Is R.U.S.E. no longer bundled with the 610-1280qd CTO?
I don’t find the R.U.S.E. game on my 610-1280qd CTO Prod No. QB912AV#ABA that I just received direct from HP. Is it still available from HP? If so can you give a link to order/download it?
Hi, I'm really frustrated. I was just contacted by a case manager from HP that told me specifically that the 610 quad touchsmart PCsare not supposed to have R.U.S.E. Touchsmart edition installed. So, therefore, she will not send me the software for my newly out-of-the box 610 quad touchsmart PC, because those are "not supposed to come with RUSE". I don't believe it.
Now, according to the features listed for 610s, RUSE is one of them. Well, what should I do? I've asked to get this escalated even further, but, she said that's as far as one can escalate... she's a case manager. So, anyone have any ideas how to get this going?
Last night, I had an HP rep confirm that it really wasn't sitting on my machine. That rep indicated that it would have to go to a case manager who would send me out the copy.
Any help anyone can provide, I'd appreciate it. Any HP staff on here that can take my info and figure out how to get this resolved? II can provide order info, etc offline if needed.
This was my first experience dealing with HP for computers, and so far, I'm not happy.

Hello, I've updated the iPhone I have got I have a problem I hope you respond to some of the applications no longer work, such as the safari and skype and many applications are no longer working with the ios7.0.4
Standard troubleshooting...
1. Try a Restart by pressing the sleep/lock button until you see the slider. Slide to power off. Restart by pressing the sleep/lock button until you see the Apple logo.
2. Try a Reset by pressing the home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.
3. Remove apps from Recently Used (multi-tasking) list...
- From any Home Screen, double tap the home button to bring up the Recents List
- Swipe up on the app preview card to remove it from the list
- Press the home button when done.
4. If still a problem restore with your backup.
5. If still a problem restore as new, i.e. without your backup. See how it runs with nothing synced to it.
6. If still a problem, it's likely a hardware issue. -
Itunes will no longer open with the error message MSVCR80.dII is missing from the computer, and I'm advised to reinstall itunes but that hasn't worked. What else can I try?

My iMessage and some of my applications no longer work with the new software update. How do I fix this?
I called Apple Support after trying many fixes suggested online. They directed me to the procedure on the following page:

I did the erase and restore option they suggested since I had tried a pile of ther things suggested on posts and blogs and they did not work. I even waited the obligatory 24 hours, thus the restore from backup option was what they suggested. I have a 64gig iPhone 4S and it took about 1.5 hours to complete the entire operation seeing that I am using about 54 gigs of that capacity.
Warning: I lost all of my emails and all of the data files from one of my map programs so be sure you have everything that you really need from your phone store elsewhere before wiping your phone. I thought that the backup on my computer would restore everything but obviously NOT.

before downloading the latest version of I-Tunes, I used to be able to view the ALBUM ARTWORK at bottom left when clicking on a song.
I am now unable to see the artwork.
Is it no longer possible with the updated software ??Correct, Apple have removed that feature. However, you can still see the artwork of the song that's playing; it's shown in the Now Playing indicator at the top of the iTunes window. It is small, but if you click on it, a larger version pops up.
Also, in Albums View, you can see the album artwork. -

This is my first time using this forum, and I apologize if my post isn't "normal" or if my question is too long. My old acer computer had become corrupted and I had to reinstall my copy of windows. When I tried to sync a new ringtone to my iphone, which was only ever synced to this same computer, I was prompted to delete everything I had so I could install one ringtone. That does not sound ideal, and I refuse to delete everything I've put on my phone and my data to sync to itunes. There has to be another way to show my phone that this is the same computer. So I do not have to go through the hassle of doing everything again. I could not find an answer in the forums, and hope you can help me. This is pretty close to being a deal breaker for me. I'm beyond frustrated with this policy.

My laptop is years old and in need of being replaced, and it's about time to upgrade my phone. These life events piling up are making me consider switching to a friendlier OS. I'm not using this as a threat. I just hope some apple high up will read this, and realize that we need alternatives. Life happens.

Using the guide provided has done both. It has helped me and given me a fix to my current problem. Lawrence has also provided me with the last bit of information I feel is missing from wjosten's guide. That syncing will completely erase all of your data and reinstall it in one fell swoop. It's a great fix. Even if it isn't the exact one I wanted. Thank you again! -
My iphone 4s (7.1.1) will no longer work with my ibook G4 which is running 10.5.8. What does itunes on PC sync to in terms of contacts and calenders?

My NetExtender VPN will no longer connect since I've upgraded to Lion. Can anyone offer some advice?
I have not found this to be a solution in my case. I have some Apple OS users, Fedora/Ubuntu users and Windows 7 users who are using the SonicWall client. They can connect to either location in the US fine. Once connected, they receive a DNS search domain of pppFrameEncoded =0; instead of our AD domains which are passed fine in Windows and additionally the correct DNS servers (IP addresses) are listed in preference above the local router IP of the user.
I found that the correct DNS and routes were listed in the SonicWall client and while could ping the IP of the resource, I could not resolve its hostname with the Network Utility. After manually adding the Search Domains (we have two) in preference and removing the previous above, I was then able to resolve lookups to the FQDN and IP but not the hostname. This really ***** for our Apple users who are mainly execs and use samba connections to shared resources. Strangely enough this also seems to impact the Apple iPad and iPhone 4 I have on iOS 5.1 as well. Any thoughts anyone? Can connect with no error, ping IP, can resolve easily FQDN and can access resources by IP or FQDN but not by hostname.

Anyone else run into this? It doesn't affect any Windows users at all. -
I have just updated to the Firefox 4 Beta and from having no problems at all with the previous version I can now no longer scroll. I have reloaded my touch pad drivers and also been onto "about:config" and altered various things suggested by 'firefox help' and still no luck. The scroll button on the touch pad does still work as I can still scroll in Thunderbird and any of the other programs that I use, just not with Firefox any longer. Any suggestions would be gratefully received. Many thanks.
Since today the scrolling started to work for me. Was there a fix auto installed? I havent updated anything that I know about.
I might have uninstall an old Java JRE, don't remember when I did it, could that have done it? -
Can no longer scan with the HP Envy 4500
I can no longer scan documents with the HP Envy 4500. When I try to scan it times out and I receive the following error message:
"Scanner communiocation cannot be established. Ensure your product is powered on, check the connection, and ensure your network is functioning properly. If these conditions are correct, restart the product and try scanning again." I use a wireles connection to the HP Envy 4500 and it is working fine as I can print documents with no issues. I ran the HP Print and Scan Doctor and it flagged the issue as a potential problem with the device driver. I uninstalled the HP software and downloaded the latest version from the HP site, installed it, and tha did not correct the problem. At this point, I am not sure what else to try and correct the problem. Any suggestion would be much appreciated.Thanks for getting back to me
If the printer will not make copies, the unit may have a "Scanner Failure", unfortunately, and resetting the router, or computer troubleshooting would not make a difference.
You can try a power reset on the printer, to see if that will help:
Power reset the printer:
Press the Power button to turn on the product.
With the product turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the product.
Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
Wait at least 15 seconds.
Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the product.
If the product does not turn on by itself, press the Power button to turn it on.
You can also try using a different wall outlet to see if this makes a difference.
If the problem continues, contact HP's Technical Support directly to discuss your printer replacement options, as you would require a new printer if there is a Scanner Failure.

Why is my IBM Scroll button no longer working with the new Firefox?
I just downloaded the new Firefox onto my IBM ThinkPad. This laptop has a center button for the mouse that I have been able to use to scroll down webpages on the previous version of Firefox installed on my computer. However, with the new version it no longer works. Is it because there is a setting that was automatically programed and is something I can change or is the permanent feature of the new Firefox. If it is the latter, then I am disappointed and would rather use the older Firefox version.
Re-installing Pages through Appstore has fixed the problem.
