I agree with Miklos - the 53 is nice at first, but is awkward and heavy. It has a huge rubber tip and is stiky on the screen. I like the amPen Hybrid Stylus on Amazon. They are under 8$ and are a great quality stylus that actually works! They have the fiber mesh tips that can be changed out when you want a fresh tip. They also come in a variety of colors. Was able to get a stylish black on for myself and a pink one for my wife and daughter. We also got a 5 pack of the tips they sell so we ould have extras when we need them. The stylus tip is the best part though. It is soft and glides nicely on the screen. It is not stiky and clingy like the rubber tipped stylus pens you see these days. Link incuded. I need to reprogram the delete and enter key to the left side of a external keyboard for the ipad mini. I don't need the caps/lock or ctrl key. Due to a brain injury my daughter can only use her left hand to type. She also uses a text to speech app to verbalize all of her needs since her speech isn't intelligible any longer either. And her vision was significantly affected also, so the keyboard has to be mounted about 6 inches from her face. So to reach across the keyboard with her left hand to the right side delete and enter button is physically difficult and causes typing errors, which cause people to not understand what shes trying to say.
The best keyboard so far is the Zagg folio mini. I just had to make stickers to enlarge the letters on the key buttons.
Does anyone know how I can reprogram these two keys? Or where I can buy a wireless mini keyboard for Ipad made for lefthanders with these two functions on the left side. I have searched for days and days. It's sooooo important to me that she be able to contribute her voice again. Imagine if you got in a car accident and couldn't speak clearly any longer, but understood everything still. Thanks for any help and suggestions you all take the time to share with me. I really appreciate the kindness of strangers to help me help my daughter.

It all depends upon your uses and preferences. The iPod had a bigger screen and is physically bigger and has an option cellular radio.

I recently posted elsewhere:
"I am very interested in this issue as I want an ipad for 7 months travel in Southern Africa and the particular app I want is Tracks4 Africa map app On App store it says "This app is designed for both iphone and ipad" and later on "Requires iOS4.3 or later." and "optimised for iphone 5"
In emails with the developers their junior tech assistant says it is not compatible with an ipad mini with wi-fi. My attempts to differentiate whether its compatible with an ipad mini running both wi-fi and mobile has fallen on deaf ears.
Does the ipad mini offer 4.3?
Could you understand why an app wouldn't be compatible with a wi-fi only app but would be ok on a wi-fi and mobile unit?"

Any best practices for the iPad mini????

I am in the beginning stages of designing my mag for the iPad.... now the iPad mini seems to be all the hype and the latest news states that the mini may out sell the larger one.
So... I know that the dimensions are 1x1 on bumping down to the smaller screen... but what about font sizes? what about the experience? Anyone already ahead of the game?
I have my own answers to these questions, but any one out there have some best practice advice or links to some articles they find informative...

I think 18-pt body text is fine for the iPad 2 but too small for the iPad mini. Obviously, it depends on your design and which font you're using, but it seems like a good idea to bump up the font size a couple points to account for the smaller screen.
For the same reason, be careful with small buttons and small tap areas.
I've also noticed that for whatever reason, MSOs and scrollable frames in PNG/JPG articles look great on the iPad 2 but look slightly more pixelated on the iPad Mini. It might just be my imagination.
Make sure that you test your design on the Mini.

Yes, turn by turn directions is available on the new ipad. I've tried it and it does work.

You have 2 questions here.
The actual cable is the same Lightning USB cable for all 3 current generation products. That is iPad Mini, iPad4 and iPhone 5. All the same.
The charger, however, that comes with the Mini is the 5W charger. This is the same charger that comes with the iPhone 5. However the charger for the iPad 4 is the larger 12W charger.
You can use the larger 12W charger to charge every other device, but the 5W charger will not correctly charge the iPad 4 as it requires more power than it can provide.

If you really are an admin for McAfee then you should know what a virus is, and that there are none for iOS. If there were a virus for iOS it would be all over the news. It is also true to say there is no malware for stock iOS devices. If you've jailbroken your device, then maybe so, but you've purposefully put yourself at risk.

Yes, just like any OS, there have been vulnerabilities that, potentially, could be used for malware purposes, but iOS has been available for over 4 years and still not one virus or malware breakout. If you knew anything about the way iOS works, and how apps get approved, installed and run, you would know why a virus is virtually impossible, and even a trojan is very unlikely.
Apple has a policy of never discussing security issues as they like to pretend that their products are totally immune, but they aren't.
Like lots of companies, Apple don't discuss security vulnerabilities BEFORE they are fixed, because that would be irresponsible and make it easier for hackers to exploit. Apple have never pretended their products are totally immune. Use your brain, if Apple thought their products were immune, why would they release regular security updates?
Companies like McAfee make money out of spreading FUD and making people believe they have to fork out lots of money for so-called "protection" that in most cases they don't need and doesn't work for unknown issues anyway. And now they're trying to prey on uninformed Windows users, who after years of being subjected to the real threat of viruses and malware now think they need the same for iOS devices.
