Can I set site mailbox email address with different domains in sharepoint online - office 365?
For eg I have two dns link with office 365 account - abc.com, xyz.com
So can i set site mailbox email according using powershell like follwoing
New-SiteMailbox –DisplayName "test" -Name "[email protected]" –SharePointUrl $NewlyCreatedsiteurl
New-SiteMailbox –DisplayName "test" -Name "[email protected]" –SharePointUrl $NewlyCreatedsiteurl

Same users email address, but different domain

I would like to create with EMC a user who already exist in the AD. The difference is I want him on a different domain.
eg [email protected] and [email protected]
Is it possible to do this with EMC? If yes, could you please explain how?

Yes this is possible in one of 2 ways. You will also need to make sure that the domain is listed under accepted domains in the Organizational Settings --> Hub Transport and that you are authaoritative for it.
The first way is in EMC, locate the user's mailbox and go to properties --> e-mail addresses tab and at the bottom uncheck the box for update e-mail addresses. You can then type in the address that you would like the user to have, and set to primary
if desired.
The second way, if you have the need for more than one user or an automated approach is to create or edit an existing e-mail address policy to have that domain and the address format that you are specifying.

Two "From"-Addresses with different domains

Hi Forum,
what is your best practice to setup two available sender-addresses for one Account?
My first thought was to create a new PO with a new domain.
Then I can setup all users which are already existing in the first PO.
After that I give every user proxy rights to its corresponding user in the second PO.
Now every User can click on the "From"-field an choose the other address.
For sure they also have to choose the correct signature!
IMHO that should work?!
Any other suggestions would be appreciated :)

that's correct. and if I remember correct, you have to create the second domain via c1 and allocate it to an account.
After that the account will use the second email address/domain as sender address. Unfortunately the user can't switch on demand between two addresses as you need c1 with appropriate rights...
You second solution would be one way to make the user able to switch easy and fast between two sender addresses without the need for a second licence.
However I have to add an pop3/imap account to be able to set up a smtp account.
(Besides: as a default you can only add such accounts ins the caching mode and I don't know if this settings are persistent if you move a user to a different workstation or something else)
No offence but that seems more like a workaround than a feature to me ;)
I was hoping novel offers a easy/better way to use a second sender address... maybe I expected too much :)
I guess in that case your second solution would be the best way...
Wonder how other mail clients would handle such demands....

Send email from workflow using a variable in the to field in SharePoint Online (Office 365)

I have a simple sharepoint workflow that sends and email to users. I know that the mail portion works because I can put a user's email address in the to: field and it sends fine. If I use a string variable with the email address, I get a workflow
error.
Simple steps to repro for me:
Create a new workflow in SPD (I have tried a list workflow and site workflow)
Create a workflow variable named email.
Set the variable to an email address where the user is in the site
Send email and do a variable lookup to the email variable just set.
The workflow just hangs in this scenario
I do get an error:
Retrying last request. Next attempt scheduled in less than one minute. Details of last request: HTTP BadRequest to https://[tenant].sharepoint.com/_api/sp.utilities.utility.SendEmail

Simple answer... When I used the variable, I marked it as a string. There is an email address setting.

Is Office Home and Business 2013 fully compatible with Sharepoint Online (Office 365)?

My client recently upgraded 3 Windows 7 PCs (2-32 & 1-64-bit OS) from Office 2007 32-bit (which was actually working fine against Exchange/SharePoint Online) to Office Home and Business 2013 (32-bit)
Now, for all 3 PCs, while Office 2013 Word/Excel can open, check out/in, and save SharePoint Online files, there is ALWAYS a 2 minute delay in closing the file which is apparently waiting for the Local Security Authority call to return. This seems
to indicate an issue related to SharePoint security on the client side.

The "slow close" problem can be demonstrated on multiple site collections/sub sites and w/Excel & Word docs in doc libs and lists
After many hours capturing information, following the MS Office trouble shooting guides, and repairing the Office install, I've had no luck in resolving this.While Word/Excel will eventually close SharePoint Online files after about
2 minutes, this is certainly unacceptable. Otherwise, locally stored files close normally and new files were created by the Office 2013 Excel/Word for this testing.
Any thoughts or guidance would be appreciated.

I couldn't find the document mentioned there is any compatibility between Office365 SharePoint online and Office Home and Business 2013 version, I would recommend that you check if the issue could be reproduced on other Win7 machines installed with Office
Home and Business 2013 installed directly instead of upgrading from Office2007, see if issue is related to Office application upgrade.
I also recommend that you post this issue on our dedicated Office365 SharePoint online forum and Office 2013 forum for a better assistance with more experts regarding this issue from the following links.

Consuming REST Services from Sharepoint Online (office 365) with jquery

I hosted Rest services in one server but i am consuming the REST Service through jquery which is using from sharepoint online.
while consuming i am getting the error like "Blocked cross domain ........ "
another exception like since we are calling from https(sharepoint online) to http(other server) , so the problem will be like..
any body having any idea to solve the cross domain issue to access the http from https call.

Migrating SP 2010 to SharePoint Online (Office 365) - Site Template issue - Any advice?

I am migrating our SP 2010 site collection to O365 SharePoint Online. The new sites do not show up fine, I suspect this is because I am choosing wrong site templates. Any advice on this will be appreciated.

You can test this if you open your office 365 site in your browser, and then off IE menu, view source, and search for
g_wsaSiteTemplateId
then you can see what that results in, possibly g_wsaSiteTemplateId = BLANKINTERNET#0'
do same steps for your SharePoint site, if they have the same value for g_wsaSiteTemplateId, you'll need to export content granually, each list and library and then upload to your Office 365. There are 3rd party tools out there that will do this for
you too. for ex,

Per my understanding, you might want to remove the link “new item or edit this list” of a list view web part using Client Object Model.
As there is no such property in
WebPart object can be used to hide/remove the link, I suggest you apply custom CSS style to the page which contains the list view
web part to hide it.

HT201342 Can I have different email address with my iCloud mailbox

I have a website and would like to have my email address with the same name ex: [email protected] linked to my iCloud mailbox. Is it possible?

iCloud handles only its own email addresses - @icloud.com only for new accounts, and @mac.com and @me.com for people who already have them. It doesn't interact with other email accounts.
What you can do is to set up forwarding at the other account so that messages are forwarded to iCloud (I should set it also to retain the messages on the server if I were you). This will enable you to check the messages using your iCloud account, though there is only any point in all this if you are doing it online at icloud.com because you are away from home. If you are at home you can more easily just receive the messages straight from the account.
However you should note that in replying to messages received on iCloud you cannot respond using the other account's address as the 'From' address - you can only use the iCloud address.

Roger, I didn't know that "Delete Account" was synonymous with "log out". Yes, I had deleted my iCloud account in my iPad email settings more than once yesterday and again one more time after I read your reply. I then followed the instructions below to log off on my Windows PC. I found these when I searched for how to log off of iCould:
1- Go to www.iCloud.com
2- Sign in with your current login info
3- Click on your user name on top right corner
4- Select account setting
5- Select "Advanced."
6- Click 2nd option, "Sign Out Of All Browsers."
I also scanned settings for all the other apps on my iPad and changed a couple that still had my old sbcglobal email address. Later, I noticed that I was able to see my old previous iCloud emails in iCloud.com, and the couple of messages that I received from this Support Community site, but still no new emails. Suddenly the emails started rolling in again this morning. I have 7 new ones at the moment. I sort of expected to get a backlog of emails from yesterday, but something tells me those were all lost as "undeliverable". I don't know who or exactly what did the trick, but the issue seems to be fixed. I'm using my new Apple ID, and I'm glad I don't have to get all new iCloud alias email addresses after all.

Is there ANY way to use another email address with iCloud?

Apple let you use any email address as an Apple ID, but I really want to be able to use a non-Apple email address with my iCloud mail. Just about every email service (Gmail, Hotmail, etc) allows you to send from a third-party address (once you've done a security verification) so that you don't have to change your email address when switching services. iCloud seems to have no such option. Is there any way round this, or any way to put pressure on Apple to add this basic feature???
