Is replying to discussions per E-Mail possible?

Is it possible to reply to E-Mail alerts per E-Mail? I just tried, but I do not see my reply appearing in discussion when going to SCN with browser. Any specific settings I have to perform?
Most documents I have seen go into details about configuring alerts, but not replying to these alerts ...

So it can't accept reply. There are no facility in SCN.

The Mail app on the iPad/iPhone/iPod Touch does have an option to clear previous recipients. You can learn to live with it. But if you want to get rid of it, the only way to remove these cached email addresses from the Mail application is restoring the iPhone/iPod Touch as a new phone/iPod. If you restore from backup, the cache is also restored.

How can I remove an "automatic" reply-to function on Apple Mail?

Hi,
I run three different e-mail accounts off of Apple Mail. Two are for business, and one is personal. I am not sure when/how this occurred, but for any e-mail I send the recipient gets a "reply-to" my personal account.
I have tried various methods to remove this, even if I manually input a different reply-to address, or remove the window all together, all my recipients get a reply-to my personal e-mail address. I did not realize this was happening for a very long time, as only my recipients saw the reply-to address. I am assuming I inadvertently did something with a script, automater, etc.
If anybody knows why this is happening, or how I can stop it - I would be very grateful.

When in Mail you select New Message you get a drop down menu, just above the message pane, where you select what account the email is to be sent from.

"Reply" to discussion errors with Correlation ID that doesn't give much of any info

Can add new discussions.
Can delete discussion.
Can edit discussion
Click on Reply to discussion the form window opens enter a reply hit save and it errors out. Close the error and the reply is actually posted. I can then delete the replay with out a problem. I've got ULS Correlation monitoring set to verbose
but the info in the log states nothing of an error or problem.
any ideas?

The problem continues. After turning up debugging we are seeing asp.net errors when replying to discussions as follows. We think this is the root of the problems. Any ideas?

That's probably because the message is in HTML format. Send the reply as plain text.

Fotos per E-Mail verschicken

Computer mit Windows 8.1 (64 Bit). Leider ist es in Photoshop Elements 13 nicht möglich, Fotos per E-Mail mit dem E-Mail-Client Mozilla Thunderbird zu versenden. Die erforderliche Port-Nummer (für meinen Provider 587) lässt sich nicht einstellen, wenn ich 'kein Verbindungssicherheitsprotokoll' auswählen will (Portnummer-Einstellung ist nicht unabhängig vom Verbindungssicherheitsprotokoll). Was kann ich tun, um dieses Problem zu lösen?

Es ist vielleicht keine direkte Lösung aber du kannst die Datei immernoch auf der Festplatte speichern und dann in einem zweiten Schritt in Mail hineinziehen. Hast du dieses Problem nur mit einem bestimmten Dokument oder grundsätzlich ?

Delays when replying or forwarding an e-mail

I just recently bought a MacBook Pro and have been using Mail.app. Whenever I attempt to reply or forward an e-mail, I get the color pinwheel for as much as 30 seconds before Mail displays a new screen for entering the address of the recipient. I used Mail.app a long time ago and don't remember this every occurring then. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Go to Apple Menu > System Preferences > Network, choose Network Port Configurations from the Show popup menu, and make sure that the configuration used to connect to Internet appears at the top of the list. Leave checked (enabled) only the port configuration needed to connect to Internet and Built-in Ethernet (in that order if not the same), uncheck (disable) the rest of network port configurations (Parallels in particular, if you have that installed) and see whether that helps — if it doesn’t, turn ON again the ones you want enabled.

How do I reply to meeting invitations in Mail?

I first have to say that every day Apple loses even more of my respect. I have been wasting SO much time trying to navigate around bugs, issues, and flaws in their systems. The latest is this: I am unable to reply to meeting requests in Mail. Really trying to use it lately for business but its just not easy. I will be forced to go back to Outlook if this simple function isn't available. Help??!! I see lots of old posts about this question but no solutions. Anyone know if they fixed this and how I make it work? Thanks in advance.

As for adding events to the calendar, that wasn't the problem. The problem is: I am unable to reply to meeting requests in Mail.
Of course I click on the ICS in the email and yes it goes to the calendar, but it does not give me the option to "Accept" or "Decline" an invitation. OR to "Respond with comments". For example, to suggest another time. The person sending the invitation now thinks you simply ignored it which isn't the case.
Any help with figuring this part out?

Bereitstellen per E-Mail senden funktioniert nicht, folgende Meldung erscheint: E-Mail-Anhang konnte nicht erstellt werden. Beim Versuch, die Daten für den Anhang zu erstellen, ist ein Fehler bei iWork aufgetraten. Hat mir jemand einen Rat?

Es ist vielleicht keine direkte Lösung aber du kannst die Datei immernoch auf der Festplatte speichern und dann in einem zweiten Schritt in Mail hineinziehen. Hast du dieses Problem nur mit einem bestimmten Dokument oder grundsätzlich ?

But As i said before, I am migrating an application which is currently deployed in JBOSS.4.0.2. and the databse is MySQL.
With reference to our discussion in the last mails, I was able to install the DB Manager and created the database with the tables.
are any options available to set the created DB as the default DB?
Can we assign persistance field mapping to already crated table without creating a new table from the dictionary? I have been trying it for the last two days; but no favaourable results got yet.
If it is not possible, I have to map each fields of each and every entity beans to the created table in the dictionary. right?

Thunderbird can reply but not send new mail!!!

I'm experienced thunderbird and computer user, baffled by this.
I created a new account at my website host for email.
It receives fine, it REPLIES fine, it hangs on send.
100% repeatable.
On send, it appears to send then hang on copy to sent folder step.
My sent folder is a nested folder Inbox/sent, because my website hosts just thinks thats the way it should be. I have no reason to think that is related except its different than my other accounts.
I can manually copy to sent folder fine. Have varied the setting for save files to in the account, with no effect.
I have settings to leave message in same folder on replies, so suspect it cant copy to sent,
even though it has no other similar issues.
Once it hangs, the mail sub-window is dead. It wont send it again, closing it makes a warning dialog.
So, I assume this is some weird interaction with my mail host, but I have no way to diagnose further.
It baffles me why it would make a difference if its a reply or a new email.

That "change" tells Thunderbird that your imap server is strange in that the special folders hang off the inbox on the server. ie inbox\send, inbox\drafts etc. The root of the folder in "inbox." not the more common " " this is what you replaced with inbox.
What is generally simply not considered is that the mail server runs IMAP server software. This is not a single IMAP program. Like word processors there are multiple "brands" and each one has it's own setup and its own strengths. So when writing a program that connects to an imap server there needs to be setting to cope with all the possibilities. You have just changed your settings to cope with the possibility that the people setting up the server decided the personal namespace was inbox.
BTW I think you will find the messages were going out. The SMTP sending process is separate to the saving of the mail to the sent folder.
