You are doing 2 things wrong:
1. you are trying to run EXE file(installer) on MAC
2. You are trying to run a very old application on latest configuration which is not compatible and may not fulfill the appropriate requirement.

Best way to organize several versions of Photoshop Elements to conserve disk space?
I have Elements 9, 11, and now Version 12. I am wondering if I should import into Version 12's Organizer all of my previous photo files, then delete or uninstall the older versions of PhotoShop Elements?
Currently running Windows 7 - 64 bit with latest SP installed. I would like to try and keep the hard disk storage fairly lean, and can't help but wonder about the space that is being taken up by having all of these versions of Elements installed! Any advice would be welcome. Thanks for your replies and insights!

I sometimes feel that I must be increditable stupid as I try to get BOTH organized but also learn how to use all of the features found in Photoshop Elements. Part of the reason that I say this, is because I have always been pressed for time, so I try & do one most pressing thing, that usually doesn't turn out quite like it was described it would or could be, and then I'm off to take care of more pressing issues, and don't get back to trying it after days or weeks have passed, so its kinda of like starting all over again.

The organizer does not store your photos, only links to their locations on the hard disk. So all your different versions will be looking at the same image file, so no duplication of the photos themselves.
If you find yourself using features in 9 or 11 that were removed in later versions (e.g. interactive photomerge, magic extractor, lighting effects etc ...) I'd be inclined to leave them installed unless you are critically short of disk space.

Tried to download the Photoshop Elements 13 manual pdf form. Stops. Says expects a "dict object".
you can't download the pdf manual for photoshop 13 elements. Goes about 2.4 mb in and then has error. Expects a "dict object". Can t cut and copy or paste the message, adobe program wont let me do that in the pdf download. Can you let adobe know please so I can get the manual and they can fix their download?? thanks. ken.
Which operating system and internet browser are you using?
Did you try right clicking on the pse 13 pdf and using Save Link As?
The photoshop elements 13 pdf from this page seems to download fine here on windows 7 with firefox.

why does adobe photoshop elements 6.0 not show up for a download choice of putting my photos into my computer, I'm on windows7. I'm sure it did when I first got my computer. Could it be that I have lots of other photo software that may be interfering?@@
If you open the Organizer and go to Edit>Preferences>Camera or Card Reader, do you have Auto Launch Adobe Photo Downloader on Device Connect checked?

Thanks for your response. When it comes to computers, I am almost
illiterate. I have a HP Pavillion PC and have used Photoshop Elements 5.0
for a number of years. Computer crashed couple of weeks ago and I sent it
back to HP. They returned it with new guts I think. Had to reinstall my
programs and use my external backup to get all the stuff back, including
about 11,000 pics. Now, every time I try to put the SD card in to download
the pics to the Organizer, it downloads about 4 or 5 pics and freezes.
Have to use task manager to get PC going again. Been doing the same thing
for years and this just happened since I got new PC back. Is that any help?

hi i have half a year ago, adobe photoshop elements 11 serial gedwonloaden and then bought my laptop and had seized a week ago and I had to have my laptop but all programs off adobe photoshop elements 11 and I wanted to resume in download photoshop elements 11 but does not exist more I had to photoshop elements 12 download I have done but accepter my serial code is not that my serial number is not existing database? ?

If you have anti virus software installed, you need to disable that in order to download apps.

I recently switched computers and would like to use my purchased copy of Photoshop Elements 11 on my new computer. How do I install Photoshop elements 11 without a disk drive since the trials are all now Elements 12?

Adobe Photoshop Elements 7 LOST DISK
Hello
I purchased Adobe Photoshop Elements 7 in March of last year.
I've purchased a new computer this week and need to reload the software but I've lost the disk.
Is there a way to get the license key out of the software installed on my old PC and download or purchase a second disk?
I think I may have to purchase the software again, but I live in hope!
Thank you.It may be a long shot but if you copied the installer folder from the disk to some drive or external drive, then you can install the same build from there and the serial number will work.
But, for PSE 7, if you download the build from internet and enter the serial number which has been provided on the disk then it will NOT work.
A serial number which is present on disk will work only with the DVD build. The downloaded build needs different kind of serial number.

Trying to reinstall old version of Photoshop Elements from a disk
Photoshop Elements disappeared from my computer and when I tried to reinstall from the disk, I am not having any luck getting it to work. I am using an older version of Elements made for Windows XP, ME, 2000, 98, NT 4.0 and OS 8.6 to 9.x. Any suggestions on how to get this to work?
What operating system are you using?
Was it working before it "Disappeared"?
Sounds like photoshop elements 1 (one)?
What happens when you try to install it?
Your sure photoshop elements is really gone?
Have you looked in
C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe
or
C:\Program Files\Adobe
for a folder called Photoshop Elements
