You are not specific with your problem or errors but one thing that always throws people off is as follows:

1) duplicate using RMAN.
Directory structure should be different so take care of db_file_name_convert & log_file_name_convert parameters

Backup-restore vs running the same SSIS datacopy project twice
I have 2 different applications which need the same source data which is copied from a production database. The 2 applications run on different servers, so they can not use the same source database. The way I see it, I have the following two options:
1. I develop a SSIS solution to load the required data into the source database and run the same project on both servers, creating 2 identical source databases.
2. I develop a SSIS solution to load the required data into the source database, run this solution on one of the servers. I then create a job on this server to make a backup after this process is done and restore it on the second server, also creating for
me 2 identical source databases.
Which method would be more efficient and why? (what also might be relevant is that one of the two sourcedatabases needs to refresh every night, the other one only once a week)I would definitely use backup and restore. It will consume fewest resources and you *know* that the data is identical.

So I just got a new iPod touch 4g from wallmart a couple weeks ago and now the screen is flickering and I assumed it was the brightness so I turned it down and it stoped. So then I turned it back up and it did it again I restarted my iPod still did it I restored my iPod still did it so what do I do HELP please
Correction: I plugged my iPod back into my mac, it backed up/updated etc. and now when I go to my music, it returns me to the home screen. What is going on!?

Have tried 4 times to reset, erase and restore but always the same result. Everything restores except my photos. When I go to photos at the bottom of the screen it says downloading but the pictures never transfer. Every time I turn my phone on it asks to continue restore but it never finishes. It won't let me upgrade to the latest iOS due to incomplete restoration.
How long has it been since you let the restore just happen? Sometimes photos are what takes the longest to bring back from an iCloud back up. I would recommend that you let it just keep restoring for about 2-3 days and see if more photos come back than what you're experiencing. Also make sure that you are connected to wifi as much as possible so that those photos can be downloaded faster. It is a waiting and being patient kind of thing. I did an iCloud restore from a backup that took 4 days to finish bringing down all my photos.

Is reset and restore the same?
I need to reset my phone and I made an appointment at the Genius bar. This has happened before with my other iphone. My phone is saying that I don't have enough space in my icloud but I know that it does. It is saying that because my phone got corrupted from downloading apps on/off wifi. No, a reset and restore are not the same.
A reset is nothing more than pressing and holding the home and power buttons for approximately 15 seconds until the white Apple logo appears. No data is affect.
A restore is done either via iTunes or iCloud to a previous backup or as new. Data can and will be destroyed depending on the option selected.
Neither of which has anything to do with space availabe in iCloud.
Manage space in iCould in iCoud, either via the website or directly on the device. -

Backup and restore the fields in the same date format...
In the form, there is one date field , the value is entered by using jquery, datepicker. The sceanrio is, after I picking the date value in date field , then I decided to click the back button, moved the precious form then forward again that date field form.. My query is I need to restore and backup the Same format I entered previously..
Query is When i hit back and forward again the date format will be changed from "2010/02/21" to "2010-01-21 00:0:0 +5:30".
