Is personas plus compatable with Firefox 4?

I just upgraded to Firefox 4 Beta and was trying to install Personas Plus, but it says that the add-on could not be downloaded because a connection failure on add-ons.mozilla.org and in my add-ons manager is states that Personas is not compatable with Firefox 4

Look at the Personas Plus page for Firefox version compatibility: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/10900/

  • Business Objects Reports compatibility with firefox

    Hi,
Some BO web intelligence reports which were having issues on our live environment. I have noticed that the reports are having no problems with the fonts and numeric display in BO Infoview while using IE browser.
The problem is noticed in BO Infoview while using Mozilla firefox browser. This does not look to be a font specific issue.
This looks to be more with BO reports compatibility with firefox.
Can any one please let me know the plugin / Patch need to be installed which will correct compatibility issue with IE and Mozilla
    Environment Details: BOXIR2
    Thanks alot !

    Hi,
Your only approach is to :
    a) use a product that is currently supported by the vendor & who's codeline is still actively maintained
    and
    b) use a mix of software components that are validated for compatiblity and supported by our product development.
    Regards,

is there anyway Firesheep will work with Firefox 7.0.1? The exact error message I recieved is below in quotes.

  • F-secure browser protection toolbar was compatable with firefox 4 not with firefox 5

f-secure browser protection toolbar was compatable with firefox 4 why not with firefox 5

See f-secure for an update. f-secure needs to keep their Firefox add-ons up-to-date as Mozilla releases new versions of Firefox.

  • Norton toolbar no longer compatable with firefox 4. Do I need to go back to IE so I have it working?

Norton toolbar incompatible with Firefox 4. I need to use IE or Safari for my browser since I upgraded. I would prefer to use Firefox but to many things are no longer compatible.

Norton have a history of being slow when it comes to updating their products to work with Firefox updates. Norton have indicated they plan to release an update to Norton 360 to support Firefox 4 in early May, I do not know about other Norton products - http://us.norton.com/support/kb/web_view.jsp?wv_type=public_web&docurl=20100720113635EN&ln=en_US
If you want you can downgrade to Firefox 3.6 pending updates from Norton.
To downgrade to Firefox 3.6.* you can uninstall Firefox 4, but do not select the option to "Remove my Firefox personal data". If you select that option it will delete your bookmarks, passwords and other user data.
You can then install Firefox 3.6.* available from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html - it will automatically use your current bookmarks, passwords etc.
To avoid possible problems with downgrading, I recommend going to your profile folder and deleting the following files if they exist - extensions.cache, extensions.rdf, extensions.ini, extensions.sqlite and localstore.rdf. Deleting these files will force Firefox to rebuild the list of installed extensions, checking their compatibility, and reset toolbar customizations.
For details of how to find your profile folder see https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Profiles

  • Java update and real player update not compatable with firefox 6 on Windows 7. Will they still function right?

When i opened firefox today , there were updates but when it tried to update it came back that java and real player updates were not compatable with my firefox. I have Firefox 6. Will these 2 programs still work all right if they are not updated?
I'm sorry I don't know what installed plugins I have. After putting in search it says I have Java 6 Standard Edition Update 26. I have Real Player(tm)(win32), Version 14.0.4 652. Hope that is enough information

I just had a similar issue and I ended having to manually clean up the registry to get Java working again.
I just got a new computer at work and it had Java 7 installed but it turns out an app we need to use at work doesn't work with Java 7, only Java 6.
I uninstalled Java 7 and installed Java 6 but Firefox was not showing the Java plugin as installed. I tried all sorts of things, including uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox and none of it worked. Finally I again uninstalled Java and then I searched for "Java" in the registry and found TONS of entries still in there for Java, including for Java 7. I manually deleted all the entries (WARNING: this is extremely risky) rebooted, then installed Java 6 and now it's working fine.
I really hate it when uninstallers leave stuff behind. It just makes a mess.

  • Mac Java Compatibility with Firefox 4

I am running Mac OS, with the new firefox 4 I am not getting access to my CCTV server anymore, while the older firefox runs smoothly, the version 4 firefox keeps on asking to install the plugins "Java", but Mac has its own java. Maybe it need to be compatible with the Mac Java plugins, and another thing is the version 4 of Firefox runs slower than the previous version.

i love channel hoppin on fox tv and not compatable with the new socalled better ff4 please sort it out thanks

  • EREC: BSP compatibility with Firefox 10 (and above)

We recently hit a compatibility issue with Firefox 10 (launched last day of January) and eRecruitment EP03 BSP pages used for the Recruiter scenarios.
This is due to class CL_BSP_ELEMENT_RT_ATTR_VALID, method BROWSER_CHECK which checks the browser versions.
It now thinks the version number is lower than the minimum supported so throws a nasty "Your browser isn't supported" error page.
A quick workaround is to apply an implcit enhancement to the start of the method. Simply "EXIT" to skip checking the versions.
SAP recently removed browser version checking from WebDynpro, but don't appear to have got around to removing it for BSP yet.

    Hi Roman,
Yes. I understand its not easy for SAP to keep pace with the rapid release changes.
When they do support Firefox rapid release, I'd be surprised if they back port the changes to NW 7.00.
There's still no sign of Safari working in 7.00 despite fixes being back ported to NW 7.01
It appears the version number isn't coming through correctly as it thinks version 10 is less than the
minimum supported version. If anyone actually has a very old version of Firefox that's less than the
minimum version it won't work properly for them, but we can simply ask them to upgrade. For me that's
less of a pain than blocking the newer versions and waiting for a support pack/SAP Note to fix it.
The suggested workaround is a one line ABAP implicit enhancement to the start of the method that
performs the checks to disable it. With this in place we're back up and running in production with Firefox 10/11.

  • I'm trying to reload the google toolbar but I get a message that it's not compatable with Firefox 5.0. Not true! I have both on my laptop. Help!

I lost my google tool bar for no reason. When I try to reload it I'm told that it's not compatible with firefox 5.0

Google needs to update the Google Toolbar program for Firefox 5.0.
The Google Toolbar '''7.1.20110512W''' version does work pretty good in Firefox 5.0 by using the Compatibility Reporter extension. But not every feature works 100%.<br />
    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/add-on-compatibility-reporter/
    http://googlesystem.blogspot.com/2011/06/enable-google-toolbar-in-firefox-5.html
Google Labs has been working on a GTB 8 version, but it looks like it isn't made for Firefox - just for Internet Explorer. <br />
    http://www.google.com/support/toolbar/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=1111588#toolbar_info <br />
So, maybe Google isn't going to be supporting Firefox any longer. That might be a move to force Google Toolbar users over to Google Chrome, which I believe has all those features built-in.

  • Everytime firefox updates I loose my Blue Mountain access. the pop-up reads Create & print plug-in could not install because it is not compatable with firefox 4.0.1

went to use create & print in bluemountain got "In order to use create & print in Mozilla you must download and install latest version. Do you want to install plug-in?" (clicked OK). Next message was "Firefox prevented this site (www.bluemountain.com) from asking you to install software on your computer" (clicked Allow) Next message "Create & Pring plugin could not install because it is not compatible with firefox 4.0.1" -- this sound like a firefox problem not bluemountain. Please help... I am paying to use bluemountain and firefox is not letting me get my $$$$ worth out of that site.

Launch Disk Utility in /Utilities. Then, click on the volumes under the top-level disk. The one that has this listed on the bottom is the boot volume.

  • Is there a version of Flash that is compatable with Firefox?

Is there a version I could use that doesn't leave me with no video or messages about using Flash with Internet Explorer? Is there a fix? a Patch? a Plug in???

Every Flash Player version is compatible with Firefox.  If you have problems with FP & FX, then you will have to be a little bit more specific.

  • I use Zoom Text as I am visually impaired and it is not compatable with Firefox 4. I need to go back to the earlier version of Firefox until this is handled by Zoom Text. How do I do that? Thanks, David

I asked Zoom Text about this and this is what they had to say.
"What is the specific version of ZoomText 9.1 you are using (In ZoomText click on Help -> About ZoomText -> Version)? Unfortunately the newer are supporting HTML5, Direct2D and other new hardware acceleration technologies designed to increase the speed and performance of web browsers. These new technologies bring new challenges for accessibility programs like ZoomText. More specifically, these technologies will have crippling adverse effects on ZoomText?s xFont, tracking and screen reading features.
Therefore, at this time we are advising ZoomText users not to install or upgrade to Internet Explorer 9, as doing so will result in a loss of ZoomText functionality within Internet Explorer, and possibly a decrease in personal productivity. We do want to assure you that we are working on overcoming these problems and will provide a solution as quickly as possible.
The other web browsers like Google Chrome, Safari, and Opera we do not have support for. The Firefox 4 with ZoomText you should have decent support for but not full support for it but you do have to have the updated version of ZoomText 9.19.1 and do the following as well http://www.aisquared.com/knowledge_base/more/zoomtext_with_firefox_4_loss_of_xfont/ for Firefox 4.
You are best to use IE 8 or 7 now or Firefox 3 or you can try 4. Thanks."
I am running the latest version of Zoom Text abnd the latest version of Firefox. I have done the "fix" suggested here but it had short lived relief if any. My preferred solution is to go back to running Firefox 3 until Zoom Text works around your new software updates.
Hint: You would make a whole lot of visually impaired folks on this planet real happy if you got together with the Zoom Text people and worked this out in a lickity-split fashion.
    Thanks,
    David

You might try using the add-on 'NoSquint' which allows numerous zoom options specific to each page you visit & keeps your settings - https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/nosquint/
If you want to go back to 3.6x, you will find it here:
    http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html
In most cases you can simply "upgrade" (meaning downgrade) directly from the installation. It would be a good idea to save your passwords & bookmarks just to be on the safe side.
