Hello all,
Could anyone please suggest me any good training institution for SAP IS Retail ? No, not Transweave ; It doesn't worth the money they ask for !! One of my friend has bad experience with them.
Which module (in IS Retail) I should go for at initial stages targeting to enter market ASAP; I have one year experience in FICO and have done certification IN Business processes Integration. In BPI we configure an organization for a complete cycle from procurement to Sales.

I can understand its expensive in Transweave, One my friend done the training their, believe me its waste of time because the trainers cant even speak proper english, and has no domain experience, their are just fresh graduates, anyhow my friend lost him money with them.
In hyderabad thier is a top trainer he teaches all the modules required for IS-Retail. his name is Mr.Bilal he trains in Ameerpet. He is the top trainer at the movement in the market.

Cannot activate sap is retail

recently did a fresh install of ecc60 on my laptop watching the installation steps posted by some users. but letme tell you am a newbee and not a very expert installer.
here is what is my problem---
"I read somewhere, execute sfw5 tcode and i did that. Its meant for change system settings, further there are like 2 tabs "contract ar + ap and the second one as "enterprise addons". I chose the later one, "enterprise addons" and there you will see all the Industry specific "business functions. a list of them. they have their statuses right there as on or off. 70 % of them were all on few were off.
And the IS- Retail was off too also called as EA-RET , thats how it was showing up there . i just changed the corresponding status button to ON now . that is all.
went to top menu- system settings, i clicked activate-restart and the system immediately started doing something at the background , and it gave a message at the bottom about the same which is why i knew that its doing something.
after like 5 minutes the machine stopped. and i assumed that IS retail is activated now.
So i called up a friend of mine who recently finished up her IS Retail training, asked her to give me few Tcodes of IS retail. Some worked but some didn't and the system popped an error message saying " the system is still not setup for industry specific functions"

Hi Nany,
Goto SFW5 once again. Select IS-Retail once again and select all the relevant check boxes (this is important) and then activate it again. Sometimes the activation does not go through in one run. Happened to me once. I ran the activation again and it worked out fine.

Hello,
There used to be a course in SAP Workforce Management 3.0 by SAP which I attended 3 years back however there is no certifications for the same. I am not too sure SAP has any course on SAP WFM 3.1 or not. IS-Retail training just has an overview of SAP WFM features. If you need training we have experienced consultants to come take the training for you.

Training and Event Management under ESS

I've been looking at the sap´s help and the only way I can find for implementing Training and Event Management as an ESS application is using ITS. But as I uderstand, the use of ITS is in the past. I want to implement that in ECC 6.0, what should I do?

Hi Everyone:
My name is Mark. I'm new to the Mac World. I purchased a MacBook Pro with Retina Scan, as I'm going to make multi media self help books (I'm an author and psychotherapist). I have been getting a number of inconsistencies in answers to the same questions.
1 - Can I do a 1:1 by phone? When I bought my 1:1 the salesperson told me yes.
Now I find out the answer is no.
2 - I've started signing up for group, individual, and open training.
It seems that I cannot sign up for a second one until I have taken the first of any of these trainings.
So if I want to sign up for 3, 1:1's in 3 different stores, on 3 different days I can't (if I read the terms and conditions properly.) until I have my first 1:1, open, or group training.
I was told when I purchased my 1:1 that I could have as many trainings as I wanted to, and as much as I wanted. I could even spend a whole day going to different training at the same store on thew same day.
Have others found inconsistencies in what you are told by sales people and what the rules are?

1) The One-to-One program is in person in an Apple Store. I've never heard of any phone-based training. Perhaps the salesperson was confusing that with AppleCare which extends the phone support on your product.
2) Here is the relevant part from the official terms:
Members may have no more than one (1) Personal Training, one (1) Group Training and one (1) Open Training session reserved at any given time. After the completion of your session, you may schedule your next.

If the saleperson gave you incorrect information that makes the One-to-One service unusable, talk to the store manager and tell him or her what information you were given incorrectly, and ask about a refund of the cost of the program.

I am planning to change my Career path from IT Analyst to SAP IS RETAIL Consultant. I am Currently working in retail company (UK Retailer) from last 4 years as IT Analyst involved in Mapping business requirements and Implementing new systems etc.
I don't have any experience in SAP, I am planning to join Certification course for SD+ISRETAIL and I Checked with one of SAP Authorized training Center and got overview of IS RETAIL.
Retail industry is booming accross the world (including India) i think there will be enough opportunities for SAP IS Retail Consultants(this is one of the reason for changing Career path) . I believe experience i have gained in retail domain from last four years will be useful in implementing SAP IS Retail to suit client requirements.
I would request your guidence and suggestion on this.

I feel you have made a genuine plan. As you have good industry knowledge you should be able to grasp the concepts easily. You experience in Retail industry can help you in your job search.
In india you can target cos like IBM, Accenture which have big SAP Teams.
I feel you should go for IS Retail certification, not sure why you wanna do SD.

Where can I get Keynote 6 training?

I need to get a crash course in Keynote and I have looked online at Udemy type courses, but I prefer something more personal or with a group of folks. Ideas? Also, any books in print? I like both sorts of training, live on the computer, and via print. I'm tactile in that way.

Looking for Apple training....

I'm an Apple Certified Mac Technician and love my job. Unfortunately I'm only one person running repair and the retail side of the store. I know there has to be some training courses that teach about the best ways to use GSX, updated repair tips and tricks, or just some sort of conference for Apple repair. I'm looking to learn/train to increase my overall knowledge and provide better support to my customers.
Anyone have or know any good training/courses/workshops/conferences for repair guys?

SAP IS Retail Consultant role in ongoing (Post Go-live) support varies from Level 1 to Level 3 as well as client to client.
Mutually agreed tasks are part of Statement of Works (SOW) reflects in Contract / Agreement. So, you can refer SOW to know complete role.
In mean while, are you supporting Indian Client or Foreign Client?
In general, Support consultant should carry out following tasks;
(a) Trouble shooting in master data and transactional errors
(b) Training
(c) Interaction with team on proactive basis
(d) Facilitating to get MIS Reports
(e) Preparing FS document for Inhouse reports

More training needed

I recently bought a new tablet on Best Buy.com and choose to pick up in store, I came to the Eagan MN Best Buy to pick it up and I wanted to use a $5 coupon and some reward certificates to bring the price down by $20.
I work retail as well and I know what had to happen to accomplish this but it was not my place to tell him how to do his job. I understood that the items had to be returned to apply the coupons and certificates, but what the associate and ASM didn't know was typically a hold is placed on a credit card until the funds are returned, I run across this all the time at work so what I do is rather then return it to the orginal card I put it on a store credit and use it to re ring the sale. I should not have to provide another form of payment to cover a purchase I had made online just to use a coupon and reward certificates to save money on the purchases. I also understand keeping the numbers in line but you cannot provide good customer service if they don't know what there doing and there is not enough associates to help all the customers at the desk especially at the Geek Squad side who need to be trained more but that is an issue for another time.

I'm sorry the associate and manager at our Eagan store didn't ring this through the way you desired in order to manage all the charges; I've been on that end of things myself at other retailers when processing exchanges, and I understand all the timing of the authorizations and refunds. Not a big deal if I have a huge bank account, but generally I don't.

ERP IDES with Retail

Hello
We have ERP 6.0 IDES installed for our internal training. Now, we would like to have Retail IDES as well.
My question is following:
Is it possible to combine those two solution into one server (one central system with one instance) ?
Or maybe I should install it on separate machine.
If installation on one server is possible, then could anybody advise me the solution (high level description) how to combine it?
I have Export DVDs downloaded from SAP MarketPlace
