IS retail difference in MM

Can anyone please tell me how does IS-Retail differs from normal SAP MM implementation?

Hi
Firstly the terminology differs like material is called as article etc.
Your plants are named as sites which are further differentiated as stores and distribution centers.
A hierarchy level is maintained in IS Retail like Division(MENS) -> Major Category(MEN Shirts) -> Merchandise Category(MENS Full Sleeve Shirt) -> Articles(.......Shirts)
Merchandise Distribution and Allocation is also a special features of IS - Retail(can see SAP help)
Reward if helpful.
Thanks & Regards

  • IS Retail: Difference btn sites: wholesale customer and sites:franchise

    Hi,
Could somebody elaborate on fnctional variation possible by configuring sites as wholesale customer and sites as franchise?
    Regards,
    Amit

In IS-Retail system, a franchisee can be either a site master (which includes a customer master) or a customer master only.
The advantage of using a site is to manage a retail franchisee like a store. i.e. listing, assortment management, layout planning POS download,..
When using a site you also have the option of managing inventory levels for the franchisees and thus uploading their POS data and doing a replenishment for them.
With the help of site profiles and references sites the creation of new franchisees or own stores can be facilitated. Depending on the profile different default values for the new site master are proposed. So it makes sense to define in the system different site profiles for franchisees, own stores, or wholesale customers.
To my knowledge the site profiles SAP deliveres for franchisee and wholesale customer do not have any significant differences. It is rather a task of the implementation team to set up and assign the right reference sites to the corresponding site profile.
I hope this helps a bit.

  • Can I sell my copy of DW to my company?

I've been using DW as a hobbyist. Now I plan to start my own
    business.
If I register the business can I sell my copy of DW to my
    company?
The reason is so when I get a new PC with a new OS for my
business, I can use this copy of DW on the new OS without buying a
    new copy of DW.
I'm thinking this should be OK because the business is a
    separate entity?

The only thing that would matter down the road is later on
with registration if your company were to purchase more licenses
moving into the Adobe TLP program. Then you would probably want to
change the registration down the road just to say that you are part
    of X company.
Also as Joe mentioned, the educational license would prohibit
you from using DW for commercial use, *UNTIL* you upgrade once via
the regular commercial program, which is what Adobe allows, thus
changing the license from educational to commercial. This could
possibly be done with the same license, but I believe it involves
paying the retail difference to Adobe.

  • Radeon HD 5670 or HD 5750?

Looking to buy a new imac and I'm wondering if there is any noticeable difference for gaming and video apps? Also, the Apple store price difference is $150 between the models, whereas the retail difference is only $40-50. Wondering why the markup is so high?

my guess is because they're mobile versions. if you're shelling out the dough, might as well go with the 5750

  • Whats the difference in buying an ipod from apple retail store rather than buying it from Walmart?

Whats the difference in buying an iPod touch from apple retail store rather than from walmart

Some retailers, such as Best Buy, offer a much more robust warranty - even covering accidental damage. Or other retailers may offer bonuses - such as free case or store gift card as an incentive. The orginal Apple 1 year warranty against manufacturer's defects applies no matter where it's sold.
I bought both my touch and my iPad from Best Buy and have no issues with it. (the closest apple store was over an hour away)
I think the only warning I'd offer is for a person buying a used device second hand is to make sure it's from a reputable retailer and that hte device is unlocked and ready to use.

  • Oracle 10g difference: downloaded vs retail

    Hi,
Does any one know what is the difference between the downloadable "Oracle Database 10g Release 2 (10.2.0.1.0) Enterprise/Standard Edition for Microsoft Windows (32-bit)" application from the Oracle site against the one that is retailed?
    Thanks

    Sigh......................................
If you download the product it comes with a document called license. Didn't you read that?
Oh I forgot, you are only paid to hit buttons.
If you download the product you can always get a license afterwards, by contacting your friendly salesrep at Oracle.
Oracle has all information on this available on their site. Oracle is not about rocket science, but about not being lazy.
Right now questions here are mostly asked by people, who like you, absolutely don't read anything, and ask one redundant question after another.
And yes, the difference is zero, nada, niente, nothing, niks, nichts, nullus.

  • Differences between Educational and Retail versions

    Question:
What are the Differences between the Educational and Retail Versions
    of Photoshop?
    Answer:
1). There is NO limitation on use of the Educational Version, only on
aquisition of it in that you must meet the educational requirements to
    qualify for purchase.
    2. There is NO functional difference between the Educational and
    Commercial versions,
3), The Educational version will always show the Academic splash
screen even if you later use it to upgrade to a full Commercial
    version.
4). Educational versions of Adobe software do not always ship with the
'free goodies' such as fonts and clip-art that the full commercial
    versions include.

The slide on plug for the MagSafe adapter is different. Depending on where your going to use it you will need the correct plug adapter for it.

  • Difference Between "Leopard Drop-In" and "Full Retail" disks?

Hello there. I've been running OS X 10.4.11 on my MBP for two years, and I'm interested in upgrading to Leopard. I can't find it in any stores, so that leaves eBay, I guess.
I am wondering what the difference is between the Leopard "Drop-In" install disks and the box that is described as the "Full Retail" version. My guess is that the Drop-In will upgrade Tiger to Leopard 10.5 while keeping all of the same programs, i.e. no updates to anything like iWork or iPhoto, etc; and that the "Full Retail" means Leopard 10.5 plus all the new versions of the programs.
With these disks, would I need to wipe my HD for the install? Would I need to create a backup on my external HD?
Should I wait a little longer until Snow Leopard becomes a little more stable? Is the "Mac Box Set" with Snow Leopard that is available right now the same (except w/Leopard) as the Leopard Full Retail box?
    Thank you!
    C

    Hi CBA713,
Before you consider upgrading, have you confirmed that all of your software will run on Snow Leopard? The OS is relatively new, only about a month. Based on the programs you were running in Tiger (which probably are compatible) they may not run in OS X 10.6
Considering the cost of going to Snow Leopard from Tiger ($169) it might make more sense to try and grab a copy of the Leopard box set (you'll still get iLife & iWork '09) and then upgrade to Snow Leopard at a later time for the $29. Especially if there's some concern over application compatibility.
You can backup your hard drive via a cloning software, there are two free ones that are pretty popular among the discussions.
    1.) Carbon Copy Cloner (www.bombich.com/software/ccc.html)
    2.) SuperDuper! (http://www.shirt-pocket.com/SuperDuper/SuperDuperDescription.html)

  • What is the difference between retail version/discs included with computers

I bought a used iMac G5 that has Leopard installed on it, but no discs were included. I need to reinstall. There are plenty of versions on eBay that are original install discs that came with the computers and they are much less expensive than the retail versions. What is the difference between them? Would discs that came with an Intel Core iBook be totally incompatible with my G5?

I have the same problem. I have a 1 year old Macbook Pro 15" which came with no discs. I bought a set of OSX 10.5.2 install discs which clearly say for MacBook Pro on the discs. However they do not get any further than selecting English a he main language before they refuse to load further software stating incompatibility. I do not understand why, when both are Mac book Pros and recent ones too. Does anyone have any ideas?

  • Difference Between Retail version vs Academic version?

Is there a difference between the Retail version and the Academic version of Logic Express 7.1?

Here are the two main differences, but firstly, there is no difference in the software at all. They work and function exactly the same. Here are the differences. An apple Academic licence does not permit you to use the software for professional uses. How they catch you, I don't know because I have the retail version. The second major disadvantage is the upgrade policy. It seems that Apple is bringing in to effect a system whereby if you buy the Edu version of one of their softwares, you have to pay again for the major upgrade. By this I am talking about Logic 7 to Logic 8. This has already happened with Final Cut, and people are finding that they are having to buy the full software again. Noone knows yet if this has been implemented yet in to Logic, but there is a lot of talk on the Pro forum about it, and most suspect it was built in to Version 7. However as far as the program is concerned, it works in exactly the same way. Best, Fred

  • Difference between Leopard CPU Drop-in Kit and full retail DVDs

before purchasing the Leopard 10.5 DVD I see there are "full retail DVD" and a "CPU Drop-in DVD". What's the difference? I have an iBook G4 w/ 10.4.11 now but want to upgrade to Leopard.
    Thanks

The latter requires a pre-existing Tiger system. The former is a standalone installer.

  • Is it possible to exchange the 16gb iPhone with the 32gb by paying the difference in an apple retail store?

hi, i bought an iphone 5 about two weeks ago, my iphone has only 16gb of storage and i am running out of storage. Is it possible to exchange the 16gb iphone with the 32gb by paying the difference in an apple retail store? Also i didnt buy my iphone in an apple store.

If the retailer you purchased the iPhone from allows a return for payment credit within a designated period of time after the purchase date, you will need to return the existing iPhone and package contents for payment credit to that retailer - Apple deducts a 10% restocking fee when an iPhone is purchased and returned at an Apple Store, followed by purchasing the iPhone with the storage capacity you now want.
