Is Pleasantville possible without a unique color?
I've searched the boards for this and have come up with nothing.
I have been using FCE for one year. Though far from an expert, I am proficient in the so-called Pleasantville Effect and have used it quite a few times with great success. It's easy if you've got a bride in white holding a red rose, or something like that.
But now I have a situation in which the object to be isolated is not a significantly different color from the background. My clip is of an paramedic walking down a hall. His shirt is white, as are the walls and many other elements in the shot. His flesh is the same tone as others standing near him. How can I mask him out so that he reamins in color while the rest of his surroundings are in b/w?

No, you need a color to "grab" with secondary color correction (which you refer to as "pleasantville").
To do what you want to do, you have to do rotoscoping, which is an advanced technique that is not easily doable in FCP. This involves adjusting a matte that surrounds your subject for every single frame. Very tedious.
The human form is a complex form to make this matte, so most artists use advanced tools to pull it off. Commotion used to be the best tool, but it's obsolete. Nowadays, you can do it in Boris RED, Adobe After Effects and SillhouetteFX. You can do an OK job in Motion, but the aforementioned tools are more commonly used.
You may be able to get away with a rough garbage matte around the actor, so maybe try that first: Filters>Matte>Garbage Matte. You will have to do lots of keyframing for the points, so take your time.
After you've isolated the actor with the matte, place the clip on V2. Place an identical clip on V1 and add a color corrector filter and pull down the saturation.
Post back your results.

Dear Experts,
In Webdynpro ABAP, I have to pass more than 4 dates to Date Navigator UI element and based on that dates I have to set unique color for each date.
But I am getting the u201CThe ASSERT condition was violatedu201D error when I am passing more than 4 dates. Please suggest me possible solution to fix this issue.
Note: If I pass 6 dates then Date Navigator should display those 6 dates with unique color.

You cannot able to add more that 4 becaue the type of the category Property is WDUI_DATE_MARKING_CATEGORY
Where the value is mainted in domain with 4 option only that represents
00 neutral
01 positive
02 critical
03 negative
in the class also sap is maintaining the 4 values only

but you can able to add more than 4 legends with same colour is posible .

Note that you should be cautious when you get the 'untrusted' error message and that you should never create a permanent exception in cases like this without investigating the cause.
If you have created a permanent exception then best is to remove it in the Server tab in the Certificate Manager.

I am interested in using some colors that are not part of any of the pre-loaded selections. Is it possible to create a color with the color wheel and then save it? I want to be able to use the same color on many parts of the site without having to recreate it every time.
Thanks for the help!In the color window, click on the magnifying glass to the left of the color swatch box. Now click on your color and it will appear in the swatch box. Drag this color down to one of the little squares at the bottom of the window.
Every time you click on a little square, the color appears in the swatch box.
Note that clicking on the dot at the bottom of the color window and dragging down will expand the squares so that you can store over 100 custom colors. -

Make a Shape > Inspector > Graphic > Tinted Image Fill > Scale to fit > browse to image > click on the color patch to change the color to what you want
or
Drag in an image > overlay it with a Shape > select the color for the shape and change its Opacity
Shapes may have Gradient and Advanced Gradient (multiple colors) fills both linear and radial. Both are in the Graphic Inspector as is Opacity.

Hi,
My wife lost her iPhone two weeks ago while on vacation in London (cell service inoperative in foreign country). Using Find My iPhone app on my device, I activated Lost Mode and Play Sound. However, both are listed as "Pending," since it those actions require the phone to connect to the internet (wifi only due to no cellular data coverage.).
We recently returned home and purchased a new iPhone.
However, when looking to restore the apps/settings from her old phone using a previous iCloud backup, iCloud indicates that the old phone connected to iCloud and backed up the original phone at a date that is 1 week after it went missing. How is this possible without locking (Lost Mode Pending an internet connection)?
If the phone was activated and connected to the internet via a wifi signal, shouldn't it immedately lock, show up on the map, Play Sound, and send me an email that the phone has been found?
I also read somewhere that if running iOS 7, the iCloud website interface enables you to track previous locations, for instance if the phone moves from wifi hotspot to hotspot. Is that true? If so, how do I do that?

thanksI'm not sure whether you can install it on its own or whether you will need FCP as well.
Open the installer, go through it and you will come to a page where every app and its media is listed.
Deselect everything except Color and continue with the installation.
If it refuses you will have to go back and select FCP as well. -

Disable automatic syncing when the iPhone is connected with iTunes on each computer.
The only item you will have selected for syncing with iTunes on your computer at work will be Calendars, which is selected under the Info tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes. Nothing else will be selected under the various tabs for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes on your computer at work. You will get a warning message that your iPhone is associated with another iTunes library on a different computer which you can ignore when syncing calendars/calendar events only with iTunes on your computer at work. -

You dont need a "bridge", just take a synchronous send step

Map the IDoc to request container and the response container to the second IDoc.
Your need 4 container, receive step, transformation, send step (synchronous), transformation, send step (asyncronous)

Coloring a Font with a RGB etc. without adding the color to the document swatches.
Is there a way of coloring a font with a RGB, Lab or CMYK color without adding the color to the document swatches.
The only way I know is to add a color to the swatches or use one that already exists.

This has the undesired effect of cluttering up the swatches when using a lot of colors.

I had tried the link and it did download but I have cs5 cs6 and cc but not cs5.5 and all the scripts worked on them may because of the file conversion.
So it looks like the following summary is all correct
All documents new contain
Swatches (Black, Registration, Paper and None) the index order will be the order that the swatches appear in the swatches panel
And colors in an alphabetical index order
named color "A" first "Z" last and then the unnamed colors.
A such all new documents colors[-1] will be an unnamed color which we can duplicated to produce other unnamed colors taking note that the duplication must be process and not spot colors.
So far so good, (not for long )
Unnamed colors are not read only so if we make a positive effort to remove them we can do that.

We now won't have any unnamed swatches to duplicate and will have to resort to John's tagged text file method in 3 above.
If there were no unnamed swatches and we try to duplicate colors[-1] and it was a color like "Yellow" then it seem's to crash indesign.
Anyway the below method should always work (for regular non tint etc. type colors).

I'm not certain the post I sent was posted correctly, as I added it as a reply to a 3-year old thread. Since this is a recently-active thread, though not specific to the issue at hand, I thought I'd post again:
Three years ago you helped me set up a roaming wireless network in my home. It's been rock-steady and I'm forever grateful to you for the time and guidance you gave me. I'd now like to swap out my AirPort Extreme base station for a time capsule. As I understand it, I should be able to unplug the base station and replace it with the TC without problem, so long as I use all the same settings on my TC... network name, security protocol, password, etc. Given the complexity of my network, I thought I should check with you first for any advice you might have. I don't want to set up a new network or make any changes to the existing one-- with the exception of using the TC in place of the AE. I'm already using Time Machine for backups. As a refresher, my current setup has the AE as base station and 3 expresses hard-wired with Ethernet connections elsewhere in my home. I have a 4th express set up wirelessly to use with my stereo system at the front of the house. All AXs are 'n's and are set up, as per your instructions, in Bridge mode to extend the existing network. I'm running the most updated version of Mavericks on my MBPro.
