Is Phillips Micro Hi-Fi MCM276R compatible?

In other words, with the DRM protection, will I be able to play iTunes purchased music through the USB port on the Phillips system. Any help will be appreciated!

OK - my bad. You MUST purchase the DOCK DC276 in order for this to work correctly. I did - and it's great - Rodrigo y Gabriela (via iTunes) are cranking through my apartment. Thanks for your advice - you were right on the money!

• Trend micro toolbar is not compatible in this version

Many of the toolbar and add ons which were working with previous versions of FF are not compatible with this version

Many toolbar and addon developers don't do updates for Beta, pre-release versions. You might have to wait for the actual release of Firefox 4.0 before those incompatible addons are updated. Now is the time for users to contact outfits like Trend Micro and let them know they need to get-on-the-stick as far as updating their extensions for Firefox 4.0.

• TS4148 IPHONE 4S 5 HOURS OLD AND MICRO SIM IS NOT COMPATIBLE

Hello There,
I purchased a brand new IPhone 4S in a store today and have run into a problem.
I currently have a HTC One X (Beats) with a Micro-SIM card.
I opened the IPhone box and inserted the micro sim as instructed and went through as far as the wifi settings until I was greeted with the following message:
"The SIM card inserted in this iPhone does not appear to be supported. Only compatible SIM cards from a supported Carrier may be used to activate iPhone. Please insert the SIM card that came with your iPhone or visit a supported carrier's store to receive a replacement SIM card".
The phone is sim free and it is a micro sim card that was purchased (from the three store and not cut) less than 4 months ago along with my HTC.
It works perfectly via that however not via the IPhone.
Could someone please point me in the right direction in order to get this resolved please?
Your help would be greatly appreciated.

What country are you in, What carrier are you trying to use, and what store did you purchase the phone from?

• Zen V Plus - Use Micro Power Adapt

Hi,
I just ordered the Zen V Plus (ZVP 8GB) over the phone from Creative (I'm in UK) and I was recommended to purchase?the external power adapter. So I ended up buying that as well. When I got the confirmation e-mail, the power adapter turns out to be the "Zen Micro Power Supply" - as opposed to the standard (and uni'versal?) "Zen Power Adapter". Since both the Micro and the V series?only charge via USB I assume that the Zen Micro power adapter is compatible with the Zen V?Just want to be 00%?sure that it will work. Tia.

Creative is selling?the Micro Power adapter?on the?web site for $9.99. 67% off list price. That's better than paying $29.99!It said they were out of stock for now. When you click on the?link?asking if you wanted to be notified when they were back in stock; another window comes up and?it says?that it works with the Zen V and Zen V Plus.Message Edited by mjmvb on 2-7-200707:32 PM

Yes. Pulling the battery from a Zen Micro with licensed files on is a very bad idea.

• Using IPOD in micro systems

Hi,
My name is Carlos Augusto and I'm Brazilian. Sorry, but my english is not so good.
I bougth a new micro systems and it can use to hear music from PC (MP3), but the cable USB (that came with micro system) is not compatible with IPOD. Do you know a cable USB that can be used to hear music in micro systems??

The m4a is Apple Lossless and your BMW iPod connection will read it.
I have a 2008 5 series with the iPod hookup and it plays everything on my Classic, which is Mac formatted. You will not have to reformat the drive to FAT32, if the song plays on your Classic it will play when connected to your Bimmer. The only challenge is to make sure your Classic has at least firmware 1.0.3 and you have the latest BMW connection cable, which should have come with your car (it has an iPod dock connector on one end and a miniplug and USB connector on the other).
Happy motoring and enjoy your music.
(I am assuming you are using the optional factory installed ipod connection through the center console.)

• [Zen Micro]Questions about the Firmw

Hello,
I have some questions about the firmware of the Zen Micro
. Can I use the Zen Micro without any Software (MediaSource?) on my PC (winXP) when im using the Firmware Creative Zen Micro *PlaysForSure/MTP Firmware 2.00.2 ? This means that i copy my Music only by drag&drop from the Explorer after my Computer has detected the Zen Micro as a Removable Disk!
2. I know that the Zen Micro has two parts with the Normal Firmware. The "Removable Disk" Part and the "Playable" Part which can only used by the Software! But what happens if my . question is right. How can i seperate this two parts?
Thanks for answers

I don't have the 2.x firmware, but I think I'm correct in saying this :
with the 2.x firmware, your Micro becomes an MTP compatible device, which can be recognized on PCs having an MTP compatible OS (operating system). For the moment, the only OS that fits the bill to my knowledge, is Win XP with Windows Media Player 0. In this combination of MTP device + MTP OS, you don't need to install other drivers, and you can do drag and drop
BUT ! The 2.x firmware doesn't make your device a "removable disc" in the traditional sense of the word. It doesn't become a file system, like a USB memory stick.
I hope I was clear enough to see the difference :-)Message Edited by fred_be9300 on 04-03-2005 02:52 AM

• ZEN Micro Firmware Upgrade prob

I am trying to upgrade the firmware on my ZEN Micro to make it compatible with my new Vista computer. I have the proper firmware ready to install, using an XP computer (with the latest Zen Micro driver), but I need to offload all content from my ZEN first, otherwise it all goes bye-bye. The problem is, the files on the ZEN won't drag and drop to my XP hard dri've. My only choices are "delete" and "properties."? Music files in other locations happily relocate wherever I want them. What's keeping the ZEN from letting me offload my music?

Hi all !I changed the hard dri've?of my zen micro because it died. Also I haven't got the firmware anymore and I don't know where to find another one so I ask you if it is possible to make a copy of your hard dri've tu put it on my. I really need this copy to go on my zen micro. Please I'm becoming mad because of this little program I haven't got anymore. I hope someone will send me a copy of his disk (without musics if possible : it will be lighter). Thank you.

• Zen Micro | WMP 10 |

I'm considering the purchase of a Zen Micro. Some of the reviews that I've read have stated that the Zen Micro is an MTP-compatible device. I want to know what information is transferred using Auto Sync in WMP 0.
I'm assuming that songs can be automatically transferred. How about playlists? Can playlists be created in WMP and then transferred to the Zen Micro along with music files? Can a playlist be modified on the Zen Micro, and then transferred back to the PC using WMP? What other information can be changed and then automatically transferred?
I'd appreciate hearing from someone who understands the Zen Micro's MTP capabilities.
Thanks!

Windows Media Player 0 help files are very well done, and perhaps your answer is in there...
But as for folder creation: WMP0 arranges your music as Artist\Album\Song.mp3, doesn't matter how you have it structured on your computer, WMP0 will arrange it like that. If you use Windows Explorer then it will keep the same arrangement as your computer, like you already know.
Despite this arrangement, if you still want WMP0 to make folders on your player then:
Connect the Micro
Open up WMP0
Click on Tools-> Options
Click on Devices tab
Select your player and click Properties
Under the Synchronization tab check the box for Create folder hierarchy on device
As for playlist creation, WMP0 will only transfer playlists using the Auto-sync options. If you select which songs to transfer over then it will not transfer that playlist, just the songs inside it. To make a playlist you will have to use Zen Media Explorer, or whatever program that supports it like Media Source, or even make them manually on the player itself.

• Apple TV does not appear in iTunes after hard drive swap. (original ATV)

I recently upgraded the internal hard drive in my mac book pro. I removed the original drive and and put it into an external casing. With the new, larger capacity drive in place, i reinstalled the operating system and the updates, bringing it up to snow leopard, 10.6.4. I then dragged in the user and other important files to the new drive. For the most part, everything worked, except, Apple TV
Apple TV now longed shows up in itunes. It is visible on my wife computer and when i reboot from the "original" external drive. I assume there is some setting or file that i did not transfer over, but for the life of me, can figure out.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thx

Are you doing it in this order? (#5 below is a good inicator of whether the micro USB cable is compatible)
1. Unplug Apple TV and move it to your computer running latest version of iTunes.
2. Quit iTunes if running.
3. Plug micro USB cable to the back of the Apple TV.
4. Power the Apple TV using the AC cable.
5. iTunes shoud either launch itself (a good indication that the micro USB cable you're using is compatible), or launch iTunes.
6. Click Restore. Software will download and install (big file).

• 630 Dual Sim Network Compatibility

I purchased the Nokia Lumia 630 dual-sim model. It was unlocked and I am using it in Canada. It works with Rogers no-problem but won't connect with my Telus SIM.
Does anyone know why this may be the case? I tried swapping the SIM locations, updating, etc.

Hi asuth077,
Welcome to the forum!
Do you mean the phone doesn't detect your Telus micro-SIM card? Or does it read the micro-SIM but is unable to get network signals from Telus? Have you also tried using another standard micro-SIM from Telus to verify if the issue is SIM or network related?
Make sure to use a standard micro-SIM and not a cut up regular one. If the phone is just unable to get signals from Telus, best to ask them if your current location is within their coverage area. You can also try using your Telus micro-SIM with other compatible devices and see if it'll work.
We'll wait for your feedback.

• IPhone 4 (UK) is it real sim free?

Hi guys,
Refer to http://store.apple.com/uk/browse/home/shop_iphone/family/iphone
I'd like to know that if i buy iPhone 4 from UK, can i really use it anywhere? I plan to travel to some countries in South East Asia and I want to make sure that i can use my iPhone over there.
I notice that the FAQs said "iPhone 3GS works with SIM cards and iPhone 4 works with micro-SIM cards from compatible carriers, including prepaid cards." and the compatible carriers that Apple mentions just for O2, Orange, and Vodaphone? Can i use any local carriers?
Thanks so much.

I also travel a lot in Asian (Thailand/Cambodia) and have looked into this.
Yes an iPhone purchased from the Apple shop without taking out a carrier contract at the same time in the UK is sim free and can be used on any network, however many countries that are not selling the iPhone until much later than this weeks release date may not bother to supply micro sims as +the demand for them will be small,+ at least that is the current reasoning of both AIS and True in Thailand.
So although theoretically you can use the phone anywhere in the world it is going to be dependant of the local carriers supplying micro sims and there will also be many places, Cambodia is a prime example, where there is no 3g service to speak of so the phone will be resticted to 2g and wireless.

• Shout out to Cat and Jer

Greetings all!
I ordered a 40GB Zen Touch and have been trolling on the boards here ever since, to get a feel for the product that I ordered, and see what people had to say. There have been some very good threads. After much reading, I decided that it was appropriate to say thank you to the forum administrators for taking the time to help people with their concerns.
I have read threads by a lot of whiney babies who apparently didn't do research into what they were buying ahead of time, and now have come back to complain about the trouble that their lack of research is causing. What a bunch of crap! People are on here just outright BASHING creative and it's mostly self induced!
Anyway, we should feel fortunate that Creative cares enough to have a discussion forum for their customers (You don't see that everywhere). To top it off, they actually pay staff to administer it and help people with their concerns. I think that's a nice touch.
So, with my first post, I wanted to say thanks to Cat and Jeremy for being here to help with concerns. I'm impressed by your ability to always maintain your professionalism, when based some threads that I've read, it was most certainly a challenge. It's good to know that if I have issues with my player, posting them here will garner some attention, and they will not just disappear into a black hole somewhere.
Thanks

Are you referring to their false advertising of the Creative Zen Micro as being fully compatible with Napster To Go?

I have a MacBook pro 17" Early 2008 and wihout any warning the machine turned to blank screen and has no video or startup diagnostic was able to run....I have trying all suggestions to have at least a diagnostic but nothing worked... :-( it looks like the board failed... Do you know anithing about it??
Thanks for your comments!
Best Regards,

Not seen anyting like it no.
You should be able to extract the hard drive, using a 00 phillips micro screwdriver (magnetic preferred) a plastic compartmentalized container for all the screws to go back in the same order.
Then hook it up to a IDE/SATA to USB powered external adpater and use another Mac or PC (with MacDrive installed) to access your files.
Take the machine in to Apple if your under AppleCare, it likely won't be coming back.
