IS- Retail - Cycle count during business hours

Hi ,
I am trying to do cycle count thru the POS system, and this is during business hours.  We want to perform cycle count at the stores using the POS system and update SAP.  I checked in SAP Help and its very confusing and its not step by step.  The config path provided in SAP Help also is not updated.  Is there any documents or materials that anyone of you can provide me.  Any information provided is appreciated.
Thanks,
Amauris.

Hi,
SAP has introduced this new functionality called Physical Inventory during Opening hours along with EhP3 along with POS DM. Which means in case you want to carry out physical inventory during business hours, you will require POSDM as well as EHP3 installed as well as relevant Business function set activated to carry this out.
In case you do not have POSDM in your landscape i dont think you can do it.
Hope this helps
Regards
Manish

They already have your number and/or email address and maybe have sold it several times already to others as well. They also use number generators - software that will automatically create them - some work and some don't, they don't care, they send out millions and a few will fall for it and send them money. The only way to "hide" would be to change both and your password, but then it would happen again at some point.

  • Would it cause any harm to stop the DBworker process on the logger and let it restart during business hours?

I'm trying to connect to a database in an ICM script for the first time and I added a new database user to the Router registry. I think I must have to restart the service to activate the new credentials. Would it cause any harm to stop the DBworker process on the logger and let it restart during business hours?

    Lisa,
You shouldn't need to restart any processes. If you already had the database setup in Database Lookup Explorer before putting the credentials in the registry, you can just make a change to the Database Loookup entry, and the Router will try to reconnect.
Also, the Logger has nothing to do with ICM database lookups - the DBworker is part of the Router processes.

Sure you can. When you leave work, go into settings and switch to manual, and when you get to work, switch it to auto-check

  • Uploads can be done during Business hours in SAP ?

    Dear all,
Uploads  can be done during Business hours in SAP ?
    Regards

    Hi,
Data Upload activity will generate I/O operations in database. There are lot of factors which may affect the server performance.
To measure the performance issue in Server, You can upload some potion of Data and  monitor the resource utilization and server response times. If such Data Upload is affecting the Server Performance then diagnose the root cause and take corrective actions. Otherwise, it will be better to do it during Low Workload if the Server is not capable and its showing some performance issue.
Data will be uploaded to SAP System's own Database or to another DMS System Database through SAP System ?

  • Fetch during business hours?

I was wondering if there was some way to set up a schedule so that my iphone can fetch new messages every 15 minutes while I'm at work but stop fetching during off hours when I'm at home. It seems silly to waste battery life by checking my email while I'm sleeping.

There is no such custom scheduling option to Fetch every 15 minutes 8-5 M-F and switch to Manually at 5 PM M-F and the same for Sat and Sun.
I usually keep my iPhone plugged in at night so I have a fully charged battery to begin each day.

  • Does anybody know how to get a valid email address for Apple service?  I am unable to call them during business hours and paid them over $200 a month ago to have a repair done ot my iPhone.  I have heard nothing.  They are usually good, but this time....

I have looked all over the Apple Store website but there is no obvious email address.   I have tried to post feedback and 'follow my repair online' but the are not responding.  Thanks anybody who can advise an email address.

Sorry, but Apple does not provide technical support via email, so they have no published email addresses. You will need to find a way to call them. Or make an appointment with the Genius Bar at an Apple Store, if there are any near you, and have them follow up.
    Regards.

  • Need ANI details of calls landing during Out of business hours

    Hello All,
Our Contact Center management has raised a new requirement to report with the ANI details of calls landing at any skill groups during put of business hours.
    Options that we have is
    1. Webview report - Call Type 22 and 23
But in this, If we specify put of business timings and generate the report it will give the number of calls and not its ANI.
    2. Call detail report from our custom report application.
Here the problem is, this report will give details of calls landing during business hours alone. The reason is that only the calls that utilizes VXML ports in CVP gets to this custom report. The calls coming in during of hours is handled at ICM level and to play the out of office hours prompt it utilizes CVP port not VXML and terminates the call.
Is there any way to get this ANI details without having to modify this custom report much. Please assist in this. Let me know if you need any more details.

    That's pretty strange.
Let's just see how you are doing this. Once you detect the out of hours situation in your Routing Script (either by checking a Global variable refreshed by an Admin script or by having a Time of Day node directly in the routing script), do you set a Call Type?
Then after setting the call type, I assume you play a CVP message and Release the call. Correct?
When you query the TCD on this call type you should only see your after hours calls. Let's look at one of the calls.
You should see two rows in the TCD, one with the DNIS of your number on the gateway, or from the PSTN carrier, and one with the VRU transfer label (say 8111111111) - maybe that's in the DigitsDialed column, I'm not in front of an HDS database and can't check. This is all you should see for a call that comes out of hours.
Both these legs should have the same RouterCallKey with different RouterCallKeySequenceNumbers.
    Do you see this?
What is happening with another call at a similar time with a different RouterCallKey ? That doesn't make sense.
Maybe you could do a query and show us the output?
    Regards,
    Geoff

  • CUIC Custom Report for Business Hours for Weekdays Only

Customer wants a UCCX custom report which we are building with CUIC Premium.  The one criteria we are having issue with deals with the ability to selects days of the week BUT only with specific hours of the day for each of the days selected.  So customer want to be able to run the report for Monday to Friday but from 8AM to 5PM for each of those days, so essentially during business hours only.  The built in Absolute Date Range does not work because that would run the report starting Monday at 8AM until Friday at 5PM.
    Thanks,
    Dan

    dicharville,
Our 3rd party solution lets you produce historical reports by "shifts" by each day.  In your case each day agents having the shift of 8 - 5.  Let me know if you would like to discuss in detail how our solution can accomplish this and more.

  • New HD load cycle count

I just installed a Hitachi 7K500 in my mid o9 and it is working great; no noise, no heat or excess vibration. I am a little in the dark about the load cycle count, I am getting around 214 cycles in the first hour and this seems a bit high. Should I be thinking about installing hdapm to lower my count? Just what is considered a good load cycle count for an hour? Again I'm very happy with the noise level as I do not notice any difference from the 5400.

Hi, jmsy. Paying attention to your hard drive's load cycle count is something you absolutely, positively don't need to do. It's like counting the number of times the wheels on your car turn. Sure, there's a relationship there between usage and lifespan. But you're going to use the car as much as you have to, and replace its tires and the car itself when necessary, and you'll know when those things are necessary without counting tire revolutions all along the way.
Back up your hard drive, keep the backup(s) up to date, and replace the drive when it fails (or, perhaps more likely, when your storage needs outgrow it). Forget about load cycles.

  • Add new batch during count entry (for cycle count by quant LICC)

Hi! We are using LICC for cycle counting by quant as we have mixed storage and do not want to count all the materials in a single bin. Most of the materials involved are batch-managed. One issue we have is we may discover other batches during stock take. In this case, how can we add this to the stock adjustment since we cannot add new item when we use cycle counting by quant?
Appreciate your suggestion in this case.
    Cheers!
    SF

    Hi,
Whenever you find discrappancies, in this case founds, you will note these down and first do an analysis whether this particular batch has been written off in the past as lost. When not, you will make a MB1À or MIGO booking to add this found batch to stock. When yes, you could do a reversal of the issue or do a new receipt.

  • Cisco WLC with ISE - need to restrict access during non-business hours

    Hello,
We have a requirement to turn off our wireless during non-business hours.  We have a 5508 WLC with ISE.  What is the best way to accomplish this task?
    Thank you in advance.
    Beth

Aside from Steve's respond, there are several methods of doing this and this will all depend on how complex your network is and how technical you want to do this.
    1.  As what Steve said, use PI and you can define several schedules when to turn off/on the SSID;
    2.  If you have corporate access, you can use AD to schedule non-business hours;
    3.  If you have Cisco PoE switches, you can enable EnergyWise to power off the APs;
    4.  If you manage your core network, you can enable time-based ACL to disable the default gateway of the dynamic interface which is attached to your SSID.
The most "destructive" method is option #3, because there are chances that your AP won't power up properly, if not power up at all.

  • What is going on with this cycle count business?

I just bought my first Mac, a 13-inch Macbook Pro, about a month ago. I started learning about the cycle count and seeing where my computer stood. This morning, while unplugged from the charger, my cycle count was at 16. High, I thought, since I was under the impression that it was a full charge followed by a full discharge that registered each cycle count. I haven't used it but for maybe 20 hours of total time, so I found this to be strange.
The real problem though was when I just checked it. It's been off the charger since this morning and has dropped from about 74% when I cracked it this morning to 33% now, and it's now telling me that the cycle count is 20... 4 more cycles after just using 40% of the battery? Is this normal?
It also says the battery health is at 96%. I just find this to be quite a degredation after a couple of hours of use a week for a month.

    Hi m,
I would contact Apple. You have 90 days of free AppleCare phone support.

  • Best practice for retail store cycle count

    Hi experts
Would you have any experience/best practice in designing for cycle count process for your clients?
By cycle count, I mean for frequent counting (daily) for specific item category / exceptional count request.
My client want to implement a cycle count process to minimize the effort for full stock take which happen around 3 times per year.
They are using SAP as the core system to keep track of inventory, and using external store system, so some considerations would be on, for example:
    - whether the count variance or counted quantity shall be interfaced back to SAP
    - whether SAP should be the source to initiate a stock count process or POS initiate
It would be very nice if you can share some best practice as in the process flow, system information flow, etc.
    Best regards
    Dominic

    Hello
Both can be done but as you say SAP is the core system at least for tracking inventories, better create and integrate inventories is SAP aswell.
The main advice I would give is to avoid specific tables for inventory integration because standard tables and specific won't be updated well sometimes and support would be needed, stick on standard transactions.
If the inventory is centralised in SAP, you can for example count them with PDA, send to SAP connectors your counting which will be integrated from a xml file transformed in a Idoc for SAP.
One parameter is important to consider as the freeze for inventory. You have to decide if you take into account any stock movement that could occur after your inventory creation or not. If you do, the variance after the counting will depend on the initial stock value and also the movement.
If you don't, the variance will only take into account your initial stock value withotu considering the stock movement.
    Hope it helps you,
    Génia.
