Is Photoshop Elements 7 compatible with new Vista 64-bit?

I am going to purchase a new computer with Windows Vista 64-bit.  The Photoshop Elements 7 states that it is compatible with Vista 32-bit.  Is there a patch or some way to make it work?

It should work.  See this FAQ:

    No.
Photoshop CS6 is officially supported on Windows XP SP3, Windows 7 or Windows 8 only.

  • Photoshop Elements 7 on Win Vista 64 bit

Ihave an Acer Aspire M5642 PC, Windows Vista Home Premium 64 bit. Just bought Adobe Photoshop Elements 7. Will it run OK on this Vista 64 system? What do I do to get Photoshop working on this machine?
    Marty

    Marty,
As a matter of fact, yes, I just the other day installed PSE2 on my new
Vista 64 bit machine and it installed without any complaints and now works
like a charm. I had seen several posts where folks reported assorted
problems doing so, but none here. It may be a matter of memory? I have 6
GB and a quad core processor.

  • Is Photoshop Elements compatible with Mac OS X v10.8?

Is Photoshop Elements 10 compatible with Mac OS X v10.8? Thinking of purchasing it but in system requirements it only mentions up to
    Mac OS X v10.7.

No problems have been reported with Mountain Lion but you may wish to download the free trial using the link below and test the software for 30 days. If this is your first purchase you may wish to wait for PSE11 which is usually issued in September.

  • Is Photoshop Elements compatibel with Windows Vista?

I cannot intallate Photoshop Elements 13 on my computer.

i have purchased Photoshop elements 12 and Premiere Elements 12 thinking that it would work with Vista service pack 2. there is no service pack 3 either available.
But I am having a problem.  I installed photoshop elements 12 from DVD Okay, but when I tried to access the editing features it tries to sign me in, I guess to register the product.
during the sign in process it times out and indicated that computer is not connected to the internet which is not correct because it is. I addition it indicates that the clock and date is wrong, which is not the case.
i went online to get help Adobe support, but after many hours of getting no where, they finally tell me that photoshop Elements 12 will not work with Vista Service pack 2 and that I need Service pack 3. But service pack 3 does not exist
does anyone have any idea what i could do to resolve this problem?

  • Photoshop Elements 11 with Windows 8 64 bits

I have seen that Photoshop Elements 11 and Premiere Elements 11 are compatible with Windows 8.1; is that correct also for Windows 8.4 64 bits or only for the 32 bits version? Thank you. MM

    PSE11 will run as a 32-bit application in W8.1-64, PRE11 will run as a 64-bit application.

  • Is Flash Player 11 just not compatible with Windows Vista 64 bit?

When I installed the latest version of Flash, I lost the ability to view You Tube videos for more than the first 3 or 4 seconds. Today I went to the adobe site thinking I needed a new flash player, and got this message:
Note:Flash Player does not support 64-bit versions of Windows XP and Vista. Flash Player 11 now includes support for Windows 7 64-bit.
Seriously? So I have to scrap my computer or get Windows 7 in order to use Flash?
I am not a techy, so I have resisted coming to the forums and getting a response I don't know what to do with. If you have an answer for this, I would really REALLY appreciate it if you can translate it into language for the lay person.
It isn't just You Tube videos, either. So many news and other items are now done in video instead of an article, and I am finding that I am not able to get information I am looking for because of this.
    Please help!

What this means is the following: the 64-bit version of Flash Player will install fine on Vista 64-bit, but Adobe will not provide support if it does not work as expected.
In fact, Adobe will not provide any support for any Flash Player on any platform, except here in this forum.
    I suggest that you
uninstall your current Flash Player using the uninstaller from http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/uninstall-flash-player-windows.html
install the 64-bit Flash Player with the offline installer(s) from http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/installation-problems-flash-player-windows.html#Ins tall_in_a_firewall_proxy_server_environment
    Good luck!

  • Is flash player 11.3 compatible with Windows vista 64 bit?

I don't have major issues with the video and sound (the flash player used to crash frequently but that seems to have been resolved). But I can't adjust the volume with the volume control wheel when I watch videos on firefox. When I check volume mixer the flash player is tied to the speaker, not firefox.
The product description for flash player 11.3 seems to suggest that it will not support Windows Vista 64 bit. Should I revert back to an older version? What's the most straightforward way to do that? Is the Adobe team fairly close to finding a solution?
Much thanks to anyone who provide some answers for people who aren't computer savvy - like me.

Previously, with separate 32-bit and 64-bit installers, you could run the 64-bit installer on Vista, and it would work correctly.  However, it was not officially supported by Adobe.
Now with the 11.3 combined installers, I do not know what it installs on Vista.  I do not have Vista available, so I cannot test it.  Can you tell me what files you have in
    C:\Windows\system32\macromed\flash ?
    C:\Windows\syswow64\macromed\flash ?

It should install and it should run but, because of the age discrepancy, CS is not officially supported by Adobe on Vista.
