Is possible create in the contacts app, new groups, copy contact from one group to another group, and create in the business group, field to put the pictures of business cards. I think it would be a great idea, no?!

Depends on how big the file is. If itis only a couple of pages, or mostly text, the easiest way would be to e mail it. If it is a very large file you are going to need wifi. Take both pads to starbucks, and e mail it from there. Or if you have wifi, use drop box, for example.
Your other choice, avoiding wifi would be a bluetooth type transfer. There is an app call bluetooth file lite that reads like it will do what you need. The good news is it is free. The bad news is that it has terrible ratings. For grins, i am installing it now on a pad and a phone, and will see if it works.
With a bluetooth method, you need both devices in the same place. If you are trying to send your file across country, bluetooth will not work for you. you need e mail or drop box type solution, and if the file is big, you will almost certainly need wifi.

How to move contacts from one account to another

I have 2 exchange accounts configured in my iPhone, one Corp exchange account and one personal exchange account, both have Contacts sync enabled.
I noticed somehow all of new created Contacts are under Corp account, these Contacts do not show up on my iPad / Mac which only have personal account.
How can I move the selected Contacts from Corp account to personal account?
How can I choose which account to use when I create a new Contact?

I can answer your second question but I share your problem related to the first question.
In answer to your second question:
To make sure that new contacts go into the desired account:
1.     Go to Settings
2.     Select "Mail, Contacts, Calendars"
3.     Scroll down to "Contacts"
4.     Select the last item in the group, "Default Account"
5.     A list of the accounts on your iPad will appear. Select the account that you want to use for your new contacts.
If you solve the problem of moving existing contacts from one account to another, I'd love to hear about it.

You can't do it directly on the iPad - the new album functionality basically only allows you to copy photos into those new albums, you can't move them. The way that I think of it as working is that you are just creating pointers to the photos in those new albums, so if you then delete the original photo on the iPad you therefore automatically delete all the pointers to it.
If you want to re-organise your albums then you will need to do it on your computer and then sync those albums over to the iPad

Can I copy clips from one project to another? The clips are frames saved as stills from a video event. I try the copy & paste but it does not seem to work.

The video was converted into MP4 and then I could get it into iMovie events. I had right clicked and saved farmes as stills. ABout 50 of them, When I tried to copy and paste those stills into another project I couldn't. They came up blank.
I ended up going to a Genius appointment at my APPLE store this afternoon and was told that those "stills" aren't really anything. Not a .jpg or video, so the program doesn't recognize them. So instead I'm using the Project with the 50 stills and copying other .jpgs and video into it. (This is for a 1961 Class Reunion, so it's old stuff). Seems to work so far.
So bottom line seems to be I can use these stills created from a video in the project in which they were created, but no where else. Do you know a way around this?

You can also call a custom DTSX package in SSIS via the datamanager.
there are at least 5 ways of transfering data in BPC between apps.
1. Through the front end (excel etc) via evdre/evsnds
2. Through Script logic using *Dest App
3. Using BPC's standard export dtsx package via DM
4. Using SSIS using BPC's custom SSIS tasks
5. Through Script logic using stored procs.
i am sure people will come up with more.
remember if you use ssis and move data into any table but the wb, you need to process the cube afterwards.

The iPhone is designed to sync contact info with a supported address book application on your computer. With Windows, this can be with Outlook 2003 or 2007, or with the address book used by Outlook Express with XP, or the with the address book used by Windows Mail with Vista - which is the name change for Outlook Express with Vista.
With a Mac, this can be with the Address Book application, or with the Entourage address book - MS's equivalent for Outlook with a Mac.
Before syncing contact info with a supported address book on a computer that is not currently being used - the supported address book is empty, you need to enter one contact in the supported address book - make the contact up if needed, which will be deleted later. This will provide a merge prompt when syncing contact info with the supported address book, which you want to select.

Mass Migration of Contacts from One Org to Another

Hi All
I have requirement to migrate dozens or hundreds of party relationship (organization contact) records from one organization to another. For example, if BONY Mellon sells a business unit to JP Morgan Chase, there may be hundreds of BONY contacts that need to be moved to JPM. Today that process is manual - the contacts need to be re-keyed. Is there any API(TCA) is available to migrate the contacts?

Go to your Finder "Go" menu hold the option key to choose "Library" > Go to Application Support/Address Book and copy that folder to the corresponding spot on your other Mac.
Be sure you either delete or overwrite the old folder.

I want to copy filters from one account to another, in particular to the main account.

I have some filters I imported from Eudora to Thunderbird. I want these filters to work on all accounts. I know that I can copy msgFilterRules.dat from one account to another, but there seems to be no entry in my profile folder for one account. It is my main account and was created when I imported from Eudora. There is a file named global-messages-db.sqlite which seems to contain many messages for the "missing" account, but there is no entry in the profile folder>Mail folder for that main account.

Is the main account an IMAP mail account? Then it will be under the 'IMAPMail' folder. Local folders and Pop mail accounts are under 'Mail' folder.
You can check where the main account is pointing to so to locate it.
Tools > Account Settings > Server Settings for the main account.
look bottom right under 'Local directory'.

HELP: Copying layers from one file to another to keep structure not possible??!!!

I have a curious question. Sounds a bit silly and highly disappointed if Illustrator is actually not capable of doing this. Hopefully I have missed something.
I have an AI doc that has grown so large that saving it now is a major effort so trying to break out sections into multiple AI files. Allot of users will be working on these files so it is imperative that all the Artboard elements are clearly organized in the appropriate folders (layers). Im trying to simply copy and paste a layer that has multiple layers beneath and within those more layers to another empty AI file. Everything copies correctly and in place however it dumps all the elements into a single massive layer in the new file. If I go into the Layer Palette menu and check on Paste Remembers Layers it does a better job at keeping some of the structure but it still doesnt copy exactly how the structure was in the Master document.
Please tell me Im doing something wrong. I cant believe that you cant simply drag and drop a parent layer from one file to another while maintaining its structure! Exactly like in Photoshop - copying a folder from one file to another is simply as easy as dragging and dropping ...is this same methodology not available with Illustrator? I always assumed the layer and folder concept between these two packages were somewhat interchangeable.

Hi All,
After much trial and error trying to locate where the problem was it ended up being the guide objects. If you have the guides set to lock and attempt to copy out any layer that a guide is sitting in the resulting copy/paste will break apart that layer structure in the destination file. Simply setting the guides unlock allows everything to translate correctly.
You guys may have known about it already but I learnt a little something in the process. Thanks to all for your suggestions!

I want to create a "batch file" that will copy files from one folder into another, overwriting what is currently in there.

I've got a game that has a folder with Saved Games (Okay, it's Minecraft). I don't always have my external drives because I take my Mac Mini from my house to my friend's house and of course back after we finish playing.
There are times where I want a back up so that if something happens we can restore it as easily as possible.
What I've been doing is copying the particular saved game and pasting it to my desktop, replacing the new backup over the old backup. I'd like to be able to create a "batch file" so that I can just double-click on it and it will copy and paste overwriting the old version.
Since this is being automated I've been thinking. It would be nice to have 10 backups which I would like to have numbered from 1 to 10 (and not 0 to 9).
I'd like the batch file to delete backup 10 then rename backup 9 to 10 and 8 to 9 and so forth until backup 1 becomes backup 2 and then my live copy then gets copied to my desktop. I guess that one really doesn't need a number after it. It can have the exact same name.
Don't worry about automating the restore. I just want the backup part of it automated. I'm not a UNIX guy but I've tried to figure it out and it is just not working. So ... if someone out there can reply with a solution for me that would be great.
Extra credit for automatically compressing the backups with the built in compression utility so my backups use less space.

That is possible. An adjustment layer must be over a layer. The layer that it is over can have its visibility off but there needs to at least two layers in your (adjustment_layer.psd) file. For you can not have and adjustment layer without a layer to adjust.
Are all your PSD file the same in size x px by y px at z DPI?
It would be easy to create an action just to add the adjustment layer you want if your (adjustment_layer.psd) file adjustment layer, layer mask is a reveal all or hide all mask. You can Batch the action or use the Image processor script and have it include your action that add the adjustment layer you do not need to write a script.
I would also record that action to add the adjustment layer clipped to the layer below. There is a bug in CS4 and CS5 Action Player. Actions that have recorded adding adjustment layers to be applied to all layers below may play incorrectly. You will have to pay to get a fix for this bug for Adobe is not going to apply a fix the the current releases of Photoshop. The bug is so far slated to be fixed in CS6 time will tell.

Mountain Lion: Copying mailbox from one user to another user on the same mac

When I bought the mac I had only one email address. Since then I have accumulated 3 more addresses. I created another User on the same MAC to seperate the personal emails from the 3 new email addresses, that I use for business.
There are some mailboxes from the 1st account that has business information in them that I want to move to the 2nd User account (with the 3 e-mail addresses). I though that I could save them in the dropbox and then save them into the 2nd User accounts like I did with the documents and spreadsheets, but this does not work.
I really need to separate the Family Personal email information from the Busines Information and I do not want to just send lots and lots of emails to the accounts to get them there.
I am not using Cloud at the moment because it created some syncing issues. Because the 1st User Account and email account is synced with an iPad and iPhone that my wife uses with an Apple ID. The 2nd User (and 3 mail addresses) are synced with my iPhone and a separate Apple ID. We have separate ID's because she did not want my personal & business contacts seeping into the family email accounts
I know that this is long, but I wanted to provide as much information as possible, so that I can resolve this.

I spent quite a few hours after this was posted trying to figure it out and I did.
Select Mailbox > Export Mailbox. This asks you a location to export the mailboxes to. It just uploads the exported mailboxes into Dropbox.
Then change the User that I want to import the mailboxes into. Select Import and select the location of where you placed the folder in Dropbox. This then imports the mailbox into a folder called Import. You then drag and drop the copied mailboxes from the Import folder to the folder in the structure you have. If you decide to delete the folders from the import folder list, do this. You can also delete the copied folders from Dropbox if you wish.
Took a while, but I got there and I'm happy now....

Several ways:
You can plug your old phone into your computer, back up it's data, and restore your new phone from that backup, and it will basically behave and have everything your phone has. The only bug is that you have to manually put your videos apps and music on the phone. Don't worry, when you redownload your apps, they will still have all their data from the backup.
You simply email them over wifi by opening each individual contact and pressing "share". You just eamail them to yourself and open the email and download them on your new phone.
If you are running iOS 5 on both iPhones, you can try iMessaging them to your new phone using the same share button and pressing "message".
One of the simplest ways for iOS 5 users. Use the iCloud. Just turn iCloud on for contacts on both iPhones and make sure it is off on all other iOS devices. You just open your Contacts app and they should all appear there. If you would like to then turn off iCloud on your iPhones you may, just be sure to press the keep contacts button when turning it off so you don't lose them.
