

I'm having a problem with RoboHelp/RoboSource (posted about elsewhere in the forum) and in response to a support query, I received a message stating that RoboHelp is not compatible with 64-bit Windows 7.
Quoting: "Please ensure that Windows 7 is not 64 bit, as RoboHelp is not compatible."
This seems to be in conflict with the blog posting by Ankur Jain, Product Manager - RoboHelp, (http://blogs.adobe.com/techcomm/2009/12/adobe_robohelp_8_now_supports_windows_7_also.html) in which he states "I'm pleased to inform you that Adobe RoboHelp 8 now also supports Windows 7. With this, RoboHelp 8 is now compatible with Microsoft® Windows® XP with Service Pack 2 (Service Pack 3 recommended) or Windows Vista® with Service Pack 1 or Windows® 7."
Now, Mr. Jain doesn't specify 32-bit or 64-bit Windows 7, but considering the detail in his posting regarding service packs, I'd expect that a blanket statement like RH is compatible with Win 7 would mean both 32-bit and 64-bit, unless otherwise stated.
    Some questions:
    1) Is RH compatible with 64-bit Win 7 or not?
    2) What about RoboSource? Is it compatible with Windows 7? If so, which versions? 32-bit or 64-bit?
Also, the tech person said that we also need to try running RoboHelp in "simplified mode." What exactly is that?
    Thank you in advance!

    Hi again
I'm wondering if the "Simplified" bit is stemming from this Adobe Knowledge Base article?

  • PSE 9 - is it compatible with 64-bit Windows 7?

    Hi everybody
Have spent hours trying to find an answer to this, but without success: - are Photoshop Elements 9 and Premiere Elements 9 (as sold in the UK) compatible with the 64-bit version of Windows 7?  I hope they are, because I know my old PSE 3 and Premiere 1 are not.  And my new Windows 7 64-bit PC should be delivered within the next week.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Thank you for the suggestion, but I happened to speak with an Adobe support person and he was unsure about the success with PSE 9. I also did some further searching and found Microsoft DO NOT recommend the installation of Office 2010 64 bit! I wish they had put this on their installation message. The blog from Microsoft further mentioned there is no performance increase of Office 64 over 32. So I bit the bullet, uninstalled Office 2010 64 and installed the 32 bit version. Well PSE 8 that I have works like before. Obviously the problem is compatibility, so anyone even thinking of installing the 64 bit version of Office, stay away from it. In passing I had the same problem with Quickbooks Pro 2010 as I had with PSE 8 which disappeared when I went of Office 32.
I would hope that Adobe is looking into the 64 bit version which would be compatible with Office. Not really knowing how it works, it would seem that PSE X would run better if it had access to more than 4 GB of memory.

  • ITunes 6.0.5 Not compatible with 64 Bit Windows/AMD

I currently have 6.0.4.2, while upgrading to 6.0.5 and error window pops up to say that iTunes 6.0.5 does not support 64Bit. Is there a way I can get to the older 6.0.4.2 download, as I need a new install. My burner software erased over the itunes drive support and now I cannot burn CD's from iTunes.

I have quite a similar problem, I reinstalled Win XP x64 and wanted to install the latest version of iTunes as well. I hoped that this version might fix some problems I had before with QuickTime (it seems there is an incompatibility between QuickTime and a Security Update for Win x64). But instead, it refused to install.
This is really annoying, I bought several songs at the iTunes Music Store in the past and now I can only listen to them on my iBook. That's better than nothing, but I would like to have my music on the PC as well.
I don't want to install an older version of iTunes because there where some security issues in the past.
In another thread, someone mentioned that there will be a 64-bit version of iTunes/Quicktime somewhere in the future, but there's no release-date for it.
Is there a way to give feedback to Apple?

  • Is Photoshop Elements 6 compatible with 64-bit Windows 7?

I have been unable to open PSE 6 in Windows 7. It worked on my old computer which used XP Home SP3.

    function(){return A.apply(null,[this].concat($A(arguments)))}
    and as an administrator
When you try that, make sure you right-click the program icon or Start menu item and select Run As Administrator.  Running a program in an account that is a member of Administrators is not the same thing (as it was on XP).
If that doesn't work, you could be encountering one of the many reasons why PSE might crash or freeze, most of which are independent of the version of Windows. Unfortunately, these can be hard to diagnose quickly, and the best approach is to work methodically through all the known troubleshooting steps:
    Organizer: http://www.johnrellis.com/psedbtool/photoshop-elements-faq.htm#_Troubleshooting_Organizer_ crashes
    Editor: http://www.johnrellis.com/psedbtool/photoshop-elements-faq.htm#_Troubleshooting_Editor_cra shes
I suggest starting with the "Fix the licensing" step, whose symptoms can be similar to what you're seeing.

  • Is Adobe Digital Editions compatible with 64-bit Windows 7?

My computer was having bluescreen issues so I did a System Recovery. I want to make sure all new software is compatible. Not sure what this means in the Technical Requirements: Windows 7 32 or 64 bit running in 32-bit mode.

    it's compatible.
the tech specs indicate ade will be running in 32bit mode, not 64 bit.

This mice do not need any specific drivers or software. It runs with the default Microsoft mice drivers. It is compatible with Microsoft Windows 7 64-bit operating system. You do not need to install any specific drivers.

  • Palm Desktop native for Mac with Intel

Is there any chance of Palm Desktop native for Mac with Intel.
To HP/Palm: please supports Palm Desktop for Mac and release a new version native for Mac with Intel. There is not competition for such a software (derived from Apple Claris Organizer). You will sell HP/Palm devices for sure. Actually, the main reason I did that in the past was because I could have the Palm Desktop software for Mac.

I just wrote Access an inquiry about updating the Palm Destop to Mac Intel compatible. Not holding my breath. Shame such an elegant, simple and effective piece of software should just fade away.

  • How do you get palm tx to be compatible with rhapsody?

Does anyone know how to get a palm tx to be compatible with rhapsody.  The origanal install disk has rhapsody, but when I try to install, I get a message that it is expired.  I use rhapsody with an mp3 player at the moment, but would also like to be able to use it to put music on my tx.

Easiest way to move mp3's to a Palm device is with a cheap USB card reader.  Just connect it to your computer and drag and drop the mp3's into the /AUDIO folder.

  • Does Apple plan to make iTunes / iPad, iPhone compatible with 24 bit FLAC files?

Does Apple plan to make iTunes / iPad, iPhone compatible with 24 bit FLAC files?

I wouldn't count on FLAC being supported. 24 bit Apple Lossless (ALAC) is our best bet. I have been patiently waiting for 24/96 or greater support on ipods and especially AppleTV... Desktop iTunes is compatible with hi res files, but not FLAC, you have to convert them to Apple Lossless with Max (or some other converter)... I have several FLAC files from HDTracks, and converted them fairly quickly and easily with Max, so I could add them into iTunes. They play fine on my computer (with an external DAC), and stream fine to AppleTV, but ATV downsamples to 16/44 according to my Receiver. I wish it wouldn't do that....

  • External Hard Drive Compatible with Mac and Windows?

So my old laptop is a Dell Latitude and I bought a Western Digital external hard drive and put all my files/pics/music on it. The information the WD came with said its compatible with Mac and Windows, but when I plug it into my brand spankin new Macbook, it doesn't register with the computer and won't show up. What's going on?

I recently ran into that problem. In order to have the hard drive compatible for both PC and Mac it must be in a FAT32 format. In order to do this though all your files will be deleted (in order to reformat). You can do this by plugging in the hard drive into you mac and going under disk utility and there you will find your hard drive and under erase change the format to FAT32 and then you press erase (all will be deleted off the external drive though)
