Hi, i have an All in One printer 276dw, and came across a youtuber saying printing in draft wears the printheads more than printing in high quality, is this right?

My gym kit locker is on the other side of the wall from the steam room. I am sure that the temperature never falls below 80-90 F. Is this bad for the battery life? Does extended storage in such a location damage the iPod itself?

Well, I will say it is unwise that store your iPod in a hot location. It will probably shorten its life. Can you find a cooler place to store it?

  • Surgeon General Warning to T60p: Smoking Is Bad For Your Health!

I currently have a T60p (with Flexview , but last weekend I was sitting on the couch with it on my lap working away and all of a sudden it started smoking and that nasty plastic/electronic burning smell filled the room //! I immediately unplugged it and took the battery out; I was not sure what to do at that point. I booted it with no batttery in it and it booted fine, but the HD activity light now remains solid (lit). I tried putting the battery in one more time and it started smoking again, and I have not tried to put my existing battery (or any other battery) since then. The battery is a 9-cell battery that was a replacement for my original "recalled" battery (less than a year old). I'm not sure what to do with it at this point. I removed keyboard, palmrest, etc. and could not find any physical damage or burning, so maybe the smoke was coming from the battery? I don't know.  Either way it is a serious safety concern.
I should also note that the day this happened, the battery would not charge when plugged into ac.  Vista stated something like 'plugged In, Not Charging'.  I rarely use my notebook without AC power. I use a docking station at work and plug it in when I'm using it at home. When the issue occured, I was using it on battery at my relatives house because I wasn't near a convenient outlet. The battery was working fine, but it got down to 6% and still would not charge when plugged in.
Thanks in advance for your input.

Thanks for your reply.  As I stated previously, my machine boots up fine without the battery (with the exception of the HD light remaining solid).  I have been using ThinkPads since the late 90's and also manage a computer department that currently has about 20 ThinkPads of various models "out in the field" (A20p all the way to T61p). I am quite familiar with ThinkPads and have repaired them, swapped parts out etc. for years. However, I have never had nor am I familiar with dealing with a power problem of this nature which is why I'm seeking advice on these forums.
The only reason I add this is to point out that I am not a "newbie" or "non-technical" type.
I've been on the phone with Lenovo much of this morning regarding this issue (and getting quite frustrated ). All I've gotten so far is basically "It's not under warranty so send it in and we'll fix it for somewhere between $175 and $575". On one hand they are right, but on the other hand this is a serious safety issue that should not occur regardless of whether it is in or out of warranty.  Look at safety issues with cars and other consumer products for example.
And just for the record, I would consider a battery blowing up in my lap a bit more messy than a delay in shipment, etc.

  • Is bluetooth bad for your health?

Hello, I have just purchased an Apple wireless keyboard, and it says to connect it via bluetooth. Previousely I read about the dangers od using a bluetooth device, and am now wondering is it bad for my health or not?

The Bluetooth signal is extremely weak as far as it's intensity is concerned.  By comparison, a cellphone signal is of considerably higher intensity (the transmitter in a cell phone is about 1/16th of a watt) and cellphones are considered to be non-hazardous.  In the full context of the many kinds of radio signals flying around these days, there is absolutely no reason to worry about the Bluetooth keyboard.  BTW, I'm typing this on my Apple Bluetooth keyboard.

  • BADI for populating the Header data in MIRO

    Dear Gurus,
I have tried to find the BADI for MIRO transaction as I want to populate the RKBP-XBLNR (Reference), RKBP-BUPLA (Business Place), RBKP-SECCO (Section Code) automatically. But I am unable to find any BADI to do this.
    Kindly advice,
    Thanks,
    Sam

    Hi ,
You can try Business Add In 'INVOICE_UPDATE'.
But with some modifications as said in note 392342
    Check the below part
    Solution
If the data changed in the BAdI is supposed to be returned to the MIRO,
this can only be executed by a program modification of BAdI
'INVOICE_UPDATE' and function module 'MRM_BADI_INVOICE_CHECK'. Contact
    the remote consulting for this.

  • Is it bad for your display to run it on full brightness?

I have a MacBook Pro 1,1. It is getting to be a little older, so just as a precaution, I am wondering if it is it bad to run the display on full brightness all the time? Also, being that I have been running my display on full brightness for a long period of time, I have forgotten how to make the display change brightness due to changes in ambient lighting. How do I make my display change with ambient lighting, like it did when it was fresh out of the box? Answers to both questions would be great!
    Thanks,
    Nate

Let me correct myself the above instructions are for the keyboard (I thought it was for both). To do the same for the display:
    -go to System Preferences
    -select Displays
-If not already in the "Display" tab, click it
-check the box "Automatically adjust brightness as ambient light changes"
As a personal note, I could not stand this option, as my hand would sometimes cast shadows on one of the sensors and (so it seemed) my display would randomly change brightness. This is not good if you use your laptop in an environment where light comes primarily from one direction...such as a lamp nearby w/no or little overhead lighting, in the corner of a room where light is at an angle, outdoors in the late afternoon/early morning, and many other occasions.
    Hope I helped!

  • N85 - Bad for your hearing!!

    Hi All,
I can't find anyway to go with my issue here on Nokia website so I think the best I can do is to inform you all until they update their software.
I just want to tell you to be aware when you are using your new lovely Nokia N85. It can damage your hearing!
When you are calling some friend and listening on the "hold-tone" do NOT increase the volume!! If your friend (or how ever) cant take your call and denies your call it will be a very loud “busy-tone”!
I have a constant whistle in my ear at the moment. Hopefully it will turn better (it did last time).
So, Nokia, Please! Do something immediately! You can be happy that I'm from Sweden, and not America (I'm not going to sue you, not now…)
    Solved!

  • Are 3d games bad for your iphone?

do 3d games damage your iphone? don't wont to play them too much and knacker my iphone out!

I went last sunday to the store in victoria gardens and there was a very small line. I was told I did not qualify. I have not taken the time to contact at&t directly, but some of the retail stores have told me that I am eligible. And I purchased my iphone feb 22nd of 08. I did not have a contract with at&t prior to that.

  • Is in-car charging BAD for your phone?

I've heard some phone retailers say that because the current generated by cars are 'not stable', charging phones in-car will degenerate the battery - some even suggest it may damage the phone long-term.
    Is this true/proven?
Is this more likely if you use third party in-car chargers, versus original Nokia in-car chargers?
    Appreciate insights on this matter.
My E71 is such a battery hog with 3G Push Mail, that it's almost a given that I need to top-up the battery while on the go.
    Thanks.

    Hi asharom
As long as you use Nokia in-car charger and perhaps avoid connection when starter motor is being cranked, I can't really see a problem. Personally I have been using Nokia CK-300 which has an integral phone charging lead.
Happy to have helped forum in a small way with a Support Ratio = 37.0

  • BADI for sales order header level data

Is there any BADI which will give me the sales order header level data? I need net price of the sales order in header level. KOMK structure does not contains the net price value.

    My requirement is:
I am writing a pricing routine for calculating ZSMR condition value in sales order header level. The formula for calculating is (NET PRICE / NET SALES COST) / NET PRICE.
I can't use VBAK  because I have not saved the sales order yet. I need to use some structure.
Which structure contains the net price of the sales order in header level. KOMK structure does not contains the net price value.

    Thanks

    HI,
You can find the BADI your self, Check the class CL_EXITHANDLER.
follow the below steps to find the suitable BADI for your case ..
    1) Goto se24 (Display class cl_exithandler)
    2) Double click on the method GET_INSTANCE.
    3) Put a break point at Line no.25 (CASE sy-subrc).
    Now
    4) Execute SAP standard transaction
    5) Press the required button for which you need to write an exit logic, the execution will stop at the break point.
    6) Check the values of variable 'exit_name', it will give you the BADI name called at that time.
    7) This way you will find all the BADIs called on click of any button in any transaction
if you follow this 7 steps, you will find a suitable BADI.

  • Glossy Screen bad for eyes?

Well, I am planning to get a macbook pro very soon. And I know a friend who can get a small discount off it and I asked him for a macbook pro with glossy screen and he just emailed me saying that glossy screen is bad for your eyes in the long run due to the glare from it. He knows this because his wife works at a LCD company or something. Are they correct? Because I know glossy screen makes the color and images sharper.

Well, I'm no expert in the field of LCD screens. I prefer the matte screen for one reason alone: antiglare. I never know where I will be using the laptop, so I prefer a screen that will help block glare. The glossy screens artificially enhance the image, so any graphics work may be slightly off. I've noticed that this matte screen is a bit different from matte screens of the past. It seems to be more of a luster (cross between glossy and matte).
But, it truly is a matter of personal preference. Stop by an Apple Store and look at both. Some college campuses have their own versions of Apple Stores, if there is one near you, go to the bookstore and see if they have both on display.
    Good Luck!
