Is Photosmart8250 compatible with Seagate BlackArmor NAS110?

I am interested in purchasing a Seagate NAS110 network drive. It "appears" to support USB printers through a LAN. I am concerned that the HP drivers might not be compatible with that kind of system. Does any one have any insight into the process? Has anyone had success doing this before?

Ok, I can print a text file (.txt) but not a Rich Text Format (.rtf) nor a web page from my PC to the NAS attached printer.

Is HP PhotoSmart C5280 compatible with Windows 7 64 bit?

While the printer will work the Scanner does not work!
I purchased a new Asus desktop pc that runs Windows 7 Home Premium.  (Previously I have been using the HP C5280 on a pc with Windows XP and had no problems.)
I have installed, uninstalled, and reinstalled all possible combinations of the following software, but still cannot scan.
    -        PS_AIO_02_NonNet_Full_Win_WW_130_140
    -        CPE_SCAN_DESTINATION_UPDATE_hypcom_001_003
    -        dot4patch_reboot
I have run HPSDU diagnostics after each successful step of the installation and I get a “The scan driver is missing or corrupt” message.
Does anyone have any ideas?  Please help!

Is HP Photosmart E317 compatible with Windows 7? How to download pictures from the camera?

    Hi,
Do you use memory card on your camera or only internal memory ?
    (a) For memory card: pull out the card and put to the computer card reader, it will turn up as a drive and you can copy photos around,
    (b) For internal memory: you can use the USB cable which comes with the camera but it may not turn up in Windows 7. One option is to buy a memory card, move photos from internal memory to the memory card to it then back to (a) above.

  • Photo Smart 8250 Conflicts With Seagate Free Agent External Hard Drive

I recently installed a Seagate Free Agent External hard drive.  The hard drive will not work when my printer is connected.   I checked Device Manager and found that both the printer and the hard drive load a USB Mass Storage device driver that is the same version number. If I unplug the printer the driver is removed from Device manager and the hard drive works fine.  Should the printer load a USB Mass Storage device driver when it is connected?

    Welcome to Apple Support Communities
Of course. Your external drive compatibility depends on the file format it uses.
You won't have any problem reading your external drive because exFAT, FAT32 and NTFS are compatible with OS X. However, if your external drive is formatted with NTFS, you won't be able to write in it. You will notice it when you try to copy data to your external drive from the iMac. If that happens, you have two options:
    1. Use a third-party application like Parallels NTFS.
    2. Format the external drive with exFAT or FAT32. You have to do this in a PC. Copy your data to the internal disk of your computer before formatting the external disk.
If the external disk is formatted in FAT32 or exFAT, your external disk will work correctly

  • Is HP Photosmart 6510 compatible with Windows 8?

Will windows 8 have drivers for Photosmart 6510 printer?
    This question was solved.
    View Solution.

Windows 8 RTM  has already printer support for the Photosmart 6510 included without your CD.
    Step 1: on the Start screen, you know with all the Tiles, click Windows key+ C, to open the  side bar;
The side bar opens with Search
Step 2: enter "printer" in the search field (without quotes); you will see that there are 17 hits under Settings
Step 3: click now on Settings, you will see 17 tiles appear on the screen
Step 4: Turn on your printer that you have already conected to your router; since you migrate now from W7
Step 5: Select Advaced printer setup
Note: You may receive a warning from Windows about Network sharing, Turn Network sharing On.
If you want to verifiy: double click the Network icon bottom right on the task bar, the green sidebar opens, right-click network,  Then click Turn network sharing On or Off, follow the instructions
Step 6: a window opens that shows your network printer is on 192.168.xx.xx
Step 7: follow the onscreen instructions.
All in all, it is so easy, but difficult to find, that Microsoft may have included it in the W8 setup routine. Or at least some hints. Enjoy printing! -Eric

  • Is HP Photosmart 7510 compatible with Windows 8?

I have HP Photosmart 7510. I am trying to find drivers for Windows 8 64 bit. Windows 7 64 bit drivers (downloaded from the HP support) refuse to install complaining that this is unsupported version of OS. Where can I get the drivers?

  • HP Officejet Pro 8000, HP Photosmart C4280 compatible with Lion?

I am planning to upgrade to Lion after 10.7.2 comes out.  I have a HP Officejet Pro 8000 (network) and HP Photosmart C4280 (usb).  Will they work under Lion? They work fine under Snow Leopard, and I don't want to replace them.

It's not specific to the C4680, just the PS_AIO_05_C4600_NonNet_Full_Mac_WW_108.dmg followed by the HewlettPackardPrinterDrivers2.7.2 update and running Software Update. I usually see this when printing in Preview, since they were my last settings. Also shown are available options.

  • Using FTP with Seagate BlackArmor NAS 440

Hey everyone - I need some help regarding OS X being able to log in with a drag and drop ability on my NAS using FTP.
I believe I have everything set up correctly, because I can log into my NAS at work on a PC using the ftp://user:[email protected] just fine.
However, if done with a mac, through safari, it just opens the folder for display. I cannot read/write to the NAS.
Also if I try to "connect to server" it gives me an error.
I also tried a 3rd party FTP application and that gave me errors as well (I believe it was 550 authentication errors?)
Like I said, I can do everything just fine with a PC, but as soon as I try it with a Mac it errors and won't connect.
Currently system is the 2013 15" MBP retina, my guitarist uses a 2011 13" MBP.
Both are running latest versions of OS X.
It would be nice to get this resolved as it would be much easier for transferring our recording projects back and forth and backing them up based on either system we are using.
Any suggestions would be great - thanks for your time!

Across the internet. Say we record a guitar track at his house, and then we can just upload it to the NAS.
Then when I am home I can add some synth tracks.. back and forth we can add parts.
I just tested it this morning to see if I could actually connect to it at work and (I use a PC at work)
I have no problems here at all drag/drop just fine. But trying to get him connected it fails.

  • I was using OS Snow Leopard and on 8/1/13 I downloaded Mountain Lion and found out it was not compatible with my HP printer (HP photosmart C5580) so I called Apple and asked how to get Mountain Lion off and Snow Leopard back on.  The Tech told me to

I was using OS Snow Leopard and on 8/1/13 I downloaded Mountain Lion.  Then I found out it was not compatible with my HP Printer (HP Photosmart C5580 all-in-one) so I called Apple support and the tech told me to erase the hard drive instead of going in the time machine.  Well I did that and then it took about three hours three days a week for about three weeks on the phone with an apple tech to get all my stuff back on my computer.  I have had trouble with my printer (won't do the scan anymore and wasn't printing on my DVDs.  Also the computer keeps freezing up when it is in the sleep mode, etc.
When I tried to list my problem on this forum it lists your OS at the bottom and mine had Mountain Lion listed as what I was using so apparently it didn't erase it.  Want to know how to get Mountain Lion off and put my Snow Leopard on so things start working right.

Go to the  menu/About This Mac - what OS version shows there?
Do a backup, preferably 2 separate ones on 2 separate drives.
Revert to a Previous OS X
    Revert to Snow Leopard
If you do revert, I'd use Setup Assistant to restore your data. This process takes a while, so do it when you won't need the computer for several hours, based on my experience.

  • Is the HP Photosmart Premium series C309 compatible with chromebooks

I just bought a Samsung Chromebook -Is my current printer compatible? Its an HP Photosmart Premium series-C309 from 2009
If not then can I download software or do I need to get a new printer?-thanks for your time!

    Hello lths,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
The Photosmart Premium C309 would not be compatible with the Chromebooks in the traditional way. With that being said, you can attempt to add the printer to Google Cloud Print. The steps are shown here: Using Google Cloud Print with your HP Printer, under HP classic printers.
