Is QT7Pro Registration Code Good for Multiple Computers?

If I purchase the Quick Time 7 Pro for $29.99 and get my registration code, am I able to download and use the software on both my home desktop as well as my desktop at work?

You have to purchase QT Pro for each computer

  • Having one iTunes music library for multiple computers via TimeCapsule

    Hi there,
I'm just wondering how to best set-up my iTunes library. I want the library on my TimeCapsule wireless hard drive, and to be able to set this as the library for multiple computers at home. It's a waste of space to have duplicate libraries on both computers.I had this working with an earlier version of iTunes, but its not working now.
I also want to know how I can get the wireless device to fire up simply by pressing the iTunes icon. If I do this without, iTunes says it can't find the library.
    Thanks.

Frank, yes. Only one library of the songs and content if it's stuff from the Music Store.
If the music is your own CD rips, then you can put all the music on a central server and have all the computers connect in on your home network.
You do NOT set your iTunes to share their libraries, or look for shared libraries, you manually do the drag-and-drop with your networked music folder into the iTunes library window and each copy of iTunes behaves as if the network volume is it's own.
The only shortcoming to this is if you add music with one machine, the others will NOT have the new songs added to their own library lists unless you drag and drop the songs into the iTunes library manually for each computer.
I have enough music that I have broken down the library list into five folders, A-E, F-J, K-O, P-T, and U-Z. When I add new songs, the folders they're in will be added at the root Music Library folder level, so I can refresh the libraries with the new music THEN manually file it into one of those five correct folders.
This is what my network library looks like:
http://home.comcast.net/~foodandart/Network%20Library.jpg - you can see that I haven't added the Clapton, BBC, Roxy Music, etc, to the library lists for the entire house.
The G4 frankenbeast computer in our living room, is the media server for the house and has the stereo system rigged through it and is used to rip vinyl and watch the video. I still have to refresh the libraries in my husband's laptop, and on my main internet computer, so those albums haven't been filed yet.
Of course the caveat here is that I haven't a single item that's purchased through the Music Store and thusly locked down, since I rip my own LP's and CD's, so everything is much more flexible in how I can handle it.
    Deb.

  • Using one library for multiple computers and accounts (not store accounts)

Okay, we currently have four macs in the house. One was recently bought: i7 iMac (late 2009), another is dying: (mid 2005 iMac), another is going somewhere else: (late 2006 iMac) and another is a laptop: C2D MBP (late 2008). We might add another computer into the mix some time later.
Anyway, what I want to do is have one iTunes library which all of the computers can access (even guest's/friend's computers). We have a Time Capsule, and as I have heard one can make the TC the HDD for the iTunes library, I thought it best for it to be there.
The only thing is, how can each computer (and the possible multiple accounts) each access the same library, without duplicating and messing anything up? Is that possible? If it is too hard for multiple computers to do this, I would still want the (late 2009) iMac to be able to use the same library for the two accounts on it.
    Thanks.

Make sure everything you want to share is on the centralized drive (music, video, and books, but if any of you have mobile devices, keep the apps on your local drive). Mount the drive on your computer. (Remember, from now on you must do this before starting iTunes.) If iTunes isn't running, start it now.
At the moment iTunes thinks the library is on the local computer and has all the music on it so that has to be changed. Click on Music in the left window pane, select all, and delete. This deletes all the music from the library and, if you choose, from the computer too. (Until you are sure this set-up is to your liking, don't delete the music from the drive.) Now go to Preferences and select the Advanced tab. Set iTunes to look at the music folder on your shared drive. And finally, select File>Add to Library to repopulate your iTunes library. This could take a while if you have a large music collection.
Since you changed the music location, anything that is added to one person's library will be saved onto the shared drive so it isn't too much of a hassle to manually add music. You'll have to rebuild playlists which is a minor hassle but it’s a one time deal.

  • For multiple computers (3) three, do we need to pay $29. for each machine?

For multiple computers, 3 (Three) to be precise, do we need to pay $29.00 for each computer you want to upgrade to the new operating system X-LION?

As Linc points out you do not need to purchase a separate copy for each computer.
In order to update all three follow these steps:
All of your computers must be running OS X 10.6.7 (better is 10.6.8)
Pay for the update and download it and install it on one computer.
On each of the other computers, go to the Mac App store and sign in to it using the same account that you used to purchase the upgrade to the first computer.
In the App store, at the top of the page look for the Purchased icon and click it.
You will see a list of apps you have purchased including Lion. Select Lion and look for the INSTALL button to the right of it. Click that button.
Let it install Lion on the other computers.
    Enjoy.
Hope this gets you where you need to go.

  • Can you buy a plan for multiple computers?

Can you buy a plan for multiple computers? For just one price and one account?

MBAs do not have user replaceable batteries. I'm not sure you could even buy third-party replacement batteries. You may be able to purchase an Apple part through places like ifixit.com.

I just got InDesign CS6 and am running it on an iMac and I know the license is good for two computers which will come in very handy for me.  How do I set it up to access it from my second iMac?

I just had an afterthought, Peter, if I could bother you further; if the downstairs iMac that I want to access it from is in my wife's name and not mine (even though I'll be the one using it on her computer) does that affect anything or can I simply load the software straight into her computer without any complications?

  • Using single iTunes library for multiple computers

With the new Airport Disk utility, can I attach an external hard drive with my iTunes library and have multiple computers point to that library as the library for each?

    just to clarify...
Use ONE computer and ONE COMPUTER ONLY for purchasing / adding new content to the 'master' iTunes library area. Use ANY OTHER COMPUTER that's looking at that 'master' iTunes library for reading (playing back).
Yes. If you can enforce it by "persuasion", not software
Would there be a conflict if someone rates songs from other computers etc?
Yes. If they both rate at the same time.

  • HT2240 May I use the same registration code on all the computers in my home

May I use the same registration code for QuickTime 7 on my additional computers in my home

Hi, moih, and welcome to the Community,
Yes, your account travels with you from device to device, but please remember this: each of you must have your own Skype account in order to speak with each other.  In other words, you can not call your own Skype account.
Likewise, the software works for anyone who signs on to use it; the software is not associated with any particular Skype account name.
    Make sense?

  • How do I open the same ports on an Airport Extreme Base Station for multiple computers at the same time?

    As the title suggests...
I have a mix of five Mac and PC's at home using an Airport Extreme Base Station as the router.   I need many ports opened on the AEBS for all of the computers- not just one computer.  (for example: three people want to play TF2 on Steam at the same time; each machine needs the correct ports open on the router).   Port forwarding  only allows me to forward a given port to a single IP, yet I need that port open for five differnt IP's, all at the same time.
How do I do that on an AEBS?
In the same way, I have a small office of four iMacs using an old airport with the same exact issue.   I would like to be able to connect to all of them remotely with Apple Remote Desktop, but the port forwarding on the airport only allows a port to forward to a single IP.   I want to be able to tunnel into the office network and log onto any machine behind the Airport extreme... not just a single IP.    I currently have it set up where I can tunnel into the office from my house, I can find the one machine that the port forwarding has been assigned to, I can log on and everything is just fine... with one machine.    How do I open the firewall for the other machines?
TL,DR version:  How do you open ports on an Airport Extreme Base Station instead of forwarding ports?   Forwarding ports doesn't work for multiple IP's.

You can open a single or multiple ports to a single device or different ports to different devices, but you cannot open the same port to multiple devices via the AirPort Utility for the Apple routers.

  • Return Code - Query for Multiple Rows as XML

    Hi,
I'm executing an MSSQL stored procedure through the "Query for Multiple Rows as XML" activity in LiveCycle ES. I do this through a call statement such as this:
    { call MyStoredProc(?) }
This works great, the stored procedure always returns a record set (with or without records). I use this activity rather than "Call Stored Procedure" because I can transform the record set into XML right away within this activity. Unfortunately any exception arising from invoking this stored procedure cannot be handled within the workflow as this activity does not have an exception handler (lightning bolt). In an attempt to handle at least some exceptions we have decided to use try/catches within the stored procedures and return different error codes. Now the problem I am faced with is that there is no way to retrieve the returned code within any of the SQL activities. We don't want to have to write an execute script for each of these SQL calls. Is there any way to do this? Seems like I'm 95% there.
    Thanks
    Nic

Thanks for the offer, unfortunately we would need something certified by Adobe.

  • Install disk for multiple computers

    Hi,
My wife just got a new mac book pro today with the Leopard install disk.
I have a mac book pro with Tiger on it. Can I use her disk to install Leopard on my computer, or do I need to buy a separate Leopard install disk for me?
    Thanks!

You need to purchase Leopard. Not only are you not legally allowed to use her disk to install on your system it may not work and could mess your system up
Only Family Packs are authorized to install on multiple computers

  • Can I setup common iPhoto library for multiple computers...

    Hi -
Is it possible to have one library that is accessible from multiple computers in different locations? For example, my office Mac, my home Powerbook and our vacation home iMAC can all share the same photo library? I am downloading pictures from many different sources and in different locations and would like a centralized library.. I guess this would be the equivalent of cloud computing for iPhoto...
    Thanks,
    M.

Possibly. I've not used the feature but if you have a MMe account you could setup "Back to my Mac" so that two of your Macs could access the Mac designated to house the library you might be able to do what you want. It would be best to have an external FW hard drive connected to that library to house the library.
I've used an iPhoto library on my iMac from my laptop on our home WAN. But that was with Screen Sharing. Don't know if the Back to My Mac method would work.
I've used VNC to connect to my iMac from the laptop but don't know if that will let me add photos to the library there as that method has me virtually on the iMac. You could try it with a test library and one of the VNC applications. I use Chicken of VNC. You must setup Remote Management under Sharing on the host computer and install CVNC on the remote Macs. Create a test library and give it a try. Both with VNC and Back to My Mac if you have it.
If any of the two satellite Macs would be wirelessly connected that will be a problem due to occasional dropouts. If a wireless Mac was using the library and had a dropout that could damage the library's database and require some rebuilding effort which may or may not be 100% effective. That connection would also be slow.
If they are hard wired to the internet it would be much more probable that it would work as you'd like and be more reliable.
An alternative method for "syncing" the libraries (if you have a MMe account) would be to create iPhoto MMe galleries of new photos from each Mac with the option for downloading the full sized image file. Once each Mac has downloaded and imported the new photos the gallery could be deleted.

  • Program to organize/edit images for multiple computers

    Hi!
I have an image bank I need to organize and share with multiple computers at work. Right now, it's all sitting on an external drive where all the image files are in folders. I'd love to use Lightroom, but I understand it only works for one computer??
I would appreciate anykind of guidance and advice.
    Thanks in advance!

Lightroom is a single-user application. Multiple user access on a network is not supported.
Daminion is a true multi-user application, supporting networked access. (This is not an endorsement of any kind, as I have never used it, I simply state that is has the feature you are looking for)
