IS Retail - Maintenance groups usage

In the version ECC 6.0, I tried to use the functionality of maintenance groups to change/modify article master data for a group of articles.
I created a maintenance group using the transaction <b>WRFMGROUP - Manage Maintenance Groups</b>, under the category of 'Cross-Application' with a bunch of field groups. I wanted to pull up the same maintenance group and do a mass change on this for a group of articles.
Hence used the transaction <b>WRFMASSMAT - Integrated Mass Change</b>. In this transaction when I tried to select the maintenance group using F4, only the category folders under the hierarchy were seen, like Cross-Application, Application-Specific and Template, the maintenance group created by me under these categories were not visible.
i) Is there any particular setting to activate these maintenance groups?
ii) How do I get to choose the maintenance group created to perform a mass change?

I didnt get that , can you please explain if both the scenario is possible by percentage off or free goods or both.

Maintenance Group for Promotions - Campaing (TPM)

I configured CRM TPM for promotions integrated with R/3. I transferred conditions tables for pricing, rebates, free goods and product determination from R/3 through BDOCS to CRM.
Configuration guide indicate I need to Assign Condition Maintenance Group to TPM. I try assign Maintenance Group transferred from R/3, but in tx CRM_MKTPL I haved a dump.
I try to create a new maintenance group in CRM which assigned conditions tables transferred from R/3, but in Tx CRM_MKTPL, in tab Discounts for match code Condition Type is empty, however condition maintenance group had condition type for condition tables transferred from R/3.
What is wrong in this configuration?

there is a step missing!!!
You should fill in R3 the table MNTCNT with the condition type/tables you wanna use in CRM. Go in the IMG under integration with other component>CRM> don't remember...
Then you should download the customizing and you get the expected result.

Has anybody used WRFMGROUP-Manage Maintenance Groups for articles for seasonal procuremen article creation.
I need this to update some article master fields ( like Listing procedure) while creating the article in the background.( WRFAPC11)

Hi Jajati,
you can use the Maitenance Group to define the fields you have to maintain. Therefore, create a maintenance group in transaction WRFMGROUP. Add the needed Field Groups to the maintenance group - the field group contains the article master fields you can fill when using this maintenance group.
As far as I know, you can use the maintenance group in transaction WRFMATBODY after releasing the article in transaction WRFAPC11. I'm not sure, if you can use the maintenance group in the releasing process. In transaction WRFMATBODY, you can the fill in all the fields assigned to the field group.

When u download pricing conditions from ECC to CRM the Application is always CRM and u need to create Condition Maintenance Group in CRM in SPRO path:
Customer Relationship Management>Master Data>Conditions and Condition Technique>Condition Technique: Basics>Create Maintenance Group
here u can create and add the conditions and Condition table as required.

What does the "Internal" value on the ASM Disk Group Usage Chart represent?

In OEM Grid Control, on the Automatic Storage Management Home page there is the Disk Group Usage Chart.
What does the "Internal (GB)" value on this pie chart represent? and how it has been calculated?
On one of our servers it is 13% of available ASM disk capacity.. and on another it is 0%.

Internal space is (Total MB - Free MB) from the @ DiskSpaceUsage - Total MB from the DatabaseDiskSpace usage
It is basically the space occupied by the your DB in the ASM disk space. There are few bugs related to this and need to be refined

Vendor groups usage

Good morning
We are working with ECC 6.0. If you can advise us regarding the use of the vendor groups (corporate) usage, we would appreciate it.
Can we use them in standard reports / lists or only in ABAP ones? Can we use them in matchcodes to search for vendors for instance in the Purchase Orders?

Via Vendor account group you determine
The interval for the account numbers
Whether the number is assigned internally by the system or externally by the user (type of number assignment)
Whether it is a one-time account
Which fields are ready for input or must be filled when creating and changing master records (field status)
Example:
In the one-time accounts you want to suppress the address, communication and bank detail fields. These fields are part of the general data and so you set the field status in the general data section. Define the reconciliation account as a required field since this is a required entry for one-time accounts as well. The field is company code-dependent so you define the status for this field in the company data section.
With the account groups, you group accounts together according to the criteria mentioned above, for example, one-time accounts. You determine the account number interval and the type of number assignment by using number ranges.

Global Controller group usage

We have GC Gen1 and multiply LCs Gen 1.
I have a question about usage of groups and drop rules. I would like to use Global groups and add device/networks to these global groups and then use those groups in drop rules on the LC controllers. Problem is when I view the Global group on an LC it only shows the Device/networks local to that box. With that said the rule does not consider the other device/networks that are part of the global group. Is there a way that is can work? Why I would want to do this, well for example lets take some internal subnets that generate certain type of traffic to inside subnets at different locations. It is easier to add all inside subnets to the Global group and then write drop rule on LCs using the global group as the scr and dst.

Try this :
Modify the rule with a dummy action, click activate, wait for a couple of minutes, remove the dummy action and again click activate to cause the GC to synchronize the rule to the LC.

Group usage of Plus service

Trying to convince my club to invest in plus service. They require group access...many people accessing and turnover every few years. Anything special to consider? Is the email tha purchased Plus able to set others to author..or co-author...sorry if this is basic. I want to alleviate any concerns they have.

I think this will meet your needs (without any extra cost). Each person creating forms needs a Plus account. You can share the form you created with others and they only need free accounts to access it.

Mass Maintenance of BOMs with Alternate Item Groups

We plan to create BOMs containing Alternate Item Groups (+ usage probability + priority) to cover alternative parts usage.
What is the SAP solution for Mass maintenance of BOMs with Alternate item groups?
Is it possible to use (or customize) CS20 (or another transaction) to do following tasks in Mass :
- identify the BOMs containing a specific material number (where used)
- add a new item line with a new material nbr in the BOM (with same quantity, subitems, Alternate Item Group, ...)
- when required, change the usage probability of the members of the group to set the new material usage on 100% and all other alternates usage on 0%. When not required, add the new one with 0% and don't change the existing members of the group.

Material group hierarchy in SAP Retail

Hi Guru's;
I'm looking to load hierarchy of material group in BW.
In the SAP source system the used standard transaction WG21, WG22CLWM for managing retail material group hierarchy.
I suppose that from those transaction there is a BW hierarchy to recover this datas.
I found this datasource 0MATL_GROUP_LKLS_HIER but when i made a test in RSA3 i can't select any hierachy.
Why ? Is there something special for this hierarchy that i need to manage ?

How does Unix calculate "group" disk usage?

I've been playing with implementing group quotas on 10.5 Server and the group usage statistics seem really low to me so I think my concept of how they are calculated must be wrong. I thought that the group usage would be a cumulative total of all the usage of everyone in that group, but clearly it is not.
Can someone enlighten me or point me to a source that has the technical details of what's counted against the group usage and what's not?

It has been years since I played with quotas, and I've never played with Mac OS X quotas, however, it has been my experience, both as a user and as a Unix file system developer, that Group Quota information depends a lot on making sure that quotacheck has been run AFTER enabling quotas on a file system.
Until quotas are enabled, may file systems do not keep track of group or per user quota information. So once they are enabled, you need to run quotacheck to build up the quota information database.
What utility are you using to obtain your group storage information?

Error in BP Group Hierarchy

Hi ,
When I'm clicking on "Assigned Condition Records" tab for any hierarchy node in BP group hierrarchy, system is giving error "Usage PR and maintenance HIER_NODE cannot both be supplied".I've maintained maintenance group HIER_NODE properly in SPRO.
Can anyone resove this error?

Regarding Condition record in CRM using field MATKL (Material Group)

Hi All
Currently we are working in SAP CRM 5.2 and it has been connected with backend ECC 6.0.
This scenario is about Pricing which has been maintained in ECC and inturn flows to CRM with few filters in place.
There are few customized Condition Tables in ECC with combination of Sales org./ material group for which discount has been maintained. A proper condition record is also available for this Condition table and it has been assigned to a access sequence and inturn assigned to a condition type.
All these procedures, condition types, access sequence has flown from ECC to CRM. And all the condition tables are active in IMG (Basic Functions / Pricing / Define Settings for Pricing / Create Condition Tables)
When i check in
(SAP menu / Master Data / Prices and Conditions / SAPCND/GCM - Maintain Conditions )
Application - CRM,
Maintenance group - PRODDISCOU,
Maintenance context - GCM
Here for the above mentioned combination when i select the Key Combination (Condition Table) and enter the customized table number (Sales org. / Material Group) iam getting a dump which says the following.
